Norman nodded some "Yeah...wasn't that good but I did." He murmured taking his daughter into his arms. In actuality he had maybe gotten 30 minutes of sleep before nightmares of him shooting people dead started to fill his brain and he couldn't take it anymore. They had been getting a lot worse lately but he didn't want to stress Chleo out about it.

The little girl clung to Jeffrey crying loudly "Mommy!!" she yelled pointing to another room screaming as a beam fell in front of them. She sobbed the entire time Jeffrey took her out and pointed at the building when another woman's screams could be heard coming from the second floor "Mommy!!" she sobbed louder looking at Jeffrey in terror

Jeffery gets the little girl out and hears the woman screaming. He puts her down and tells the chief he was going back in. He manages to get to her and just as they were getting out he heard a beam breaking. He manages to push her out of the way and into the arms of one of the other guys before he feels the beam drop on him. He cries out and feels the fire on his back.

Ryan, one of his fellow co-workers, heard him scream and went wide eyed seeing him fall "Man down we have a man down!!!" he yelled into his radio trying to go down and get Jeffrey out ending up falling as well. He still did his best to try and get the knocked out Jeffrey out of the fire. Around 30 minutes later the fire was out and Jeffrey was being emergency evacuated with Ryan to the hospital to tend to their injuries.
Max sat at the fire station frowning as she saw the fire trucks come back. She got out looking around feeling her heart rate start to speed up when she didn't see Jeffrey get off the trucks. She rushed over seeing one of the men Jeffrey had just introduced her to this morning "Jeffrey...where is he?" she asked quietly feeling a harsh gulp slide down her throat when he explained what happened. She quickly rushed to the hospital trying to find him but when was told he had been rushed to emergency surgery she felt her heart stop right then and there.
