Okay guys, first thing is first- I'm sorry for such a ridiculously long absence, my little sister spilled milk on our router and we had to get a new one, so I couldn't post anything from my tablet where I do all my work on the RP. We're not dead or anything, unless you guys want to be, in which case I understand because the absence was ridiculous. However, I'm very much up for continuing if you guys are, so if you're all still on board, then we can pick up the pace real quick as I'm off for the rest of today.

By being a toddler and knocking over my fathers desktop monitor by pulling the cords behind it. It was pretty much a domino effect with a broken glass, milk everywhere, and a crying baby.

We are, and soon, as soon as the overview is finished. Things got busy with school stuff last night and I wasn't home until 11, however tonight is the night that I'll finish everything up as I have enough time to after everything today. We're closing in quickly on beginning, don't worry.

This group is probably the most patient players I've ever seen. Normally, when the rp takes months to prepare, the whole thing tends to fall apart rather quickly.

This is where all your patience and effort pays off guys. We'll kick the RP off with the weekend, and I'll be posting the first post mid afternoon tomorrow.


This also means this is your last chance to run an Idea through. Or point out something we may be missing. If you guys feel it is needed, we can also hold out for a few more people. The time between now and the starter post is last-chance for everything.


Also, I'd like everybody to check out the rules board and point out anything they feel needs to be mentioned, as well as scan the entire overview. Second opinions'll improve it.

Anyway, jokes aside, do we have any criminal criminal factions going on? I know we have MERC with the mercenaries, the Raven Syndicate with their...spies? information whatevers, the BURN with the terrorists, and the Red Princess (who, may I point out, is a player) with her pirates. However, we don't have a faction that commits crimes for the sake of committing crimes. Maybe an intergalactic mafia family or something like that...maybe.


I also noticed that my illegal market idea didn't make it through onto the lore. Are the illegal markets all going to be controlled by one faction (probs Raven Syndicate or MERC) or is it something just there, like it's there with nobody supporting it or running it behind the scenes?

The illegal markets won't be controlled by one faction, rather most of the underground criminal groups will have their hand in a portion of the markets themselves, oftentimes leading to conflicts of deals, rights to turf, etc.


And as for the group doing crime for the sake of it, BURN is intended to fill that role, as a group of criminals. They work off of terrorism to help further personal deals and motives, and are all common criminals/space mobsters/drug dealers in their free time. The main founding point if their alliance is that they all hate governing bodies such as the OIGA and the United Dominions. Flimsy cause, but criminals were never the most morally loyal anyways, right?

From rule#7, why don't we just elect a temporary contingency GM now (simultaneously starting the rp of course, not wanting to be held up any longer.)? That way, if you suddenly disappear without any notice and no approval for an temporary gm election is given (death in rl, arrested for some reason etc. *Not meaning any distrust*), the thread won't just die off. Got to plan for any possible emergencies, you know.
