Max smiled happily and moved to kiss him gently "Didnt want you staying cold when I was gone." She said softly giving a small laugh as she stared at him "How was the rest of your day? Im so sorry I couldn't come back, the family was a mad house in all honesty and by the time I finished visiting hours were about to be over."

Norman went out and got them a quick breakfast heading hom quickly after. However as soon as he got home he looked at the time seeing he needed to go to work now, so without telling her anything he rushed out the door and ate on the way in

Jeffery shakes his head. “It’s fine. My mom was here.” He murmurs and shrugs a little. He still felt bad about keeping Lyla a secret but he wanted to ease her into this. He wanted her to like Lyla and Layla to like Max.

Chleo wakes up later and trudges downstairs, seeing the food. She sighs softly and heats it up, eating quickly and then getting ready and heading to the hospital.

Max sat at her place curled in Jeffrey's arms as they watched movie on the TV. He had been getting better lately and soon would be back to work. So for tonight they decided to have one last day to themselves before he went back. She looked over at him and smiled softly "Are you excited to be back on the job?"

Norman sat in the bathroom at home rocking back and forth on the floor as he tried to calm himself down. He had been having worse nightmares as of late and the job was really getting to him. Finally he hsd gotten the promotion to detective but now these recent homicides had been weighing heavily on him. He kept it together infront of Chleo and Dehlila though, he wasn't going to let them see him crumble when he knew Chleo was having a bit of a hard time now that Dehlila was home with them

Jeffery holds her close and kisses her head softly. He nods a little. “Yeah I am. Wish I could have gone sooner.” He admits. He was like most of the guys, proud of his job and ready to keep doing it no matter what. He rubs her side and smiles at her. “Hopefully this time without landing back in the hospital.

Chleo sits in Dehlilas nursery and lays her down in her crib when she’s finally asleep. It had been tough the last month. She was different to take care of then Chleo expected but she loved her so much. Norman has also been different and she wasn’t sure what to do. She sighs softly and knocks on the bathroom door. “Babe you almost done in there? I need to get a shower I’m before she wakes up again.”

Max laughed softly and gave a small nod "Yes yes that would be good if you didn't do that again." She said happily biting her lip "Well, I should probably take a shower, I forgot I had an early shoot tomorrow." She said before getting but and making her way towards the restroom "You're more than welcome to join me!!" She called out from around the corner giggling when she heard his heavy footsteps approaching fast.

Norman snapped put of his thoughts and stared at the door for a moment before he got and pretended to wash his hands. He opened up and gave her a soft smile "All yours babe, I got her if she wake up again." He said quietly kissing the top of her head gently before he moved out of her way. The one good thing that came with this promotion was the fact that he had a solid schedule for the most part now.

Jeffery nods a little and let’s her leave. He hears her invitation to join and quickly gets up, pausing the movie and rushing down the hall. He smirks at her and wraps his arms around her, kissing her neck softly. “Hmm I’ll never turn that invite down.” He murmurs and closes the door to the bathroom.

Chleo nods a little and leans up, kissing him softly. She heads into the bathroom and gets a quick shower in and then goes into their bedroom and gets dressed. She sighs softly and pulls her hair into a messy bun. “Babe?” She calls and waits for him to pop up.

Max squealed happily as he ran into her while wrapping his arms around her "Mmm I'm glad." She said softly before she kissed him lovingly as they went into the restroom. She got out once they finished up and quickly dried off wrapping a towel around her hair and another around her body "Now I could get used to showers like that." She said turning around to find him wrapping a towel around his waist

Norman sat in Dehlila's room with his gun on his belt for protection scared someone might come and take her. He had worked a kidnapping recently and he was beyond paranoid of loosing their daughter now. He looked at the door drawing his gun quickly but soon put it away once he saw it was only Chleo "Hey...sorry I just....just worried someone might get her."

Jeffery smiles and wraps the towel around himself. “Same here.” He murmurs and looks at her. He heads over to her and kisses her softly. “Are you heading home tonight?” He asks softly.

Chleo gasps and holds her hand to her heart. “What the hell Norman?” Sherushes over to the crib and moves him away from it, picking up Dehlila. “I already told you not to have that thing near her!” She rocks Dehlila gently and holds her tightly. “Put that thing up!” She snaps at him. She didn’t like what he had been turning into lately and he was starting to scare her.

Max kissed him back and smiled softly "Mmm well if you want me to I can, but I could stay over too." She said softly as she looked up at him biting down on her bottom lip gently

Norman frowned and quickly put the gun away "Its for protection damn it! I wasn't going to hurt her!" He yelled shaking his head glaring as he came back into the roon looking at her "Babe she is okay, you really think I would hurt her?"

Jeffery smiles and kisses her head softly. “I would like you to stay.” He murmurs softly and holds her close. He kisses her softly and smiles at her.

Chleo backs away a little as he yells and glares at her. She holds Dehlila to her protectively. “I don’t know what you’d do anymore Norman you haven’t been yourself. You’re starting to scare me.”

Max smiled widely at him and turned to pick up her clothes. She was super excited now, this would be her first stay at his place. She walked out of the bathroom and slipped on her underwear again "Could I borrow a shirt to sleep in?"

Norman frowned shaking his head more "Nothing is wrong damn it! I'm trying! I'm being strong for the both of you and you're just not understanding!" He yelled before he stormed out of the room and went to lock himself in theirs.

Jeffery nods and heads into his room. He grabs something for him to wear and lets her have free range of his shirts. He pulls on boxers and some pj pants before plopping on the bed.

Chleo whimpers softly and kisses Dehlila head. “It’s okay sweetie.” She murmurs and sighs softly. She lays her back down and stays in the nursery, just sitting in the rocking chair and thinking.

Max slipped on his shirt and crawled into bed with him smiling softly "Jeffrey....I love you." She said softly looking into his eyes biting her lip gently. She had finally said it,it was out now but she didnt regret saying it one bit. She knew she was absolutely and utterly in love with this man she was with and she wanted him to finally know that.

Norman sat in bed letting a few tears fall as he thought about everything that was going on and it was killing him on the inside but he still had this mentallity that he needed to be strong for Chleo, not be a weak man. She was dealing with alot with Dehlila and she didn't need to deal with him either.

Jeffery smiles at her and pulls her close. “I love you too Max.” He murmurs soflty and kisses her nose he holds her close and rubs her back gently. He knew he loved her, so much. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with her. He wanted her to love Lyla. He wanted a family with her.

Chleo finally gets up and heads to their room. She goes inside carefully and sees him on the bed. She sighs softly and goes past him to grab her book off the nightstand.

Max smiled widely and kissed him lovingly "You mean that?" She asked softly letting a few tears fall. In all honesty she had been worried that she really would never find someone that loved her again. Her heart had been broken so hard with her ex that she was scared that someone wouldnt be interested.

Norman looked over at her and gave a small sigh "You coming to bed babe?"
he asked softly reaching out for her wanting to have her next to him

Jeffery smiles and nods. “Of course I mean it.” He murmurs softly and kisses her. He holds her close and cups her cheek softly.

Chleo holds the book to her chest and moves away from him a little. “I’m gonna go read for a bit.” He murmurs soflty and watches him.

Max smiled softly at him and kissed him lovingly moving to straddle his waist keeping her body close to his not able to help it as a tear slid down her face.

Norman sighed heavily and nodded "Okay babe." He whispered before he fell asleep curled up under the covers

Jeffery sees beer crying and frowns. He sits up and wipes her eyes gently. “Baby what’s wrong?” He asks spftly and watches her.

Chleo sighs and heads to the living room. She curls up with a blanket and reads for a bit before falling asleep down there

Max looked at him and smiled wide before she took a deep breath to calm herself "I just...my ex and I were going to get married...but um as you can see it didn't work out and I was so hurt after it, I honestly thought I wasn't desirable, that maybe..no one would love me." She admits looking at him "Its a big reason why I havent let myself get close to anyone in a romantic way for so long. I didn't think there was a point if they weren't going to love me."

Jeffery frowns and pulls her close. He kisses her head softly and hugs her tightly. “Well I love you, so much.” He murmurd softly and kisses her head gently. He lays down with her and cuddles her close, covering them both up. “You’re stuck with me now.” He murmurs and kisses her cheek. He nuzzles his face in her neck and smiles agaisnt her skin. He was glad he had her. He never really thought he’d be able to find someone else.

Max smiled widely anx giggled softly cuddling up close to him "I love you too Jeffrey." She whispered yawni g softly as she felt her eyes start to droop "Im so glad I asked you to get me that bread.." she murmured as she started to drift off to sleep

Max woke up early in the morning to Jeffrey's alarm clock blaring for him to wake up. She grumbled softly and gave a small smile seeing him laying there starting to wake up "Goodmorning babe." she whispered before leaning forward and kissing him gently

Norman woke up in the morning groaning as Dehlila screamed bloody murder in the other room. He got up and went into her room picking her up bouncing her gently "Shh shh I got you, daddy has you." he whispered frowning when he saw Chleo came into the room coming straight to take her away from him "I got her."

Jeffery smiles at her and kisses her back softly. “Good morning beautiful.” He murmurs softly and kisses her nose. He gets up and heads into the bathroom to take a shower.

Chleo woke up to Dehlila screaming and heads upstairs. She sees Norman holding her and tenses a little, making a bee line for them. “It’s fine. She’s probably hungry anyway.” She mumbles and takes her despite his protests. She holds her close and goes to sit down in the rocking chair.

Max smiled happily and sat clutching the sheet to her body as he got up "Mmm how did you sleep babe?" she asked as he made his way towards the bathroom.

Norman sighed heavily "Babe, I know how to feed her." he muttered frowning as she continued to go and feed her. He frowned and stormed off to get ready seeing he needed to be at work soon anyways.
