A Faded Ghost
When a distant kingdom recently lost its King, the young princess and her twin brother took control. The circumstances surrounding the King's death seemed suspicious, but that was quickly forgotten about. This was because, neither twin wanted to be in charge if their sibling wasn't. This led to them both taking the throne, the 16 year old siblings ruling side by side as King and Queen. The monarchy rules of this kingdom worked in the same way as those of the real world British monarchy - should the ruling King or Queen get married, their spouse would become Prince or Princess - so the twins' titles wouldn't cause any confusion.
The main problem was... Well, the new Queen had always been a little on the crazy side. Her brother balanced that out with his serious nature, but he still listened to his sister, seeing as she was a few minutes older. Her craziness led to a few crazy new laws. Mainly to do with chocolate and magik, but laws nonetheless. This caused a little unrest among the citizens, who questioned such a young, seemingly immature Queen on the throne, but no one really voiced these concerns, apart from the anti-monarchists who wanted rid of the royal family in general. Besides, it wasn't exactly bad, the Queen was most fun monarch they had ever had.
The young Queen's love for those who could combine chocolate and magik had always been well-known, and for her 16th birthday, she was gifted with a zoo, filled with all manner of chocolate animals, kept in the castle gardens. The story begins with the Queen allowing the citizens to view her private zoo for the first time, a month after she and her brother took over.

Rules
- Firstly and foremost, no god-modding. That includes no auto-hitting, meta-gaming, or overpowered characters.
- As an extension of the first rule, no killing off characters without their writer's permission. There shouldn't be any reason for characters to be dying, so this shouldn't be a problem.
- Please write in past tense, third person. This is to stop things becoming confusing, as that is how most people write.
- In addition, please have decent spelling and grammar. Again, this helps to stop things from becoming confusing.
- Please write a minimum of at least two paragraphs (or ten sentences) per reply, and please try to post a reply at least once a week. I understand if you cannot, as I understand that life gets in the way, but if you will be inactive for an extended period of time, please let me know.

Kami has always been a little bit crazy, ever since she was young. She’s a happy-go-lucky lucky girl, always seen to be cheerful and carefree. Nothing seems to be able to break her mood. In fact, the only times she has been seen to be unhappy were when her mother died when she was ten, and more recently when her father died.
She is a naturally silly person, which has led to many of the kingdom’s citizens viewing her as immature, not necessarily someone fit to rule a kingdom. Her silliness is evident in her every day behavior, and the laws she has put into place in the short time she’s been in charge. She's forever trying to get her brother to do silly things with her, but she rarely managed to actually convince him to. Her silliness makes her seem naïve, stupid, which tends to lead to people thinking they can take advantage of her and her kind nature. This is not the case, however, as she is smarter than she appears. She knows how to deal with stuff in her own way; although, she is not the best at handling serious things.
Despite all of her craziness and silliness, Kami is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She loves animals, and is friendly towards everyone she meets. One main thing, that either annoys people, or makes them warm to her, is the fact she’s a hugger. She will hug anyone and everyone she meets, usually, unless her brother is there.
Appearance
Kami stands at five and half feet, a slim girl with fair skin. She has light blonde hair, and her pale violet eyes have flecks of golden yellow.
She always wears brightly colored dresses, usually with something shiny. Her favorite thing to wear is a purple dress her brother gave her several years ago when he visited a nearby kingdom with their father. Always seen around her neck is necklace that once belonged to her late mother. Whilst Kami does have a crown, she doesn't like to wear, as she sees it as far too serious. She much prefers to wear her tiara, golden and covered in pale purple jewels.
History
The first-born, Kami had always been expected to become queen. From the moment she was born, she was waited on hand and foot, treated as if she was already in charge. She wasn't a big fan of this. From the very beginning, it was clear that she was somewhat crazy. Not in necessarily a bad way, but in a way that made her seem immature and constantly silly. The castle staff found this adorable, and loved the way she was always happy.
The first time she was truly unhappy, almost depressed even, was when her mother died. She hasn't been told why, the castle doctor said it was best as most thought she wouldn't be able to deal with it. All she knew was that her mother was really ill, and then one day she was no longer there. This made her become rather withdrawn, not the happy girl everyone was used to seeing, as she had been so close to her mother. Her brother did everything he could to cheer her up, but eventually sat her down and told her exactly what had happened. This helped her understand it better, and she slowly became her cheerful self once more.

He is a very intelligent individual, having been tutored by many scholars from a young age. This intelligence is something that can make him seem sometimes rather aloof. He knows everything there is to know about the kingdom, as well as many of the surrounding kingdoms, and is the first to correct others when they get facts wrong.
Although it does not always seem like it, Zakari cares very much for his sister. He is quick to jump to her defense when he overhears people talking bad about her, and once even resorted to physical violence when a visiting dignitary from another kingdom put his hands in the wrong place when dancing with her.

He is seen mostly in simple trousers and a shirt, as he finds that much more comfortable than more traditional ‘royal’ clothing. Just like his sister, he doesn't like to wear his crown. In fact, the only visible sign of his status is the ring he wears on his right pinky finger, a golden band with a large red gem that belonged to his father.

This didn’t mean he was treated any different, though. Growing up, he received anything he wished for. Zakari used this opportunity to request the brightest scholars from across the lands as his teachers. From the age of about four, he was deeply invested in his studies, and it was clear that he was an intelligent boy.
When he and his sister were ten, their mother tragically passed away after a long battle with an unknown illness. After this, their father shut himself away, leaving Zakari to take care of his sister. The pair grew closer, and hardly spent time apart. Even while studying, he made sure Kami was close, often finding little facts that he knew she would find interesting. Anything to keep her happy.
Several years after the death of their mother, their father eventually returned to his usual self. This meant that Zakari was able to once more do his own thing. He traveled to nearby and distant kingdoms, eager to learn as much as he could.
The day after he returned from his most recent trip, his father was found dead. This threw the entire castle into disarray, as Kami refused to take the throne, and nothing anyone did could convince her. It was Zakari who suggested to her that they both should rule, and she agreed. Since then, he has been in charge of the more serious aspects of ruling the kingdom, while making sure that it doesn't become too overwhelming for his sister.
Extra
A little known fact about Zakari is that, as well as being extremely intelligent, he is also very artistic. This is a trait he shares with his sister, although he prefers doing simple sketches of nature and people.
He is also rather good at fighting, although he claims to be a pacifist.

She's lived a pretty normal simple life and doesn't really ask more she's pretty satisfied. She has her family and friends who are alive and healthy she really couldn't ask for more. Though she won't admit it Lalia does have a secret dream. She's always fantasized about being a singer. She loved watching the singers that would come to palace events or festivals that were in town. The women were also always beautiful which she knew she probably never look like them plus these women tended to come from rich families. She's also always wanted to learn piano but has never had the chance. Plus she was pretty sure staff wasn' suppose to be messing around with it. Kurt is often known to travel to ally countries and discuss trade deals and matters of the economy with other royals.

A couple of freckles are present across the bridge of his nose. He also bears jade green eyes, though his right eye is often covered with a patch of sorts. Years ago he had unfortunately lost is in a hunting accident while on horse back. Kurt often wears some form of royal garb, usually in shades of yellow and navy blue. The right side of his uniform is often littered with badges, usually a red sash pulls the entire ensemble together. White gloves and calf-high boots are also worn with his outfits.

Kurt has somewhat of a short temper, and known to get incredibly aggressive if disrespected. Though he often remains calm and courteous, as well as respectful towards staff that serves him. He also seems to have a few sadistic characteristics to him. Kurt deeply enjoys theatrical arts, as well as riding on horseback.
