He hardly raises his voice even though his voice can be easily drowned out by other noises. Even though he is quiet when he speaks Ryoma does not have a monotone voice. Ryoma, while polite in his etiquette, doesn’t have much tact. He speaks his mind and has almost no filter for his words, it is especially noticeable in his criticisms and sarcasm. Ryoma while tactless is very kind hearted and sincere. He enjoys helping people with their problems and can give insightful advice. Ryoma is very observant of his surroundings, and enjoys people watching. This means that his focus is not always in the right place making him space out at times. He also has strange quirks like not drinking anything with ice in it, avoiding anything with the number four, and reciting haikus at random. Ryoma while perceptive in how people feel towards each other, he is rather dense when it comes to how people feel towards him. He is fairly attractive and garners a lot of attention from girls, but Ryoma is oblivious to this fact. It was during a time of unseasonably cold weather, and workers found him passed out with hypothermia. He was taken to the hospital where he was able to recover. Having no memories he was given the name Hiro and shuffled around to different homes and orphanages until Lucille White and Renate Wolf formally adopted him a few months after his mysterious appearance. Lucille [rapier] and Renate [battle axe] are both weapons who had lost their meisters to early death. They meet 12 years prior to Ryoma’s appearance and have become close friends. They eventually moved into a small house together. Lucille first spotted Ryoma on a playground not interacting with the other children. She struck up a conversation with him asking why he wasn’t playing with the other children. Ryoma stated that he did not like how overly concerned everyone was towards him. Lucille’s conversation with Ryoma touched her heart and she was able to convince Renate that they should adopt him. Ryoma and his adoptive mothers are very close. Lucille is an art critique and is very proper and polite. She actively encourages Ryoma’s interest in painting and poetry. She also went through great lengths to teach him to be polite, tactful and neat. She was only partially successful, as although Ryoma is polite he is still rather tactless. Renate is is hot headed and loves working on machines since she works as a mechanic. She is passionate, and despite her rough appearance, she is a real softy. She can be crude and tactless sometimes but she is always sincere. After being adopted by Lucille and Renate, Ryoma joined the school that Nicole Heimholtz attended. She approached him a couple days after he started school and gave him the name Ryoma Takagi. Nicole had caught on that Ryoma didn’t like the name he was given after he was found, and that he was too soft spoken and unassertive to convey this fact to others. Nicole was bold and showed no concern toward the fact that Ryoma was an amnesiac and Ryoma really appreciated that and the two became friends.
