A Hopeful Writer
Greetings all, and welcome to my little corner of things. Getting into roleplaying again and wanted to see if I could spark up some interest in two story ideas I have had for a while, though I am also willing to explore other topics of roleplay as well. Before I dive into it all, please keep in mind a few things.
Those minor things out of the way, I will now bore most of you with the two storyline ideas I have, and hopefully intrigue a few of you.
Those are my homebrew stories, but am also interested in some fandom stories if that interests anyone. My favorite tend to be as follows, in order of interest:

- Must Be 18+
- Both stories I have in mind will involve more mature themes and rougher topics, so if that is gonna be a turn away for you I get it.
- Semi-Literate/Literate
- I get those days of low drive and writers block so I do not expect replies every day, but active communication and open discussion of stories/character development/and just general fun is expected.
- Collaboration
- I want this endeavor to be a joint venture, where both parties wants and desires from a storytelling stand point can be explored and discovered. I am more than willing to dm a lot of stuff, but I do want a hand or two.
- Male/Female Pairing
- I am more inclined to MxF pairs in story development, especially if romance (an option, not a requirement), is to develop. I can write either side, and can work with you on what draws your interest.

It has been almost five hundred years since humanity fought for, and secured its freedom from the Elven Confederacy. The ships that carried the liberated slaves to the New World of Endaria have faded into myth and legend, yet the Kingdom of Rendarch still stands. The seven provinces stand united around the Capital, and the advent of black powder and steam technology has pushed the kingdom into a new age of prosperity. United beneath Queen Alianna the IV, the future of mankind has never looked brighter.
That is what everyone wants you to believe though.
The growing Henlo Rebellion to the North has seen the death of hundreds of citizens, and the displacement of thousands more. The conniving Duke Kenrick seeks to exploit the madness of the rebellion to his own ends. The separation and discrimination of the Old Blood and New Blood continues in many of the provinces in the kingdom, shackling the growth and advancement prospects of countless individuals. Among this madness, there are growing reports of Elven ships sighted patrolling the coast line, and fears are mounting that the ancient oppressors of mankind are preparing to exploit this opportunity.
Our characters would be located in the northern province of Henlo. This specifics of who our characters are can be discussed, with a range of options from freedom fighters for the rebellion, young nobles seeking to secure their families future in this chaos, or young strapping military officers seeking to restore order and end the rebellion. Perhaps a mix of all of them, we shall see.

We stood alone, and when the swarm invaded our solar system, every species in the galaxy expected our doom. They were not prepared then when the remnants of mankind emerged from the Dead Zone, the region of the galaxy consumed by the swarm. Human ships darkened the skies of hundreds of worlds, and the 'Great Colonization' saw the galaxy suffer far more damage than the swarm ever could have done. Half the galaxy was claimed by the scattered refugees of Earth, and all other life was forced to withdraw.
In the decades and centuries that followed, the disparate colonies of humanity developed into dozens of stellar nations. Sporadic wars were fought to try and establish dominance, but in the end, the Taurus Consolidation emerged as the leading power. Under their banner, they unified the planets of mankind, and formed the Confederacy of Independent Worlds. From this union emerged the Confederate Navy, a force that would become to primary exploration, research, and defensive arm of the CIW. The borders of humanities domain was secured at the end of a rifle, and everyone assumed their star was ascendant and unchallenged.
When the Solari Imperium emerged from the Dead Zone, then, everyone was taken by surprise. Fleets of starships unknown to the wider galaxy struck against both alien and Confederate worlds alike. Wide swaths of space were claimed by the Imperium before the Confederate Navy could redeploy its forces. The war stood poised to develop into the largest galactic conflict since the Great Colonization and Swarm War, until the Devastation of Helios brought an end to the battle. The deployment of an unknown weapon saw the destruction of the entire planet, and the death of millions. Negotiations were opened by both sides, and when the Imperium and Confederate diplomats met face to face, the first time either side had seen the other in person, the Confederate were shocked to discover that the Solari were humans.
Since then, the galaxy has entered a state of cold war. The Confederacy, seeking to shore up its borders and defend the frontier has created the Galactic Coalition, an interplanetary and interspecies organization that seeks to enforce a galactic armistice. The Coalition Fleet, made up of Confederate and other member worlds military forces, is the first multi-species combat force in the galaxy and a beacon of progress and unity. The Solari Imperium, forged from the remnants of those few from Old Earth who could not flee the swarm, have started making inroads with those powers outside Coalition influence. Lines are being drawn, and all eyes watch to see when the next phase of conflict will begin.
Except, that is where our characters will come in. As part of an initiative to bridge the gap and ease tensions, an officer exchange has been proposed. A Solari officer will join a Coalition vessel crew, and through cooperation on scientific, patrol and discovery missions, hope to bring closer ties between the powers. The story here would focus on the Solari officer in question, and a liaison officer from the Coalition assigned to serve as an attaché, translator, and watch dog. Where the story goes from there is up in the air.
