My hilarity ensued from following the Pimp link and thinking "man, what a great spoof... how'd they get it on the WW site?!!11"... before realising... it's real...
Comedy GOLD is what that is. Â Reminds me of the dude I was in a game with who was like, "Yo, my guy's a horse whisperer, so he's all smooth and shit. Â Can I make my Ride Charms apply to women?" Â Which went down in my book as Most Egregious Example Of I-Was-Stoned-When-I-Made-My-Character Ever.
The last Mage game we did, we had a cabal that was based out of the club I worked at. Â We then built the Iron Horse Form of Do. Â
It included rotes like "Cook Rushes the Stage," "Add On Finger," Â "Spinning Dishwasher's Kick," "Ignoring the Rider Form," "Patron Flees the Table," "Sad Folksinger's Form," "Drunken Bluesman Form," "Stealing the Mic," "Collect the Tip," "Free-Form Jazz Stance," "Engineer Blows the Fuse," "Second Show Breathing," "Empty Glass Hand," "Bartender Cuts off the Frat Boy," and "Superior Waiter Bumps Up the Check." Â
We had a lot of fun with it, since we were all employees of the Iron Horse, and we were playing versions of ourselves, so it was a lot of fun for us, but eventually we made it work. Â Sometimes gimmick styles can work if you can balance the jokes with good game play.
One of the sad things, since we were all training together, we very often acted out brief bits of each rote when our characters were performing them. Â
Dave was amazingly good with "Collect the Tip" and "Add On Finger"...
