Realistic or Modern The Event of a Lifetime.

That One Dinosaur That Didn't Get the Message
After I get, oh, I dunno, 10-15 people interested and having their person made, I will randomly select one of you to have killed him. Then, you will tell me where and how they did it. After that, I'll replace this with details of the crime scene, say, splatters of blood, state of the body, etc. I'll change this to a closed roleplay, and you all will have to figure out who did it. (I mean, I'll make a dim-witted detective character to describe other murder scenes, if, say, the murderer decides to kill anyone else[in which I'll alert them to stop posting as well])

First Floor:

The Ballroom:
This is the main area where most of the crowds were located on the night of the murder. On both the east and west sides are small walkways leading to the basement. It is impossible for the murder to have taken place here. On the north side, there is only the grand staircase that leads to the second floor.

The Grounds: The area around the mansion is heavily guarded, and were sealed off from the rest of the world after the body was discovered. It has a small shrubbery maze in its south east corner and a large flower garden dominating its west side. In its north east corner lies the gardeners' shed. Its north central side has a large fenced off swimming pool while its south central side is home to the only entrance to the property and the traffic circle. The east central section is the picnic area, and was basically empty on the night of the murder.

Basement:

The Kitchen: This area of the mansion is directly beneath the ballroom. It covers the south west to central area of the mansion's basement and was filled with staff on the night of the murder, not that the millionaire would have dared to step foot in there. It is fully stocked with a large freezer in its north west corner and a storage closet in its south west corner.

The Wine Cellar: The wine cellar covers the north west corner of the basement, and has lateral rows of wine throughout. It has very poor lighting and was often accessed by staff carrying torches on the night of the murder. Its entrance is directly beside the staircase leading up to the west side of the ballroom.

The Corridor: The corridor is the single hallway that connects the east and west staircases and the rooms in the basement. It was busy with staff the night of the murder, and it was impossible for the murder to take place here.

The Library: The library covers the south/central east area of the basement , having its entrance directly beside the east staircase to the ballroom. It was virtually empty the night of the murder, although it was a haven for people looking for quiet from the night's festivities. Its rows and columns of books do wonderfully to cancel sound.

The Parlor: The parlor is in the north east end of the basement, its entrance directly across from the library's. It features a pool table in its center, with the millionaire's collection of guns and hunting trophies in its south east corner, the guns being locked in a safe.

Second Floor:

The Corridors: The second floor sports two large corridors, beginning in the north end of the mansion with the ballroom's stairs, separating in a [ ] shape, with the galleries on the inner sides of the corridors and the guest bedrooms on the outer sides. These are very well lit and converge at their south ends, leading to the third floor. On the night of the murder, they weren't exactly full, or deserted.

The Galleries: There are twelve covered galleries on both corridors able to seat eight people a piece. Although they overlook the ball room and are often well lit, they can only be seen clearly into from across the galleries across the ballroom that aren't obstructed by the large crystal chandelier. There were very few publicly used on the night of the murder. They are separated from the corridors by curtains, each separated by walls.

The Guest Rooms: There are 10 guest rooms on either side of the corridor. Each is similar in that each has a small bathroom, a small closet, two dressers, a bed, and a door onto a small balcony overlooking the grounds. Each was filled on the night of the murder, although where their guests were is a mystery.

Third Floor and Attic:

The Master Bedroom and Balcony: This is the millionaire's personal bedroom. It covers the north central area of the third floor. It has two grand doors leading in from the common area at its south end. It has a large door to a private balcony that overlooks the north side of the property at its north end. The majority of the central area of the room is the millionaire's bed, with his dressers lining the walls of the room. He has a large safe in the north west corner that would have been impossible to get into without the code. In the opposite corner is his bathroom, filled with his medicines and such. It would have been impossible to get into without the millionaire's permission on the night of the murder, as his room is heavily guarded.

The Common Area: The common area dominates the third floor, everywhere but the master bedroom. It was well lighted and heavily guarded on the night of the murder. It has plenty of tables and such in the area, and has plenty of bathrooms on its perimeter.

The Attic: The only way into the attic is by a small pull door in front of the master bedroom's door. Its entrance was well watched on the night of the murder, although it was still accessible. It is mostly filled with old mirrors and decor from other parts of the house. It's infested with spiders and has boxes filled of items from the millionaires past.

1. Use logic!

2. The murderer cannot reveal themselves, or describe directly killing someone or planning to kill someone. (That's all done behind the scenes. Of course, after they kill someone, they can tell that person.)

3. The whole punishment system will work on mob justice. You all will begin to suspect someone, present your reasoning, and vote on it. Majority rules when it comes to convicting someone and their punishment. (If you catch the murderer, you don't win. People just stop dying and you assume you did well.)

4. No going insane and killing others. (Yourself is allowed, though.)

5. If you all decide you've solved the case, you can vote, and, if you're unanimous, you may leave. I'll tell you the truth after.

6. If you go through #4, tell me and just stop posting. It adds suspense for people to disappear.

7. Follow the site's rules, of course.

8. Please, only talk about things your character has learned. You might be able to read the other characters' thoughts, but your character can't. u_u
