CLOSED: WE ARE NO LONGER ACCEPTING PLAYERS
During humanity's pursuit to discover time travel, they stumbled upon the ability to trap humans from the past in the present. Using contraptions called Expired Hominid Capture Devices - colloquially referred to as "shells" - the technology works by bringing a person from the past to the present by anchoring them to the shell. Those who have been harnessed to a shell are referred to as Expired Hominid Existences or "ghosts" for they are from the past and therefore technically dead.
Due to the fact that harnessing a ghost seems to have no repercussions in the flow of time, nor have any effect on the future, it is heavily disputed whether or not the ghosts are actually people from the past or simply technological reproductions based on past information and data.
This, in turn, have raised many questions over the legal rights of ghosts and the legality of keeping them chained to the future against their will. Recently, the Terran Government has declared that ghosts have partial legal human rights and has therefore put into action a variety of programs designed to enact their decree.
One of these programs is the Terran EHE Task Force: a police task force with the objective of enforcing all the rights of Expired Hominid Existences.

Welcome to the Terran EHE Task Force! I'm Berry here with my fellow GM Jon .
As a brief overview, we will be playing members of the EHE Task Force as they enforce the rights of ghosts across the universe.
As the word "universe" implies, we will be traveling in space! Therefore, we will have aliens and other planets with lots of fancy technology.
We don't have any upfront player requirements, but we will be accepting players based on the quality of their CS.
World information is located below! You don't have to read all of it if you don't want, but later on it will come in handy for character creation.

The government, from the development of ghost shells, has strictly regulated the production of shells and the harnessing of ghosts to them. However, many underground companies have begun producing shells and selling them for profit - leading to an extensive black market for ghosts and ghost shells. All official shells are marked with the Terran Government Logo and possess an official registration number.
The rights of the ghosts are as follows: All Expired Hominid Existences [EHE] have the right to life or death by their choice; no EHE shall be held in slavery or servitude; no EHE shall be sentenced to torture, cruel or inhumanoid treatment or punishment; every EHE is entitled in to a fair and public hearing by an independent and impartial tribunal; and no EHE may be compelled to belong to an association.
All ghosts have recollections of dying in their past life, and therefore it is not possible to harness the ghost of a currently living person. Ghosts appear in the form of holograms inside their shell enclosure, and their appearance may be altered through the shell. However, their base appearance is how they looked upon the time of their death. Depending on the size and quality of the shell, it is possible the ghost may be able to move by itself as well as interact with the world around it by controlling the shell through their will. Mobile shells usually have additional holding containers so that the ghosts don't wander. - Task Force Information

The characters will all be members of the starship HSC Prisal Advance and all will be members of the EHE Task Force. The HSC Prisal can hold up to twelve people, and is outfitted with the newest space travel technology. The captain of the ship, and highest commanding officer on-board, is named Jann Reade. Jann will be played by me Berries , while the second in command will be played Jon . However, all other ship roles are open for character applications.
Seeing that the government regulations over EHE and shells have just been put into place, our ship's crew will only have recently been assigned. Meanwhile, there are many reports of now-illegal ghost activity across the universe and it will be our job, as apart of the EHE Task Force, to take care of them. In order to assist with inter-species interactions and navigation across non-human planets, the EHE Task Force has also recruited a variety of non-human sentient creatures to assist them. - Universe Information

The year is 2978 on the Terran calendar. It was two hundred years ago that humans discovered the ability to travel through space, and that led to many new discoveries in the universe that have yet to be fully documented. Upon obtaining the ability for space travel, humans immediately came into contact with the race Ien: a similar race to humans but with technology capabilities much higher. The Ien conducted the Sentience Test on the humans. Humanity passed the test, and were induced into the universe as Sentient Beings. From that point on, humans have begun to explore the universe.
The Sentience Test is what is used to determine whether a species in the universe is treated as a sentient being or as a non-sentient being - essentially an animal. New species and beings are being discovered at an alarming rate, but the main five sentient species (from the perspective of the humans) are outlined below the "Locations" tab. All Sentient Species are bound by the following rules;
-No Sentient Species [SS] shall attempt to rule over a world that is not their own.
-No SS shall attempt to reproduce with a species that is not their own.
-No SS may attempt to threaten, threaten, or destroy another species' planet or resources.
Sentient Species are also classified by the species' capacity for intellect. A factor of this is the longlivity of the species, seeing that those who can live longer can gather more intellect. The sentience classifications are as follows: very low, low, moderate, high, very high. - Locations
-
Earth - Planet Earth is the homeland of humans and cyborgs. Run by the Terran Democratic Union, Earth is known for its tremendous population. To solve overpopulation, Earth has devised a system where it has split its population into four: one portion that lives underground, usually consisting of criminals and the lower-class; one portion that lives on the surface which is usually full of the working middle class; the air cities where the rich reside and finally the governing body that resides on TASE 9I29.
TASE 9I29 - A human-made planet situated next to the human moon where all Terran Government Officials reside.
Vospora - Planet Vospora is the domain of the Drawusk and Kroev'uhm. The climate is harsh with high temperatures and two suns; one of which never sets. Technology on Vospora varies, with many of the more rural areas being more traditional but most high-population areas have technology above that of human level. There is no government on Vospora, and the people settle disputes among themselves - with violence if need be. However, crime rates on Vospora are remarkably low as most inhabitants live in fear of their neighbors.
Checomia - Planet Checomia is the homeland of the Vuaps. 90% of the planet is covered in liquid, but instead of water Checomia has its own substitute which is much more dense than water but has many of the same properties. Human scientists have yet to figure out the chemical formula of the substance, and any human who has ventured to Checomia has to bring their own water supply. The liquids of Checomia are home to many strange aquatic creatures that have yet to be discovered.
Ualara - Planet Ualara is where the Ien reside. No human has been permitted to venture upon it, but from space it looks like they have three very clearly divided territories. From brief human interactions with the Ien, it seems they operate through a strict class system with a probable dictator at the top.

Sentient Species Index
Humans | Subclass: Cyborg | Sentience Level: Moderate | Playable Race
> Cyborg | Sentience Level: High | Playable Race
Humans inhabit planet Earth and planet TASE 9I29. They are known for their large population and diversity of customs, languages and appearance. The common language on Earth is English. The requirement to be deemed a "cyborg" is that the human body be at least 25% mechanical or they have a major organ (heart, brain, etc) that is mechanical.
Drawusk | Subclass: None | Sentience Level: Low | Playable Race
The Drawusk are the inhabitants of planet Vospora. They are known for their brute strength and combat capabilities, as their hardy bodies are resilient and strong. However, their intellect is on the lower spectrum of the sentience scale and their societies can tend to be rather primitive. Surprisingly, Drawusk have a talent with languages and most are multilingual.
Kroev'uhm | Subclass: None | Sentience Level: Moderate | Playable Race
The Kroev'uhm, or Kroev for short, are the second inhabitants of the planet Vospora. They are alike the Drawusk in the way that their skin is equally as resilient and their strength is a force to be reckoned with, however the Kroev are much more intelligent than the Drawusk. Kroev are known for their aptitude with mechanics and their love of weaponry is a danger to be reckoned with.
Vuaps | Subclass: None | Sentience Level: High | Unplayable Race
The Vuaps are the inhabitants of Checomia. They are a reclusive race that prefers to keep to themselves, but from the brief interactions that humans have had with them it seems they are a highly intellectual race that run a very organized and advanced society.
Ien | Subclass: Naked, Low, High | Sentience Level: Very High | Unplayable Race
> Ien | Subclass: Naked | Sentience Level: Moderate | Unplayable Race
> Ien | Subclass: Low | Sentience Level: High | Unplayable Race
> Ien | Subclass: High | Sentience Level: Very High | Unplayable Race
The inhabitants of planet Ualara. Not much is known about the Ien aside from the fact that they seem to be the creators and administraters of the sentience test.- UNDISCOVERED
Creature Index
The Dracking are classified as any creature that can survive in space permanently. They never descend onto planets but are one of the biggest dangers in space travel. The smallest Dracking can be the size of a palm, but the biggest can grow to the size of planets themselves. The size of Dracking depends on its age, and as far as is known they can age eternally. Dracking are thought to lack the ability to feel emotions or pain, and solely exist to grow and reproduce.
The Curopper is a parasite found all over the universe and is transmitted by touch. It is unknown where they originated from but now plague all races, as they feed off of lifeforms in order to sustain themselves. The Curopper infect people by making their way into open wounds and festering inside a person's bloodstream. The characteristic sign of a Curopper is a large, pronounced bump under the skin. If left untreated, the Curopper will take control over its host body and become a mindless mutant.
The Greorb is a massive creature only found on Vospora. They live in herds of up to thirty, and leadership is given to the eldest male. While they are generally peaceful, if provoked the Greorb has massive fighting power in a sizable herd for they can often trample anything in their path. Stampedes of Greorbs are one of the most feared events on Vospora, being on par with a natural disaster, and therefore Greorbs are avoided at all costs. They are omnivorous, but usually eat the vegetation found on Vospora.
Another inhabitant of Vospora, the Aughys are massive insect-like creatures. They live in all the dark and secluded parts of Vospora but are carnivores who will devour anything in their path. They travel at night, and are often the subject of children's stories about what will happen to naughty children if they misbehave. Aughys, while they have a mouth, drag prey into their underbelly where the prey is "chewed" before being transferred to the mouth to swallow.
Despite being distantly related to the Vuaps, the Pap failed the sentience test and therefore are classified as creatures. At first, humans considered the Pap as a subclass of Vuaps but over time have edited that description to make them an entirely different species. The Paps are aquatic dwellers who originated on Checomia, but somehow managed to migrate to Earth and now reside in many lakes and water features in Earth - coexisting successfully with humans.
The Qof are a case of a creature that nearly passed the sentience test but failed at the last moment. The Ien kept it to themselves why the Qof did not pass, but the Qof have the ability to speak language and have the ability to complete most motor skills as long as their tri-pod legs allow it. Qof are scattered throughout the universe and live a nomadic lifestyle. Their origin is unknown. Most humans are friendly with the Qof for many have learned English, but the Qof are disdained by all other species.- UNDISCOVERED
