the definition of fun

Muse A is at the top of all his classes, while Muse B is the complete opposite. Unlike the study-obsessed male, Muse B is a free-spirited loud mouth. Muse B stumbles upon Muse A while taking a walk in the park. The only reason he spoke to him was to mooch food off of him. After deciding Muse A makes the best lunches, Muse B continues to visit every day in the same spot. But, he soon begins to notice they go to the same school, and he continues to follow him around there too.

Under the shade of the noble tree, shielded by the spring sun, sat Min Sik. His eyes scanned the block of text on his textbox. Something caught his attention, and he smoothed a sticky note onto the page. Across the top of the slip, he wrote the word, important. He often studied at the park, under the same tall, creation of nature. It felt like he got more done when he had no distractions.

A soft sigh escaped him as he looked up from the bulky textbook. He watched as a few people walked down the paved path, the most interesting being a woman walking a stroller. His gaze wandered to the neighborhood garden with a few people tending to it. It was truly a peaceful place. The scenery was beautiful, but he couldn't let his gaze linger for too long. He returned his gaze back to book.

A low stomach growl interrupted his thoughts, and he quickly set down the book. Thankfully, he remembered to pack a lunch in advance before heading outside. Everday, he tried out a new recipe for his mid-day meal. This time it was a Chinese meal; his grandmother taught him it years back. She said her mother showed it to her when she still lived in China. Her cooking skills never failed to impress; she probably should've opened a restaurant in her lifetime.

He opened the box to reveal a pork belly bun paired with an egg custard. Perhaps it was a small meal, but he always made sure to accompany it with a water bottle. He carefully set the container down before looking through his bag to find his napkins and water bottle.

He leaned the water bottle against the tree and spread the napkins onto his lap. Gently he straightened the serviettes out before pulling the food-container into his view. The food looked delicious, and it made his mouth water. His grandmother's recipes never seemed to bore him. The student's mind was always craving for something new, whether it be dishes or academic. Even with that, her dishes never made him think twice about trying something new. youngkyun youngkyun

Working really wasn't Sung Hao's cup of tea. He only wanted to play with his coworkers and have fun, which never went over well with his boss. He didn't know how he hadn't been fired yet if he were to be honest. He slid his apron off and hung it up in the closet all of the workers used, waving goodbye to hid coworkers and headed out of the cafe. Not wanting to head home quite yet, he took a detour towards the park he usually went too. It was his favorite spot to relax and hang out in when he had time, and he often threw pennies into the fountain when he had troubles.

He pushed back his long black hair, his gaze wandering the park as he looked for a place to sit. There weren't many places that were secluded with so many people spread out in the park, so he just picked the nearest tree, plopping down in front of it. He knew this was a bad idea, he WAS wearing white jeans, but he couldn't find a reason to care so he just laid back against the tree. He had noticed the guy on the other side of the tree, and thought about speaking to him, but he noticed the books in front of him and realized he was probably trying to study and he wasn't really looking for conversation. That's what went down in this park most of the time, college kids studying and then Sung Hao trying to talk to them and then getting yelled at.

Sung closed his eyes, basking in the shade of the tree and the brisk breeze flowing through the trees. This was his favorite feeling, peace and happiness. His solitude was ruined though when a familiar scent hit his nose, his mouth watering immediately. It smelled like a dish he loved that reminded him of home. His eyes locked onto the male on the other side of the tree, and eyed the box of food in his hands. His stomach growled involuntarily and he moved towards the guy, crawling on hands and knees towards him and plopping down beside him.

"Hi there stranger." He spoke up, still eyeing the food. "I was trying to nap when you brought out the food and made me realize how hungry I was, so I decided to come bother you. I'm Sung Hao." He beamed at him quickly and then looked back at the food. "That looks just like the food I used to eat back in China," He continued, frowning a bit. "It smells really good too. It's making me homesick." He pulled his knees to his chest, leaning back against the tree. "Can I have one bite? I want to see if it tastes like that."

Min Sik was about to enjoy a nice lunch until a foreigner plopped down beside him. He glanced down at his food as the stranger mentioned it. "I'm Min Sik," He muttered with a slightly sour expression. He wasn't too hyped with the stranger intruding on his study session. Names didn't seem to be relevant; the unknown man's focus was clearly on the meal. "It's my grandmother's recipe - it should taste like that." Perhaps, if he just handed the food over, Sung Hao would leave him alone. Dumbly, he handed the box over. "Just have all of it," He sighed.

Be generous for a day. He wouldn't see him ever again, right?

He never had anyone to share his food with, so he was intrigued to see Sung Hao's reaction. Yeah, he may have found him annoying, but that didn't mean he couldn't use him as a critic. He usually just assumed his cooking was good, but this would be the moment of truth. Slyly, he attempted to glance at the foreigner multiple times. Was his dish as delightful as he thought it was?

"I have water too. I guess I won't be needing it either." He pointed to the plastic bottle. Eventually, he returned to his studying session. His eyes roamed the large textbook, and he continued to mark it up with multiple colored sticky notes. Each color meant a different thing.

Hopefully, when Sung Hao was done dining, he'd ditch him. They'd never see or speak to each other again, and he'd never be mooched off of again. Little did he know, that would be the opposite of what his future held. Mooching and conversing would become an often experience in the park. youngkyun youngkyun

Sung could tell he was making this guy uncomfortable and annoyed, but he just shook it off, to into the meal in front of him. "Oh no!" He said instantly. "I won't take all of it, just a bite. This is your meal, I'm just hungry." He hummed in response to the grandmother thing. "Is she Chinese?" He asked curiously. He finally lifted the chopsticks to his mouth, making sure his lips didnt touch them as he dropped the food into his mouth. He chewed slowly, and then his eyes lit up. If hearts could burst from his eyes, they surely would be right now.

"Your grandmother is a legend." He turned to him, his eyes widened. "I haven't had food this good in such a long time. You guys must be great cooks! I have now deemed you the best man I have taken lunch from." He laid his hands on his stomach, handing over the meal. He didn't take any more, since he felt bad in taking this beautiful lunch from someone. "Well, Min Sik, I give you an A plus in cooking." He clapped his hands dramatically, and then glanced at his book.

"Oh shit, you were studying? My bad dude." He scooted away from, balling up his jacket and laying it under his head as he stretched out under the tree, "I'll leave you alone then, but this is the only available tree where there isn't several people so I'll stay over here out of your way and nap. I don't feel like going home." He continued, turning to glance at the male. He studied him for a second, taking in his appearance so he could remember the good chef. Min Sik was definitely handsome, there was no denying this but he wasn't Sung Hao's type. He seemed quiet and studious while Sung Hao was loud and wild, often annoying random strangers when he was bored. He could be misjudging things though, but he didn't dwell on it, flipping onto his back and staring up at the tree, letting his thoughts wander. "If I fall asleep, please wake me before you leave, I'd rather not spend my whole night out here."

Min Sik tried his best to hide his smile. He was quite proud of himself for being deemed a great cook by a vexatious college student. Perhaps he was getting too egotistical; he wasn't a food critic. But, all opinions mattered, right? You didn't have to be a critic to know good food. Eventually, the compliments ended, and the half-eaten meal was returned to him. He tucked the container back into bookbag; he wouldn't want to indulge in an indirect kiss, or was he being childish?

He nodded slowly; it took Sung Hao that long to notice he was studying? A somewhat irritated sigh left him, and his eyes retreated to his textbook. It took less than five seconds before his orbs were back on the stranger. "Yeah, I'll wake you up." His gaze lingered for a few moments. The Chinese man looked so young, and he wondered how old he was. But, his question wasn't answered; by the time he opened his mouth, Sung Hao was sleeping. He supposed it was better that way.

The rest of his study session went pleasantly. The nature around him swung softly with the breeze. People's voices just a whisper as he engrossed himself in the book. It was peaceful. His flipped the paper to the next page.

By now, an hour had passed, and Min Sik felt it was best to leave. He packed up his backpack with the few remaining items still out. The student glanced towards the sleeping male before scooting over towards him. "Uh..." He began as he slowly reached out to nudge him. "I'm leaving now, so you should probably get up." He knew he was being too quiet. Sung Hao just looked so peaceful, and he didn't want to ruin it.

"Hey," He spoke up before gently shaking him. "Wake up." youngkyun youngkyun
