The Cat's Cradle {CLOSED}

New Year's Eve is usually a quiet time of the year for the families associated with criminal intentions. A time to bury the hatchet with rivals for the final moments of the existing year and begin renewed thirst for power and most of all money. One family in particular, the Kalpar family were enjoying the company of smaller mafia rings. They close friends you could say or potential suitors for one special girl, Ramona Kalpar, future heir to Kalpar family. She's strong-willed, independent woman with a sense of family values. The small brow woman all dressed in Balmain golden hues and intricate details. She listened to the suitors amusing anecdotes, swirling her glass of pure golden champagne. They were all very charming, because they were all trained to be. She appreciated that, but there was an overwhelming hungry for more. They all come from smaller family that have little to no experience in the big pond. Choosing someone like that is just asking to destroy all her family struggled for. Ramona grimaced to herself at the thought. She needed someone like herself who's hunger never goes unquenchable like a wolf.

Once the men gave up their efforts for the day, Ramona snuck off into a private bar to have a stronger drink or two. Later on a couple of her close cousins accompanied her and suggested a crazy scheme, crashing the Prieto's party since theirs weren't going so well. Ramona debated as throughly as she could, but since she was a little buzzed it wouldn't do her much justice. It was agreed, they were going try to attempt the impossible.

The Prieto New Years Eve Party was held at The Cat's Cradle every year, since Samuel began organizing it. His parents would attend some other, more elegant party with their older peers while Samuel would plan an out-of-this-world event with his cousins. The club was huge, with three different floors. Two levels for dancing and drinking, one for... Other business. Samuel knew how to throw a party. Of course, his father was never thrilled with it - especially since it involved families of other decent besides Spanish. If Samuel knocked up a girl who was not Spanish, his father would have his head. But Samuel wasn't that stupid. He just wanted to have fun.

After dancing vigorously with a curvy blonde, Samuel excused himself to the bar. He was parched. Ordering a gin tonic, he took a deep breath and looked over his masterpiece. He was certainly living the life that he dreamed over.

The Cat's cradle, a threshold of Prieto's young adults and close peers. Despite the soothing numbness of the alcoholic beverages she consumed earlier, there was a genuine sinking feeling when her heels made contact with the concrete of the club. As if something in the universe is foreshadowing the impending future, and for the most part it doesn't look good. Her cousins stared at Ramona and laughed drunkenly. They all reinsured her, "It'll be fine," or, "There probably won't be many Prietos there... We think!" Ramona calmed down somewhat and huddled up with a some welcomed guest to possibly blend in better. The bouncer didn't really pay them much mind, which was great because they didn't have a backup plan anyways.

Upon entering the club was quite the inviting party. Everyone was there to have a good time, no worries, just good vibes. Ramona and her small clique of outcasts found no trouble hitting up the dance floor with slow winding of their hips and a sway in step. Not many questioned why the girls were here nor really asked who they were, maybe the others were too distracted by their ",exotic," or enticing dance moves.
