sweater weather
Today was a mildly cold autumn day, a normal school day where kids head to school and parents go to work. School gets out at 3:15 PM, and that time is growing nearer and nearer with every tick of the clock. Students are in the last period of the day, teachers are starting to wrap up their lessons and giving out horrid homework, and students are starting to finish their notes and pack up their bags.
Otto was in Ms.Woods' Precalculus class, a horrid class really because math sucks and is really confusing but the teacher was nice! She would give out sweet treats to the students who were good, and Otto always looked forward to it. He would always get the soft treats that he was able to chew and swallow without difficulty. Ms.Woods was also pretty understanding of Otto and his inability to speak.
Ms.Woods was wrapping up a boring lesson, and Otto could not wait to get home. He couldn't wait to see Ripley. She would most likely be waiting at the door for him. So anyways, Otto had his bookbag in his lap, zipper undone and he was putting his things away as he was awaiting the afternoon announcements and then the dismissal bell.
However, the normalcy of today, and the routine, would shatter.
A loud, frantic banging came upon the door. Ms.Woods stopped speaking and turned her attention to the door. The teacher walked over and opened the door. The class was met with a gruesome and bizarre sight. "M-Miss…" It was a girl no older than fifteen at least, and she looked like she had been mauled by something on her neck and shoulder, you could even see exposed muscles, and blood was pouring out. A large chunk of flesh was missing from her. "H-Help me…" She staggered in.
Ms.Woods was taken aback by the sight. "What happened!?" She demanded the injured student. But, the girl dropped to the floor… dead in a growing pool of her own blood. Then, a guttural growl was heard from outside the door. A boy who was around fourteen, stumbled into the doorway, breathing wheezed and slow, eyes milked over, and mouth foaming. He cocked his head to look at Ms.Woods. He screeched, lunging himself at the poor teacher, biting into her ear and tearing it off. As Otto’s teacher went down, his ears were filled with the sounds of Ms.Woods, his favorite teacher, screaming in pain. The students got up from their seats just as the creature feasted on her cheek.
Otto eyed the doorway… he couldn’t stay in here with that thing. He inched himself to the door
The hallways were like a bloodbath. More of those things were going after any student within their range. Blood stained the lockers, the windows, the doors, and the floor. The smell was putrid to his nostrils as his widened eyes took in the sight before him.
For Otto, it seemed hopeless when...
“The science lab! Get to the science lab!”
The science lab? Otto thought to himself. Why the science lab? Otto wasn’t going to question it. It was the only place he could go. If… he made it. Otto’s leg muscles worked and pumped as he started to run his way to the science lab. Right, he probably should not be running while wearing a chest binder but this is life and death!
Wait! His bookbag! No, he can’t go back for it now. Maybe when they get out of this school he could go back for it. His phone was in his jeans pocket, safely tucked in and he could try texting his mom. What’s it like in the outside world? Normal? The same as in here? Otto shook his head as he needed to focus on getting to safety.
Everywhere around him was carnage. The… undead were eating people. Fiction has come to life. Yeah, Otto thought that zombies were just fiction. He was gasping for deep breaths as he ran, not a good idea when his chest is being compressed. His legs were screaming at him to stop, to rest. But he couldn’t because stopping meant death. Otto did not want to die.
His foot hit something in front of him. A half-eaten corpse of a poor girl. He stumbled over it and unfortunately for him, there was a pool of blood next to the girl.
Otto’s foot slipped against the wet flooring, and he went down with a tumble into a growing pool of fresh blood. His mouth opened, uttering out a small noise similar to that of a small grunt as blood splashed onto his clothes and onto… his face. OH GOD IT’S ON HIS FACE. Blood stained his glasses, flowed down his cheeks, he had a cut on his temple from going down, blood encroached the right side of his face, and the smell… Oh the smell, it was coppery and foul. He heard a growl coming from right beside him, his eyebrows furrowing but he didn't get a chance to react.
Fingers grabbed ahold of his leg, making Otto whip his head around. Oh god. A zombie has a hold of his leg and he can’t get free. His entrapped leg wriggled around, desperately trying to avoid the zombie’s jaws, jerking it away when rotten teeth got too close. The creature was latched onto him like a leech, refusing to let go no matter how much Otto shook his leg up and down and from side to side. It was no use. The floor was slippery with blood, staining Otto’s hands and sleeves as he tried to pull himself forward, only to fall back down with a thud. It was like a fish out of water. Struggling.
A sharp inhale from Otto, who was now feeling woozy from the cut to his temple and he was starting to cry. Tears making their way down his cheeks as he could hear the zombie. Apparently zombies like… oh what’s the word? Hard to get prey. Yeah, that’s it. Otto was resisting the urge to lay there and die, he was struggling, trying to pull himself away against the wet floor, blood splashing up and onto Otto from the swift movements.
All the while, his ears rang with the screams of agony, the slurping sounds, the crunching sounds, and more. It hurt his ears, he tried to tune the noises out, but it's really hard to do that when you have a zombie latched onto you.
Otto's head dropped as his leg kicking became more lazy. Was everyone just going to let him die like this? Blood and Tears rolled down his cheeks and onto the floor as he anticipated the painful feeling of teeth digging into his leg.
Haha, this was it for Otto. He’s going to die here on the hallway floor. Sure he was still kicking his entrapped leg but he wondered just how much longer he could keep this up for.

BLACKPINK
how you like that
For Millie, the last period of the day is the absolute worst. Firstly, the teacher, Mr.Pots, was a strict, no-nonsense kind of teacher. You know, the ‘the bell doesn’t dismiss you, I dismiss you’ kind of teacher really. Seriously, Millie wanted to get out of this class so badly, the class is English Literature by the way, fun subject, horrible teacher.
And of course it had to be a cold day when Millie had decided to wear a pink strawberry dress. She's matching with Cindy! Oh well, at least she rode the bus to and from school and it was always warm there during autumn and winter months. Nothing could stop her and Cindy from matching cute dresses.
Mr.Pots had the class wrap up with a front and back worksheet about Othello whilst he sat at his desk, typing away at his computer. Silence filled the classroom as students began to work their way through the worksheet, almost in a hurry really as if they were ready to go home. Minutes ticked by and Millie was growing uneasy with the silence. Mr.Pots never let them listen to music or anything which sucked. He would call it a distraction.
A bloody hand slammed itself against the door window before slowly dragging itself down and then disappearing out of sight. The sudden noise and sight had caught Millie off guard from doing the rest of her worksheet. "Who's there!?" He swung the door open, eyes going down and was met with a boy who had blood dripping out of his mouth and his side had been torn into viciously. He was bleeding out there on the floor. Beside him? A vicious thing that was eating him. It looked up at Mr.Pots with a full mouth and it snarled at him before swallowing. It staggered to its feet, lips curled back before it leaped at the teacher, attacking his face and pulling at flesh.
Millie's lips curled into a smile at this. Good riddance to him. Mr.Pots' cries of agony were echoing through the classroom as the zombie ate him hungrily. Wait… what is she doing? Why is she smiling? This isn't right. Then again she didn't like him.
Some students were crying, others were frozen in shock. The door was wide open, and yet nobody was even making a run for it. The screeching got the attention of some more zombies that had been quite close to the classroom and they were making their way into the classroom in hopes of getting a juicy, tender, and meaty meal.
As a few zombies flooded into the classroom and went for the first students they smelled, Millie shot up from her spot in the back row to take this open opportunity to escape, moving around the desks and beelining for the door when a zombie whizzed past her and nearly collided with her. Oh, that was a close one! With a heavy huff, Millie left her classmates and teacher to be eaten whilst she ignored their cries and screams for help that echoed from the classroom.
Millie stepped a foot outside, being met with how gruesome the hallway was. The hallway was chaos, blood everywhere and people screaming and crying for help as monsters were digging their teeth into tender flesh with no problem. What… What is this? What happened?
"The science lab! Get to the science lab!"
Millie didn’t know who had yelled it amongst the chaos, but it was the only thing she could listen to right now. I mean, surely if they’re specifying the science lab of all places then it’s going to be safe right? The zombies haven’t breached it right? Millie just needed to see it for herself. And see the thing is, Millie isn’t exactly that close to the science lab… let’s say she has a lot of running to do.
Her backpack had been left in the classroom, would she be able to get it back? One hand grabbed a fistful of her dress, hiking it up just enough to where she could run more easily, and she didn’t really have to worry about dragging her dress across blood and insides. Another zombie whizzed past her, nearly knocking her off her feet. Well, damn.
As she made her way through the bloodbath and carnage that was spreading, her shoes stepped in puddles of blood, leaving footprints in the wake. Anyone could just follow said footprints if they wanted to. Plus, there were insides strewn about. Something made Millie stop though… slurping sounds and guttural growls. A turn of the head and there was a zombie squatting down in front of a few lockers, stuffing their mouth.
Something about the zombie was really familiar to Millie.
Shit.
The zombie was a girl that Millie had met one day at lunch. Lucille was her name, Millie remembered. No, this isn’t Lucille anymore. The Lucille creature stood up from where it had been standing, and its lips curled into a smile as it stared at Millie… well, in her direction. It smelled her. She took a step back. It followed. A zombie… was actually smiling at her. But how? Her stopping was a very dangerous decision really, she could get mauled at any second now.
She shifted, body subtly shaking as she needed to forget about Lucille, she needed to leave and scramble to safety. Millie scraped her teeth against her tongue before bolting forward, hearing a screech behind her and the splashing of blood. Yeah, she’s being chased. Chased by the Lucille creature.

unknown brain
control
For Lyric, they had Psychology as their last period of the school day. And, it could be considered their favorite class, mostly because of the teacher, Mrs.Bright. She was nice and patient with the students, and she didn’t make the lessons absolutely boring.
Mrs.Bright was wrapping up a lesson on parts of the brain and of course she gave out homework, mostly just vocabulary writing and some questions from their textbook. Still sucked though. Lyric wanted to go home and take a nap, a good, long nap in their warm bed and rush through the homework tomorrow morning before getting to school.
A knock on the door started Lyric and everyone, causing the teacher to pause what she was doing to answer it. She trotted over to the door and opened it, stepping to the side, thinking it was just a student or a teacher looking for something. It wasn’t. Something feral, something inhuman walked inside the classroom. Cool costume bro! Yes, Lyric is thinking it’s a costume for some reason. It’s not a costume. The zombie looked around with its milky, cloudy white eyes, nose flaring and twitching, Lyric wondered what this person was doing.
The zombie suddenly made a loud screech before rushing over to the first student they smelled and mauled the student, a rather tall boy. There was no hesitation in biting the boy’s neck, rotten teeth digging into soft flesh and pulling back.
Because Lyric was sitting close to the mauling, arterial spray landed on their face as blood spurted out of the boy’s carotid artery. Warm and wet crimson liquid rolled down Lyric’s cheeks and down the side of their nose as they stared in disbelief and shock. Their lips moved but no sound came out as all they could do was just stare as their classmate got his neck ripped out by this… thing. The zombie had muscles and tendons between its teeth as it pulled and snapped, eating them up.
Students were screaming, a couple of guys were trying to pull the zombie off of the poor, screaming boy, Mrs.Bright was stunned and she didn’t know what to do, and the door was left wide open for more things to flood inside the room. Lyric reached to pick up their bookbag, which was on the floor next to them, and they wondered if they could escape since the zombie was busy stuffing itself full. Fuck this shit, Lyric is out. Mrs.Bright went to close the door, mostly to prevent any more zombies from entering the classroom, but Lyric had a small suspicion that she was trying to prevent anyone from leaving.
The psychology teacher was too late to the door, however, a zombie planted its hands on the door and kept it pushed open, snarling and they had blood dripping out of its mouth. This zombie had recently been feeding. It went straight for the teacher, leaping at her and teeth digging into soft flesh. Skin and muscles were pulled away as Mrs.Bright’s screams filled the room. She’s going to attract more of those things for a feast. Lyric slung one of their backpack straps over their shoulder and were briskly making their way to the door when someone grabbed their wrist.
“Where are you going!?”
A student was preventing them from leaving.
“I’m not staying in here with those things!” Lyric was quick to snap at them, wiggling their wrist around. “You’ll die out there!” The student was persistent, “you will all die if you stay in here!” Lyric pointed out, because soon more zombies will come in here and will go for any students they can. Lyric did not want to be one of them. “No! You’re staying in here with us!” The student pulled on their wrist to try and pull Lyric away from the door.
“What the fuck are you doing!? I’m not staying in here!” Lyric protested, with no intention of dying here in the classroom. This was an attempt at getting free, but they used their other hand to dig their nails into the back of the student’s hand, leaving crescent shaped marks. And they dragged their nails across. It didn’t take long for the student to let go of Lyric’s wrist. The opportunity to escape was taken.
Lyric stumbled out of the classroom, and the door slammed shut. They’re crazy for staying in there with those things! Oh well, it’s not about them now. Lyric had to get away.
“The science lab! Get to the science lab!”
Well, there’s something or rather somewhere to go.
Lyric shifted their backpack and they began to work their leg muscles down the bloody hall, seeing just how gross it was with blood pooled everywhere, and students running for their lives only to get tackled down.
