Lore Changes:

The Main Story Points of all the games really stands, the only Change to the overarching story is obviously that Martin Septim’s Sacrifice was a temporary fix and not a permanent one. And the White Gold Concordat is a much more strict piece of legislation.

Also after the Nerevarine saved Morrowind from Dagoth Ur she Killed Almalexia and Sotha Sil not killing Vivec, thus not completing the prophecy… years later Vivec was put on a public trial to which most of the house heads of morrowind attended and on it’s final day, the fourth of sun’s dawn 4E 5, Vivec’s trial tempted azura to mundus in which he proclaimed his hate and ate her, after which he disappeared causing the Red Year and leading to all the recent catastrophes of Morrowind. Azura, Vivec and the Nerevarine have yet to be seen by anyone since.

Native Religions are in primary use but the Imperial Cult of Almalexia is growing in Skyrim and Hammerfell, causing many tensions.

General Politics of each Region:

Hammerfell is split between the Crowns and the Forebears as the Dominion holds it’s peninsular territories of Hew’s Bane and Recently capturing Tanneth. While the rest of Hammerfell remains united against the Dominion they are very tense as the Crowns Nationalistic and Tradiotional Zeal, and the Forebears Loyalty to the Empire and adoption of it’s cultures clashes.

High Rock is as High Rock always has been, fractured and divided with constant backstabbing and the like, rumors spread that orsinium has been rebuilt once more, with extreme tensions rising between the Orcs of the Northern Regions and the Bretons both anticipating another genocidal campaign, both preparing for all out war.

Skyrim, entrenched in a civil war that has lasted years now with no end in sight, is in chaos and ruin, even more so than the usual bickering of jarl raiding jarl, and adventurers parties raiding towns. While originally a War over succession and distaste over the amount the Empire has manipulated Skyrim’s inner politics it soon too became about Religion and the White Gold Concordat. Putting pressure on the Empire who refuses to march it’s legions north to deal with the issue at hand, as it all seems skyrim has found herself in a season unending High King Torygg and Ulfric are neither willing to yield or bend to the other’s demands for to do so would be dishonor.

Morrowind The devastation of the red Year and the disappearance of Vivec has caused many of the Dunmer to revert back to their Daedric worshiping and strengthen the resolve of those who never gave it up to begin with. After this and the Oblivion Crisis and The Empire abandoning them and with Azura answering no prayers the Dunmer were beset with disease, death, argonian conquest, and an almost absolute upheaval until House Redoran finally led the assault taking back much, but not all, of Morrowind’s previous holdings. Rebuilding began in the mainland, but many refugees still flee to the sister colony in Solstheim taking it over. Others go to Skyrim and Cyrodiil and are often met with much hostility. Vvardenfell is almost entirely uninhabitable with only small tribes of ashlanders surviving the desolate conditions.

Black Marsh has taken more land in Morrowind, in these areas they have successfully taken Dunmeri Slaves and cultivate the lands slowly turning it into more marshlands so that they can grow. Black Marsh is in Relative Stability unlike its neighbors and Continues to grow with only the normal amount of tension between the clans and subspecies of Argonian.

Cyrodiil, still rebuilding from the oblivion crisis and the Great war with the Aldmeri Dominion, while internal tensions remain stable with only minor scuffles between colovian estates and nibenese trading companies, the swarm of refugees from both skyrim to the North and Morrowind to the East has strained it’s resources for the civilian populus. With it’s Legions camped out in the Southern Jungles of Cyrodiil anticipating and waiting for another war with the Dominion, More and more nords and orcs leave the Legions every season due to political concerns in their homeland weakening the Empire’s grip. On top of all of this succession is unclear as many wish to push Titus Mede II’s son to the Throne, others believing that only a Dragonborn can take the Ruby Throne, and all the countless small claims to the throne. With these Problems facing him Mede Expunged the Dark Brotherhood from the Empire of Man. If nothing happens soon The Empire will fall on Mede’s Death.

Elsweyr, despite being in two halves it remains ultimately loyal to the Dominion and Stable, though they are unwilling as of now to fight for the Dominion in their wars. They patiently await a new Mane to Unite the two kingdoms and lead their people forward in this time of change.

Valenwood, is in the struggle it has perpetually been in with their Altmeri cousins with many being in a boat to adopt some of their customs and abandon the green and others disagreeing despite this Valenwood is stable and very much under Dominion Control.

Summerset was very much weakened during the Oblivion crisis but with the Rise of the Thalmor and the Third Dominion they have been the only Province, save for Black Marsh, to come out Stronger than they initially went in. Reconstruction of the Crystal tower is very much in progress and may soon be complete, and While the Dominion still wars in grows in power by the day playing an overarching game of politics, but ultimately this could come to bite them. Summerset, the Largest of the Isles remains closed off to almost all outsiders with traders only ever seeing the docks of their cities and towns.

Races/Subraces/Perspectives

MEN:

Bretons (Manmer) - are the human descendants of the Aldmeri-Nedic Manmer of the Merethic Era and are now the inhabitants of the province of High Rock. They are united in culture and language, even though they are divided politically, for High Rock is a fractious region. Bretons make up the peasantry, soldiery, and magical elite of the feudal kingdoms that compete for power. Many are capable mages with innate resistance to magicka. They are known for a proficiency in abstract thinking and unique customs. Bretons appear, by and large, much like other pale-skinned humans. They are usually slight of build and not as muscular as Nords or Redguards. The great diversity in their appearance is to be expected from their politically fractured society, though their clothes, accents, customs and names are fairly uniform. Nobles of the Bretonic courts often display and show off more Meri traits in order to distinguish themselves from the peasantry. They stand at an average height of about 5’9” with women tending to be shorter and men taller.

Perspective- While not really caring much beyond their own politics Bretons can ill afford another Daeric invasion nor will their economy weather a destroyed Empire. Remaining loyal they mostly wish for Stability and whatever it entails.

Imperials- the well-educated and well-spoken Imperials are the natives of the civilized, cosmopolitan province of Cyrodiil. Imperials are also known for the discipline and training of their citizen armies, and their respect for the rule of law. Though physically less imposing than the other races, the Imperials have proved to be shrewd diplomats and traders, and these traits, along with their remarkable skill and training as light infantry, have enabled them to subdue all the other nations and races and erect the monument to peace and prosperity that comprises the Glorious Empire.
Colovians- The more War-Oriented of the Imperial peoples, they borrow more from their Atmoran Cousins than the Nibenese or Heartlanders, They stand taller, Heardier, and Paler than the others. They at an Average of 5’11” with Men being taller and women shorter usually.
Perspective- They Respect Power and the Ability to Navigate Politics, No matter what the Colovian Estates desire a Strong and Willed ruler who isn’t afraid to get His hands dirty.

Nibenese- The Southern Folk of the Niben River and Marshes and Jungles that Surround it, They Stand Shorter than their other Imperial Counterparts, They are ruled by merchants guilds and trading companies. They Stand at Around 5’8” With Men Generally being taller and women being shorter, they have a more slender build similar to bretons.
Perspective- Respecting Cunning and Guile, the Nibenese wish for a new Emperor who is more economically inclined as it would mean the prospering of their lands and hopefully growth into new territories.

Heartlanders- The people who take up much of Central Cyrodiil they come out to be the mix of both the Colovians and the Nibenese with a slight inclinations to both physical and more mental combats, they however are the most Zealous of Imperials. While Accepting of other races it is harder for them to accept those of differing Religious beliefs, or Elven Rule. They are average build standing around 5’9” with Men being taller and women shorter.
Perspective- the Heartlanders believe that only a Dragonborn can truly hold the Ruby throne and rule the Empire of man. They seek someone who will uproot the Dominion’s White Gold Concordat and re-envelope them into the Empire. Loyalists and Zealots through and through, they have caused the Imperial City Unrested in the past century over everything from succession, to elven rule and are not afraid to voice their opinion.

Nords- a race of tall and fair-haired humans from Skyrim who are known for their incredible resistance to cold and magical frost. They are fierce, strong and enthusiastic warriors, and many become renowned warriors, soldiers and mercenaries all over Tamriel. Eager to augment their martial skills beyond the traditional methods of Skyrim, they excel in all manner of warfare, and are known as a militant people by their neighbors. Nords were known for a time for their nautical prowess when they migrated from Atmora. Nords stand at about 6’2” with men mostly being those taller and women shorter.

Perspective- While split and in civil war many Nords wish for a Dragonborn to come both to unite the fractured empire and to fulfill an ancient religious story of the Twilight of the World. They are as a whole completely resentful of the Dominion and wish it’s downfall no matter the means, they refuse to be ruled or even slightly controlled by Mer.

Reachmen- also known as the Witchmen of High Rock, are a tribal race of humans who inhabit the Reach in southwestern Skyrim and the neighboring Western Reach in the east of High Rock. They are believed to be closely related to the Bretons and some Reachmen believe that their people originally came from High Rock, but their ancestry spreads across many of the known races of Tamriel. At least some Reachmen are known to be descended from the Keptu clan of Nedes. Although they are thought to share descent, Bretons do not consider themselves kin to the Reachmen, and the Reachmen do not see themselves as Bretons. They stand at about 5’10” with Men and Women typically being around the same height.

Perspective- Constantly downtrodden by the Nords and not Protected by the Empire after being guaranteed the reach, they seek to have their king freed and Hope the Empire and Kingdom of Skyrim both fall and they can reclaim their former glory. They Don’t want a Dragonborn to ever retake the ruby throne so that their gods may have more power and reflexively so they can as well.

Redguards- the most naturally talented warriors in Tamriel. The dark-skinned, wiry-haired people of Hammerfell seem born to battle, though their pride and fierce independence of spirit makes them more suitable as scouts or skirmishers, or as free-ranging heroes and adventurers, than as rank-and-file soldiers. In addition to their cultural affinities for many armor styles and weapons (particularly swords), Redguards are also physically blessed with hardy constitutions, resistance to poison, and quickness of foot. Unlike most other human races, they are not believed to have any connection with the ancestral Nordic homeland of Atmora. Men oft stand taller than 5’11” with women being shorter.

Perspective- The Redguards do not care what bloodline the Next Emperor is only that they Lead an offensive against the Dominion, let Hammerfell have a general autonomy, and relight the Dragon Fires somehow. All they care about is taking their homeland back and restoring it.

MER:

Altmer- self-titled "Cultured People", are a tall, golden-skinned race, hailing from Summerset Isle. They are also known as High Elves by the denizens of Tamriel. In the Empire, "High" is often understood to mean proud or snobbish, and as the Altmer generally personify these characteristics, the "lesser races" generally resent them. Altmer live two to three times as long as humans; with a 200-year-old Altmer being old and a 300-year-old Altmer being very, very old. Altmer consider themselves to be the most civilized culture of Tamriel; the common tongue of the continent is based on Altmer speech and writing, and most of the Empire's arts, crafts, laws, and sciences are derived from Altmer traditions.

The Altmer are the most strongly gifted in the arcane arts of all the races, and they are very resistant to diseases. However, they are also somewhat vulnerable to magicka, fire, frost, and shock, which makes them very weak against their strongest point - magic. They are among the longest living and most intelligent races of Tamriel, and they often become powerful magic users due to both their magical affinity and the many years they may devote to their studies. The Tallest Race with Men and Women standing about equal with the average ehigh being 6’5”

Perspective- The Altmer as a whole despise the realms of men and look down on them, finding them like children and all too often the perpetrators of mass calamity. While they want at all costs the Dragonfires to remain lit, they equally wish for men to never again hold an Empire of any real power.

Bosmer- the Elven clan-folk of Valenwood, a forested province in southwestern Tamriel. In the Empire, they are often referred to as Wood Elves, but Bosmer, Boiche, or the Tree-Sap people is what they call themselves. Bosmer rejected the stiff, formal traditions of Aldmeri high culture, preferring a more romantic, simple existence in harmony with the land and its wild beauty and creatures. They are relatively nimble and quick in body compared to their more "civilized" Altmeri cousins (who often look down upon the Bosmer as unruly and naive). Their agility makes them well-suited as scouts and thieves. However, they are also a quick-witted folk, and many pursue successful careers in scholarly pursuits or trading. Bosmer live longer than humans; with a 150-year-old Bosmer being old and a 200-year-old Bosmer being very, very old. Though they are considered less influential than some of their Elven brethren, the Bosmer are also relatively prone to producing offspring. As a result, they outnumber all other Mer on Tamriel.

The best archers in all of Tamriel, the Bosmer snatch and fire arrows in one continuous motion; they are even rumored to have invented the bow. They have many natural and unique abilities; notably, they can command simple-minded creatures and have a nearly chameleon-like ability to hide in forested areas. Many in the forests of Valenwood follow the tenets of the Green Pact. These "Green Pact Bosmer" are religiously carnivorous and cannibalistic, and do not harm the vegetation of Valenwood, though they are not averse to using wooden or plant-derived products created by others. Bosmer the oddities that they are also sometimes known for having small antlers and being smaller than most with most of their women standing above 5’3” and the men being usually under that height.

Perspective- The Bosmer want stability and detest the daedra, all they want is a clear ruler of Tamriel and Lit dragonfires. They will protect their homeland with zeal from any wishing to harm it but beyond its borders they could really care less about anything else.

Dunmer- known as Dark Elves, are the ash-skinned, typically red-eyed elven peoples of Morrowind. "Dark" is commonly understood as meaning such characteristics as "dark-skinned", "gloomy", "ill-favored by fate" and so on. The Dunmer and their national identity, however, embrace these various connotations with enthusiasm. In the Empire, "Dark Elf" is the common usage, but among their Aldmeri brethren they are called "Dunmer". Their combination of powerful intellects with strong and agile physiques produce superior warriors and sorcerers. On the battlefield, Dunmer are noted for their skill with a balanced integration of the sword, the bow and destruction magic. Dunmer live considerably longer than humans; with a 175-year-old Dunmer being old and a 250-year-old Dunmer being very, very old. In character, they are grim, aloof, and reserved, as well as distrusting and disdainful of other races. At 5’9” on average with men and women benign of similar height Dunmer are a bit taller than most humans.

Dunmer distrust and are treated distrustfully by other races. They are often proud, clannish, ruthless, and cruel, from an outsider's point of view, but greatly value loyalty and family. Young female Dunmer have a reputation for promiscuity in some circles. Despite their powerful skills and strengths, the Dunmer's vengeful nature, age-old conflicts, betrayals, and ill-reputation prevent them from gaining more influence. Those born in their homeland of Morrowind before its devastation were known to be considerably less friendly than those who grew up in the Imperial tradition.

Perspective- They don’t care at all for the politics of the rest of Tamriel all they wish for is their Homeland back and restored. Suffering the harsh nature of the men as refugees makes them yearn even more for their homeland. They also seek for an Empire that will leave Morrowind independent of its own affairs.

Orcs- also called Orsimer or "Pariah Folk" in ancient times, are sophisticated, brutish elves of the Wrothgarian Mountains, Dragontail Mountains, Valenwood, and Orsinium (literally translated as "Orc-Town"). They are noted for their unshakable courage in war and their unflinching endurance of hardships. Orcs have elven blood, but are usually considered to be both Beastfolk and Goblin-ken. In the past, Orcs were widely feared and hated by the other nations and races of Tamriel. However, they have slowly won acceptance in the Empire, in particular for their distinguished service in the Emperor's Legions. Orc armorers are prized for their craftsmanship, and Orc warriors in heavy armor are among the finest front-line troops in the Empire, and are fearsome when using their berserker rage. Orcs have a lifespan similar to that of humans. Most Imperial citizens regard Orc society as rough and cruel. The Orcs of the Iliac Bay region have developed their own language, known as Orcish, and have often had their own kingdom, Orsinium. Orcs are very threatening averaging around 6’2” with males and females being of similar height.

Perspective- While Orcs are far from Imperial loyalists, they wish for it to stay stable fearing what may happen to their people and the new orsinium if the Empire were to fall into chaos. They do what they have to in an honor bound way to protect their people and traditions.

BEASTFOLK:

Argonians- Saxhleel, or People of the Root in their native language of Jel, are the reptilian natives of Black Marsh, a vast swampland province in southeastern Tamriel. The other races often refer to them as "lizards" or the "Lizard Folk" instead, especially when meaning to be derogatory. They are known as the foremost experts in guerrilla warfare throughout Tamriel, a reputation brought upon them by defending their borders from enemies for countless centuries. Argonians have a lifespan similar to that of humans. According to the First Era Scholar Brendan the Persistent, "The Argonian people have, throughout Tamrielic history, been perhaps the most misunderstood, vilified, and reviled of all the sentient races. Yet, those who have taken the time to experience Argonian culture have gained a greater appreciation for this noble and beautiful people." However, it should be noted that he himself went missing in his final expedition into the deeper swamps of their homeland. Men and women are about the same height standing at generally 5’10”.
Naga- a breed of Argonian that live in the inner parts of Black Marsh. Nagas have some distinct differences in their appearance compared to the Argonian most commonly seen throughout Tamriel. They are described as having "huge mouths filled with dripping needle-like fangs". Nagas range from anywhere between seven to eight feet tall, though the Naga-Kur tribe found within Murkmire appears to be about the same height as the common variety of Argonian. Naga are sometimes called 'puff adders', suggesting snake-like features.

Perspective- The Argonians do not care if the dragon fires are lit or unlit or who stands on a tamrielic throne, they only wish to take back their native lands and be left alone… with a little revenge on the dunmer to boot

Khajiit- cat-like people who come from Elsweyr, known for high intelligence and agility. These traits make them very good thieves and acrobats, but Khajiit are also fearsome warriors. However, they are rarely known to be mages. Khajiit mostly stay on land, but piracy and Skooma trade does draw some to work as sailors.

Khajiit anatomy differs greatly from both men and elves, not only because of their fur, tail, and sometimes toe-walking stance, but also their digestive system and metabolism. Khajiit, Argonians, and Imga are the so-called "beast races" of Tamriel because of these large differences. Khajiit have a lifespan similar to that of humans. There are no well-documented cases of cross-breeding between Khajiit and other races, though there are rumors of such a thing. The foreign appearance and behavior of Khajiit make them common targets of racial discrimination. Khajiit are very very different from cat to cat, their morphology makes it so they are wildly unpredictable in size and shape with many different forms.

Perspective- Khajiit care little for the outside world but do however very much fear what it might mean if the dragonfires go unlit, and are supportive of any who would keep them lit. They believe the Thalmor are the only capable of this if there is no dragonborn.

I mean heartstones are used in enchanting staffs and creating ashspawn, so perhaps it makes the effect more killy? Perhaps further ties the ebony (Crystallized blood of Lorkhan) to Red mountain. Just need to think of the effects.
