Any race within the reason and balance of a fantasy rp is possible, as long as humanoid. It´s up to you, which races live in your kingdom. From undead to elves, from dwarves to minotaurs. If something seems off limits, ill let you know.

Follow up question, are races exclusive to one kingdom? I.e if somebody makes their kingdom consist of dwarfs, does that mean that no one else can do so?
Also, are kingdoms limited to consisting of one race?

No to both questions. There may very well be multiple kingdoms that have a special race in common and multiple races per kingdom

As far as creating a character who is a ruler, how much lore should we throw in? Say, going as far as creating a family tree and that stuff, or should that be left open for other players?

It depends. If you say you dont WANT other players to have a character be part of your royal family, then go ahead and go wild. Again, you create this world WITH me. I´m only here to keep everything suiting the setting and keeping a balance. ^^

I see, then they won´t be interesting for my idea. XD I was thinking of having some funny things happened in the history of my characters kingdom and a kingdom with inhabitants similarly old (Well, a bit younger works.)

I could always make goblin more longed live and make them the ruling class while the orcs are mostly soldiers and such? Maybe that could work.
