This roleplay would not have been possible if it wouldn't have been for the help I've received from various people on this site. The advice I've gotten is invaluable, a big thanks to all of you!

PAST.png
Hitler's armies had conquered Poland, Norway, Holland and Belgium in quick succession. Next the Nazi blitzkrieg overwhelmed France and the British Army was forced to retreat from Dunkirk. Adolf Hitler stood just as Napoleon had stood, more than a hundred years before and looked across the English Channel to the one fighting obstacle that stood between him and world domination, Great Britain. The preliminaries were over, it was time for the main event.

On the 16th of July, 1940 Adolf Hitler issued directive 16, the order to prepare an invasion of Great Britain.
Hitler spent the next six weeks planning the invasion and occupation of Britain, it was codenamed Operation Sea Lion. Hitler knew that if he could obtain air superiority, they could launch an invasion.
During August and September the Luftwaffe fought the Royal Air Force over southern England. First the Luftwaffe knocked out the radar stations, airfields and factories. Next they took on the fighters until there were no fighters left. With air superiority over the English Channel, the Nazis were ready to launch Operation Sea Lion.

10,000 German Paratroopers landed on the south coast of England, the Home Guard were no match for these elite troops and the port of Dover was captured. The Nazi Stormtroopers had a foothold on Britain and they were here to stay. 80,000 soldiers and 4,000 tanks crossed the English Channel, they landed in three waves on a wide front and before the British could react the Nazis secured a beachhead. The British Army launched a counter-attack but fleeing civilians, a lack of artillery and harassment by the Luftwaffe drove them into retreat. Central London was destroyed in a massive air raid, Winston Churchill was killed by a direct hit on the war rooms. The nation mourned whilst the advancing Germans seemed unstoppable. The remnants of the British Army along with the government fled to Worcester to make a final stand. The royal family were evacuated to Canada.
German troops marched in to London, the last beacon of freedom was extinguished in Europe. Adolf Hitler reigned supreme.

PRESENT.png
Sporadic fighting continues around the government stronghold in Worcester but in the city, a strange calm reigns over London. Walther von Brauchitsch's well disciplined troops have spent the last two weeks clearing up the capital and British shopkeepers are making record profits. It seems as if the Nazis are trying to charm the British in to submission, but charm was just the first part of von Brauchitsch's strategy. He issued the most secret directive for the military government in England, behind the velvet glove laid an iron fist.

Field Marshal Walther von Brauchitsch, Military Commander of Great Britain orders the deportation of almost two million prisoners of war to camps on the continent. Whilst wives, mothers and children weep, the men are taken to specially prepared camps outside Paris where they will remain as hostages for the duration of the war.
Dr. Franz Six arrives in London, he is accompanied by the elite Einsatzkommando. This is the secret Nazi death squad assigned to Great Britain. Over the next two weeks they will kill more than 2,000 people in an operation that Dr. Six has been planning for more than three months. They commandeer the Dorchester Hotel, over the coming month suite 513 will acquire a notorious reputation. From their new headquarters the Einsatzkommando begin their reign of terror. On the first day of operations, 44 prominent Londoners are dragged from their homes. Amongst them is the entertainer and playwright NoΓ«l Coward who dies while being interrogated. He was number C96 in the Nazi special search list, otherwise known as the Black Book. E.M. Forster, the author of A Passage To India is arrested on charges of homosexuality and deported to Germany. Outspoken Socialist and science fiction writer H.G. Wells is fatally wounded trying to escape the Gestapo. Bohemian novelist Virginia Woolf drowns herself rather than face interrogation by the Nazis. Oxford University is purged by the SS, over 20,000 books are burnt outside the Bodleian Library and 17 academics are arrested. Among them is philosopher Bertrand Russell who is killed as he struggles to put out the flames.

Armistice, the war is officially over. Lord Halifax meet Walther von Brauchitsch in the town of Leamington Spa where they sign the armistice agreement. The Germans will retain direct control of London and the south east while Lord Halifax will administer the rest of Britain. A compliant government and police force is in place.

Freemasonry is declared illegal in Britain, the Grand Lodge is ransacked and 80 high-ranking Freemasons are deported to concentration camps. The 20,000 foreign jews interned on the Isle of Man are deported to concentration camps in Eastern Europe. The official line is that they're being repatriated, but unknown to the British public they will never leave these camps alive.
The first anti-jewish legislation is enacted in Britain, jewish businesses and individuals are identified by stars and forced to handover their businesses to no-jews and thousands are deprived of their livelihood. The Stepney Ghetto is established in the east end of London. The jewish populations of Liverpool, Manchester and Leeds are forcibly relocated to the capital. Almost 200,000 people are compelled to live in an area less than a mile square.

Art from all over Europe is exhibited in Germany, Hitler calls it the greatest exhibition of its kind in the world. Greek statues from the British museum and other sculptural highlights. But in fact the event is an elaborate deception to distract Hitler's communist allies. Two days later he launches Operation Barbarossa and the Nazi war-machine attacks the Soviet Union.

PLOT.png
"510 days, 12 240 hours, 734 400 minutes... ...it's been one year, four months and 25 days since we surrendered in Worcester, leaving the future of our country in the hands of Adolf Hitler. I know I'm not the only one in here who fought in France, I know I'm not the only one who's lost loved ones, and I'm absolutely certain that I'm not the only one who's had enough! It's okay to be afraid, we all are. But has the last word been said? Must hope disappear? Is defeat final? No! Britain has lost a battle, but has not lost the war! Whatever happens, the flame of the British resistance must not be extinguished and will not be extinguished! God save the King, by order of The Crown!"

As the German forces have been marching on the British streets, a resistance has been growing under their feet. When the first bombs hit London one and a half year ago, an old abandoned underground tunnel was discovered in the outskirts of the city. People were quick to seek shelter there and it didn't take long before it became a stronghold for opposers of the German occupation.
The British freedom fighters found in London call themselves The Crown, in honor of King George VI and the British Empire. Founded by veterans of the war shortly after their defeat. For the last year they have been recruiting men and women to join the fight against the oppressors. Their stronghold houses approximately 350 people, amongst them are men, women and children. However, the number's constantly increasing as the The Crown's expanding day by day. For too long they have been preparing and waiting, it's finally time to make themselves heard.

You're part of the British resistance known as The Crown. Are you a veteran? A shopkeeper? Maybe a jew who managed to escape the massive deportation? It's all up to you!
Come join The Crown as we bring the Nazis to their knees!

I want everyone involved to be part of the plotting, come with ideas and make sure we all enjoy this roleplay to the fullest!
Thanks for reading and I hope you enjoyed it!

RULES.png
RESPECT AND ETIQUETTE: Be courteous to others participating in the roleplay. If you plan on leaving the roleplay, please let me know beforehand. If possible, you should also write yourself out of it in character.

GODMODDING/POWERPLAYING/METAGAMING: This is regarded as the ultimate low in Roleplaying, it’s not only unfair but also disrespectful. I’m sure you know what godmodding/metagaming/powerplaying is, if not, I highly suggest you look it up before joining this roleplay.

BASIC ENGLISH IS YOUR FRIEND: Proper grammar, spelling and punctuation is very important. I’m not asking for A+ English as it’s not even my first language, but basic knowledge of the English language is a requirement.

CONTENT IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN LENGTH: I won’t ask for a five page essay for each post. I’ll simply say, two paragraphs is more than enough to satisfy me. This is a semi-literate roleplay.

BE REASONABLE AND REALISTIC: You do not have unlimited ammunition/grenades, do not β€œRun N’ Gun” and remember, there’s always a bigger gun. Try to be as realistic as possible, I do not want anyone to go all β€œRambo” on us. Also, you must use realistic faceclaims.

EVERY ACTION HAS A REACTION: While it’s easy to disregard things in a roleplay-setting, everything you do has consequences or some effect on the world around you.

KEEP THE DRAMA INSIDE THE ROLEPLAY: I do not want any drama outside of the roleplay, please. However, feel free to bring it in to the actual roleplay.

You absolutely must follow these rules and the rules of Roleplaynation.

I'm glad to see this getting so much interest since it's honestly a pretty fun premise.
