The Divide

We have to pick one of the demons to train our characters... pending on if we pick the right person is whether or not our character get super strong or not...

and by ours I mean the Guardians. so Me, you (I think?) and @Der Kojote

super strong? PFFT over statement, just marginally good enough to not instadie. and well there's only demons left because all the non demon characters aren't here from the last rp xD

and Oliver's character if he ever GETS HIS SHIT TOGETHER lmao.

Wait so if they pick the right person they get just strong enough to survive and if they pick wrong then what? They don't? =/ Chase should just train with Poncho >>

No. They pick the right one, and they can actually put some resistant. Pick the wrong one and they're mostly running.

She can train with Poncho. And it will do nothing for her power ranking. (^-^)-b

resistance ****

Eh it's just confusing to me.

Especially since they all have different energy types. Demons are all trained and use Demonic energy. Humans use spirit energy. Johnna and Miro are the only ones who can use both due to their races. So... if were going by ranks of energy usage only Johnna should be able to have much of an effect on the human characters.

If going by JUST rank Then yes the demons are A rank and what not but Poncho is B, he should have some effect if he trains anyone. And if he does join Lucifer then he will be rank A like the demon.

If it is not determined by rank and rather by skill level/ training and experience Poncho out ranks most of the demons.

If we're just going to time skip through all of the training I don't see how any kind of bonds/relationship/ connections will matter much given how each of the races view each other.

not gonna lie aku, kinda seems like you rly dont know what you even wanna do

and you keep flipflopping with poncho's strength...

#justakuthings

I do know what I want to do. I am saying it, and you lot either don't quite understand the energies or are over thinking it.

1. There is not a huge difference between demonic energy and spiritual energy. In the first roleplay, Saphire ( a human for all intents and purposes)and spirit energy user was trained by a demon and a fallen angel(who had been fallen for some centuries).

The differences between spirit energy and demonic energy are minute. Demonic energy is naturally more destructive (which translates to stronger power wise) but it can't heal nor "protect" like spirit energy does. Other than that you could be trained by a rock if it knows how to apply demonic or spiritual energy.. As you get into the higher energies, i.e. Sacred Energy and Devil energy then there are a shit ton of differences that require more specialization.

An angel DOESN'T FIGHT in human affairs. So for all practical purposes, an Angel or a fresh fallen wouldn't be the best to train someone in applications of spiritual energy. Angels don't even naturally come with Spiritual Energy, just when they're cast from heaven their Divine Energy reserves turn into the weaker spiritual energy. Poncho benefits from being a B spiritual energy user, but he can't use them the way he could his divine energy because it's a whole new learning experience especially since he's only been earth bound for a year.

We're skipping much of the training, because we did that training every day thing the first rp. Even with constant replies a SINGLE training session. Not day, a training session, took up multiple real lives days and the story never progressed. So we established hitting on the high points of the training was enough to develop both characters and skills.

I've said multiple times Poncho is a B. He can become A with the help of Lucifer, but as of now he's a B. Poncho's experience is useful to an extent, but Poncho would have never fought a demon. Why? Angels don't get involved in human affairs outside of a watchful eye. Ergo, demons who've actually fought demons and spiritual users on a daily basis would be more fitting for training people how to fight demons and spiritual users.

Poncho will be great, ESP once Lucifer trains him personally (for his own personal reasons), but practically he wouldn't be much of help in training for three weeks.

The idea behind a certain mentor bringing out more potential from a student is based off the fact that certain people need certain types of coaches/trainers. Our head coach of our football team was a former Marine and he was strict and a hard ass. That taught us discipline, but didn't do much for improvement of skills. Our DB coach, however, was a more kind and engaging teacher and brought out potential in the terms of skills. So let's pretend Johanna was weak for a second, and had to pick out of the mentors. The correct Mentor for her would be Ophi. Why? Because Ophi would keep her from being enraged all of the time as she use to be in the previous roleplay. He'd focus in on keeping her smiling and laughing, while exploiting her fears and weaknesses to make sure she concentrates on covering her flaws by executing greatly on her strengths, but by not ignoring those flaws. Because that's the type of lunatic Ophi is.

Also, Lucifer and Ophi have years upon years of more practical experience than anyone in the roleplay. Ophi was once a High Demon, before he betrayed Lucifer and Okurigami, and Okurigami hunted him down. Lucifer...well..lmao it's Lucifer.

#thing that should have been explained in the first place XP Thanks for explaining all that. Still no fucking clue as to who trains who but meh...

I read all that. The connections between the different energy types was missing which is why I was confused. :3 Natural mind set went to each type of energy (minus those of progression) were not the same or connected. Thus used and manifested in different way. Ponchos confusion is cause poncho xD Hes an enigma and i dono if he differs from normal roles because of his fascination with humns *shrug*

I've taken an interest in this, so I'll be reading everything and eventually create a (hopefully) fine CS.

The reason i'm so uptight about the power rankings is because initially, this reboot was gonna have mostly new characters. Least i thought it was since a bit of the older characters are MIA. So i had planned for Johanna to basically be an NPC , for Ophi and Lucifer and Okurigami to have their own adventures, while Miroslav and the Guardians do their thing. But because a lot of the old characters are here, and they went through all of those pages and leveling up (and this is a continuation), I had to make sure that everyone understands the gap in strength. So basically the Guardians will be power leveling so to speak. They'll be coming on missions way harder than they should be able to handle and hopefully they will survive and become a lot stronger from it. :3 It took 2 Arcs for Johanna to even find out she was a demon xD

Eh. I suppose it was a little vague but dah well. Demonic and Spirit energy are basically just the energies used to create beings, demon or human (or other spiritual beings like wolf spirits). Sacred Energy is basically the non-angel version of Divine Energy, and Devil Energy is basically the non-high demon version of Satanic Energy. In this roleplay, for all intents and purposes, Lucifer IS Satan. He is the first being to use Satanic Energy (that we know of). You'll find out in a later arc, that this may not necessarily be true.

And as far as Poncho goes? He's a bit of enigma because he is a fresh fallen. So naturally, he's stronger than a group of teenagers who just figured out they had powers xD but he isn't nearly as strong as he can be in a hurry. Out of all the new characters, Poncho will gain power the quickest.

@U235 Gopher it mate.

Understandable, I had no issues on ranking it's to be expected that those with higher experience be stronger than those who are still relitivly new

Before anything, I'll be honest here, I'm a bit unsure about the allignments. I can see that there are some characters who look like villains. Some who take up the opposite side of the spectrum and some who tend to journey into the middle area, but from my understanding (I could be entirely false, since I'm a bit unsure myself) there seem to be a gap on the villain side of the spectrum.

So, being the highly radioactive element that I am, I would, honorably, like to ask if I could take up such a role.

(This post was made after I finally read all information which I could find.)

Well I'm glad you asked monsieur .

The thing is, there is currently NO villains. Well, outside of the Lich King (who you'll find in the NPC tabs) . This roleplay was designed to not have any "bad guys" per se, so people could pick a side and not feel bad or anything about it. It's all perspective. Personally, I've been rooting for Lucifer the whole time. (I'm Catholic mind you). In this roleplay he has been less sinister than any of the demons.

So you wouldn't necessarily be a villain, unless your character is purely destructive. i.e. The Lich King, who just kills and destroys and blah blah with no real goal in mind.

I think I'l be looking for Ophi for a mentor..... maybe.... he seems level headed and whatnot, whereas Carter just likes to throw his weight around and use force. Not sure if that's the right choice so I'll continue thinking but that's where I'm at right now.

Well, if we go into the deeper end of philosophy (which you actually do sound quite knowledgeable in, considering the structure of the characters, everyone elses as well, actually.) then, unless you have no real will of your own, or intelligence to speak of, you'd have your own agenda, and since evil is measured by others, and not yourself, the person wouldn't really be able to measure their social standing in terms of that allignment.

But, as I'm speaking of 3rd party standards, also from a semi-allknowing perspective, (semi since there may be things unmentioned in the initial texts) and also going severely off-topic, I'd be quite happy with filling in the villainous role if I could. I'm certainly a far more capable villain than hero, of that I'm sure.

As for the character, well, he wouldn't really be a villain if he ran about giving poor people money and saving kids and cats, now would he?

Before anything else, since I'm aiming to be some sort of villainous character, and I feel kinda bad asking this actually, could I have access to some of the higher tier ranks? Ugh, I sound super power hungry, but I assure you, I am not.

@U235 i forgot to respond, but sure you can have the traditional role of "villain." And, make your CS and I will let you know your ranking.

@Oliver Wade they are going to reform anyways, because the only way to kill them proper would be to render Orion unconscious or evaporate EVERY last drop of their bodies. So if you'd like take them over for your post (they are but very minor NPC's -don't touch Orion-) then gopher it.

@Tree you did exactly what I expected/hoped you do so good post mate :3 Keep it up.
