Curly brown hair with bits of blonde leftover from when she did highlights. It's naturally curly and she almost exclusively wears it like that, her favorite style is two space buns with the rest of it down at her shoulders.

She has her earlobes pierced twice, so two holes that she usually keeps a pair of chunky silver hoops and diamond studs in. Has a small, secret, heart tattoo on the side of her left breast. Lowkey wants a nose piercing but the tattoo hurt so bad that she's afraid.

Of average height and weight, Briar stays in shape and keeps her slim figure by eating healthy and going on a run every morning. Before everything happened she was a dancer, but obviously she doesn't have time for that anymore.

Briar's style can be described as boho chic, though she definitely doesn't box herself in when it comes to clothing. Really though, as long as she can move around she's happy.

A senior in high school, Briar radiates confidence and conviction. She knows what she wants and how to get it, however this doesn't qualify her as a bitch by any means. In fact, Briar is one of the most popular girls at her school purely because she's friendly with everyone. Of course she has her own tight knit group of friends, but her dad raised her to be kind to everyone and that's what she's always done. Ever since getting her powers though, Briar has been a bit more on edge and less carefree than usual, which some people have realized and distanced themselves from her for. Being along is something that she fears immensely and with her powers causing her more and more anxiety, she fears that she'll soon push everyone away.

the dark - ever since they came face to face with the shadowy monster that they're up against, Briar has become afraid of being alone both at night and in the pitch black

being alone - Briar used to have a tight-knit group of friends, but she pulled away after gaining her powers out of a fear of hurting them. She's even had to pull away from her father, all she has are the other elementals and she's terrified of losing them too

losing control - while Briar is known to be confident and carefree, she also has severe anxiety. For years she's been able to work around it with therapy and maybe a few smoke sessions, but now she also has to worry about the very valid idea that she could lose control of her powers and hurt someone.
background

early life

As a child, Briar was brought up by a loving father and a mother who always kept a distance. She suffered from terrible postpartum depression and never fully came back from it, leaving a strained relationship between her and her daughter. Briar's dad always came to the rescue though when Melanie was being too hard on their daughter, sticking up for the child in any way he could. Eventually, Briar's mother left in the middle of the night with nothing more than a note saying how she'd always love Mark, Briar's father.

So, it was just Briar and her dad which made the two close to inseparable. Mark was his daughter's number one fan at everything she did, from swim meets to dance competitions, Briar was and always would be a star in his eyes. The two have annual vacations and trips that they take as a duo, never tiring of each other. When Briar's anxiety first reared its head, Mark was the first to console her and help find her a therapist.

later life

Once high school came around, Briar had to drop out of some of her hobbies and sports due to the pressure to succeed as well as her anxiety getting worse. She did audition for the dance team though and quickly became the shining star. As such Briar found herself quickly climbing the ranks of the student body and eventually getting invited to parties and out of school activities. She loved the new social circles and friends she had though, which is how she met her boyfriend, Max Wallows.

Max was a soccer player and quickly caught Briar's eyes at a party one night. He was in a smoke circle and while Briar had never tried weed before, she wanted to be noticed. So, she smoked with the guys, getting to know them all but ending up only in one of their beds at the end of the bight; Max's. Since then the couple has been called potheads, however Briar doesn't mind the label as it really does help ease some of her anxiety and worry.

present

Briar was completely and totally enamored with Max and could see the two in it for the long haul, however that all changed after she got into a car accident with a group of acquaintances from school. It was a normal day at Max's house when the two began fighting about something stupid, he left his room and Briar went out onto his balcony, tapping her acrylics against a potted plant. Immediately it began to grow, flowers blooming along it and Briar knew something was off. The more she learned about her newfound magic though, the more she was able to control it.

Now though, the main six must be teachers of their own to the three new elementals they've found. Since the year they discovered what was going on, Briar has broken up with her boyfriend out of fear of hurting him or putting him in the line of fire. If she could do the same with her dad, Briar would in a heartbeat. For now though, she has to focus on protecting him.
