the oldest member of the council, being almost 2,063 years old. amunet sayeed was a nomarch to cleopatra before becoming a vampire during the war between egypt and rome. she roamed europe alongside gaius, the first vampire, before emigrating to new york. now as a senior council member, she runs the technology sector, being the CEO of the sayeed corporation that is responsible for a clean-water initiative and a green-energy project. said corporations' sole priority is to save the planet. ─ 0 clan members.

the youngest member of the council, jolene asema is 150 years old. before her years as a vampire, she was an exotic dancer at a club known as the crimson veil. being the last one to be turned by gaius augustine, jolene discovered her place in new york as a fashion designer and club owner. she is unpredictable, hedonistic, and dangerous while also charming and alluring. the majority of her clan members tend to mirror her lifestyle yet they are very well-known around the city for knowing how to provide a good time. ─ 0 clan members.

xavier reigns were one of many families that were devasted by the revolutionary war. while home recovering from a leg injury, an opposing side attacked him and his entire family, leaving his wife and child dead, and him close to death. reigns was found and turned by gaius, leading him to become a vampire in debt for having his life saved. while he would have rather died than live being immortal, xavier was stuck being bound to eternal life. sometime after, he followed gaius to new york city and became the head of reigns financial before becoming one of the six council members. ─ 0 clan members.

ruling the streets with an iron fist in the 1920's prohibition era, samael enoch was the greatest and most feared gangster before he was turned into a vampire by gaius. emigrating to new york alongside gaius only added to the power he had over the heads of the streets, not only making him physically unstoppable but more infamous than ever. the enoch clan, along with their leader, are almost always behind every bit of organized crime that occurs within the city. samael was only invited to join the council board in order to avoid war with him and have him as an enemy. ─ 1 clan member.

born in the 15th century, cecil bane was a mischievous and sly man keen on becoming one of riches. he often stole what valuables he could and conned his way into getting more for his buck until gaius promised him a better life in exchange for his eternal loyalty. after being turned into a vampire, cecil joyously wandered the world side by side with gaius until they emigrated to new york for a fruitful and safe life. now, bane is the head of commerce and even though he no longer needs to con his way into getting funds, he enjoys dabbling back to his past on occasion. clan bane members are just that too, charming yet pickpocketers who commit insanely petty crimes. (they're like younger siblings getting into trouble). ─ 0 clan members.

before succumbing to vampirism, mateo adonis was a dictorial spanish noble who had a penchant for tyranny. he was known as sir mateo adonis, confirming his noble birth. gaius augustine turned him so they could work side by side throughout europe before he was brought to new york city to join the council. his dictatorial ways carried over after becoming senator, often using his charm and good looks to get what he wants. him, along with the rest of clan adonis, often have people eating out of their hand but they are far from trustworthy. blackmail and bribery are common among them. ─ 0 clan members.

【personality】— whispers follow her wherever she travels, tickling her ears and beckoning her to listen. she pays them no mind, letting them glide off of her life water or silk. a phantom to some, a mere glimpse of a flowing dress as it turns a corner or leaves a room. idumea is a woman wrapped in mystery. one will find that getting answers from such a woman would prove to be difficult. her words can be confusing to some, for she can speak in sayings and ramblings that make little sense to the common man. with a head that seems to be permanently floating amongst the cloud, it’s best to not take her seriously. a sense of ethereality seeps from her, carrying herself with a gracefulness that is not quite human. idumea is a woman who knows herself and does not desire to let others in on the knowledge. instead she floats through life, alone but never lonely.

gentle creatures are often targets for those who believe themselves stronger. the world views kindness as weakness and emotions as something to suppress. idumea has had her runs in with those types, both alive and dead. they soon find out that she is not timid in the slightest. they mistake her love for peace as fear of conflict. there is a darkness in her that she inherited and wielded when the time was right. she holds grudges and demands justice for all slights against her.

many find it odd, that she is as spiritual as she was when she was alive. beliefs and practices passed down by her family are things that she has refused to let go of. idumea, for all of her ramblings, is quite knowledgeable. with time no longer an issue for her she used it to learn and do the things she never thought possible for someone like her.

❝ HISTORY. ❞
【 background 】— idumea was a child lucky enough to be born who she was. as the child of two freed people of color she was given opportunities that many of her counterparts did not have. seneca village was something of a safe haven for colored people and immigrants, the remote location provided freedom from discrimination and more space than what was provided in the city. it was an ideal location for her little family of three.

her family had made quite the name for themselves in their little community. her mother was a talented seamtress who was sought out for the beautiful clothing she crafted while her father worked as landscaper and farmer. It was safe to say that they were well off. in fact, they made enough money to hire a maid to help around their home.

idumea was a lively little girl who would often spend her time outdoors, getting into things that she shouldn’t. her love for nature did not go unnoticed by her parents and so she would spend time with her father as a result. little idumea would sometimes travel with her father for work and her love only grew.

tragedy first appeared when they were forced to leave their home behind. everything that she knew and loved had been torn down in favor of a measly park. and when the dust finally settled tragedy hit once again as her father was drafted to serve in the civil war. the family exchanged letters until his death at the hands of enemies. things were never the same after that.

it honestly happened out of nowhere. idumea was taken from her home in the dead of night. snatched while her mother was sound asleep in her own room. from then on her life became a thing of misery. it was soon revealed to her that she had been taken to the south, taken by a creature who had learned of her from her father. a being who pretended to be a friend to a dying man. idumea was to be his wife and there was no escape for her, not even in death.

when she’d woken up from what she assumed to be her end, she was confused and so very hungry. idumea ended up attacking a slave who had been shoved into her room. for a long time she saw herself as a monster, attempting to starve herself much to the annoyance and displeasure of her “husband”. With the passage of time she began to grow numb and accepted her fate. That was until something triggered a spark inside of her and she snapped. She killed the monster who had stolen her life and burned his domain to the ground, setting all of those within free.

By the time she had returned to New York her mother had perished of an unknown sickness, many speculated that it was a broken heart. with no attachments idumea spent much her of time traveling and slaying those just as vile as the one who killed her. that was until the clans formed and she was forced to join.
