The Frozen Kingdom (LaceGloves + Feels...)

All she heard was a soft crash and then, poof, she was there. The rightful queen didn't know how she escaped from the frozen prison, but she did. Literally, in a flash. She glanced around at the room she was in. Books were strewn about everywhere, and vials of liquid decorated the shelves. Then she looked down at her feet and scowled a menacing stare with her crystal blue eyes. A boy lied there, with his mouth open like a fish's. She flipped her long black hair out of her face so the boy could see her scowl better.

"Peasant." She addressed softly, yet firm, "Take me to the kingdom of Annalishka. I have business to attend to there." She then held her hand to her chest, "I am Marie Alderwinn the rightful heir to the throne. Don't question my intentions, just bring me there quickly."

Marie was not a very patient lady, so she gracefully whisked a hand in front of the boys face. A gesture, asking him to use it to stand up. "Hurry now." She somewhat commanded.

He opened his eyes. There was a girl on top of her. She had long shiny black hair and icy blue eyes. He made a fish face and looked at her beauty. The lady got up and called him a peasant. She turned out a snob in his opinion Peasant? Are you kidding me? Is what he said in his head. You can't always expect people to be nice when their pretty. It's only like that in movies or cartoons. The girl continued on saying she was the rightful heir to the thrown of a kingdom called Anna.... what ever it was called. He got up then laughed uncontrollably. "Yea.. right. Don't make me cry Mrs. Alderwinn." He wiped a tear from his eye. He walked away and continued laughing. His stomach started to feel pain and his smile started to hurt. He pushed his glasses up and his laughter died down. "Okay.. time to get back to work,"

The girl frowned at his laughter and was shocked when he just strolled away like it was nothing. Before, no one would treat her like that. She pouted like a child and folded her arms. She thought that maybe she should try a different approach.

Marie walked forwards, following the boy to his destination. She coughed to make herself noticed and said, "I suppose you do not believe me. I guess I will just have to explain." She then perched herself upon the wooden chair and crossed her legs. "Well you see...I come from that snowglobe you just broke. The witch in my kingdom was a good friend of mine so I trusted her." Marie paused, "She trapped me in that accursed freezer globe for the longest time. Now that I'm free I plan to regain my rule over the kingdom."

Hearing the girl's footstep he turned around. She heard her story about how she was from a snowglobe. He covered his mouth trying not to laugh. The boy couldn't hole it. His laughter exploded and fell on the floor. He couldn't breath and got up. He finally started breathing normally. "So what your saying is that your from a snowglobe. Does that seem realistic to you at all? Are you that drunk?" He looked at her all puzzled. He thought she should stop hitting the bar. He walked away again. "Go home Marie.. you're drunk, or find someone else here even though there isn't a lot of people," He chuckled.

She was frustrated. Steaming. Boiling. Not wanting to deal with his ignorant arse anymore. "Well excuse me for being honest." Marie said, trying hard not to be too angry. "I'm afraid I do not have any sort of proof either Mr...whatever your name is."

The rightful queen then flipped her hair back and stomped back to the shattered snowglobe, "If I wasn't telling the truth, there would still be a figurine of a woman here, right? Well, it's not there anymore, is it. Any explanation for that? Why are you even an alchemist if you find it that hard to think outside the box?" She exclaimed with hand motions and all.

She had looked at the bottles and elixers, assuming he was a medecine maker, or an alchemist. She chose alchemist.

Was he insulted? He turned around and walked up to her. "Are you the only one from the globe? If not then where are your friends!? I would like to see the whole kingdom of Anna thingy town!" He waited and tapped his foot quickly waiting for the other members. "I don't see them, oh wait I think I know why. It's because the don't exist!" He got frustrated and facepalmed.

She bit her lip now, somewhat hurt. He was right. Where were her friends? Surely they would've come to save her by now, but apparently not. "I'm positive it exists." She said in some sort of a whisper. "I'm absolutely...positive." She then sighed, and glared at him once more.

She then turned away and walked right out the front door in the middle of a blizzard. What a crazy girl she was that his words didn't stop her determination. She was now convinced that her kingdom was being held captive. She believed no one could go in or go out to spread the news of the new 'queen'.

He watched her walk away all upset. Did he go that far? "Oh shoot. What did I just do?" He ran after her. "I'm Sorry! Did I make you that upset..." He looked at her feeling guilty. "Don't worry. Even if you were a queen in your world, your a peasant in this world. So you get to learn what it's like being like me." He smiled. "You need to look for a place to find now and you might need money if you don't have any..." He looked at her.

Marie raised an eyebrow questionably, "I'm pretty sure it was in this world." She said with a determined look on her face. "I wouldn't just forget my kingdom like that." She decided to look at him for once. Straight in the eye. "I'm not going to even consider your offer. I have a duty to fulfill." The queen creased her eyebrows, "It's my duty, so I need to try at least. You would understand right boy?"

Her hand was placed upon her waist in a challenging way. "I wouldn't mind if you wanted to join me though. If you're up for it that is."

The boy scoffed. Her duty to try at least. "Fine.. I'm coming peasant," the boy answered. He didn't really care, he was always bored and alone doing work or something. If she did get tired or helpless he would invite her to his place. "We're going on an adventure!" He exclaimed.

If she was paying any attention she would've retorted ''I'm not a mere peasant!', but she was more worried about her people than her excessive pride.

Instead, she continued on her way to the left. The opposite way from the nearby village. She assumed the boy would follow, but she couldn't call him peasent the entire time so she decided to ask, "May I ask what I can call you? You seem quite offended when I call you a ...peasant."

He stared at her. "Of course I get offended when you call me a peasant! I bet you felt mad when I called you a peasant." He looked up at the sky thinking of a name she should call him. "Hmmm... how about you call me what ever you want. I don't really like giving people my name. You can name me is what I'm trying to say I guess.." He replied. He followed her as they traveled to find a place for her to stay.

She looked up to the sky and thought for a moment. She couldn't just give him a common name like Bob or Joe. It needed to be something that suited her tastes. So therefore it took time. About an hour tops without speaking. Only their footsteps in the snow were heard.

When they came upon a lake she almost shouted, "I've got it!", and turned to face him, "Your name will be Dimitri. Isn't it just brilliant?" She was so excited that there was a slight glimmer in her eyes. She was quite easily excitable after all. "I mean...if that's all right with you commoner."

Marie turned around again, back to her normal exterior.

He waited about an hour for a name. He yawned and looked at her when she yelled "I got it" Turns out his name for Marie was now Dimitri. He looked at her and her last word to him was commoner. His face froze. Commoner? Commoner! Now I'm a commoner?! How do you know if I'm rich or not?! He scoffed and shrugged. "It's fine I guess... There isn't anything wrong with that name Marie." Dimitri smiled. "Now.. where are we going?" He asked.

"Well" she said as she scanned the area, using her less than perfect navigation skills. "It should be across this river, but for some reason the bridge is gone."

Marie took a step onto it and realized it was solid anyways. "Thank goodness it's winter." She exclaimed with a slight sigh. "You do know how to ice skate right Dimitri? I,d hate it if you fell."

She was challenging him.

"Ice skate? Not real- wait.. Are you challenging me? How are we suppose to ice skate anyway? I have no ice skating shoes." Dimitri replied. He pushed his glasses back up. Looking down at the water he asked "how do you know if it's thick enough to hold us?" It didn't really look thin or thick. He was just worried if it was strong or weak.

"We can just use our shoes." She replied with a grin. "It's like sliding with your socks on a wooden floor." Marie wasn't really worried about whether it was thin or thick honestly, because she had ice skated on the same river several times before she was trapped when she was a child. She trusted it like an old friend. Instead of answering the actual question Marie demonstrated by stepping herself onto the ice and half-jumping a couple times. "What, are you scared?" She asked as she twirled around to focus her blue eyes on him. "If you are I can carry you." Marie was just teasing, but she was also trying to urge him to hurry up. She was worried about what had become of her kingdom.

Marie pushed his buttons. "Carry me?! Pshhh... I can get to the other side. Watch," Dimitri glared at her. He went to the ice and sat down on it. He pushed himself to the other side and fell flat on his face. He lifted himself up when he was on the other side. Snow was all over him. "See... And you said I was scared..." He said. He wiped the snow off him and waited for her to cross.

Marie laughed of course. She laughed so hard that she almost fell on her own face. She hadn't laughed like that in years, considering she was trapped in a snow globe for the longest time. When she stopped, she began to somewhat 'skate' across the ice when a wisp of black magic made its way to the side she came from. It landed where she put her first step. The ice began to split.

Marie frowned and quickly made her way across, almost getting caught in the process. It was all ice water the second she landed on the ice covered ground. "The witch knows I'm back." She exclaimed with a worried expression. "Even if you don't believe me, we must hurry. Before she plans something terrible."

The rightful queen was almost out of breath, hair in her face, and eyes full of worry.

Dimitri gave her a look. "What are you laughing for?" He asked. The ice had split and heard the story about the witch coming back. "Are you still drunk? It doesn't exist. Were you in a coma or something and you were in a dream all along? Who knows.. I'm sure the witch doesn't exist. Let's continue the journey." He told her.

Being a sheltered child growing up, she had no clue how to respond, "What is 'drunk' Dimitri?" She asked with a confused look on her face, "I am being quite serious after all."

She then headed on her way again, once again assuming her companion was following close behind. She bit her thumb nail nervously. "I don't appreciate your stubborn-like attitude pease- I mean" she paused for a moment and calmed down, "Dimitri."

The forest was the next obstacle, and she needed to be patient to get through it.

Dimitri facepalmed. "Fine.. you win. I believe you since you don't know what drunk is. I thought this 'witch' is your friend like you told me. Did you lie or something?" He asked. He kinda remembers but not so sure if she said the witch was her friend. "Just what are you gonna do with her when you find her or something? Beat her up?"

Marie retorted quickly, "She betrayed me." And began to walk faster. "She is my former friend and not very close to me anymore."

She flipped her hair out of her face again, "When I see her again..I will challenge her. Then I'll win." Marie answered determined. "Beating her up wouldn't be very classy. "

Dimitri laughed. "Don't be so sure you can win. Anything can happen you know? Just try your best. So where are we going now?" He waited until they started walking. The snow started falling down even more. He looked at Marie. "Aren't you cold?"

She did feel a little cold, but she believed she could deal with it. Marie answered as she put her arms around herself, "Just a little bit." She then shrugged, "I can deal with it though. We should be coming across a cave in about another hour anyways."

Her face contorted into a questioning stare, "Are you cold?"
