The Day We Remember

So Basically I have a Role play right now that was originally meant to be a short story that I wrote once but I refined the ideas and made it anew. The story of the rp is set several years after a war that has happened but I also decided that I wanted to take it a little further and create a novel for the events before hand, This will be that Novel and hopefully this will also provide some information and background to the role play.

Prolouge:

100 billion bc... Within the depths of Oblivion a thought was created. This thought said life and so a creature known as the Arch Sage was born. The Arch Sage was powerful, but he had nothing to rule over, so he created a palace within Oblivion. But yet he didn't feel as if it was complete, he still needed something to rule, so he created his son's known as the Sage's. But he still felt like he kept them too confined so he gave them each a world of their own known as Universes. But his sons were not content with this, they wanted to rule as well. Like their father, they had children known as Sovereign and gave them each a world of their own known as Galaxies. And they were the same, they had sons known as Deva's.

But there was one galaxy that was different, it was ruled by twins, one male and one female. Their galaxy was quite small and they had constant feuds. This brings us to a tale from over 4 billion years ago when the two decided to play a game to end all feuds. It took seven days to create their game board and build their fortress, one in the sky one below the surface. Then the brother created his first two children, named Adam and Eve, he named them Prophets and the sister created her first two children, named Lucifer and Leviathan, She called them Demon Kings (or Queens..). They each possessed special powers that were from a portion of their parents own power.

As the years passed the children went to live in the fortress of their parents and more children were made. There were also many sub species made in the process. The Brother made a species called the Angels and among them were the Arch Angels. The Sister made a species called the Demons and among them were the S-class Demons. Then there were the humans a species among many others that had arisen from the Brother's and Sister's influence. They took to calling the game board Earth. They were deemed very intelligent, so much that their intelligence rivalled that of the Prophets and Demon Kings. But the humans knew nothing of the powers that were possessed by the other species, until the war happened...

Chapter 1:

The wind rustled through the trees on a bright summers morning. As the stars disappeared the sun rose over the hills and began to illuminate the sky with a blazing orange and a brilliant yellow. At the base a tall standing oak tree there sat a man. His Hood was pulled above his head and his eyes were not visible. Yet he had a grim looking smile plastered upon his face. "Sora!" His head shot up at the sound of his name being called. "Sora..." A man reached the top of the hill he was sat upon, panting heavily and wiping the sweat from his forehead. "We're leaving, hurry up if you don't want to get left behind" The man said as he began to turn and go the other way. "Yeah I'm done here any ways..." Sora replied and at the snap of his fingers the tree he was sat by instantly had been cut into several splits and only a gust of wind could be heard


"So where are off to today" Sora asked. "A camp called Fort Basin, it seems that its a gathering place for several mage's, maybe we can find someone to train us" the man said. "This war is only getting worse, it doesn't even seem like the Demons and Angels are fighting any more, it just seems like humanity is taking all the blows nowadays." The man said. They walked down a short, winding path towards an area which had a small amount of smoke arising from it.


The smell of a fresh stew filled the air, accompanied by a large piece of meat being roasted over a fire. A girl bent down and picked up the ladle for the stew and tasted a little. "Wow, it taste so yummy Summer, but it needs a little more salt" she said. " Yeah I'm on it" The other girl, known as Summer said. She quickly walked over and sprinkled a dab of salt into the stew before stirring the stew. She extended the ladle the other girl. Taking a sip the girls eyes lit up. "MAGNIFIQUE" the girl said with a slight French accent. "I'm glad you like it Caroline" Summer said.


"Hey Summer Is our meal almost done" The man shouted out. "Be a little nice or you won't get any Riley" Summer replied. Sora and Riley walked up to Summer. "So where is Joe?" Riley said, "Said he was going to check out the path and see if it was safe" Summer said, "I thought that was him I seen earlier from the top of the hill" Sora replied. The meat was now turning a little black, Caroline sighed and reached her hand out and from it was produced a blast of water that put out the fire.


Joe walked up the path towards the camp they had set up. He walked into the clearing "Ah, Finally some food" He said. "So what Does the path look like" Riley asked. "It looks pretty clear I never seen anybody or anything on it" he replied. Reaching his hand out, Joe grabbed the ladle from the pot and began to pour soup into a bowl he took out of one of the many cargo bags they had laid around. He began taking small spoonfuls and sipping on it. They rest joined in not long after.


As they finished eating the group embarked on their journey. Joe began picking up bags and strapping them to his back. He then strapped his sword to his belt. Caroline took a back pack filled with food and she had a shot gun strapped onto it. Riley carried the most bags and only had weighted gloves on his hands. Summer wore a two pistols hanging by either thigh strapped to the belt of her denim shorts. Sora had a couple bags with him and several concealed daggers beneath his jacket and his face was, as always, hidden by his hood.


Walking down the path through a small forest the group seemed to always be on the look out. "It's strange you know not one single person or animal around" Summer said. "Yeah I know, but who cares it makes for easier travel" Joe said. The group emerged from the forest and onto the hard paved road. "Hey remember when there use to be cars and vehicles constantly flooding these road ways. My father use to always take me out on drives" Riley said. "Yeah I know, my parents were always travelling around for work so I was always on the road with them" Caroline said. Sora looked up to the sky. "Now you'd be lucky to find a car that even works" he said.


The group continued walking suddenly the sky grew dark and turned red and a bright flash emerged from the sky. "What the hell! there is a Demon and a Angel coming to the area at the same time!" Summer shouted....


In a field not far from the group a battle between two enormous forces was about to start. The bright light hit the each with a magnificent force and From the ground spewed lava and a dark figure arose from it. Glowing brightly what appeared to be a man stepped forward. "Sister, let us end this here and now" he said. The dark figure which appeared to be a girl stepped forward."With pleasure brother" She said. The two lunged at each other. Blasts of magic were sent flying everywhere causing explosions and great pressure in the atmosphere. Then there was blood shed, they stabbed each other with their weapons. Their blood mixed into the soil they stood on and gave life to a new being, a Deva created between the two of them, one far more superior than other Deva's, one with the power of a Sovereign. Both Sovereigns fled the scene.


The group approached several hours later on the battle field but there was not a soul in sight just total destruction. "What happened here?" Caroline said. "This place is a mess" Sora stated. Then out of no where the sky turned dark and red once again. "Another Demon!" Said Riley. As he said it from the earth rose a giant figure about 3 times the size of a human. The group looked up in fear. "T-T-TROLL!!!!" shouted Summer. The Beast Roared and began to make its way towards the group. Riley went into defensive position but... "It- It stopped" he said. Blood began to run down it's forehead. Then suddenly blood shot from it's body down through a straight cut that went all the way through him. The beast split right down the middle and from behind it the group could see the piecing eyes of a man sheathing his sword on his back.


Forsaken by his mother, Forsaken by his father, he was known as the Demon Prophet.
