Nevaeh wasn't aware that earth had been overrun by 7 demons. When she came back from exploring the ocean, she was surprised at how run-down everything looked. "W-what happened?!" She said roaming the streets. She wasn't even capable of knowing the dangers that Lie ahead of her.
She then realizes how abandoned the city she was currently in was. She runs to her room and put her armor on. She sheathes her sword and puts the Kusari- Gama behind her. "Hmm... Are we being attacked?" She said to herself as she walked out of the building. "I'm glad I have my armor... Just in case I guess..."

Water no longer ran from its sculpted spouts and the pool below that was contained within the waist-high wall was only several inches filled with tepid and stagnant rain water from the thunderstorms that had passed through earlier in the week.

She turned a slow circle and sighed as she glanced over the long abandoned buildings. Yet another town and nothing of any value, Penelope thought. The buildings, at least, had offered sufficient shelter from the intense storms but little else. Any food had long spoiled; however, scraps of clothing and blankets had been a welcome find. The eerie silence of the town unnerved her. After three other such towns, Penelope had thought to be over the hush, but jittery nerves kept her on edge and she hadn't slept well in weeks.

The temperature had dropped precipitously and she wrapped both cloak and her new-found wool blanket around her body. Fortunately, the wind that had preceded the storms had also left with them. Penelope was grateful for the stillness of the air, regardless of how spooky it had made the town feel. At least it wasn't biting through her clothes and forcing her back indoors from the sting of the wind.

She picked a direction at random from the town center, bade a silent fare-thee-well to the ancient fountain and started to walk. Her katanas were held tight to her body as she pulled the blanket closer around and tried to settle into its warmth.

Penelope traveled half of the distance out of town, when to her surprise another girl stepped out of the door of one of the houses. She was dressed in armor which caused Penelope's eyebrow to arch up in fascination. Another survivor? She wondered. Penelope stopped, stood her ground and waited for the girl to notice her.

Nevaeh was ravaging out some of the houses... Though, nothing was found. The wolves had picked the small carcasses of smaller animals clean, leaving her with nothing.

She wandered around as her armor made little noise, attracting no unwanted guests. Her sword scraped the floor making a small trail.

The slight noise from her sword attracted a small rabbit. She followed it into a house, for an unknown reason, she could not find it again.

After a while of rummaging, she managed out some apple bread and some bandages. She was a little less than happy with her finds, but it was better than searching other towns for nothing. She walked out of the current house she was in, looking around, she noticed another girl. ~Another survivor perhaps?~ She thought as she stared at the girl holding her ground. Nevaeh kept her hand on her sword and made sure the Kusari-Gama on her back was adjusted to where she could pull it out any time, even the shurkins in her pocket were easily accessible.

All that was left, was for some one to make a move, whether it be a good or bad, she wouldn't make the first move, nor regret her decision and get hurt.

That the other hadn't pulled any weapons or made any threatening gestures other than to placer her hand on her sword's hilt was a small comfort; perhaps they might both escape this encounter unscathed.

Penelope allowed her hands to drift down to her sides. The blanket that was tightly held around her slipped open and allowed fast and easy access to the hilt of her katana. For her part, Penelope wasn't planning to take any aggressive action, but she wanted the stranger to know that she, too, was armed and willing to fight for her survival. She kept her hands at her sides in a show of non-aggression.

Her eyes darted from side to side as she tried to spy any other strangers who might be hiding in ambush. One on one wasn't too much of a challenge for Penelope, should the situation call for a fight; however, if the numbers suddenly tilted in her opponent's favor ....

"I'm not looking for any trouble," Penelope stated and her voice carried louder and clearer in the crisp air, more so than she had anticipated. "I'm just passing through."

Nevaeh watched the survivor closely. She knew the other girl had a weapon. Who wouldn't? She continued to watch as the girl's blanket slipped from her grasp and her hand move to the Katana in it's hilt. The confidence on Nevaeh's face was surprising as the other girl stated she didn't want trouble. Nevaeh was also passing through, but who knows for how long this girl had been here. After all, Nevaeh just arrived into the knowledge of what the world had become.

"There shouldn't be any trouble. I'm passing through also, but if you have any knowledge of what's going on here, I'd like to know. I've just been ravaging out some stuff, but never knew anything." She said with a clear thundering voice.

The stranger wanted to know what was going on? Hell, Penelope really didn't know what to tell her. She was almost as much in the dark.

"Um," Penelope started and she took a few steps toward the other girl, "as far as I know, this place has been abandoned for some time. I've only been here for a day; I try not to stay in one place for any length of time, lest the demons or their ilk discover me."

She approached the stranger until she was eight or so feet away from her. At this distance, Penelope took a more critical assessment of the girl. They appeared to be about the same age, but Penelope was well aware how life on the run in such extreme circumstances could make younger people much more experienced than they might otherwise appear. The girl who stood before her showed confidence in her stance and Penelope was sure that the weapons on her person were not just for show. The girl must have had some level of proficiency to be carrying them in such fashion.

"My name's Penelope," she said by way of introduction. "Maybe we should go inside where its warmer and get a better idea of what each of us knows?" Penelope glanced around the area suspiciously. "Are you alone, here?"

Isaac is crawling around in the grass searching for survivors to recruit. "No signs of life..." He says to himself as he searches the field that was once New York. He spots a group of three people and walks over "Hello??? Are you hostiles?" he asks as they turn towards him "Stay back!" the man with the gun says "Its alright. I'm not here to hurt anyone. You look injured, do you need assistance?" he asks as the men lower the guns "Yeah. One of them cut my leg pretty bad... I need a bandage but that's it." Isaac signals them to follow him as he walks to his base "This is the resistance base. I will show you to the med bay and help you along. By the way, i'm Isaac. And you are?" he asks as they walk to the med bay "Im Gray this is David and she's Valery." they introduce themselves as they open the door to the med bay "Nice to meet you." He puts David on a table and fixes up his leg " The bleeding stopped but its broken. You have to stay here to recover or they might kill you while you're injured. "Yeah i guess you're right..." he says "I think me and Val are going to stay in here with David." He says. "Okay. You should be healed in 4-5 weeks."
