Martha came in only a few short minutes after Max had left the hospital. She held Lyla close to her as they went into Jeff's room letting out a sigh of relief seeing his tired "You scared us." She murmured letting Lyla clamber onto the bed and quickly cuddle into Jeff 'Daddy!'

Jeffery holds Lyla close and kisses her head. “I know. I’m sorry.” He murmurs softly and rubs Lylas back softly. “I love you sweet girl.” He murmurs softly.

Lyla looked up at him her bottom lip quivering as she looked at him a few tears falling 'Daddy hurt!' She cried pointing to the wires on him scared that he was seriously injured "No heavwen daddy!"

Jeffery frowns at her last statement and hugs her tightly. “Oh baby no. No heaven. I’m fine I promise you. I’ll be out of here soon baby.” He murmurs and kisses her head. “It’s okay.” He murmurs softly and holds her close. He looks at his mom. “Don’t worry about taking her home tonight. I want her here.” He murmurs soflty.

Martha gave a small nod and watched her granddaughter sighing softly "She can stay til visiting hours are over, but they wont let her stay the night." She said softly

Lyla held onto her father tightly whimpering some as she started to calm down "Okay...pwomise?" She asked sticking out her pinky looking at him with her lip put out in a giant pout looking at him with puppy dog eyes.

Jeffery sighs but nods. She kisses her head and wraps their pinky’s. “I promise princess.” He murmurs softly. He kisses her head soflty.

Lyla smiled softly and cuddled him close but gasped reaching for her grandma "Grammie picture!!" She squealed smiling as she was handed the picture she made of her dad on the fire truck "It you!!"

Jeffery smiles and takes the picture. “I love it baby.” He murmurs and kisses her head softly. He holds her close and cuddles wit her. “How was your day baby?”

Lyla giggled happily and smiled widely "I colowr, I pway pwincess, oh! I pway super hewo too! I save Gammy from bad guy!" She said excitedly

Lyla nodded happily and cuddled him close. As the day progressed on and soon turned to night Lyla waved goodbye to her dad after having to be persuaded for a good twenty minutes by both her dad and grandma that she needed to sleep at home.

Norman sat with Chleo at their hoke that night yawning softly, completely thankful to not have the grave yard shift again, however he would be having the early morning shift the following day "How was Jeff? He seem alright?" He asked having not wanted to bother his friend when he found out his daughter was there.

Jeffery kisses Lylas head and cheek softly. “I’ll see you tomorrow okay?” He assures her and lets her leave with his mom. He frowns a little and sighs. A nurse comes in a little later and makes him lay on his stomach, putting some ointment on his burns and rewrapping them.

Chleo looks up at him and holds his hand gently. She was laying with her head in his lap. “He’s doing good. Not even acting like he’s in any pain. I guess the pain meds are helping with that.” She murmurs softly.

Norman gave a small nod and smiled "Sounds just like Jeff." He said laughing a bit as he ran his fingers through her hair gently "How are you feeling?" He asked softly

Chleo shrugs a little and plays with his fingers gently. “I’m okay.” She murmurs softly and laces their fingers together. “How are you?” She asks softly.

Norman frowned softly "Babe I can tell youXre upset, talk to me." He murmured completely brushing off her question wanting to worry about her more than himself

Chleo frowns when he ignores the question and sighs softly. “I’m fine.” She assures him and sits up. She runs a hand through her hair gently.

Norman gave a soft sigh and nodded pulled her onto his lap "I say we head to bed, and in the morning I'll take you out for breakfast before I go." He murmured tiredly to her as he held her close to his body

Chleo nods a little and kisses his cheek. “Okay.” She murmurs soflty and gets up. He heads up to their room and changes into pjs before crawling into bed.

Max woke up early the next morning and got ready wanting to get breakfast for her and Jeffrey. She made her way to the hospital with breakfast and present in tow for Jeffrey hoping he would like it.

Norman woke up groaning softly in the morning as he heard the alarm clock blare next to him. He sighed and shut it off quickly before getting up to get ready for the day noticing Chleo start to stir next to him

Jeffery was up early, not really being able to sleep that night. He sighs and shifts a little. He was a little uncomfortable with those he burns but he was okay.

Chleo hears the alarm and whines softly. She pulls the blanket over her head. She sighs softly and tries to fall back asleep.

Max came into his room giving a soft smiling seeing him awake "Morning sunshine." She said softly sitting down next to him "Brought you some breakfast." She said as she pulled out the food

Norman chuckled softly and went over to her kissing the top of her head gently "You want me to get you anything to eat?" He asked her quietly as she made it obvious she wouldnt be waking up to go get breakfast with him like they had planned.

Jeffery smiles when he sees her and scoots over for her. “Hey beautiful.” He murmurs softly and kisses her cheek. “Yay!” He takes the food and starts eating.

Chleo peels out of the covers at him and looks at him with droopy life. “No it’s fine.” She murmurs and groans softly. “I’ll get up.” She tells him, though she instantly closes her eyes again as she was talking.

Max smiled happily and took her food out as well starting to eat. Once he finished up she quickly got her other bag out and pulled out a sweater just for him "I also got you this! I know its not much of a fireman style but it was the closest thing I could find." She said giving a small smile hoping he would like it

Norman chuckled softly shaking his head "Dont worry babe, get some sleep okay? I'll see you this afternoon." He murmured kissing her cheek gently before he went to get his shoes on

Jeffery looks up at her and looks at the sweater. He smiles and kisses her cheek softly. “I love it.” He murmurs and takes it from her gently. He slides it on carefully and grins. “It’s perfect.”

Chleo nods a little and stretches. She turns over and falls back asleep pretty quickly.
