The Devil's Throne - Character Sheets
1540836852716.png

An alternative reality to ours... In the 18th century, the King and Queen reside in a palace situated in East Anglia, England. Strict and old-fashioned, it's difficult to believe the way the world moves around them. However, with the power to change anything in the country the moment they wish, they are the most powerful people in England. Employing many, including guards, servants and advisers, the family holds a great level of secrecy within the walls. Anyone found to break the vow of secrecy or many other rules, could find themselves put to death without trial.

The King and Queen have three sons and three daughters. The eldest Prince, and heir to the throne, is a handsome young man, though cold and heartless by nature. Many, including his own siblings, fear what will happen when the cruel prince eventually becomes king.

Recently, things in the castle have been gradually becoming more unsettled than usual, following the execution of a young servant a week earlier. Tortured before been hung, she was accused of being evil and trying to corrupt the youngest princess, simply because she was of a poorer class.

Rules

1. If you've reserved a role, I'll leave it reserved for four days, but if a CS hasn't been posted by then I'll reopen the position to give someone else a chance.
2. Romance is a wonderful thing and I encourage it, but fade to black if things become sexual.
3. No bumping off others’ characters without discussing it with the GMs and player involved.
4. Please only join if you can commit to posting at least 3 times per week and don’t plan on leaving any time soon!
5. Profanity is acceptable, within reason. No need to make it excessive.
6. Please try to write 2+ paragraphs per post. One-liners will make me sad.

Olivia Leigh Ravenswood

20

female

princess #2

Skills:
-can speak Russian, German, and Spanish fairly fluently
-blending in or standing out, whichever she prefers to do
-active listening
-archery
-adept with a dagger
Personality:
+brave
+loyal
+passionate
-proud
-impulsive
-impatient
Fears:
-commitment
-dying
-not being in control
Likes:
flirting, parties, music, being the middle sister, her siblings (most of the time)
Dislikes:
not being in control of a situation, most inside lessons, rodents, fish, being called out
History:
Olivia didn't always enjoy being the middle sister. Ever since she was a child, she's always had an 'out-there' personality, where she wants all the attention on her. Well, at first, her older siblings got most of the attention simply because one was in line to be king (Christopher) and the others were either being prepped as back ups, or prepped for other important jobs they were most likely going to end up doing. Little Liv was left on the back burner, but never forgotten.

Well, as her younger siblings came around, they began to get all of the attention simply because they were the babies. Olivia started to act out, wanting more of her parents attention. But as it would turn out, the more she would cry and scream and kick, the more she was left with the servants until she calmed down. In fact, it was Sylvia, one of the servants who taught her how to blend into a crowd.

As she got older, Olivia began to see the importance of being the middle child. Taught the same things as her other siblings, never wanting for anything, but never the one the attention is fully on. It's a prized spot, one she wouldn't trade for the world. She can blend in like a wallflower, or stand out in the middle of a party, whichever is more to her benefit.

She knows she will never be queen, though it's a responsibility she doesn't want. She enjoys the time she spends with her family, and will always have their backs.

Extra:
-She misses how close she and her brother used to be, before he shut himself off to the world.
-The idea of settling down with one person forever terrifies her
-Is slightly obsessed with her looks
(more to be added maybe)

History:
Amren was born only two years behind Christopher, as a girl, she was very well educated from a young age, taking interest in books and knowledge rather than the dancing or dress up the noble girls enjoyed so oftenly. As a young girl, she looked up to Christopher as a role model, and was close with him when she was around five. Despite her intelligence, she was a naive and serious girl, and one day her two friends, Ava and Diana played a trick on her she would always remember.

Both Ava and Diana ganging up on her, they had lured a very innocent Amren to play tag. Ava and Diana ran through the place halls with Amren pursueing them, going into the farthest reaches of the palace where few really passed. Amren has chased the pair into the closet, tagging them, and they ran out of the closet squealing, quickly turning around and locking Amren inside the dark confided space, whom at that time had a massive fear of the dark. Ava and Diana ran off, giggling in delight, leaving Amren screaming in petrified fear in the closet. Amren had been locked in the closet for hours, half a day passing before they had located her. It is said Amren was traumatized, and was never quite the same afterwards.

As she grew up, now more serious, and apathetic then a child should ever have been, she noticed the way Christopher too had begun getting colder and more stone faced as the years went on, and Amren would find herself blaming her parents, who seemed only fit to make him a good king, and despite her efforts, she could not get through to Christopher as he shut the world out. Perhaps another thing that had made Amren grew harder was the loss of the role model she once adored, and the disgust and sense of betrayal she began to feel towards her strict father, whom Amren began to challenge constantly in her teen years, and still in her twenties.

Despite her iciness, Amren looks after her siblings in the best way she knows how, and tries to help them in the best way she can, which, in her insensitive nature can sometimes lead to more issues. Amren now often spends her time in the gardens reading, or in the solitude of her rooms, though in occasion one can find Amren with her siblings if she’s in a generous mood.

Relationships:
• King Robert Ravenswood:
Perhaps described distant at best, Amren and her father’s relationship are usually described as problematic at best. Once she knew Christopher as the little boy she looked up to, and now no longer is he the boy she remembers from her childhood. Amren blames her parents, more specifically her father for the transformation in her brother, comsiderering it was her father’s job to raise Christopher into a man, and made him a cruel beast instead. Amren is often blunt and ill-tempered in Roberts presence, challenging his opinions and authority constantly with her unrelenting tongue. However, deep down she fears he will one day marry her off to someone she doesn’t love, but cannot calm her anger towards him, even for her own sake.

• Queen Arielle Ravenswood:
Amren also finds herself at odds with her mother, despite her now grown into more independence from the King, Amren blames her for not taking action with Christopher sooner, and stopping Robert in whatever he did to make Christopher the way he is now. Amren finds her just as cold to her mother as she does her father, if not less so, never holding back anything insensitive or blunt when it comes to the Queen.

• Christopher Ravenswood:
More like her brother then any of her other siblings, despite his cruel nature, their somewhat hard similar personalities have always been a silent comfort to Amren, and she could never forget the boy she used to play with. But she is not niave, and knows he is no longer so innocent but dangerous, though she sees the heart he so stubbornly refuses to show on occasion. Perhaps closer to him than any of her other siblings, despite the relationship being still somewhat distant, she has always shared the rare jest with him, or stood at his side in a number of things when she believed in them, and opposed when she did not, but she has never hated him, not like some of her siblings, perhaps she’s been angry, like the situation with the servant, but she could not hate the brother she still holds dear, but sometimes fear his own cruel ness and power will be his downfall, and her family’s.

• Arthur Ravenswood:
Never really quite close with Arthur, though never on bad terms either, Amrens relationship with Arthur is neutral at best, both sharing they’re traits in bluntness, they find a mutual respect for each other, though, like many, her insensitive to others have often caused an argument here and there with Arthur, putting them on neutral standing.

• Olivia Ravenswood:
Amren finds herself struggling to grasp Olivia’s bright nature, which is far brighter then her own personality. Amren’s protective of Olivia, as with all her siblings, but finds herself struggling to understand what she is so happy about. Amren has also delivered her fair share of insensitive backhanded comments to Olivia, and finds herself only able to bear such a bright soul for so long without snapping, but loves her sister nonetheless, though nobody would ever guess Amren loved anything at all.

• Adelia Ravenswood:
Overprotective of the naive younger sibling, Amren has always felt the strong sense to strengthen the young girl in the tough ways of the world, perhaps more protective of her than her other younger siblings, Amren has often been ready to step up to Adelia’s defense if need be, despite the very strained relationship. Two polar opposites, Amren is very insensitive at times to what she considers to be Adelia’s very fragile emotions, and has hurt Adelia’s feelings on a number of occasion, not truly knowing how to cater such fragile, naive emotions, she finds herself at odds consistently with Adelia, in recent events, Amren has struggled to comfort Adelia as of late, and though she pity’s her, and the servant that lost her life, Amren see’s little in Adelia’s grieving, telling herself Adelia simply needs time to cop, and as such will surely recover as time goes on, hoping that perhaps the young girl will eye the world more cautiously.

William Ravenswood:
Amren sees the gentle heart in William, and like Adelia both fears and worries for them getting broken and betrayed, making her especially protective of William as well as Adelia. She respects Williams patience to see through her own cold grumpiness, and like Adelia, speaks more gently to him as well, though she never refrains from her usual grouchiness and bluntness around him or towards him directly. Amren also believes he too, must see the harsh ways of the world he lives in. Despite this, Amren has always secretly respected and liked William for his patience with her, understanding she can only be as nice as she shows most times.

• Genevieve Montjoy:
Two friends of polar opposites, one could look at the pair of friends and be bewildered by the sight. Amren has never quite understood Genevieve’s naive beliefs on love and such fairytales off happy marriages, but is intrigued by the fantasy all the same. While never confiding in Genevieve for comfort, for she seeks comfort in nobody, Amren has often been seen trading sarcastic remarks and jests around Genevieve, finding herself getting along with the opposite female quite well, Amren is quite close with Genevieve, though she’d never admit enjoying her presence outright, or anybody’s presence for that matter.

Love Interest: PM me if interested! I’m all for that scandal.

Genevieve Montjoy

1540857942375-png.497814
Genevieve, of course, was raised in the lap of luxury, but she is a simple girl. She just wishes to be a good wife to her future husband and to be loved by him in return. She knows that it will not be easy to keep her husband happy, and that he could possibly take on mistresses, but she also believes that he could possibly still love her throughout all of that, if she simply tries hard enough to please him. Ginny knows that she just has to trust in her father to pick a proper young man for her, because he would never try to harm her in any way.

Genevieve is a kind and caring girl who wouldn't hurt a fly, but she has quite the temper to her. If you make her angry enough, she can have the force of a thousand soldiers at her beckon, and would fight to the death to protect the ones that she loves. She loves horses and all animals, as well as writing and reading if given the chance. She is one of the most trustworthy women you will ever meet, keeping your secrets and taking them to the grave with her. She is incredibly organized and reliable, but is also quite timid and conforming. She does what it takes to please others, thinking very little of what she wants.

She grew up in a family with only one other sibling, an older sister. She doesn't see Georgina much anymore since she was married and moved to her husband's homeland, but they correspond via letters all of the time. Ginny also is now an Aunt to one nephew name Gregory, and has another niece or nephew on the way. Seeing how happy Georgina appears to be in her letters gives her more faith in her father, because he was the one that picked her spouse. She also knows that it is now time for him to pick one for her.

dfdh.jpg

History
Adelia, while being the youngest, has always been known for her cheer and excitability. She is also known for being social and making friends with all of the helping hands around the castle. Adelia didn’t have many other people around the castle close to her age other than her siblings and a few of the servants. She became exceptionally close to a servant her own age named Margaret. Margaret and Adelia spent most of every day together. They would walk the lengths of the hallways, talking about their wildest dreams and exploring the depths of their imaginations. Adelia would treat her to occasional pastries and they would sit in the castle garden and eat them together. That was, until a rumor spread of Margaret’s corruption. There had been rumors spread about her previously, but they usually faded away quickly. This one, however, had reached the king. He ordered her to be tortured into confession. Horrified, Adelia pled for her to be released and for the persecution to end. However, when Margaret did not confess of her crimes, she was sentenced to death by rope. It has been only a week since the death of Margaret, and Adelia has spent every passing day locked away in her bedroom. She refuses to speak to anyone who comes knocking on her door, and only opens it for meals. The hatred and disgust for her eldest brother boils and simmers inside of her.

Relationships
Christopher Matthias Ravenswood-
Adelia’s relationships with her siblings are favorable, except for that with her eldest brother, Christopher. There was a time when Adelia and Christopher got along well together, but he had morphed into a completely new person almost ten years ago. For the majority of Adelia’s life, Christopher has been half-man, half-monster. Her brother is, in every way, her opposite. She can’t comprehend his lack of empathy and cold-heartedness, and often despises his decisions. She fears the day he is to become king.

Amren Ravenswood- Adelia is close with her older sister Amren, despite her insensitivity. Amren is known to make backhanded comments that strike Adelia and sting. However, Amren is also very protective over Adelia and she cherishes their relationship for that reason.

Arthur Ravenswood- Adelia sincerely adores her older brother, Arthur. He has always been very honorable and is a good example of kindness and trust for her. She admires his passion and charisma, and thinks he is fit to be king, unlike her eldest brother.

Olivia Leigh Ravenswood- Adelia and Olivia get along well together. Olivia is outgoing, similar to Adelia, and they work well together in social settings. She finds it easy to go to Olivia with her problems, not only because she is understanding, but also because she is Adelia’s closest sister in age.

William Charles Ravenswood- William and Adelia get along very well. William is very laid back and easy going, a trait Adelia often lacks, so she is drawn to him and his aura of ease. It is easy for her to laugh and talk with her brother for hours, and she often feels like she is closest to him out of all her siblings.

(P.S. I apologize for the absurdly large images... I have yet to figure out how to adjust the size without distortion...)

will 2.jpg

Name: William Charles Ravensworth

Age: 18

Gender: Male

Role: prince 3

Skills: sword fighting, welsh/German/French, sociable, dancing, falconing, riding, jousting,

will1.jpg

Personality: William, or Will informally, is easygoing and highly charismatic. He loves talking to anybody that will listen, including servants and staff. He has a hard time taking status’s seriously and am even harder time ‘acting his position’. He’s more observant than he lets on and loves his siblings dearly, his father on the other hand he hates. Will faintly remembers Christopher playing with them long ago and knows his brother isn’t as cruel as he seems, yet feels that Christopher will become worse than their father if nothing changes. Despite Williams flippancy with most studies, the one that intrigues him most is cultural knowledge; religion, backgrounds, dress, dancing and everything else fascinates him.

Fears: his brothers cruelty and what it means, being executed by his own family, spiders and bugs

Likes: gossiping, making friends, people relying on him, making others smile, dancing, his siblings.

Dislikes: his father, social classes, etiquette classes, being called worthless or a disgrace, thinking about his future.

will 4.png

History: William is the youngest son and as such had little worry that he would one day take the throne. This let him more time to look around him instead of just at a book, he at times neglected his studies in favor of learning the castle gossip but never abandoned them completely. He was often, and still is, compared to his brothers and their fierce drive while Will has little. However he saw what they went through, especially Christopher, and wanted no part in that. As he grew older he grew more friendly, and he saw how Christopher was pushed even further until the boy almost never smiled. He knows that he is the 'disgrace' of the family and tries not to let that get to him, though there are many times he just wants someone to say that they're proud of who he is. As the siblings grew older they started to move apart, both because of personal reasons and their own obligations. This is something William hates and wants the siblings to become as close as they once were, after all it is 'them against the world' in quite a few cases and if you can't trust family then who can you trust. However after the torture and execution of poor Margret, a rather nice lady who always had a smile, William began to grow fearful of Christopher, if his brother was so willing to follow in their fathers footsteps on that regard then when would he start going after them as well. He worries not just for Christopher, but for his sister Adelia as well. To see someone as cheerful and kind as her to shut down like she did sickens William, no one deserved what happened to both Margret and Adelia.

will3.gif

Relationships:
Christopher- William still loves his older brother, though he fears how cold the other has become. He still remembers times when his brother was close to them and openly showed happiness, but he can't help but feel sad that he never sees that side of the future king anymore. He used to try and coax out that side of him when it was just the two of them, but since the torture and murder of Margret he hasn't really talked to Christopher. He sometimes worries that one day he'll push to far and earn the true wrath of his brother and be either killed or punished harshly, and if that day comes to pass that it will mark the day the real Christopher is gone for good.

Arthur- They get along but Arthur sometimes gets onto William because of his lack of motivation and passion. William has great respect for his brothers for his drive and passion and he secretly wishes he could be as passionate as Arthur is. He knows his brother feels less important in the family and hopes one day Artur will realize just how important to both the family and kingdom he is.

Olivia- Liv is nice to hang around because of her wild nature.

Amren- He loves his sister and tries hard to get past her general grumpiness, he knows she loves him and the others but has a hard time showing it. He recognizes that Amren is more gentle around himself and Adelia and loves making his sister smile.

Adelia- due to their similar ages and personality they get along fairly well. William finds it easy to talk to Adelia and is always ready to listen to her problems. William is greatly worried about Adelia because of what happened to Margret, and prays for her to once again find her smile again.

Genevieve- William loves hanging out with Ginny. She's kind and trustworthy, two traits in high demand within the walls of the castle, and he tries to find ways to make her more comfortable. He likes to share the gossip he heard with her because she knows she'll keep it a secret, and that she's to kind to use any information she hears against the person.

Arielle- His relationship with his mother is odd to say the least, he knows that she's been through things that would cripple any other person yet still wishes she would do more. He loves her and even though she chastises him she does so with a tone of voice that suggests she secretly approves. William has heard many rumors about the Queens old personality and hopes she can recover from her trauma and return to it.

Titus- William loves when Titus tells him tales of different countries and adventures, he could listen to the man's stories for hours without tiring. William considers Titus a close friend, though he has heard odd rumors from some of the staff that the man is hiding something but those rumors he doesn't pay any mind to. He trusts Titus but wishes the man would open up more to him, after all in his mind they're friends and should talk openly.

Mary- Quite as a mouse Mary is a hard one to pick out, but William enjoys talking with her. He finds her accent fascinating and always asks for more memories of her home in Ireland, sometimes he riles her up just so her accent comes out stronger. They haven't spoken together since Margaret's death, he knows she's avoiding him.

Maxwell- William talks freely when with Maxwell and is fairly relaxed when doing so, he is often down in the stables because of his love for riding so he sees the man often. He knows how the man feels about Arthur and wants them to be happy.

QUEEN ARIELLE RAVENSWOOD
Age:
45

Gender:
Female

Skills:
||Painting Landscapes|| Floral Arrangements|| Manipulation|| Decorating|| Fluent in Spanish, French, Latin, German|| Singing||

Personality:
Arielle had many different personality switches. When she was younger, she was a smart ass; a no-nonsense type of girl. She was always going to voice her opinion on something, regardless if it were acceptable or not. Ari was a lively girl who focused on living her life in the best possible of ways. Most people would describe her as a reckless example of what not to do in court. Inquisitive as well, always wanting to find out new information about this and that and making sense of the world. These traits, however, were subdued when her uncle forced her to marry the soon to be king. While she was still inquisitive and a bit sarcastic, she was no longer as reckless or carefree as she used to be.

Eventually, depression overtook her and she became more withdrawn from the world, a bit weak minded as well. She was no longer vibrant, but quiet and just overall depressing to be around. Coming out of this, she took with her the weakminded attitude, being easily manipulated by her husband. While she had regained most of her original personality, new traits kept popping up and changing who she was. She blamed this on the crown. Now, Arielle could be described as being like "winter when the sun is out"; a cold woman on the inside yet when she smiles can make you feel warm and at ease. She had learned to be just as manipulative as her husband. Even though she still wasn't as reckless as she used to be, parts of her wild self-came back such as drinking more than just wine with dinner and other activities. She was no longer his loyal and submissive wife he was used to, but the woman she was meant to be.

Fears:
Her Secrets Becoming Known
Christopher's Future
Being Hated By Her Children

Likes:
Nature
Drinking Alcohol With Stephen & Gabriel
Dancing Outside
Spending Time With Her Children
Archery

Dislikes:
Being Lied To
Apples
Men Who Think They're Smarter Than She Is
Ditsy Girls
Being Indoors

History:
Before Arielle became queen, she was a young and lively girl at court. Her parents passed, therefore leaving her in the care of her uncle, who did some bookkeeping for the king. This gave young Arielle access to the court and many options for suitors. She, however, had other plans in mind and becoming the queen was not one of them. She didn't want to give up her carefree life to any man or any title, but her uncle practically forced her to it. "For the family's honor," he told her the day of her wedding to the soon to be prince. In the beginning, she didn't want anything to do with him but like any good Stockholm Syndrome victim, she saw past a lot and began to fall in love with him.

In the beginning, she had lost three children and began to think she was cursed. Arielle fell into a deep depression that everyone thought would consume her. This opened up her mind for so much manipulation from her husband, blaming her for not giving him a healthy breathing baby. She was in a weakened state and when she finally gave birth, it brightened her up. Her first born was perhaps her greatest joy; even though she was still quite immature when he was born, this made her want to do better. Because of this and because of her past miscarriages, she looked up to her husband for more than a little guidance on how to raise their son.

She didn't notice it at the time, but his unorthodox ways of raising him were cruel. It wasn't until her second child that she noticed it and became concerned. "This is how we will raise a fine king," he told her every time he would discipline their child. She believed him, she trusted him, because he was raised at court the longest and she wasn't; because he was a king and therefore would know how to raise one. Poor Arielle was so naive for the longest of times. She would blame it all on not fully recovering from her depression. Her fourth child woke her up to his ways, but it was too late. All she could do now was give her son the love and affection she had missed out on. The love and affection she hadn't given to him because she was letting a man guide her. A man she now despised and now emotionally manipulated; a man she was no longer loyal to. However, she would never let that be known to him or to anyone around her. There was a facade she was determined to keep up. (May add more later)

STEPHEN CROWLEY
Age:
25

Gender:
Male

Role:
Prince's Adviser

Skills:
||Swordsmanship || Hand to Hand || Silver-Tongue || Juggling || Fluent in Spanish and French; Speaks Broken Russian; Reads Latin||

Personality:
Stephen is without a doubt the most charming man you may ever meet. He has a certain je ne sais quoi about him that just makes him the most alluring. However, don't let his slick words and beautiful smile fool you into thinking that he likes or cares for you. Nine out of 10 times he's really just after something you can offer him. Stephen cares for very little people and cares very little for their feelings or opinions. Really he's an asshole, but he does it so well that you can't help forgiving him for it almost immediately. The best part about Stephen is that he doesn't even hide the fact that he's an asshole; he knows he is. In fact, he blames whoever he hurts by saying, "You knew I was like this; you did it to yourself". It's because of this blunt yet honest attitude that you can never really stay mad at him.

When he's not being the worst and best parts of himself or tending to his advisory duties, you can find him drinking, brawling, or playing chess. Him playing chess seems out of the norm for him, but he is actually very intelligent; just doesn't want people knowing this to take advantage. Stephen has many underlying talents and traits, but because of his fear of getting hurt or fear of it all being used against him to hurt the few he cares about, he keeps it to himself unless needed later. Being around Stephen gives some this sense of freedom and pride; joy and happiness they never thought could be achieved. But only if they knew how faked a lot of it was.

Fears:
Getting Hurt
Getting People He Cares About Hurt
Being Used
Marriage

Likes:
Leisure Time
His Job
Personal Time
Sleeping With New Women
Living His Life

Dislikes:
Structure
A Planned Life
Relationships
Outsiders
Rules

History:
Stephen is a fourth generation Adviser; he was born into his role... Sort of. He had an elder brother that was meant to be an adviser, who had all of the training for the job. This gave Stephen the opportunity to do whatever it was he pleased. While his father focused on his older brother, his mother put all of her time into him. She was the more laid-back parent, allowing him to have more fun and more freedom with his studies and his training. She was the one who taught him the fun things in life; sword fighting, fighting with his fists, and, when he got older, how to hold his liquor. She was his whole world; everything he could ever dream for until she was taken away from him. A sickness had fallen amongst their home, his mother being the one to catch it for her family. It was in his arms that she died, her final words to him being, "Never let anyone use you against you." At the time he didn't understand what she meant, but later he would.

This lesson would come in the form of an older woman who had begun to comfort Stephen. She was one of the maids of their household and had taken him into her arms as comfort. Long story short, she used his sweet and kind nature to try and create an in to the family fortune. She figured if Stephen loved her, he would one day marry her giving her access to the money. He plan backfired when she was caught with his older brother, who was just as clueless as he about the manipulation. The only difference between the two of them was that she really was in love with his brother and he her. However, their father forbade him from marrying her, her family coming from some pig farm. "It would bring dishonor on our family and our family name!" His father stressed this. This was not heeded by his old brother, who then ran away and married her, never seen or heard from again.

Now, being the last son, Stephen had to step up to the plate for his family and become the next line of advisers in their family. A role he did not want (and vocally stated many times over) but would take. Considering he liked the Prince and he didn't want the family name shamed; he didn't want his mother's name shamed. (May add more later)

Queenie: His relationship with the Queen is one filled with drinking and advice. She reminds him of his own mother sometimes, which is why she is on the list of people he cares about. He adores his Queen like many, and has seen the slight changes she has gone through these past few years.

Titus Harbord
"Tis the role of those in my station, to lead those of one's own stature towards the words and truths already evident within thy heart. For the good man may study goodness his entire life, while a great man knows it from birth."
Age 27Sex MaleRole Tutor for the young of the royal family in matters of Philosophy, Language and Politics
Skills Fluent in English, French, German, Italian, Latin, Greek, Arabic, and has some practice in Egyptian Hieroglyphics, Mandarin Chinese and Sanskrit. He has read and personally translated hundreds of old texts, focusing on ancient Greek philosophy, along with teachings coming from China, India and various other countries. He has also taken to studying the growing philosophies developing in central, as well as western, Europe. Beyond his purely academic leanings, he is also quite a good speaker, and is quite skilled in teaching others how to voice their thoughts, developing their own styles and tempos, and generally managing to hold a crowd. He is quite skilled in games as well, and plays cards, chess and other games of strategy and skill very often. Another distraction is his piano playing, which he sometimes practices for hours on end, till his fingers burn and the skin feels raw - having led to him perhaps being one of the most skilled pianists in the country.
Personality Titus was born to a small family, of minor standing and very little authority. As such, despite his education and current position, he externally retains a sense of quiet subservience. This byproduct from his upbringing often disgusts him, and has him revolt internally against his own instincts. Internally he is a very conflicted individual, his feelings of hatred towards the royal family often questioned by himself - often asking whether they were the byproduct of his parents, while also understanding and agreeing with their displeasure - and logically knowing that he should feel similar. Yet, he also finds that this feeling of hate could not possibly be directed at all of them, for it is illogical to hate the forest, when a single tree was the one to fall on your house. Beyond this, he also feels conflict about threatening his own position - his personal ambitions, mixed with his academic ambitions and his moral ambitions - often has him sat alone in a room, antagonizing over his thoughts as they run around in his mind, circling like hungry sharks - waiting for a moment to strike at each other and devour his personality entirely. Further, beyond even this, his confusion over finding that both men and women seemed to be the 'fairer' sex in his mind, and the fact that he can't seem to get himself to believe in any sort of 'actively present' God - has him constantly on edge, having his shoulders constantly tight with tension and his teeth gnashing in his sleep at night. This often has him avoiding people and conflict entirely by throwing himself into his work, having developed an iron focus - capable of offering undivided and uninterrupted concentration on a single subject for hours on end.
Externally, he is a quiet, polite and gentle man. He never speaks out of turn, and never says anything out of place. He does the work he needs to, and retires to his rooms, or the libraries when done with his duties, and remains invisible for the most part. He shows very little emotion, the crazed hurricane of thoughts only really perceptible at it's peak, when his eyes would be wide and his breathing somewhat heavy. This happens very rarely, as he will feel these episodes of psychological tension approach and excuse himself from polite company before they arrive.
Fears ( 1 ) He hates the idea of being controlled by another, either consciously or not. ( 2 ) Beyond that, he is afraid that he will fail to force himself into doing what his parents expect, ( 3 ) while also being afraid that he might fail should he eventuality try, ( 4 ) while also being afraid that he might succeed. ( 5 ) Finally, he fears that he will be found out, and killed for a series of things. ( 6 ) The first being his treasonous thoughts. ( 7 ) Then his lack of religion. ( 8 ) Then his sexuality. ( 9 ) Then his ideas on freedom and equality.

History He was born to a farmer and his wife twenty seven years ago, on a cold and brisk winter morning. His family had always been proud, having a long line of loyal and influential warriors and soldiers on both sides. The lack of recognition, the lack of reward, the lack of respect from those they serve had for a long time tainted his family, and driven them towards resentment. These ideas were only cemented when the people started disappearing. Executed for minor faults. Faults that were not their own, while the children of the crown got away with everything. As if the whole country became the whipping boy, while the king's spawn fucked whomever they wanted, and just got away with it.
As such... Titus was not going to have a normal childhood. He would never have become a knight. No. His father would not have allowed it even if he had that inclination. His family had served the crown long enough. No... Titus would learn. He would forge himself into the spear his father and mother would use to break the foundations of the crown. He was sent off by the age of six ,to a church, where he slaved away in order to please the clerics. In return he was taught to read, write and reason. He was taught the gospel, and would master it's various caveats and subtitles before he left at the age of 15. From there he left for the great schools of Britain, then Europe and even North Africa.
He studied History, Language, Art, Music, Politics, Economics and Science - never losing sight of his goal. He needed to be the best in his field. The only choice. The tutor that would teach the children of the crown. For that had been the plan. The family were no longer warriors or legends. They were farmers. And farmers could not overthrow kings. The only ones who could kill kings... were soon to be kings. And who better to sow the seeds of mistrust and regicide into the ears of the young, than their teacher. That was the plan. It was why Titus had been born. There was to be no discussion. Kings were to keep their heads, lest they lose it. A phrase his father had used since before Titus could understand it.
When he finally returned to his home country he was perhaps the most overqualified teacher to have ever lived. It was not hard to ingrain himself into the academia that surrounds the crown. It did not take long for them to suggest his position to the court - a worldly teacher, with experiences of various cultures, and languages - a brilliant young mind of subtle thought, a perfect model from which the Princes and Princesses could mould their public and political personas after. One that they could associate with easily, and whom might inspire them to explore the various roles of court.
And this is where he finds himself now. In a desperate position. Tasked with inspiring regicide. Tasked with teaching regency. Tasked with being perfectly inconspicuous. Tasked with being servile. Unsure as to how he should proceed... unsure as to whether he actually wants to. Paralyzed in the realization of having followed a plan since birth... and now suddenly being without one.
Extra
∘ He grows various herbs and spices from all over the world in his rooms, and it always smells of peppermint and flowers.
∘ He keeps his clothing perfectly neat, and you will almost never see him outside of formal dress.
∘ He has a piece of clothing or jewelry - like a scarf or perhaps a ring - from each country he has been, including various European countries, some imported from China and India, as well as Morocco. He keeps them in his rooms, in a locked chest, and he has never really showed them to anyone.
∘ He has a light tan that seems to have stuck from his travels, and he often walks outside to enjoy the sun.
∘ When he is not teaching, he will separate his days into hours - and speak, write and generally 'live' in a different language for each hour.
∘ He is not a physical person at all, and has no means of defending himself.
∘ He is terribly allergic to horses, and needs to ride in a carriage should he wish to travel.

Personality: Amalia is a peaceful girl that is making her way through life as well as she can. She often stuck to herself when younger because her father is the highest judge in England and wanted to make sure she didn't get hurt. Due to this she never got the interaction with people she needed as a kid causing her to be more unsure in social situations. She worries what people think about her, but tries to keep it inside so no one is offended by her fear of them.

She tries to see the best in everyone, but even sometimes people's outward appearance's scare her. She attempts to avoid those negative assumptions of people, but she can't always catch herself. She is not the smartest of people so she prefers to keep to creative things like baking or music. Amalia is a gentle person who enjoys getting affection from people and loves to just sit and talk with them. She always believes people can do good things, however can be too trusting with that belief.

History: Amalia was born into a loving family that she was the only child of. Her father was very protective of her and would only let her hang out with certain people. Due to this, most of her time was spent with her mother or alone. She learned many useful skills from her mother, such as cooking, gardening, ect that will be useful once she gets married. Her mother mainly taught her those skills for the purpose of becoming a great wife, however Amalia enjoyed the skills even with it's true purpose being known/

When she was 18 her father informed her of the fact she was considered to be married off to the King's son. This resulted in more training about being a wife and the history of Britain. She didn't do very well on the academic part of it, but she did her best. Her training was not a waste of time because she will now have to use them daily due to her being the prince's fiance. She hopes very much that he will like her and give her a chance.

She knows that it will be difficult for him because he was forced to marry her, but she hopes that over time he will see that she isn't so bad, and may even come to love her in the way that married couples are supposed to. She is very nervous about messing up in front of the royal family, and even more about messing up in front of her kingdom. Her family has wished her luck, and she is hoping all goes well.
Extra: Can't see anything more than 3 inches away from her face without her glasses.

Mary 1.png

Name: Mary McKinley

Age: 22

Gender: Female

mary 3.jpg

Role: Maid, love interest

Skills: Cooking, sewing, cleaning, singing, Gaelic

Personality: Mary is quite yet firm when she is working on something. The castle at times terrifies her, especially the king and first prince, but there are some she can even call a friends now. That said she is still terrified of messing up and losing her head for it. Mary can neither read nor write yet has a burning curiosity of the world unknown, and because of her upbringing almost everything is unknown. She speaks gently and politely until she is comfortable with someone, after that she speaks much more freely and lets her Irish accent seep through more. Mary appreciates bluntness, she would rather someone bluntly tell her what she's doing is stupid then for them to whisper and giggle about it behind closed doors. Mary has never told a living soul that she fancies women as well as men.

Fears: Being executed, the king and prince, God punishing her

Likes: Her home in Ireland, hearing fantastic stories, finishing a hard task, her friends, sewing

Dislikes: Rumors, someone slandering her home country, when her accent comes through without permission, cleaning the fireplace, when people make fun of her when they know she's listening

mary 2.jpg

History: Mary was born to a large family in a small town in the heart of Ireland, she worked the fields with her parents and helped take care of her siblings but they were happy. Her parents often spoke ill of the other countries King, how he was cruel beyond compare and that 'none of those royals with their stuffed shirts would know what a days work was if it slapped their backside'. Mary would giggle but thought very little of it at her young age, sadly her happy life would be forever ruined when a group rode in on horses. They had no demands and merely waited as her father dragged her out of the house, they handed him a sack of gold while her mother and siblings wailed. As they carried her away she looked back and saw her proud, strong father openly weeping.

Mary was given to a wealthy family in England and told what to do and say and how to say it, it was pure hell for the first year but after the head maid took young Mary under her wing it got a bit easier. She taught Mary how to speak without her accent leaking through and taught her the ins and outs of caring for a house and the family they served, Mary took all of her lessons to heart and began to excel as a maid. When she was sixteen the family told her she would be sent to the royal family and was to work at the castle, it was even more terrifying to work at the castle then it was at the house. She kept her head down and worked hard, soon she was sent to the royal family's rooms to clean up when they were out and after that she would bring food to them. Then she was tasked on mending their clothes when it was necessary. She even began talking to a few of them and began enjoying their conversation, calling a few of them her friends only in her mind. Now that she's been working at the castle for a few years she feels more comfortable walking through the halls.

She knew Margaret and was friends with her, so when the accusations started and her friend was tortured and murdered she began to hate the eldest prince. After the execution she stopped talking to the royals and anyone else of higher birth, she also began hating the eldest prince with an unbridled passion.

Relationships:

Christopher- Mary is terrified of him and his father, she also hates him more than she thought possible. At first it was just fear but Margaret was her friend, one of the few she had, and to have that happen to her for what equates to a show of power makes Mary's blood boil in a way it hadn't before. Not that she would ever so much as hint it.

Amren- Mary actually apritates the Princess's blunt nature and direct way of speaking, yes she's a bit gouchy but Amren isn't the type to mock her out of earshot.

Adelia- Mary would enjoy visiting the youngest heir, Adelia was always kind and never hurtful. That and they had shared a mutual friend in Margaret, and Margaret always had nothing but kind things to say about the young princess. In a way Adelia reminds her of one of her own siblings.

Female
Beatrice 2.jpg

Role: Lady of the court (Love Interest)

Skills: Politics, sewing, debating, lying

Personality: Beatrice not only loves Court life and politics, she thrives on it. All of the betrayal and lies mixing together to create a beautiful cocktail that only a quick wit can maneuver. A quick wit and sharp tongue are both traits Beatrice has in spades, she has learned how to tear a person to their bones with words alone and is more than happy to do so. She despises weakness in any form and if she sees it she will attack. However she respects mental strength and a strong attitude, while she typically doesn't care for those beneath her if they prove themselves to her she will gladly talk open with them. Beatrice loves a good banter or even better a debate, most times she doesn't care who provides it as long as they can keep up with her sharp tongue. All this said she would never speak out of turn in front of the king and would instead play the part of a grateful noble. Beatrice has mixed feelings for her family, on one hand she loves them and the power their position but on the other hand she can't forget the cruelty she endured from a young age and that few members care even minimally for her.

Fears: That she will always be alone and hated, her father

Likes: Strong willed people, banter, smart people, jewelry, fast paced life

Dislikes: Weakness, dull people, overly happy people, ditzy people, most servants, the dark, being alone, closed spaces

History: Beatrice was born to a noble family filled with children, her mother died when she was quite young and to this day Beatrice holds firm that her mother was poisoned by her father because he was eyeing another woman. She has many siblings and while some were kind and loving the others were cruel and told her father that Beatrice was doing scandalous activities. This led to her father either striking her, or and more often than not sending her to the room. The room was a dark closet that one could barely turn in and was locked from the outside, once a child was sent to the room they could be left there for hours or even a full day. The other children knew that should they talk to the one in the room that they would be punished to the extreme. Her father had other punishments he would bestow, but the room was always the worse. Beatrice's father has been through a total of four wives, two died from 'odd sickness that killed them quickly' though it was little secret between the siblings it was poison. The other died from suicide, even now Beatrice isn't sure if it was actually suicide or if it was murder but either way her father was behind it. Even the children weren't safe, one of her sisters named Holly had always been confrontational to their father. She also never held back in criticizing families higher or lower than them, but the worse offence came when she was to be married. She had screamed at her father until she was blue and finished by telling him that she liked women instead, shortly after she was found dead in her room from 'a mysterious and fast acting illness'. After that Beatrice kept her own fancy for both genders secret from everyone.

History:
Feyre grew up in a humble home in France near the borders of Britain. They lived a few miles off of the nearest town, and as such relied on the land for resources. Feyre grew up as the only child in her family, and was heavily dotted on by both her mother and father. Her mother was French while her father British, but their love was endless. However, tragedy struck home when an illness plagued their home when Feyre was five. Her father nearly sold everything they could to try and get the right coin for, and both labored endlessly for any coin they could, but it was not enough, and the quickly fatal illness stole her mothers life before they could afford the medicine.

Too grieved to stay at the home any longer, Feyre’s father crossed over France’s borders and into Britain, where he would build his own small wood cabin in the woods, not able to afford a home in town. Feyre quickly became his shadow as he taught her how to speak English, how to fish, how to hunt and fight, all so she would never have to rely on a man as most women did. Her father was all she had, she didn’t mind the poverty as much, they made a decent living, though they fought for it everyday, as long as she had her father she was content in her eyes. But when Feyre turned eighteen, the two were leaving town that night, after trading their pelts and meat, and stumbled upon a dead man, or someone who was dying. Her father knelt down to see who he was, and as the mans final breath passed his lips the guard patrols saw them, hovering over a fresh dead body, with nobody else in sight. The guards quickly moved to arrest them, and he yelled at her to run, that he’d be right behind her, so she did. She got home and waited. And waited. Then she left, knowing her father was about to be sentenced for a crime he didn’t commit. She traveled all the way till she saw the giant pile of wealth the royal family lived comfortably in, that royal palace. With nobody knowing her face, Feyre pleaded with whoever she could. She pleaded to the guards, and anyone else who saw to executions, and even begged for an audience with the king, this scrawny, bony French girl, but was turned away. Feyre constantly sought for ways to break him out but every plan never came to fruition. Then her father was executed, the noose around his neck as he begged the people, the executions, that he had a child to take care of, that it wasn’t him. But they didn’t listen. Feyre watched the execution, helpless.

And promised revenge. Revenge on the cruel King and Britain’s cruel prince, her desire for vengence growing more with each execution. Feyre stayed in the town closest to the palace, and worked as a serving girl as she plotted her revenge. When she turned twenty, she applied for a position as a servant in the castle, and succeeded. But the more times she’s spent in the palace, the more she’s begun to see not everything is in black and white, and hesitates in her mission to end the king and eldest prince.

Extra: Has a slight French accent, and a small crush on Christopher

Theme: Theme

Personal InfoSteffon's history is largely unknown, having been born to a noble father and commoner mother. Due to his bastard status, he was never acknowledged in anyway shape or form. Steffon took a keen interest in weapons training and somehow his mother made it happen, later Steffon found she became an assassins lover in order to get her son trained. Steffon was trained in numerous weapons and poisons as a young lad, until he showed enough promise to join his mentor.

Steffon began to travel the kingdoms with his mentor, taking on contracts and completing them, leaving a calling card of a black bird pin. Thus the moniker of the Nightingale was born. Steffon made sure to wipe any trace of himself so that his identity could not be found and gave himself a name Steffon Arianai. While completing contracts as an assassin, he earned a name as a great warrior and found himself in the employ of the prince. Still his identity unknown, he became the Princes personal guard.

Likes:
Testing himself - Steffon will often set himself challenges to keep his skills sharp.
Herb Lore - One of Steffons strengths is his herb lore, for brewing poisons, its a passion of his.

Dislikes:
Being shown up - Steffon can be quite annoyed if someone manages to outshine him in his line of work
Letting the Prince down - Steffon does not take into account failure, its not worth the princes wrath to fail

Fears:
Steffons fear is the same as any warm blooded man, leaving this world.
Losing Favour with the prince, since the position is a comfy one

Relationships:
Prince Christopher: Despite the differences in personality Steffon holds the prince in a regard befitting a friend.
