️ introduction ️​

hi all. i haven't done one of these (reliably) in years but lately have been feeling that i'd really like to get back into writing. to start off, my name is ely and my pronouns are he/they.

i'm 30 (almost 31) years old and have been writing off-and-on since i was roughly 10 or 11. i like a little bit of everything but mostly prefer queer fiction. lately i believe my heart's been set on horror, sci-fi, dystopia, mystery, suspense... always fine to add a touch of romance when and where appropriate as well.

️ general rules, preferences & boundaries ️ ​

- no torture porn, no BDSM, no rape, no smut
- 18-21+ preferred, both for partners' and the characters' age ranges
- i don't really care where we do our writing but i like to keep OOC conversation separate on discord if possible. also let's not have this relationship become purely transactional, it's fun to make new friends out of RP partners, too
- if i've ever written with you before, feel free to reach out again even if you might have ghosted in the past. forgive & forget is possible and always welcome here
- no anime face-claims, but whatever else you use (or don't use) is completely fine
- if you have any explicit trigger warnings or hard boundaries yourself, please let's discuss.
- queer perspectives and queer romance only. i'm less interested in mxm
- reply frequency on my end tends to vary, probably best to just expect & be prepared for 1x/week.

️ plot and idea sandbox️​

. tortured soul (possessed),

my characters or yours is a tortured soul, really down and out on their luck whether that's because they're dealing with recovery, active addiction, mental illness, recent stress or just pure circumstance. something--whatever that thing is, it can be anything--has made them really susceptible to both the torment of the living and the torment of the dead. cue lingering spirits, cue possession, cue concerned friend organizing for the tortured soul to get or receive help. maybe throw a bit of mysticism in there somewhere, a few eldritch creatures, good bit of horror... blood and gore. this one can go anywhere but will be loads of chapter-by-chapter chaos.​

. fallen cities and forgotten gods,

space adventure of some sort. earth is dying so of course we think our only option is to shoot out among the stars & ceaselessly colonize space. scientists have often warned but never quite confirmed whether or not humanity exists alone in this universe... like most things, we're sure to find out the hard way. perhaps it's not aliens we find but gods. a wasteland among the stars, all the things we hoped for, feared, a many old forgotten lore... humanity is small, insignificant, a tiny speck of dust. what happens when we meet a god?​

. wasting away,

dystopia, scorched earth. a crumbling and fractured civilization wasting away on earth. fighting breaks out amongst different gangs and factions. someone always has something that another person wants. resources plundered, squandered... the pits of hell beneath cracked earth. monsters and men are one and the same, they always have been and it shows.​
