️ introduction hi all. just gonna jump right into it: my name is ely and my pronouns are he/they. i'm 31 years old and have been writing off-and-on since i was roughly 10 or 11. i've been getting back into writing recently after taking a few years mental health hiatus, fortunately my work gives me a bit more ""free"" time now but that also means i am finding myself... frequently bored. i have two RP's and another in the works currently but think i might be able to take one more. i like a little bit of everything but most drawn to horror, sci-fi and fantasy elements like ghost stories, dystopian/post-apocalypse, monsters & myths... and romance is a must.
let's start with some:
️ general rules, preferences & boundaries ️ - no BDSM, non-con, rape, or outright smut
- 21+ preferred, both for partners' and the characters' age ranges
- i don't really care where we do our writing but i prefer to keep OOC chatter on discord as much as possible. also let's not have this relationship become purely transactional, it's fun to make new friends out of RP partners, too. especially if we have similar values and politics. :')
- if i've ever written with you before, feel free to reach out again even if you might have ghosted in the past. forgive & forget is possible and always welcome here.
- if you need to leave the rp/chat for whatever reason, please try to give me a head's up so at least i don't worry and know that you're safe/alive. i tend to care for partners like friends. if you don't want that than we might not be a good match. at the same time, i do understand shit happens and won't be mad regardless.
- no anime face-claims but drawn or whatever else you use/don't use is completely fine.
- if you have any explicit triggers or hard boundaries, please let me know. (for me: no choking/asphyxiation elements and no detailed cutting/razor blade descriptions.)
- queer perspectives and queer romance only. i usually lean towards fem, nonbinary and trans characters.
- reply frequency on my end tends to vary but can probably manage at least 1/week.
- i like to scheme and plot ahead! but i also like to just get lost in the characters and the art of storytelling. :') i lose my interest if it only feels like a race to the end. also fine if we're flying by the seat of our pants but let's try to have some idea where the fuck we're going lol
- coding is pretty but it's also very distractive. i used to love creating aesthetic boards but now i mostly don't keep up with coding. i'd probably prefer it wasn't used in any of our regular IC posts besides anything whatever we might do with like title/prologue and starters.
plots/interests ️i'm not too good at coming up with my own plots (ADHD brain tends towards anxious/overwhelmed rather than hyperactive creativity lol) so if you have any of your own, please throw them at me and let's talk! i'd love to do something with ghosts and possession, myths and monsters, ancient gods and old forgotten realms, artificial intelligence, cults, anything of the like. i love psych horror and torture monsters like Pennywise, Candyman, the Babadook, the Grudge, and Mr. Crocket. i usually draw some influence from mental health and real-life but i've lost most of my interest in outright slice-of-life. also feel free to throw a random book or movie/show at me and we can talk plot elements to steal from that.
vampires? cool. historical influence? cool. political theater? cool. space and aliens? cool, cool.
i'll probably need to draw the line at dystopia/post-apoc right now because two of my current rp's have those sorts of elements already. anything else is cool. again i love ghosts 8) and Black Mirror stories and ... this would be new for me, but i also wouldn't be opposed to some sort of DnD-style monster hunting adventure like Stranger Things (minus the zionist dumbass Noah Schnapp) or, more comically, Dungeon Meshi.
