A Few Years Earlier at AllDere Meadows
Main_school_building.png

The bell rang and the students ceased talking as they hurriedly made their way back to their seats. Looking at the board, one could see a mix of letters and numbers scrawled in neat handwriting, running long across the top: SRS 101.

Professor Tanudo:
Good Morning Class! Welcome to another beautiful session of Special Relations Seminar 101. There's some bad news I would like to share with you all, but before we get to that, let's call roll.

Miko Anisaki? I see you! (@kirito1337 )

Ken Graves? Good! Good! (@Stew )

Sekai Shamoda? Uh-huh! (@White Masquerade )

Ianari Isana? Whoo! Super! Nice to see you! (@The Doorman )

Now. Who am I missing? Ah, yes! The Kanedere! Oh I'm so sorry darling, I always seem to forget your name..My apologies. You are present! (@Peril )

Closing the log-book and placing it down on the desk behind her, professor Tanudo puffed a long, drawn-out sigh, then continued on to the heart of things.
"As I'm sure you all know from watching the news, our school is in...a bit of trouble. Between teachers' wrists being snapped, numerous fist-fights, and some of our own staff putting hands on a few rebellious students, our reputation has been tarnished; our approval rating is at an all-time low." Ms. Tanudo stopped, looking each student in the eye.

"Despite starting the Special Relations Course, and mandating all students take it, they will still be moving forward in splitting up AllDere Meadows...into several separate schools. They say it's to keep the students and faculty safe...but I don't believe it! I feel we should all be together! I mean...we've had such a wonderful year here! Azami has warmed up to some of you..Kenpachi hasn't had a major outburst since the 3rd week of class..."
A chuckle escaped from Tanudo. "Miko's even sharing his chocolates with the "deadly" Minoru! Haha..It's a sight to see...

Well, here is what I wanted to set up today. We only have a few more sessions left together, so I'd like to hand out one more assignment! Yaaay! Assignment! Okay everybody, listen up. This one here will be due in 5 years. Crazy right? Hear me out. The region will be setting up something called the "Dere" festival. It will be an annual event, that allows students from every school to attend and see all their old friends and acquaintances. It was one of the few things our principal was actually able to get them to agree on. A mischievous smile emerged.

"Live your lives. Go crazy. Do whatever. BUT! For the 5th annual festival..I want you all to meet back up with each other! Share your stories, explain how you've grown, how you've changed, and what you've done. This is my last assignment for you all! So...who wants to be the co-ordinator?

"So Kaiyoto. Can you let me listen to the next song you're working on?? Would you be able to say my name on it too??"

Thank you Sekai for volunteering," boomed the teacher, effectively interrupting the young girl's hushed conversation with Kaiyoto in the back corner of room. "Yeah, yeah. Your conversation was so important right? You can hug, touch, and kiss up on him after class. Now. Here is what the co-ordinator needs to do..."

Night Before the 5th Annual "Dere" Festival
So it's that time then.. Sekai stared at the group message prepped to be sent out to all of her former classmates. With eyes being closed, the send button was pressed. The message read:

[Hey ya'll. Here it is. It's the 5th Annual "Dere" festival. I'm going to be inside of Yin-Yang's Bamboo Garden Eatery at 8 o' clock sharp. You better not be late. Let's get this done and over with.]

Little did she know, that just a year prior, Johny Langley had gotten a new phone number. The message just sent, was fated to be received by someone else inheriting the digits; another fellow Dandere named Kimura Yuki. (
@Miyuki )

The Next Day

Miss Shumoda put on a light layer of lip-gloss as she stood in front of Yin-Yang's Bamboo Garden Eatery. Checking her appearance in a pocket mirror for one last time, Sekai walked forward, pushing open the establishment's door. After making a fuss at the welcoming counter, the young girl was promptly seated in a booth for ten, near the restaurant's entrance. As a waiter walked by, a command was called out.
"Hey you. Come here and be our personal attendant for the morning." The man stopped, whirled around, walking slowly up to her. "Excuse me? What'd you just say?" Pulling out a bill of undisclosed amount, Sekai repeated it. "Hey you. Come here and be our personal attendant for the morning." Snatching the money, he put on his best french accent. "But of course mademoiselle. I shall fetch extra menus. May I have your order?"

"Beef Negimaki. Make sure they cook it right okay?" Shaking his head, the waiter was off. Looking towards the door, next her phone, then back at the door again, Sekai put elbows on table, crossed her legs and waited. Where the heck are they?

Mika nervously stared up at the restraunt his phone clutched tighly in his hands. For once he was nervous. It has been five years since he saw his friends from Alldere Meadows and he has missed them dearly but he was scared. He didn't know how different they would be. Even so he knew that no matter how different they were if he had the choice he would still walk in there. They were friends after all.

Taking a deep breath he shoved his phone into his pocket and walked in. Walking to the welcoming counter he cleared his throat to gain the ladies attention. She smiled at him brightly."How may I help you?"

"Um I was told to meet a Miss Shumoda here." He could have burst out in giggles when her eyes widened with fright. Yep Miss Shumoda is here. She always has that affect."Um...ah yes follow me."

Getting from the counter she led me to a booth were a older Sekai sat. Smiling at her as the women left he slid in the booth opposite hers absently popping a sucker in his mouth." Hey Sekai long time no see."

Kimura was looking at her phone, unsure who would send her a message. She literally had a phone to talk with her parents, as they were never around to actually talk to her. She walked down the half empty street, her entire body, head to toe covered by the thin sheet, her able to see through it from the inside. She made her way to the restaurant, unsure what's going to happen when she gets there. She lightly peeks out from her blanket as she walks inside, keeping the color of her eye hidden, though it's to where she can see clearly. She walks up to the lady at the front. She didn't know what to say, or even what to do at this point. "E-excuse... me..." She's talking too quietly to be heard all that clearly by the lady at the counter. "I-I was told... to meet here..." The lady takes her over to the two that were currently there, Kimura still hidden from head to toe by her blanket. "Y-you... said to meet here...? M-might I... ask who you... are...?" She had one eye looking halfway out of her blanket still. She had a hard time originally deciding if she should even go to the place earlier this morning, and now, she was wondering why she was called there, by people she'd never met, nonetheless.

5 years before 5th Annual Dere Festival

Kaiyoto shushed the girl as quick as he could so no one could hear that he is a musician,

"Sh-Sh-Shut- Just shut up!" He says in a whisper-yell, the teacher says a phrase which makes Kaiyoto blush, but he quickly goes back to smiling,

"I don't like to mention that I'm a musician." He says followed by a quiet chuckle,

"But I wouldn't mind if we obey the teacher after class." He says before flashing his eyes at her in a sexy manner. This look was followed by a wild cackle which was stifled as best as possible, he has a quiet sigh after he's done laughing and shakes his head slowly. He knew that she was out of his league, but he enjoyed joking with her about actually starting a relationship.

5 years later

Kaiyoto just received a message on his phone, he swore as he saw the message was sent yesterday. The phone was very slow and he needed to get a new one, the texts always arrive late, it can range from 1 hour late to two days. Kaiyoto was glad he got the text now since it was 7:39, and from where he was, he could probably make it in time. Kaiyoto tells his chauffeur to head to the Restaurant. The driver heads to the eatery and parks a couple of blocks away, Kaiyoto doesn't want anyone to know that he's rich, he proceeds to the restaurant on foot. When he arrives, Kaiyoto walks in slowly, trying to identify any old faces, Kaiyoto is successful and jogs over to the table. Halfway through his jog, Kaiyoto slips on some food that had been left on the floor for no apparent reason,

"GAAH!" He yells as he falls over.

A bird chirped quietly as the sun beamed in through the window of a two story house brightening up some of the room. A cold breeze blew in through a open window. A Husky sat curled up on the floor as it's eyes slowly opened. It got up on it's two feet and shook it's self awake. And then with a yawn it began to gain some sense and it jumped up on the bed. The bed made a awkward sound... Or rather he made a awkward sound. Shooting up from in under the covers of his bed the messy brown haired boy looked down to the dog and he could swear there was guilt in its eyes.

Kenpachi began to gain some sense himself as he was now fully awake, He looked down at the dog and clicked it on top of the nose. He got up out of his bed and picked up his phone. Looking down at his phone he read his latest text message. [Hey ya'll. Here it is. It's the 5th Annual "Dere" festival. I'm going to be inside of Yin-Yang's Bamboo Garden Eatery at 8 o' clock sharp. You better not be late. Let's get this done and over with.]. Kenpachi began to think to himself. Who in hell is this and how did they get my number, but thats besides the point how did they even remember the 5th annual DereFestival I totally forgot He thought to himself.

Getting out of his bed Kenpachi began to freshen up and he jumped into the shower. he walked out of the bathroom wearing a male Kimono, a Haori and several other things he usually wears on a day to day basis. He walks down stairs with a pair of Tabi in hand as he slips them on then slipping on his Geta. He then walks out to his garage that has a lot of equipment into it but he makes his way back to the corner where there is a welding mask laid on a table with a metal sharpener. but that's not what he's interested in.

Kenpachi walks up the stairs to the Bamboo Garden Eatery. he takes a quick look at his phone. 8:10 it says on the screen of his Iphone 6. He presses the button on top to turn it off and makes it to the top of the stairs. His two bamboo swords click together on his belt. He fixs up a strap on his shoulder which is connected to a very baggy and silky case which appears to be holding something long a sleek. He walks up to the receptionist. "Hey your not allowed to have those in here!" she say pointing two his swords but Kenpachi just takes out a small card from his pocket. "I'm certified nationally" he says before simply pushing her out of the way. He begins two look around and asks another waiter for help finding who he's meeting and he points to a table.

Kenpachi walks up to the table that now has a couple people at it. Seeing a woman stood up wrapped in a blanket Kenpachi hit's her hard with his shoulder before taking a seat that was right by her. "You were in my way" he says simply. he takes a look around, sluing at the people sat around him. "So I'm here, now what the hell do you want, your wasting my time!" he said loudly.

A waiter came up and tapped him on the back, and Kenpachi looked up as if her were going to kill her. Fear sparked in the woman's eyes as she stuck out the menu and stood up straight in fear as soon as he took it. "I'll have the Sushi and Sashimi, The Salmon Teriyaki, The Goyza the pork ones, and fried rice" he said, "but sir the Sushi and Sashimi and The Salmon Teriyaki are only severed between 11:30am and 3:00pm" she said shyly. "I don't care make it happen!" he shouted as she ran off with his order. Kenpachi's hand was gripping one of his bamboo swords, so you could pretty well say he was ticked off.

Kimura gets knocked off into a table, hitting the back of her neck, falling forward and hitting her head on the floor. Her head was pounding, her blanket having fallen off of her head partially, revealing her white hair, and one of her cheeks. She curled up in a ball, fear throughout her whole body, one of her red eyes now showing, the other closed tightly, a tear building up in it. She was scared. This was the reason she'd stopped being around people, which made her question why she even decided to come here. She wrapped her entire body in the blanket, covering her head up just after tears started to flow sideways down her face.

Dark brown eyes trailed over the sign that hung above the restaurant, welcoming all that walked through its doors. Inside, he could spot happy families enjoying a nice outing and a few couples that nervously shuffled in their seats as they stared at their significant others. All was peaceful and cheery inside the well-lit eatery, giving off a delightfully peaceful atmosphere. However, one storm cloud would disrupt the sunshine.

Standing outside the establishment was a young man, appearing no older than the age of sixteen. Long locks of golden-hair reached his neck, giving off a somewhat feminine appearance. From the back, this appeared to be an average student, seeming even gentle at first glance. Any thoughts resembling this one would be immediately discarded upon witnessing the blond's face.

With narrowed eyes and slightly clenched teeth, the teen looked as if he was ready to kill anyone that so much as looked at him. Everything about him screamed that it was bad news to get involved with the boy, dangerous to even approach. Was this a demon? Was this some destructive force that had come to wreak havoc on their fair town? Neither of these guesses would be completely wrong, as the one that appeared irritated beyond belief was the local monster known as Ken Graves.

Right now, no part of Ken wanted to be here. It had been five years since this event was decided upon and he had no interest in keeping up with something from so long ago. If it was his choice, he would've been wandering the streets somewhere or studying for his entrance exams. If it was his choice, he wouldn't be anywhere near the restaurant. However, that was the main reason he was here in the first place. He didn't have a choice.

Thinking back to the events that occurred earlier today, Ken's dark cloud became more violent by the second. Gritting his teeth at the mere thought of what transpired, he cursed the one responsible for creating this situation. 'Nosy old man.'

---

Ken sat at the mahogany desk that was kept in the corner of the spare room, the pencil in his hand constantly marking on the previously blank sheet of paper in front of him. With each note made, he would flip to another page of the massive text book that threatened to tilt the desk over and knock over the supplies that rested on it. With each page turned, he felt another part of his soul being eaten away.

At the moment, he was studying English, one of the most difficult subjects available at Tsun Central. Most struggled with the language, often making no sense whatsoever, but Ken still managed to do well in the class. He had learned everything from French to German, taking to them quite well. However, the process of learning an entire language still left him feeling drained after a study session.

This was how it always was whenever he visited the Yozawa residence. He never had any intention to arrive here that day, but like most times, he was dragged here against his will. For the fifth time that week, Ken had managed to get himself involved in another fight, school uniform tattered from head to toe. Believe it or not, this was considered remarkable progress from his earlier days. Rather than five fights a week, he was lucky if he stopped at seven a day.

Like he often did, Toru Yozawa dragged him back to his home upon discovering the teen attempting to put himself back together on the street corner. After essentially kidnapping the boy and forcing him to get cleaned up, he was sent to the room that was saved for his visits, continuing his scholastic activities. That man truly had no boundaries.

As he copied the last of the foreign sentences into the thick notebook, the phone at his side vibrated, almost falling to the carpeted floor. The sudden message had confused him. The only people that had this number were the owner's of the house he constantly found himself in, never once divulging his information. He wouldn't even have a phone if it weren't for the family forcing it on him, despite his objections.

After turning on the device to read the message, the sudden text began to make more sense. It had been five years since he had attended AllDere Meadows and now it was time for this "Dere" festival that they had been assigned to attend. They would meet up with their old classmates and discuss the events that had occurred in their lives since the school had been divided. There was no way he would be going.

Tossing his phone over to bed positioned near the door, Ken returned to his studying, adjusting the glasses he had been forced to wear. Whatever they had been assigned all those years ago didn't matter to him. He had better things to do with his time and he couldn't afford to be screwing around. Besides, there was nobody there he wanted to see and he was certain that the feeling was mutual.

As his focus was kept on the newly produced textbook, Ken had failed to notice the older man that walked in. His attention was only captured when he heard a sudden noise that came from the door, turning his head to investigate. Standing in the doorway was the man that had owned the residence, having caught the cell phone in his hand before it hit the mattress.

Rolling back in his chair, Ken was surprised to see the man who watched over him. "What are you doing here, old Yozawa?" Disregarding the nickname, trying his best to keep the vein in his forehead from bursting, Toru stared back at the little delinquent. "Well, it looks like I'm watching you disobey your elders." Approaching the bespectacled youth, the guardian of sorts paused for a moment. "And what do you mean 'what are you doing here'? This is my house."

Stopping a few steps from the blond, the graying brunette began to confront his charge. "Never mind that, the important thing is this here message." Waving the black device for added effect, he could see the boy becoming more agitate by the minute.

Turing away from Toru in defiance, Ken retuned to the book on his desk. "I'm not going." While he tried his best to ignore the man at his side, the elder was annoyingly making his presence known.

"Oh, I think you are. In fact, I know you are. It doesn't matter if this was from five years ago or even five decades ago, it's still your duty to go." Shaking the end of the phone to the point where it reached the edge of blond's nose, it was no surprise that he soon snapped.

Rising from the chair, causing it to roll across the room, Ken stood his ground and refused the order. "I'm not going to this damn reunion! It has nothing to do with me! There's no point in me going!"

Proving to be just as stubborn, Toru matched the younger boy's volume. "It has everything to do with you! Stop being so difficult and just go! There's people waiting for you, so be quiet and go have fun!" Not exactly how most teachers handle their students.

Continuing the shouting match, Ken became increasingly louder. "There isn't anyone waiting for me! You're always forcing me to go places I hate, old man!" Getting in closer, the distance between the two was becoming noticeably short.

Responding in the same way, Toru closed the gap even further. "Well, maybe I wouldn't have to if you weren't so antisocial, you blond brat!" Not liking the name given by the man, Ken returned fire. "Damn pepper head!" Taking offense at the insult aimed at his hair, Toru became less restrained. "Wannabe delinquent!" Well, the blond hair certainly did give off that appearance.

This was how their interactions normally went. Both males were constantly arguing over the most trivial things, causing the other members of the household to become greatly exasperated. Well, with the exception of the youngest, Shoutaro often enjoying the daily matches in the home that served as a ring.

"You wanna go, brat!" Yes, things were truly about to heat up in the Yozawa residence. "You bet I do, damn geezer!" With their foreheads pushing up against one another, both attempted to gain more ground. When it seemed like fists would soon fly, both men felt a chill run down their spine when a sudden tap came from the doorway.

Arms crossed and long, dark hair casting a shadow over her facial features, Haru Yozawa appeared before them. "
What do you two think you're doing?" While others would have only seen a loving housewife asking a simple question, these two knew better. This wasn't a mere woman. This was a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Ordinary, Mrs. Yozawa was as sweet as sugar and very loving. She took great care of her family and treated Ken as one of her own children. However, underneath this gentle exterior was a monster that had no patience for disruptions such as this.

As the two slowly backed away, feeling their blood run cold and sweat pouring down their faces, both simultaneously noticed the weapon of death that was in her grasp. The infamous wooden spoon. While it may have not seemed dangerous, the utensil became even deadlier than the Grim Reaper's scythe in her hands.

In perfect sync, both males ceased their bickering and shook each other's hands in an attempt to appease the monster. "N-Nothing, Dear! I was just congratulating Ken on a job well done! He's been studying so hard lately! Isn't that right, Ken!"

On the other end of the gesture of friendship, the normally defiant blond held a similar nervous grin to the opposite man. "T-That's right! Thank you, sir! I'll continue to do my best!"

Observing the pathetic display to save their own skins, Haru watched the two with an eerie smile. "
That's good. It would be bad if you two were fighting again. Dinner will be ready soon, so just wait until then." Nodding their heads with great speed, the two shook in tandem.

As the woman began to retreat downstairs, her voice rang out once more. "Oh, and Ken..." With the previous darkness gone, the blond answered back, yet still wary.

"Yes, Mrs. Yozawa?" At the young man's response, Haru's head briefly appeared back in the doorway before leaving again. "
Don't forget to wear a jacket when you leave for the restaurant. You'll catch a cold if you're not careful." There it was.

Dejected, Ken's head now hung low. "Y-yes, ma'am..." Viewing this scene before him, Toru released a small breath of air while attempting to stifle his laughter. "Shut up!"

---

Flashback fading and returning to reality, Ken came back to his earlier thought. 'Nosy old man.' He had followed him from AllDere Meadows to Tsun Central and now his entire life. This was all his fault.

Finally walking through the doors of the restaurant, all that noticed the blond shrunk down into their seats, fearing the death gaze on the young man's face. While he had been learning to control himself a bit better, Ken still retained most of his bad habits, something that hadn't been lost on the town's population.

Approaching the counter, Ken was met by a young woman, presumably in her mid-twenties. Hearing the footsteps around her, the woman began to greet the incoming customer, but stopped upon turning. "Good evening, how can I help y-!" Face-to-face with the aggressive teen, it didn't take much to guess what he was here for. Several strange characters had walked through their doors recently, all gathering in one particular booth. "P-Please follow me to your seat..."

As he was led by the nervous employee, Ken could spot the students in the distance. Some appeared familiar, while others did not. To be more specific, one person, who strangely carried around a sheet, was unknown to him. Seeing this, he couldn't help but think about the reaction the others would give to his appearance.

Before the transfer to Tsun Cental five years ago, Ken was in the early stages of his personality change. He began to develop his aggressive and antisocial behavior, but he still retained the look that he had kept in his younger years. Short, dark hair and flawless skin that was only contaminated by the sheer exhaustion he carried, his current appearance was drastically difference.

His current look mainly turned heads due to the golden hair atop his head. Both the coloring and its length had been attributed to his desire to distance himself from the man that had abandoned him, but that was the extent of the influence he had on the boy. While not having the same number of objects on his face as he did previously, Ken still retained the piecing in his ear, which normally was more than enough to cause someone fear. He looked nothing like he did in the past.

At the moment, his clothing consisted of nothing flashy, as he hated that sort of thing, but the style still managed to capture his personality perfectly. His outfit consisted of a beige shirt with a matching pair of pants, noticeably torn in some areas. Over the shirt, the blond wore a argyle vest, the diamond pattern colored black, while the surface was a light shade of red. As per Mrs. Yozawa's instruction, he also wore a thin black jacket that remained open to reveal his top. Beyond this, he wore small accessories that consisted of a dog tag necklace and a wristband that was slung over his right hand.

It was highly unlikely that the group would recognize him by appearance alone, but there was another factor that could connect the dots. In this town, his actions were no secret. He was a local demon with an infamous reputation for the many fights he had been involved in. A golden-haired beast with the strength of an army. Descriptions like that tended to stick with a person, leaving his identity fairly obvious.

As the woman had finally brought Ken to the end of the booth, she wasted no time dashing back to the safety of her podium. She hadn't entirely dismissed the fear-inducing thought that the boy would eat her instead of whatever was on the menu. The woman couldn't really be blamed, paranoia or not.

When she had finally disappeared, Ken resigned himself to the farthest end of the booth available, remaining silent all the while. The only indication that he was conscious of the situation was the murderous expression that had engraved itself onto the boy's face. He was already sick of this.

Maki giggled happily around the sucker in his mouth at Kenpachis actions and Kens enterence. Kenpachi is still as crazy as ever and Ken as angry. Shaking his head he reached into his messenger bag and grabbed a few wrapped chocolate balls. Taking them out he leaned across the table and set it in front of them." That was so mean Kenpachi. You haven't changed a bit have you?"

He smiled at him leaning back. A waiter hurried over and asked what he wanted glancing at Kenpachi and Ken frightened. He obviously witnissed his out burst and Kens enterence. He thought about for a moment looking over the menu before deciding. Smiling at him he ordered.

"I would like a large bowl of vanilla ice cream covered in candy and chocolate syrup." The man didnt bother to argue just wrote down his order before almost running away. It was quit the sight. Sighing Mika leaned back and smiled at everybody. "How have you guys been?"

After five long years

Ianari found himself walking into a restaurant that he'd been invited to by a stranger who apparently knew him, his green eyes scanning the surrounding area to find not a single recognizable face in the building and he had to speak to an employee to find out who he was looking for, but just as he was about to head over to say hi to the strangers that he once called friends, he saw his brother's friendly face at the counter that he'd stood at only moments before, the cat hiding in his backpack peaking out a moment before the boy took off in the direction of his only sibling and nearly tackled him to the ground, it was good that the man was close to the wall or the situation could have ended rather poorly, "Misokoooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!" The teen cried out with arms held tightly around the surprised man, the glasses on the younger nearly falling off of his face but hung on with the help of Misoko's chest and the fact that he was held so closely, if he had been any further away Ianari would have to get his glasses replaced, and thankfully he was only going to have some explaining to do to a confused prosecutor.

"Do I... Do I know you?" Misoko blinked a few times, looking down at a person he didn't quite recognize, something seemed familiar but he couldn't put his finger on just who this guy was, he knew his name, and there weren't many Misokos, from his experience, but the identity of the stranger was still a mystery to him.

"Your brother? I-Ianari?" The boy was shocked by his brother's awful memory, disappointment filling him like a healthy lunch, not very much but noticeable enough.

"Ian? But you don't- You don't exactly look the same either, you idiot." Ianari spoke in a low voice, eyes narrowing as he looked up at the man's face, "But you do-" Ianari pushed Misoko back, eye twitching uncontrollably as he reached into his pocket for his wallet, yanking it out, flipping it open, and shoving his student ID into his confused older brother's face, "If I'm not your brother, I'd like an explanation for this." He watched as Misoko looked back and forth between the card and Ianari's face before making the connection, "OOOOOH! I'm sorry, I must be brain dea- You should be glad you aren't actually dead after that act of pure stupidity." Ianari growled as he put the object back into his pocket, "W-what?"

"Huh?" The boy looked at him and smiled, "I just said I'm really glad I could see you, Misoko~" He then proceeded to look around for these 'friends' of his, the uncontrollable twitch still remaining in his face as he looked around, wondering just where this person who had somehow contacted him was.

He was going to give her a piece of his mind, he was just not in the mood for the bullshit of someone wanting to mess with bipolar people, it'd been happening a lot lately and he was at his wit's end. Ianari took a bone-crushing hold of Misoko's hand and dragged him around like a lifeless ragdoll.

Miko turned seeing Ianari and Misoko from the corner of his eye. He smiled brightly at them one hand waving at them excitedly as the other withdrew some more chocolate balls from his pocket. "Misoko, Ianari I am so glad you guys made it. It wouldn't be the same without you guys."

This morning Azami had no inkling of anything unusual will happen today. That's why, the message that came to her phone was quite a surprise.

Hey ya'll. Here it is. It's the 5th Annual "Dere" festival. I'm going to be inside of Yin-Yang's Bamboo Garden Eatery at 8 o' clock sharp. You better not be late. Let's get this done and over with.
Sekai

As bossy as usual, she thought. Apparently despite 5 years of separation, some people just didn't change. Azami got to admire Sekai's good memory in here though. She herself would not remember about this festival if Sekai didn't message her. Then again, memory had always been one of a few good things Azami remembered about that girl.

Her schedule was empty today, despite for the fancy fundraising event that her family would attend tonight. So she get up and do her usual morning routines before she get out for the 'festival'. She didn't think much about what clothes to wear while she opened her cupboard, she only took the simple but elegant black dress that she often wore. After that, she gathered a few things she needed into her purse, including a little note for writing off inspiration that she always brought wherever she went. It finished, and she was ready to go.

Yin-Yang's Bamboo Garden Eatery wasn't that far from her house, it only took a little time for her to arrive there. Azami slightly frowned as she looked at the noisy crowd outside the buildings. She hoped it's not as crowded inside. She dislike crowds. Too much stimulation. Too bad she had to go past them to enter the restaurant,

Despite not saying any words, the crowds parted as she went through them. Perhaps it's because her straight posture and sharp gaze made people easily realized her presence. Or perhaps it's her distant, unapproachable aura that formed some sort of invisible walls around her. Whatever it was, it made Azami easier to walk without unnecessary hindrance.

Inside the restaurant was much quieter, to Azami's relieve. But of course, all of this quiet dignity was promptly destroyed as a certain
someone fell over and hit her in the process (@Stew )

"GAAH!"

Azami would have fall together with him, if only she didn't quickly hold onto the nearest table. She turned around to see who was
dare enough to almost makes her fall.

"...I see you still have the same poor coordination as you were five years ago, Kaiyoto."

Mika giggled turning as he saw the display Kaiyoto and Azami put on. Kaiyoto was always so clumsy."Quit fooling around you two and come join us! "

Kimura just keeps laying on the ground, covered by the blanket. A few strands of hair were laying out behind her, just waiting for somebody to step on it. She had a few tears still flowing down her face under the blanket, though she was more filled with fear than pain right now. She tried to curl up in a ball, only to find that she couldn't move.

"Hi you guys." He giggled waving. Mika stopped giggling when he noticed an odd site. An albino girl covered by a blanket laid on the floor. How did she get there? He wondered but a memory of Kenpachis actions flashed across his mind. Instantly he felt guilty. I just left her there He thought. I was so excited at seeing everyone I didn't even give her a second glance.

Standing he headed toward her and knelt beside her. Gently he placed a hand on her shoulder as the other uncurled in front of her face a chocolate ball on its palm. Smiling he spoke."Do you want some chocolate?"

He knows it wasn't much but in his own way it was how he showed his emotions and how he said he was sorry. He hoped she didn't reject him.

Ianari's eye twitching intensified, "Yes... Hello... Stranger... It's been awhile..." He snickered, pushing his newly-acquired glasses into place, the grip on his brother's hand easing and giving the man time to cry silently over the intense pain in his hand, his red eyes looking at the boy who had spoken. "Ossu, Mika..." Misoko said, examining his surprisingly intact digits and breathing a sigh of relief, looking around to see that those friend's of Ianari's actually were here, giving friendly wave with a sore hand, "Ohayooooo~!" He called out, nudging the irritated boy with his elbow, said irritated boy turned his head and waved at the two clumsy strangers with a murderous grin.

Kimura's entire body was shaking lightly, as though trying to move, but couldn't. Faint crying could be heard when up close to her, as well as her feeling pain. Her head was being pulled back slightly, the person kneeling down on her hair. "N-ngh..."

"Oh sorry." Mika apologised as he saw he was kneeling on some of her hair. Carefully not to pull it he moved until he wasn't on it anymore."Are you alright?"

Kaiyoto grumbles while sprawled on the floor, it was a very muffled grumble, but a grumble never-the-less. He suddenly shoots up with a large smile on his face,

"Azami!" He says with glee before hugging her, he knew that he would most likely get punched but he just loves to push her buttons,

"Man! How long has it been, five years?" He asks, still hugging her.

Kimura just laid there, unable to move. She was paralyzed from her neck hitting the table as hard as it did, her not sure if it's temporary, or permanent. She was lucky though. She wasn't really injured much beyond that. She once again tried moving, but all she can get is her body shaking. She couldn't even hide under her blanket from all the people around her. All she could do was lay there in pain, with fear through her body.

Minoru Daisuke

“Nii-chaaaaaan, Minoru nii-chan!!”

A whiny voice whispered in his ear which was accompanied by the shaking of his upper torso, specifically, his arms. Of course, Minoru knew who and why the person was doing this, so he never really made an effort to grant the person’s wish.

“Waaaake up!” Mamoru, his younger brother, growled, yelling into Minoru’s ear as he pushed the other down, causing Minoru to tumble below his bed. Hitting his head on the floor, Minoru grumbled as he woke up. Even though this was included in his daily routine, Minoru was never really in favor of Mamoru waking him up from his slumber. “Good morning, bro.” Minoru spoke in a husky, groggy voice.

With a smile, Mamoru replied cheerfully. “Good morning, my beloved older brother. How are you today?”

“Not fine”, was the response of the blonde man.

As if expecting that, Mamoru replied in a sarcastic sympathizing tone, “Woah, that’s not good. Tsk. Tsk. In that case, I’m going to present you with something that will boost your energy up!”

Heavens, no.

From Mamoru’s tone of speaking, that something wasn’t bound to be good. That kind of conversation pattern has happened to Minoru for several times and it always ended up with something that is related with ‘curing his gynophobia’. For Mamoru’s first tries, he’s been very successful with luring Minoru into attending goukons, a random girl’s party, and blind dates. However, after studying Mamoru’s actions, Minoru has been immune and has sworn that he won’t fall for the same thing again.

“I’m not interested.” Minoru groaned after pulling himself up. After stretching for a bit, he walked towards the bathroom in order to take a bath.

Sighing, Mamoru pulled a cellphone in his pocket which to be honest, was not his, but was the property of his brother’s. After swiping the unsecured lock screen, Mamoru silently re-read the newest message which was from an unknown sender. “It’s such a rare opportunity that you’ll get to meet them, nii-chan. There is a possibility that your phobia can be cured, too.” Grinning, Mamoru left Minoru’s bedroom as he continued to spoke to himself, “This is precisely why, I’m going to make sure that you attend the ‘Dere Fest’.”

*

Without even bothering to dry his dripping blonde hair with a towel after his bath, Minoru walked towards the living room, only to see that Mamoru was there first. Plopping himself on the couch, Minoru watched the television along with Mamoru. Surprisingly, Mamoru was pretty quiet until a certain commercial popped up.

“FREE! FREE! FREE! For every 500 yen purchase in Yin-Yang’s Bamboo Garden Eatery, you get a FREE LIMITED EDITION Sushi Pillow! The Promo is valid up until---“

“Nii-chan! Nii-chan! Did you hear what they said? They said you get a free, limited edition pillow!” Mamoru perked excitingly as he turned his attention to his brother. Since Minoru had a special weakness for limited edition goods, he was quite mesmerized by the commercial and was raring to go, even if it was not clearly evident on the outside.

Without any more words, the brothers started to dress in casual clothes and left their house. They started walking their way to the said restaurant while talking about what food they will eat once they’re in there.

Once they were just about to enter the restaurant, Mamoru suddenly felt his phone vibrate. “Hello? Oh, it’s you. What’s up? EH?! I’m sorry, I forgot! Okay, okay. I’ll call you back.”

Confused, Minoru asked his brother, “What’s up?”

“I’m sorry, nii-chan! It seems that my friend has an emergency and wanted me to be there. Can you go ahead and enjoy the food without me?” Mamoru pleaded.

“Alright. Make sure to go home once you’re done, okay?” Minoru nodded while Mamoru took off. Distracted by the promo, Minoru carefully made his way inside the restaurant, trying to avoid any possible contact with the opposite sex.

Once a waiter popped up, Minoru quickly asked him, “Excuse me, sir. Is the promo still valid today?”

“Eh? What promo?” The waiter asked, obviously dumbfounded.

“The promo about a limited edition sushi pillow?”

“Oh, I’m sorry, sir, but that promo has ended a few months ago.”

Minoru blinked for a few times, “What?”

As if on cue, Minoru felt his phone vibrate. A message popped up as soon as he opened his phone.

Hey, brother! How are you doing inside the restaurant? Have you eaten already? I bet you already found out, but sorry for tricking you with the promo. Truth be told, I recorded that commercial a few months ago and played it once you entered the living room. I never knew that would be handy, though. I also have the CD right here! We can look at it later when you're done meeting up with your friends. Good luck, bro! Don't chicken out, okay?』

Quickly, Minoru stuffed his phone inside his pocket. As he turned his back to leave, he was quickly stopped by the waiter from before. "We still do have new items for sale, sir. Plus, you can rent a booth while you're at it, too!"

Booth? There was never a booth here before.

Slightly curious, Minoru turned his gaze to the booth's direction only to see some of the familiar faces that he expected he wouldn't see anymore.

That, minus the bow. I apologize for the late and slightly lengthy post.

Mika worried his bottom lip as he saw the girls body start to shake. She must be really hurt. He hoped she wasn't gravely injured. He looked up and shot the others a frown."Kenpachi your so mean sometimes. How could you run into her like that?"

'Hypocrite.' His mind whispered. Your just as bad as him. 'You didn't even care when it happened.'

Frowning he stubbornly pushed the voice away and locked it in a safe. He never liked that voice. It always nagged him when he did something wrong. He wasn't a hypocrite he had just been distracted.

Kenpachi just sat there. "Good damn who the hell are you people any ways? Like seriously I don't even know you.... I just got your weird text to meet up at this place. So I'm here now, what do you want?" he said in a slightly pissed off voice. "And like I said its her own damn fault, people should know not to get in the way of other people" he said looking at Mika. "Besides how do you know my name?". He looked around at some of the face's around him. He never even recognised the face of a single one. But still the fact that they specified the date to the fifth Dere festival made him wonder.

He had been listening for a while now, paying attention to some of the names that were being thrown around. He looked around matching names to faces trying to figure out who they were. He eyed everyone there trying to get a match. Then he moved his hand up to his forehead trying to think and he brushed along a small scar along the top of his forehead and he instantly remembered something from five years ago.

5 years ago:

It was quite damp outside on this day but here was young Kenpachi walking to school flicking his knife around in his hand. he shoved it into a little case he had for it on his belt as he began to enter the vicinity of the school. Then he looked across the street to another young kid. He had long blonde hair. Kenpachi ran across the road knowing exactly who it was. And hell broke lose.

Present:

Kenpachi rubbed his scar looking at the man that was now stood near him who had similar blonde hair.... what was that kids name again? he thought..... He then instantly realised who it was. He picked up the chocolate that was given to him earlier and literally pelted it at Ken. The chocolate literally cracked into several pieces on impact. Kenpachi drew his bamboo sword and literally took a stance which led him to nearly step on the girl who was still curled up on the floor. He literally put his sword so that it was touching Ken's neck ( I'm literally literate....). "Your the Golden Haired monster Ken, aren't you" he said before pushing all of his weight down on his foot that was almost on top of the girl on the floor and unsheathing his second bamboo sword aiming for Ken's head.

Mika yelped frightened for the girl and hurriedly but carefully picked her up. Kenpachi can be so rash! Stepping back he made sure they were far away from the fight before setting her back on the floor. He would have set her on a booth if he wasn't afraid she would fall off. Staring down at her he noticed her blanket had fallen off so carefully covered her up with it again. She seemed rather attached to it.

Standing he walked around her carefully and back to the others. After he was a safe distance away from her he allowed himself to get angry as he remembered what Kenpachi did. That was perfectly good chocolate!

Marching up to kenpachi he grabbed his bamboo sword midair ignoring the stinging sensation it left and began to tug at it angrily. "What do you think your doing Kenpachi? You went and ruined perfectly good chocolate. How could you do something so horrible!"

"Good god, RELAX YOU SILLY PEOPLE!" Sekai moaned. It hadn't even been two minutes yet Ken and Kenpachi were already at it. Kaiyoto ruined a brilliant entrance by falling flat on his face and knocking over what looked like Azami and...someone? Who was that? Who was the girl in the white sheet...? @kirito1337 @Miyuki @ViAdvena

Well at least Miko was taking care of things. He looked taller. But still addicted to sweets she thought, looking at the wrapped chocolate in the middle of the table. @kira blackthorn

Then came Ianari and..somebody...His brother? She didn't know. They were close together though. Brother? Hm..Could be then. Sekai prayed he wasn't still as crazy as he was back then. Actually, she hoped Ken, him, and Kenpachi weren't still nuts, but two of the three were already out the window. Now watching the door, a cackle escaped as a blonde-haired boy came in. Well if it isn't mister 'I'm scared to touch girls.' He's kind of cute. Come to think of it, Sekai noticed that all the boys were pretty cute. A devious smile spread across her face at such a bountiful catch. Though it quickly disappeared when remembering what they were there for.

With a sigh, she stood up and yelled,
"EVERYBODY SHUT-UP! Except you Miko. You're fine. BUT THE REST OF YOU! WE HAVE AN ASSIGNMENT TO DO AND DAMNIT YOU'RE NOT GOING TO RUIN THINGS! Kaiyoto! Get up and watch where you walk! Azami! Get over here and have a seat! Kenpachi and Ken you better save it till the day is over and sit your butts DOWN!" Her voice lowered, but still took on a whiny edge. "Miko. Stick some chocolate in your mouth and please have a seat. MINORU! GET YOUR SCAREDY-LITTLE GIRL SELF AND SIT RIGHT NEXT TO ME, NOW."

Towards Ianari, she took a more subtle approach. Though 5 years passed. It was still fresh in her mind that the guy was crazy. Winking and blowing a kiss, she said in a sweet voice, "Yoo-hoo Ianari~ Come sit please? I want to hear ALL about how you've grown big and strong. I love your stories." Looking at Misoko, she gave him a look that said "Keep him in check." @The Doorman

"Now you. You the girl with the blanket. Why are you interrupting our meeting? Nobody invited you. Why would you even be here? Ugh, whatever. Just don't talk okay? Just stay away out of sight and don't talk." @Miyuki

Settling back in her seat, Sekai crossed her legs and began.
"I'll start. I'm older, taller, sexier, softer, and even more beautiful." Giggling, she eyed a few of the boys present. "Wouldn't you agree?"
