Lucian was sitting in the living room. His face was buried into a book. He was happy with the peace, but it was so boring after a while. Then he opened his box on the table. He pulled out one of the small bottles. That box held all of his favorite poisons. He had always loved the efficient way of killing. He began to mix a few. Then he pulled out a bottle that read 'Scorpion' This was his absolute favorite of all of his poisons. He looked around the old Victorian house. He thought he had heard something. After a minute he shrugged it off and went back to his poisons

outside in the backyard laying down looing up at the sky trying to calm my self down. but I can I just want to hurt someone cause im mad.

Callidus was standing behind a curtain, peering over at her father. He was messing with his poisons again. Which meant she had to be careful what she ate or drank in the next 24 hours. She just hoped that her father didn't have the heart to kill her. But who knew? She'd be fine with killing him. She was completely still, her hands not moving by her sides and her feet planted firmly on the ground. Her eyes were glazed over and she wasn't blinking at all. If it wasn't for her light breathing, she could easily be thought of as dead.

Lucian stopped messing with his poisons and smiled. He had a knack for knowing when his daughter was close "Callidus, you can come out now." He closed his box and looked around. He could tell she was there, but he couldn't tell were

Kimura was sitting in her room, the candles unlit, though an effect of a blue, mystical fog, that seemed to give off a tiny bit of light. She sat upon her throne, playing with one of her needles. "Such a bore... I wish somebody would knock on the door so I could have a little fun... Perhaps I'll just wander the house for a bit..." One moment, she was sitting in the chair. The next, she was gone, now in her secret passages. A misty effect covers the floor right next to Callidus, lightly surrounding where Kimura appears, like some kind of spirit. She places her hand gently on the girl's shoulder, a playful and mischievous smile slightly on her face . "Is Lucian playing with his poison again?" She spoke in a mysterious, quiet, and calming tone, as though she didn't worry about the poison. She lightly pushes her out from the curtain, disappearing into her secret passage once more.

For a moment, she considered if she should move or not. But if he knew that she was there, then there was no point hiding. Then, Kimura appeared from nowhere. Callidus wished she would stop doing that. It was irritating. As she was pushed out from behind the curtain, Callidus had to accept that her hiding place was ruined.

"Hello Father." she said, "How are you?" She gently swung her arms back and forth by her sides.

Lucian looked at her and smiled "I'm fine. Let me guess, your mother pushed you out?" He looked at the roof "Why don't you come out love?" He did want to see her. She was the thing that has kept him alive over the years. He loved her more than his own life

A gentle mist floated up from behind the couch, Kimura appearing from it, leaning down and kissing Lucian on the cheek. "You called for me?" She slowly walked around the couch, sitting next to him.

Lucian smiles and looks at her "I was going to come and see you, but apparently you wanted to see us more." He leans over to her and lightly kisses her lips "Next time forewarn me."

Callidus crossed her arms and looked at her parents in disgust. Must her parents show affection to one another right in front of her? She knew that they loved each other, she was the result of that. So, they didn't have to keep kissing to prove it.

"Your displays of affection disgust me." she said, before turning and walking from the room. She walked up the stairs slowly, in no rush, until she reached the top. She went into her bedroom, stepping carefully over the tripwire that she'd strung across the bottom of the doorway, and shut the door behind her.

Lucian smiles "That girl is just a little off." He turned back to his wife with a smile "Now why do you like hiding so much?"

Kimura lightly presses a needle up to Lucian's neck, making it to where he feels a tingle through his body, but can't feel the needle. She drops the needle down inside the couch, slowly pulling back from the kiss. "I thought I explained it to you when we got married~ I might as well go check on her now~" She slips down into the couch, the cushion spinning back to where she just got flipped underneath it, her disappearing as the cushion returns to its position, the couch no longer having a pathway under the cushion. After a minute or two, she lightly drops to the floor of Callidus's room, right behind her, not making a sound. She wipes off her lips with her finger, knowing he might have had poison on his lips for that kiss. "You know, I would really like it if you would stay around once in a while~"

Lucian smiles and licks the poison off his lips. He had become immune to all poisons years ago. He looked around and tried to find her needles "She's to good."

She didn't even flinch and turned around slowly to face her mother.

"You would like me to do a lot of things." Callidus said, without turning around, "But I don't have to do anything you say, Mother. Will you leave me alone now?" She crossed the room and sat down on her bed, bolt upright. She rested both hands on her lap and watched her mother expectedly.

She calmly walked over to Callidus, sitting down and gently stroking through her hair. "Why would I leave you alone...? I cannot leave somebody as precious to me as you alone..." She kisses her on the forehead, hugging her lightly for a moment. She slips back, swinging under her bed, a light mist coming out from it for a second, her now gone once more.

The needle she dropped into the couch was gone, having actually been dropped in a spot with the tiniest of holes, that took it through a small pipe, carrying it down to a storage of needles under the house for Kimura to use.

Lucian sat up and opened his book again. Any minute now he would have to cook, but he wanted his family together and hopefully in one piece. Yes they did try to kill each other, but that's how they showed love. He sighed and closed his book. He adjusted his glasses, just wanting five minutes with his loved ones

Callidus didn't try to wriggle free of her mother and her unnerving closeness. Nor did she shudder at being kissed on the forehead. She just waited until her mother was gone and then she bent over and pulled out the box from under her bed. It was full of sheets of plain paper, which she removed from the box and crumpled up. Then, she arranged them in a pile on the floor. She found the box of matches that she kept under her mattress and struck a match. She put it to the paper and watched as it began to smoulder and smoke. She wasn't sure what intrigued her about fire; the amount of people killed by it per year, it's tendency to burn everything in it's path, how pretty the flames and smoke looked together. But she loved to watch things burn.

Kimura was in the kitchen, grabbing various cooking materials, having decided to cook today, which was very rare of her to do. The stove turning on could be heard, cupboards opening and closing, as well as a simmering sound soon after. The smell of her cooking floating throughout the living room and kitchen, even slightly extending to upstairs. Such a beautiful and delicious scent was rare, and would immediately let one know whose cooking it was.

Lucian smells the air. Only one person he knew who could cook like that. He stands and walks into the kitchen. He wraps his arms around her as she cooks and kisses her neck "Your cooking today, why is that?" his arms were gentle around her waist. He was always so gentle when it came to her, except when they were trying to kill each other
