The End to the War {MoxieDov X PrinceSleepless}

MoxieDov

Duchess of Procrastination

The Two Century War

~~~
Water VS Earth
Two elements that were supposed to live in harmony of one another clash in a deadly war that spanned over dozens of years, resulting in the death of millions.
Will the present Princes of the armies cease this bloodshed? Or continue to fight till their death?
Drip, drip drop, little rain is falling what a beautiful sound. Nothing could compare to the sound of rain hitting the hard surface of something. It was soothing, it brought a silence with a noise that could not be compared to. Didn't people write sonnets about such a sound? Surely someone in the world must have. Zale found the poetry in such a simple thing as rain, the sound of it, the feel of it, even the smell of it sparked something proud in his chest. It must have been because he was of the Water Element, everything from the roar of a mighty wave to the small unstoppable pitter patter of the rain made him swell with pride over it. Normally he wouldn't be taking such a thought into it but it was keeping him from fidgeting about. He was trapped inside a carriage at the moment and had been for the past few days while they made the journey far from his homeland. They were going to put and end to the war that had been raging on for far too long. A war that his fathers, father had started right when he was his age. Over a woman of all things. It was time to put an end to it.
So he and his father had traveled, day and night to reach the kingdom of the earth, hell nor high water would stop them til they had reached it. They were going to make the peace treaty final. Of course. Zale didn't agree to it, not one bit.In fact the boy had been resilient to come or to do such a task that had been asked of him. It wasn't fair. It was taking away one of the few freedoms he had, the freedom to love whom he had chosen to. But as a future king, he had to think of his people, they were slowly dwindling and dying with all this fighting continuing on, many of them had been left in poverty and he no longer let that happen. It was time for change. Even if that change meant he would have to marry someone just a short while ago he considered the enemy, then so be it. He would do it for his people, for them to live and rejoice as peace would finally come and settle over the land for them.
He continued to tell himself that, over and over again. That this was not for him, but for them and for a moment he started to believe it was true, forcing him to have a stiff upper lip and bare with it. He would do it, marry the prince to the Earth kingdom. Zale sighed over the thought, again and again. Thinking more about it didn't make the burden seem anymore bearable. But as time went on, it seemed to become all that more real. Possibly because he now could see the Earth kingdom, it was tall and proud and horribly colored. It made him miss the blues and grey hues of his own home. He had never liked green or brown anyways. Sitting up straight in his carriage, from this point on he would have to look and act as a proper prince must all the time. Goodbye sweet, sweet happiness.
Pot after pot were hurled at a mossy stone wall, the shards of clay and china crashing into a pile of broken material. "Your Highness! Please control your anger! The other Prince will soon be arriving and you haven't changed into your proper attire!" The redhead's personal guard exclaimed from behind the wall of vines that the enraged male had created. He had tried cutting the vines in order to reach the other, though the vegetation would simply erupt from the ground once more, replacing whatever had been severed off. He had even attempted to chuck boulders at the large structure, which only resulted in the vines curving back to take the force of the object before it would simply come falling to the ground. "Your Highness, you will catch a cold if you stay out in this dreadful weather any longer and your father and mother will certainly not be pleased!" The elder man called out, letting out a long sigh of relief as the sound of smashing pots ceased and the only sound that reached his ears were the gushes of wind and falling rain.
Soon, the barrier of vines retracted back into the ground, the dirt automatically mending the gap it left behind. The guard's head bowed low as he picked up on the sound of approaching footsteps, only for it to be lifted back up seconds later. Corey's usually soft eyes were filled to the brim with fury and if one would stare into them for a small while, they would be able to see the hint of dismay lurking within. "Sire, we should head back inside and get you dried off." The soldier instructed, hovering his right hand a small distance from the shorter male's back, as he, and everyone lower than the royal family, were given strict rules not to lay their hands on the Prince, if it wasn't an emergency. Even then, it was something that was looked down upon.
A huff emitted from the boy's mouth, beginning to walk towards the door that lead them back into the large palace. Despite his reaction to the other's suggestion, he did want to change out of the soaking clothes he currently wore, as his crimson hair stuck to ever part of flesh it touched. Even though he had most likely destroyed all of the castle's unneeded / faulty pots and vases, he would never disobey his father's word. The price for his unquestioning loyalty was having to deal with the intense emotions that would wash over him soon after. These feelings would often provoke the young male's temper, which would most likely lead to violent outbursts or tantrums.
A couple of minutes later, Corey was sitting in a large bath that had been drawn by one of his servants. The warm water soothed his muscles, though, as much as he enjoyed sitting in the liquid, he would still hate the fact that he was being forced to marry the Prince of the respective element. He had always been taught to think that Water reigned below Earth, as liquid was used to fuel plants and vegetation, like a chef to a king. Although, this thought was obliterated since he had to "love" one of their kind.
