OBLIVI; The Dark Continent
Barren, bleak, and murky. The lands in Oblivi leave much to be desired. Swamps infest the land, while the skies continuously drown the continent. The weather on the largest continent on Eterna is unnatural. Some segments are below freezing while the rest is uncomfortably humid. Rainforests litter the land, unfortunately becoming breeding grounds for miscellaneous monstrosities that occasionally pop out and terrorize Thanade. Luckily Thandians possess adept slayers that keep the monster population at bay.
Due to the continent's barren nature, Thandians rely on mining, manual labor, and alchemy to keep the kingdom afloat. Fortunately, Oblivi has a multitude of gold veins that produce a majority of Paradi's building material while the research and labor Thanade provide, maintain the dark continent's relationship with Terra. Oblivi is home to the world's finest blacksmiths, the weapon used to kill humanity's first S-tier was made in these very lands.
The continent of Oblivi is dictated by the blood King. He rules with an iron fist and demands undying loyalty. Said to be a disciple of stoicism, the king of Thanade is a man of few words. Strangely enough, The Blood King has many children. Many, many, children. Out of the fifty children the blood king has scattered throughout the dark continent, only five are given his attention, one being the heir to the throne. Although the king's say is final, Oblivi has the shadow council. A group of nobles who advise and inform this brutal king. The people of Oblivi have the eyes of the moon, an ability that allows them to see in the dark. In addition to this, the people of Oblivi, although rare, can be born with blood magic. This magic allows them to manipulate the blood of their enemies and their own. As if this weren't enough, some possess telekinesis. It's traditional for men and women of Oblivi when they come of age to shape their canines into fangs. This nation's colors are black, red, gold and white. It should be noted, that the two reasons Oblivi hasn't tried to conquer Terra or Paradi are because of Monsters and their need for Paradi's earth magic. In conclusion, this is a deceptive land with a cruel ruler.
Oblivi was once home to many clans. Before adopting the universal name of Thanadians the multiple clans were once called, Nikta, Mydol, and Dysma. The people of the Nikta clan had a strong connection to the mana within, allowing them to enhance their bodies. Mydol were the people of death on Oblivi, possessing the ability to raise corpses as hollow servants. Lastly was the Dysma. The Dysma people possessed telekinesis and blood magic. Desiring the abilities of the other clans, the Dysma people reproduced with Nikta and eventually Mydol, resulting in the Thanade people we have today. Sadly, the Dysma's ability to manipulate blood was a recessive trait that became more and more allusive as the generations went by. It's speculated the Blood King produced so many children in hopes of reviving his ancestor's lost ability. Has he succeeded?
Samuel Frey is the head of the Shadow Council and the only official advisor to the king. A man of many skills, Samuel is in charge of cultivating "raw" talent in Thanade. Especially the talents born from the King's blood. Because of this, Samuel Frey is also a patron of T.I.E.F academy, located in Terra. Any prominent necromancers or telekinetics are recruited from the academy and requested to use their talents in Oblivi. In addition to being a recruiter, Samuel is a strategist. Constantly trying to gain meaningful connections with not just the nobles and talents in Thanade but the other lands as well. No one knows Samuel's true goals, only that at face value he's extremely loyal to Thanade.
Poppy is a woman of humble origins. Born to peasants, Poppy's life didn't start on the brightest note. However, in the small village that Poppy once resided in, she was considered a fabled beauty. In addition to this, Poppy was born with blood magic, a heavily sought-after trait. Unfortunately, this ability was only discovered when a man Poppy tried to pickpocket got handsy, resulting in Poppy instinctively crushing his heart. As if this traumatic experience weren't enough, it was discovered the man Poppy killed was the son of a baron. Thrown in jail with no chance of a fair trial, Poppy knew this was the end for her. Luckily, word spread of how Poppy defended herself, the tale eventually reaching the ears of the Blood King himself. When the king learned that not only was the culprit a blood mage but also a woman, he immediately went to the village located in the middle of nowhere. It's said the blood king fell for Poppy at first sight, as he carried her personally and carefully while promising she'd never know poverty again. Sure enough, the blood king's word rang true as Poppy is the only concubine of the Blood King with full access to the royal treasury. Because of her economic power, Poppy soon became the head of high society in Thanade. No one becomes anything without her permission. Unlike the other women in the Blood King's harem, Poppy isn't there to be bred. Much like the Queen, Poppy is by the King's side because of her talents. Poppy is Thanade's Archmage of Blood Magic.
Isabella Rellum Floyce is a mysterious woman. Rarely seen but always spoken of, Isabella possesses the eyes of death. Not only is Isabella a necromancer, but a gifted one at that. As long as Isabella obtains a keepsake of the deceased, she can resurrect them from anywhere. In addition, Isabella has the ability to not only resurrect but to revive. Because of this, many from Thanade have lived far longer than humanly possible. Isabella included. It's rumored Isabella is older than the kingdom itself, originating from the time of clans. Surprisingly, Isabella isn't a part of the royal entourage. Despite her extremely rare gift, Isabella doesn't stay in the castle but rather roams the world. Always looking to give the loved ones of many a second chance at life.
