In The Court of Blades, every role player plays an important part in the dealings of the goblin empress-aspirant. You are her most trusted companion. Your mission, is to keep her safe, and to escort her to the heart of the Greenskin empire, liberate the provinces from the warring brothers, and to usher an age of prosperity and peace that may one day become much greater than Carolingian's rule.
First and foremost, is your name, race and gender. You have complete freedom to customize your name and what you want to become. However, take precautions as The Court of Blades' lore dictates that for different races, societies, and events in the continent, discrimination may or will occur, whether through misogyny, sexual harassment, or racism; the societies portrayed in the game will affect your experience drastically based on your choices.
Then, your backstory. Who you are will most likely depend on what your race have done in the continent and beyond the oceans. However, you have free reign to become who you want to be, and who you were, and your personal opinions in recent events.
By choosing your race, you will also be choosing your secondary goal in the story: To gain a seat in the Court of Blades, and to finally achieve your race's agenda. If the princess is finally recognized as the empress, she will also perform various duties that will benefit the goals of those who sit in her court. See to it that the will of your people will be done, even if you have to manipulate or fight the other members of the court for it.
Let you be reminded that the Court of Blades pays no host to magic, for there is no magic throughout the empire apart from the tricks of theater performers. You must trust in your faith, and steel than legends and myths. gunpowder and iron flows as the lifeblood of the continent, and it is your responsibility to grasp it.
You can also check the lore thread for additional information and guides in character creation. Your imagination is your freedom.

In Court of Blades, the empire plays host to a variety of races. Each with their own agendas, methods of war, and personalities.
The Greenskin empire
The Goblin provinces of Uberkrieg - a civilization of greenskins the size of adolescents believed to be formed from the shavings off the anvil of the god of craftsmanship Merwin himself, given life through his breath. They are the bastion of hope, courage, and will throughout the empire. Their first settlement in the continent is nothing more than being thrown face-first into a world of natural horrors, storms, and conflict with the other settlements before. But, despite their only advantage being their excellence in technology and nothing more over their inhuman rivals - not even size, as Merwin seemed to have deprived them even of that - they manage not only to survive but to thrive throughout history, forging a place for themselves through sheer force of will, courage and tenacity. The goblin companies of the war-band pride themselves in advanced weaponry and strategies for insurmountable odds . Should they find themselves seated in the new Court of Blades, their will is to decipher the great plans of the late goblin Empress Carolingian III and usher in an age of prosperity in the empire. With the actions of their late empress, they have great diplomatic relations with every race in the empire, however, because of the disconnection between the empire and the New Plains of Ethianopia, they suffer diplomatic penalties for the fair-skin races. The goblins are the first to have perpetuated the idea of gender equality in their provinces.
The Nordic Orc holds of Jorsca - great humanoid greenskins crafted into life by the goddess of vengeance and hunting Valeria herself, they seek to hunt and conquer the greatest quarry there is, to satisfy the blood thirst of their suffering goddess. They believe in a good hunt, and a glorious death to enter the realms of Jotungharde - their version of the afterlide. They settled into the continent way back before the appearance of Goblins, hunting the most dangerous prey that surrounded their settlements. A long conflict started between the Orcs and the settling Goblins, where the continent was plunged into perpetual war. It was through the actions of Empress Carolingian III that the two races found peace and prosperity together. The orc companies of the war-band are masters of close combat and rely on raiding strategies. Through the Court of Blades, they aim to uncover the mysteries of Valeria's scrolls of grudges, and right every wrong that was done to her, all in the name of their goddess. Because of the lore of Valeria emphasizes the wrongs done to her by the Goddess of the Elves Lileayana, Orcs suffer diplomatic penalties with the elves. Through the actions of the goblin empress, they gain diplomatic bonuses with their Goblin companions, even to the point of getting positive effects just by remaining in close proximity with their smaller greenskin kin. Orcs also have tremendous respect for women as they play important roles in their society in warfare, politics, and religious aspects.
Nomad Ogres of the Marren Dessert - paler greenskins that traverse the vast sea of sand in the south of the empire. Worshiping a pantheon of gods and goddesses that govern their everyday life. While most live in camps scattered all throughout the desert, the ogres do have a simple piece of civilization. The city of Kanag that surrounds the great sea of Galea. They live a simple life, honoring their gods of agriculture with their simple import of grain, bran, and alcohol. Pioneers of the writing system, as well as mathematics, the nomads can be considered more civilized than some of the other races. They were one of the few who were inducted into the empire organically through treaties and agreements, officially culminating in the confederation between the empire and the nomads. The nomads within the war band are expert marksmen, while some rely on speed and guile to evade attacks. The choice, of shield and spear, to exotic bows is at an ogre's command. Ogres, are peacekeepers, and what other race to be at odds with than the savage, vengeful orcs? Fair-skin culture interests the ogres, granting them a big boon in diplomacy with the inhabitants of Ethianopia. The seat in the Court of Blades, allows them resources to finally search for their next Khasaf, leader of the Ogres. Who knows what they can accomplish with a mighty leader at their side?
The desert society of the nomads are a patriarchal society. Women could not have important positions in administration, and are excluded from owning property or legal power. The only way a woman can hold a position in royal affairs, is through the relationship with a a male noble.

(Hi SPICYNOODLES here, responsibilities seem to eat up a lot of my time, so the character creation guide will stop here. I promise I will be able to finish this so that I can move on to lore and gameplay systems. Then, I can start recruiting people for the RP. Thanks again everyone!)
