  Alina was born in Marseille, France. A place known for its sunshine. She grew up in a single parent home with her mother, a well known poet and artist. She grew up in a loving and carefree house hold. Her mother being the laid back type, she was someone who loved spending time with her daughter and letting her express herself. The topic of her father was never that important to her, of course she’d asked and her mother had been completely honest.
  
  The two of them had met in an art galary and had hit it off right away. It was not love that they had between them but they cared for one another or rather that’s what her mother thought before he up and left, failing to show up in the delivery room after Alina was born. Because of this Alina had no desire to meet the man that had abandoned them but little did she know that she’d have too.
  
  During a school trip to Athens Alina was gazing at a statue of her Apollo, when suddenly the world turned dark and a beautiful gold. Before her stood the god Apollo and it was then that she was told of her destiny. Alina decided to attend the academy, because small part of her wanted to more about her heritage. virtues & vices: Independent, visionary, versatile and creative: Couple of traits that earned Misha a place in the Brotherhood. Even when he was just mere kid, he showed promise in delivering what was needed and required of him. No questions ask, though he’s got a talent for finding what it is or any information needed (thanks to his special ability). His perseverance, determination and practicality are what made him so reliable in all things. Misha is specially driven when it comes to tough challenges where he needs to exert his effort just to attain the finish product. [insert long con, forging documents and jewelries etc]. He’s a brilliant young man who has eye for details that sometimes it annoys him a lot. Everything needs to be perfect, or at least perfect enough to pass as the original piece.

All things pretty also attracts this Russian fella, anything he can’t replicate or forge, he often attains them by flirting and stealing. He’s suave and knowledgeable that he often enchants his victims with the talk of poetry, sports, marketing, arts or anything that entices them. And sometimes, he just listens to them and just be attentive while thinking of ways to dupe or steal from them afterwards. Regardless of his flirty nature, he’s born romantic and can be really cheesy and very protective when he likes somebody.

Despite of working for the Bratva, he never developed a penchant for violence. He’s squeamish of blood and he made sure that in every assignment that was assigned to him, no one would get hurt. In every task, he gets away with just the help of his wits and quick feet, just making things up five steps ahead as he goes. But there are times that he is audacious and recklessly bold that sometimes he’s in need of saving from himself though he refuses to acknowledge that he needs someone else.

And because of what he did against the Brotherhood, he developed a small kind paranoia. He pushed everyone away from his old life and only reigniting his connections if need be. Misha believes that it is to keep them safe from their wrath. It wasn’t that hard since most of his family is in the Brotherhood. It was tough, but he’d rather hurt himself than hurt anyone else.

Where did they have their vision?: His vision came to him when he was in the resting on a yacht of some guy he was conning somewhere in the coast of Malta. One minute he was gazing into the open sea, when out of a sudden it transformed and turned into a vast meadow covered in red poppy flowers. He nearly fell in the water but he managed to snap out of his reverie only to hit his head into a pole rendering him unconscious where his vision continued on.

♚ His step father was part of the KGB, and he died in the line of duty when Misha was just 7. As a result, his mother drank her sorrows away, completely ignoring her son and daughter. The loss was too much since she already suffered from the sudden departure of Misha’s father. Of course, she didn’t know his true identity. His step sister named Roza, who was just 4-years-old, died after a year from lung complication.
♚ Misha grew up in a system but often ran away from foster family.
♚ He chose the streets and he learned the ways of the underground world when he was caught pick-pocketing the leader of the biggest Russian crime syndicate or the Bratva (Brotherhood) in the middle of the crowded park square. It was a slick move, he only got caught because he didn't anticipated the bodyguard that was stationed few feet away. Amazed by his bravado, Misha was adopted and raised to be treated as their own.
♚ He successfully became a thief and a con artist at the age of 10. By practicing, as it turned out, he's good at forging documents and jewelries. He’s also got a knack for getting information.
♚ He was 18 when he turned his back on the Brotherhood. On his last assignment, they ordered him to kill a kidnapped victim, an 8-year-old girl. The original plan was only to ‘steal’ from the family but something went wrong and Misha’s company thought that killing was the only solution. Averse to killing or hurting anyone, Misha used all his knowledge and skillset just to save the girl. In the end, he managed to save the girl but in return his long-time partners, his family, were caught. It was a setback for the Brotherhood but it didn’t exactly incapacitate them. Betrayal was the one thing the Brotherhood does not tolerate, and before they could do something, Misha ran. But not before he managed to remove all the traces of his previous life. It wasn’t that hard; all his identity was nothing but made up and was established by the Bratva.All his life was gone in just under 10 seconds. He managed to picked up his Go bag before riding the train that lead him to his new life on the lam.
♚ He's currently on the run, hiding from his former family under the false name Misha Morozova

  Necromancy - Elle has the ability to summon the dead, either in spirit form or in corpse form. To be able to summon the dead, she has to make an offering to them for them to want to be summoned. She can also sense death around her if it's about to happen soon. This power can be practiced and the more practice she puts into it, the more powerful it can become.
  
  Osteokinesis - Elle can summon, control, and manipulate bones. Her power is very weak and she can only summon a few small bones from animals at the moment.
  
  Geokinesis - Elle has the mental/physical ability to control earthquakes, fissures, rock slides, landslides, volcanic eruptions, or the ability to cause rocks to shoot up from the ground.   Estelle was born in the glorious city of Sparks, Nevada. She was named Estelle after her great grandmother who came from France and moved to the states. Instead of going by her full name, she prefers to go by Elle, as she dislikes the name strongly. Unfortunately for Elle, she never spent enough time in Sparks to think of it as a place that she would call home. Her mother was a reknowned archaeologist who spent her time traveling to different parts of the world to study different cultures and go to different sites to recover artifacts. It was this way that Elle learned her love for geology and would often beg her mother to let her go with her to some sites, but her mother would always decline, telling her it was something for adults. Eventually Elle stopped asking about her mom's job and her questions turned to her father. Whenever she would bring up the subject, her mom's blue eyes would turn cloudy with a distant look of longing, as if she forever missed the day her father was around.
  
  Most days, her mother would snap at Elle and tell her to drop it, but some nights, when her mother was exhausted from work and had a little too much wine to drink, she'd fill Elle's ears with stories of how he essentially swept her off her feet while at a museum. At the time, she had been studying geology and her interest had piqued her father's. From then on it was history. The two had a whirlwind romance until she became pregnant and he disappeared. Whenever her mother got to that part, her eyes would often go dark and she'd soon end the subject. After learning about her father, Elle found herself more interested in geology and ended up collecting gemstones and various other stones.
  
  Because she and her mother traveled often, Elle was homeschooled by her mother on days that she wasn't at work. On days she worked, Elle was stuck to learning from a computer, which she hated greatly. Somedays, instead of doing her lessons, she would sneak out of the hotel room her mother and her were staying in to go and collect rocks. This would often lead to arguments between the two as her mother was overly protective over her. Eventually, she and her mother came to a compromise and she stopped sneaking out and would instead focus on painting or dancing. It was these two hobbies that Elle enjoyed most and they ended up sticking with her.
  
  Once Elle graduated high school at 18 years old, her mother finally let in and let Elle come with her to the archaeology worksite. He's the type to make friends easily, a charming social butterfly able to talk the pants off of anybody who comes across his line of sight, but few are truly able to get close. Vincent has carefully created his facade, and would be damned if he lets anybody ever see what he's truly like.

Vincent's abilities have been a great factor in his rising career as a model, the first being emotional manipulation; he's able to push his influence over an individual's emotions, such as helping life a person's bad mood, or vise versa. He does not have complete control over them, however. Another power of his is charmspeak, basically giving him a silver tongue. Whoever is wooed under his charmspeak is basically hypnotized, charmed into listening and obeying whatever he says. The effect of his charmspeak is barely noticeable at first, and lingers long after, but it's not totally foolproof. Other half-bloods or legacies can likely feel when he tries to use both powers on them, after experiencing it once or twice.
  
  STRENGTHS. Both of his abilities make Vincent the ultimate charmer; he can truly manipulate people to feel how he wants, thinks how he wants, and act how he wants. He's not totally heartless, but he's used this to his advantage before.
  WEAKNESSES. aA said before, any other half-bloods or legacies who've been under his influence will likely be able to tell when he tries to use his powers on them again. His charmspeak isn't totally foolproof as well; anybody with very strong will can likely either pull themselves out of it completely, or shake off the effects faster than a regular mortal. And also, if his words are not clear enough, sometimes they can be taken too literally.

  DEMIGOD. Vincent is a demigod; he's the direct son of Venus, but has a mortal father.
  
  VISION. Vincent's vision occurred during his last photoshoot as a model (much to his chagrin). Ever since his rise to fame, and casual use of his slowly developing abilities, he had been a sought after model in the United States. During a high profile photoshoot for Saint Laurent, with the excessive flashing bright lights, dozens of people talking to him, dressing him, touching up his makeup, it was as if he fell into a dizzy trance. After his vision, he fainted, and even made some online news headlines.
  
  BACKSTORY. The son of a wealthy hotel owner, Vincent has always had an appreciation for the finer things in life. His childhood was as normal as anybody elses; he was not spoiled, as his father was harsh to make sure Vincent could appreciate the luck and wealth they had, a rarity in the poorer country of Cuba. Despite never left needing for anything, Vincent was always wanting. Wanting attention, which his father tried to give him enough of while juggling work at the same time; wanting material items, which he was soon able to collect as he got older and worked in his father's hotel; wanting something to entertain him, as Vincent was constantly bored of life in Havana. And he felt as if he needed direction, or a calling. His father re-married by the time he was ten years old, and Vincent could care less about his new step-mother (and honestly, he was curious about his real mother, but if she didn't want anything to do with him, he didn't care.) He just wanted a reason to explore life out of Havana. Of course, he had love for the city. He grew up there, knew his barrio like the back of his hand. But Vincent was an ambitious person, and always wanted more.
  
  Vincent's wish was soon granted when his abilities began manifesting. At first, he truly had no clue what it was. The first instance was when he asked a particularly hard-headed teacher to let him leave school early. Soon, his enemies became his friends, even his strictest teachers were becoming more amicable. Once he finished school, Vincent was a grade-A student, passing with flying colors and becoming stronger with each day. During a business trip to the States with his father, Vincent was scouted by an agent for a modeling agency, and he quickly rose in popularity as a fresh-faced model. He certainly had the looks and the charm for it. By seventeen, he was living in Florida, working across the country for various magazines, clothing brands, and even some makeup brands. He was truly happy with life as a model; it felt like his calling, and he'd be damned if he let it go. When his vision came, the lad felt as if his life were about to fall apart.   DESCENDANT OF. Yasmin is a descendant of Mama Qucha, also known as Mama Cocha, the ancient Incan goddess of sea and fishes, guardian of sailors and fishermen.
  LEGACY. Yasmin is a legacy of Mama Qucha; she is her grandchild from her mother's side of the family.
  VISION. Yasmin had been aboard a fishing vessel when her vision came. It had been a miserable day's work; the sky had been pouring rain since they began, and the girl was soaked down to her socks. The other workers on the boat loudly protested, begging to go home, insisting that the sea was too rocky to continue working. It wasn't until a particularly hard wave hit them, and before Yasmin could reach for her father, the vessel was capsized. They were thrown into the freezing waters with her waterlogged clothes to drag her down, and the net she had been gripping now tangling her arms. the panic had seized her for a moment as she sank deeper, and deeper, until she realized she could breathe. And her vision came, with a sense of calmness and understanding. Yasmin was able to make it to shore, and the town considered it a miracle, given that the thirty other crewmates either died or could not be found. That was the day her father died.
  
  BACKSTORY. Born in the little seaside town of Barraca, Peru, Yasmin has been close to the water her entire life. It was always a source of comfort for her, strong and unmoving, a true force of nature. Her childhood was spent at sea. If she wasn't on her father's small sailboats, fishing for their dinner, she'd be working on the large fishing vessels with him, pulling out nets full of fresh catches each day. Everything else came second to her; school, relationships, anything. The sea called to her, a siren's song that she simply couldn't resist. Her mother always snapped at her to finish her schoolwork, or to focus on the things that mattered, but Yasmin knew that the water was her home. That was her life, at least, until her father's death. When he died, Yasmin was only eighteen, and her mother was devastated. There was little left for them. Her father had been their only source of income as well, and Yasmin worked as much as she could to keep them afloat until her mother found work. After her father's death, her mother sat down and had a very long chat with her. It was borderline insanity, but finally, she understood what kept her alive that awful day, and about her mother's divine powers. The fact that this was something she hid from Yasmin nearly her entire life left the girl feeling lied to and betrayed, but they mutually decided on her attending Mythos, like her mother did at eighteen.

Where did they have their vision?: In the middle of a sweaty, noisy night club filled with flashing lights and drunk partiers.
Backstory:
For as long as she could remember, Colette was always getting in trouble. Whether it be from her mom, for staying out late and breaking the house rules, or from her teachers, for skipping class in favor of drinking in the park with her friends. When faced with an option between an opportunity for herself or someone else, Colette never hesitated to choose herself, even if it constituted her consistently walking the path on the low road.
In school, she was wildly popular, surrounded by many friends and the ever changing boyfriend. Every person around her instantly became wrapped around her finger, her charm and infectious desire to have fun a lure that never failed to catch. Most people who involved themselves with her found their lives beginning to crumble around them, forgoing opportunities and commitments just for the chance at living a fraction of the carefree life that she did. Even just one night with her would leave someone with stories they'd tell for years.
It wasn't all sunshine and rainbows for Colette, however. Given her flippant attitude towards life's responsibilities, she squandered all of her opportunities to better her life by attending University. She didn't even have a high enough GPA to graduate high school. She still remembered the devastated look in her Mother's eyes, when she told her she was exactly like her father. Wasted potential.
Colette never understood what her mother had meant by that, until the night she had her vision. It was the first thing in her life besides having fun that took priority. Finding a place at Mythos Academy, exploring and understanding her demigod status allowed Colette to find a balance in her destructively indulgent lifestyle up to that point. Aware of her unfortunate fate, doomed to repeat the drunken indulgence of her father, Colette values her success at Mythos Academy and improving her power as a demigod. Anyone who's actually gotten to know Kane will say that he's a nice and loyal friend. However he has many negative traits. Kane is quick to anger, it doesn't take much to get him worked up, and once he get's started, it's hard to get him to calm down. He often resorts to violence instead of using his words. Kane actually really likes puppies, like most people. They are his weakness, and are one of the only things that can instantly calm him down. He also likes working out as a way to get some energy out. He loathes alcohol, and refuses to drink. Kane also isn't the biggest fan of sweets, and rarely eats candy.

Kane has two big hobbies, cooking and Iaido , though he doesn't practice much, he's still pretty good at Iaido, and can still do some of the demonstrations. Kane's biggest fear is bugs, he can't handle insects in the slightest. He hates them, everything about them are nasty, and refuses to allow them to live if they enter his home.

Kane was born in Brooklyn, New York, and saying that he was a mama's boy is a understatement. Kane loved his mother more then anyone, and would always make sure that he was good around her, and did whatever he could to please her. However, outside of the house, he wasn't the little angel his mother thought he was. He got into a lot of fights in school, and had quite the nasty attitude with his teachers. Kane's mother thought that his attitude would improve as he got older, but the opposite happened. Kane got into even more fights, to the point where he almost got expelled. It was at that point when Kane realized how much stress he was putting on his mother, and made an attempt to change his violent ways. He actually started getting into less fights, and actually graduated high-school (though barely).

Kane had his vision a few days after his 18th birthday, while sitting on the couch, looking at a picture of his mother, and his father. In an instant, his surroundings changed from his living room to a rocky beach, with a violent storm going on. A man stood close to the sea, and turned around to face Kane. He revealed himself to be Susanoo, the Japanese god of the sea and storms, and also Kane's father,who then went on to explain Kane's destiny. Kane decided to head towards the academy, because he thought it would be good for him to have a change of scene, plus those new monsters were ruining his quiet time with his mother.

it was well known that dani and her brother did not look alike, and their father made it very clear that they had separate mothers. this wouldn't have bothered dani if her father wouldn't have avoided telling her anything at all about her mother but telling her brother everything he had to know about his. unfortunately, the poor man had no information to offer. her father's silence infuriated her, yet she couldn't bring herself to say anything about it. that is until she had a vision inside a garden shop.

  backstory:

  Abandoned at a young age by his birth parents, Bellami was taken in by a group of travellers whilst living the life of a street rat in France. His knowledge of his ethnicity is based upon a guess he made when he realised that the area of Paris he was abandoned in had a high Korean immigrant population. This combined with his blue eyes led him to believe that he’s mixed in some form. With the travellers, he found himself travelling all over Europe and exploring different and new horizons. His early life was one big adventure to the child him. Never once did he notice the pity in people’s eyes when they would look at him and his oddball makeshift family. Once he got older, he began to learn the ways of his new family. Initially he learnt the art of fortune telling with divination forming an integral aspect of their culture. It was his first actual job. Taking money of people who were often confused, miserable or lonely and turning it to ‘gold’. From there he learned more aspects of the culture; tracking the stars, the moon and the sky – it was when Bellami first fell in love with the night. It came as no surprise when he learnt his own lineage. It was one night, during a full moon as he gazed at the stars and moon in the night sky. The world seemed to becoming extraordinarily light in colour and before he realised it the world around him had become still and saturated in colour.   Lunar Light Manipulation - One of Bellami’s ability is to manipulate the light coming from the moon to cause illusions to the person they’re being cast on. At their best, Bellami is usually using it to help people have a better sleep at night and create a more calming atmosphere to put their mind at rest. At its’ worst however, Bellami can use it to cause intense illusions, causing hysteria, paranoia and confusion. The ability can also cause intense head pain as a side effect. This particular ability is only strongest at night as the moon doesn’t emit as much light as the sun during the day, this ability could also be counteracted by someone who can manipulate darkness.
  
  Lunar energy manipulation - Bellami can infuse and take energy from the moon in physical combat, whether it be through his body or through weapons. Bellami can also store lunar energy from previous storage and use it if it’s needed during the day.   backstory:

  Minaam was born in Dhaka, Bangladesh to a single father. The rumour around Minaam’s birth and the reason for her single father was that her mother died in childbirth. Her father would work a lot of odd jobs so that she could save up a lot of money, because of this Minaam didn’t have many luxuries in her early life. Eventually, all her father’s savings payed off when Minaam reached around age four. Her father had saved enough for both the visa process and flights to the states. After immigrating, Minaam and her father found themselves hopping around from house to house, never really staying in one place for more than four months at a time. She always wondered why her mother’s parents didn’t reach out to them – did they disapprove of Minaam and her father? She often thought to herself that she was the reason for her mother’s death – she wouldn’t be surprised if her grandparents thought the same. Growing up she was often jealous of other children and their relationships with their mother’s that she spent a lot of time drowned in jealousy and anger out of her own situation. She became the stereotypical ‘popular mean girl’ – something that when she looks back on, she hates with all her heart. It wasn’t until she was studying one night that she saw a cascade of stars by her window. All dazzling, bright and wonderful. She was enthralled until she noticed one of the lights come closer and closer, almost blindingly so. Until it stopped in front of her. A bright orb, glowing and shining. When she went to touch it, her body was cascaded with a sudden warmth. A warmth that felt like home and she heard her voice. The voice of Hecate, welcoming her home and telling her about herself. Minaam spent a lot of time hating Hecate until she was convinced by her father to join the school.

  Enchanting - Minaam can create suits of armour or weapons with enchanted magical properties. She can do this using her magic and create minor enchantments on pieces of armour or weapons like a helmet may be able to resist fire damage or a sword would be able to cause fire damage when struck. She can utilize magical spells from her armour or weapons for attack or defensive purposes when in a struggle, so she can pull any magic she may have imbued into a weapon or armour for an attack. However, enchantments on armour and weapons have a use limit and can only reach a certain limit before they’re rendered useless and need to be re-enchanted.
  
  Precognition – She has the ability to foresee possible futures and observe what may happen. As knowledge of the future invariably causes that future to change, visions of the future are subject to frequent shifting. While not being able to select futures or travel through time, these visions may assist in possible courses of action. She can reveal the consequences of events and perceive events happening in future. It’s an ability that can be only used once a day and not very consistent as the future can change.

  backstory:

  Sora can’t remember much of her youth. The orphanage in Japan said that she was left outside their doors in a makeshift crib. The only thing to identify her was a pretty cream coloured blanket with the name ‘Sora’ stitched into it. Sora was adopted at a young age – around six months to be precise – so she can’t remember anything from her time at the orphanage. The only thing she has to go by is her adoptive parent’s words that she was a ‘quiet’ and ‘well-behaved’ child. Traits which certainly haven’t gone away with time. When adopted by her parents: Stacy and Mark, Sora experience what she would consider to be the closest to a normal life as possible. Stacy and Mark were both devout Christians and made Sora attend Sunday church and keep up with her biblical studies. She was constantly taught lessons on how to be a well-behaved Christian child and what to do and what not to do. Whilst she commended her parents for keeping faith in a world that’s increasingly becoming less faithful, it just wasn’t for her. She realised this really young. She always remembered feeling like she was being called. Like a faint humming of a honeybee which would lead her outside. One which would tell he she’s home when she would stumble upon the everglade which was about half a mile from her house. It was her safe spot and what she called home. When she began to take up lessons in thing like botany and gardening – her parents thought it was okay as it would make her an excellent home maker. Little did they know her true connection and nature. It was sometime when she was eighteen that she saw a vision of her mother after laying in a field of lavender for what seemed like hours.

  Plant Manipulation - Sora can shape and manipulate plants, including wood, vines, plants, moss, and parts of the plants, such as leaves, seeds, roots, fruits and flowers. She can cause plants to grow, move/attack, mutate plants and revive withered or dead plants. Her most favourite thing to do is to enhance chemical properties of plants to create healing tinctures and drafts to help other people. One once, and regretfully so, did she ever create a poison. She is powerless in areas without plants or at least the potential for plants to grow (infertile/barren soil). Fire attacks can pose a serious issue when it comes to her skill.
  
  Botanical Communication - She can communicate with all forms of plant-life, including flowers, trees, fruits, vegetables, pollen, etc. either telepathically, by speaking verbally, or by touching it physically. Plants can tell the her of what happened or what is happening, like helping her track someone from a long distance away, etc. However, though she can communicate with plants this doesn't mean that every plant is willing to communicate back which has led to some very awkward conversations.

  rhiannon was born to a single military father in dublin, ireland. for the first part of her life she grew up on a farm surrounded by animals and took fast to horseback riding, she was winning competitions by the time she reached ten. the ravens that frequented the farm also especially seemed to like her. when she was a bit older her father returned to active military duty, meaning they moved around a lot from military base to military base. her father taught her how to shoot a bow and arrow and how to protect herself, which proved to be a mistake as she turned out to be quite a tomboy and started picking fights with the boys her age on base. she was always in trouble, though her father couldn't blame her for sticking up to bullies it made him look bad to his commanding officers.
  
  rhiannon had been told that her mother had also been in the military and had died shortly after she was born when she returned to combat. she had no memories of her mother, but mourned her anyways and grew up wishing that she'd had a female figure in her life to guide her. while her father loved her, he was a tough man and quite strict when it came to his only daughter. her father was a hard man to please, and rhiannon felt she could never make him proud of her.

  Maren grew up in a small town in Alaska with her overprotective father who's career entailed in Astrology. That was one of the reasons the two lived in such a northern state and far away from city civilization. The other reason was that Mare's father enjoyed hunting and what better place then Alaska to hunt? Maren and her father were closer than two peas in a pod and nearly did everything together. Maren would often be involved in his work, learning about stars and the universe. She also would occasionally join him in his hunting efforts, although she didn't exactly enjoy killing animals so she instead shot targets.
  
  Unfortunately, this love of hunting would also become the fall of her father, as he ended up dying from a freak hunting accident when she was 14. His death hurt Maren deeply, as she had done everything with her father, from learning about the stars to shooting a bow and arrow. Their neighbors who were close with her father ended up taking Maren in as she had no other family that she could go to. After his death, Mare entered a dark moment in her life in which she became depressed and isolated from others. Her adoptive parents tried to help her but alas it was to no effort. It was only when she forced to see a therapist at 15 did she start to get better. Her therapist helped her focus on different things than her sadness and she soon found herself interested in the stars again. Each night, she would sneak out just to see the stars or the northern lights that would occur. She also got interested in running and would go out for a run every time she felt herself dip back into that deep sadness.
  
  The next couple of years turned better for Maren as she healed from the loss of her father and her grief turned into happy memories. Maren had her vision during a clear midnight evening. It was on the anniversary of her father's death and she was star-gazing while thinking of him. As she gazed into the stars, they began to reassemble themselves until they were showing an outline of a woman. The woman then spoke to Mare, explaining everything. After the stars moved back to their normal spots, Maren was immediately approached by a monster, in which she outran. a trident, like his father. however, it's not like devyn just carries around a trident. rather, the trident spends most of its time as a necklace or bracelet on his neck or wrist, waiting to be taken off and used. it never misses its target.

abilities

hydrokinesis: devyn can generate and control the element of water, and lots of it too, should he choose. whether it's an ocean, lake, river, pond, etc., he can control it to some extent. however, the water must be created/controlled from a nearby source. it's not as if he can just make it appear out of thin air. he'd need to pull it from a river/lake, or from the moisture in the ground or in the air.

atmokinesis: like poseidon could, devyn can manipulate the weather. however, he can only manipulate/influence thunderstorms, hurricanes, monsoons and occasionally, tornadoes.

animal telepathy: along with god of the ocean, poseidon was the god of horses. as a result, devyn has the ability to to communicate with animals via telepathy. it really only works with horses and similar animal families such as zebras, deer, donkey, etc.

strengths

as a son of poseidon, he is a superb swimmer (you can't be the progeny of an ocean god and not be) and practically lives in the water, earning the nickname fish. then there's the fact that he can put professional horseback riders to shame without even trying. also he hardly ever misses with his trident and then of course, is pretty good at controlling water.

weaknesses

due to his ability to talk to animals, dev makes the mistake of trying to talk to every animal, despite knowing he can't. when he loses his temper, the storms he creates can sometimes be uncontrollable. also catch him nearly accidentally drowning people.

backstory

vision

during the penultimate swim meet of devyn's high school career, poseidon decided to appear. dev was in the middle of completing the 200 free when he suddenly felt like he was drowning. once everything cleared and he calmed, poseidon popped up in front of him (and scared the shit out of devyn). poseidon then proceeded to explain everything -- who he was, how dev was his son, and the potential abilities he might have. well, that explained why he was so good at swimming.

biography

donghai bao was born in nantong, jiangsu, china, a pregnancy that resulted from a one night stand. just after he turned one, his mother, meirong, got a job in sydney, australia and the two relocated. sydney became devyn's home since he didn't really remember china. it was there he grew up learning both english and chinese, taking on the english/western name of devyn, and remaining blissfully unaware of who his father is.

while his mother was busy with her job, devyn was trying out pretty much every activity and sport under the sun. however, swimming, dance and photography were the only ones he truly enjoyed and he decided to focus on them only. he was definitely the best at swimming, many people commenting how "the water just seemed to part for him" or how "he just seems to glide right through the water". when he wasn't at school or dancing, he was in the water.

in secondary school, he obviously joined the swim team and won pretty much all of the meets for his school. brilliant in every way, he was in all advanced classes and was even pushed up a grade level. it was during one of the final swim meets of his high school career he had his vision and met his father. shortly after that, he headed off to mythos. he knew he was young for his grade, starting university at seventeen, and wondered if that would hinder him in any way. would people not want to be friends with him because he was young?

he needn't have worried. soon after arriving on campus, devyn became quite the popular one amongst his peers. he started loving his classes, joined several clubs and learned all that he could about his abilities. it took a while to control and master them, but after lots of patience and practice, he succeeded.

  Where did they have their vision?: While Mia was painting a picture of the ocean in her room, she found herself hearing a loud booming voice at first. One that held a stern tone, power, and authority. It was obvious she had no idea who -or what- was speaking. Soon enough, she was sucked into her painting, the scenery as real as could be, the water running over her feet while she stood upon the sand. In the sky the clouds were dark, lightning going off every so often along with thunder. The voice continued to talk to her, telling her about a school, an Academy where she could go to perfect her abilities, even providing her with a map that lead her to the location.
  
  Backstory: Mia was born to a loving and adoring mother. One that at first was working her butt off to make ends meet. But eventually found someone who took both herself and Mia in, only to give them the life that they deserved. Her mother had become a stay at home mom, always doing things with her. Doing arts and crafts, painting, playing with clay, etc. Anything to help her grow, teaching her small things and raising her without issue. Despite all the sweet things, Mia learned in her young teens that her father wasn't who she thought he was. In fact, she came to the conclusion of him going on and abandoning both her and her mother. Due to this, Mia grew a dislike to him, but didn't bother to waste her time or her energy. Instead turning to painting and using that as a way to channel her emotions. Without making a mess, without throwing anger fits. The more she grew, the more her skill for painting increased, while the health of her mother...decreased. Dramatically. To the point where she was put in the hospital for heart failure and was barely holding on. Mia wasn't ready for her mother to leave so early, there were still things that she wanted to do with her. To talk to her about... Unfortunately those times wouldn't come as she passed. On that same day, it began to rain, thunderstorm even. Only adding more fuel to Mia's weight on her shoulders.
  
  After that very day, she got a tattoo on the side of her middle finger on her right hand, a rose with a stem that had "Mom" written over said-stem. Not long after, she began to close herself off in her bedroom, painting one picture after another. Storms, rain, oceans, the skies. It came to the point where she started to mix the ocean with storms, lightning coming down and striking them. If it weren't for the paintings, she probably would have spiraled much further than she would have liked. Mia then painted a picture of the Ocean, the sky grey, the waves a little rough. She was suddenly sucked into it, standing in the water as it ran over her feet, a voice calling out to her as a storm was starting to rage. It didn't take long for the voice to finally reveal the body it came from. Upon looking up, she spotted a man with a long beard coming out from the clouds on his own individual cloud. Talking to her and informing her of a School, one that could help her learn who and what she was. At first, she was pretty convinced she was going crazy. But in reality...She wasn't. He claimed he was her father, to which she responded negatively, wanting to not acknowledge him as such. Not after abandoning her mother and herself, who was now dead. He gave her a map, told her he was sorry before suddenly vanishing. Her vision ending with her sitting in front of the painting she had just been working on, but now there was a map in her lap.

  Strengths: Due to Mia being able to work with lightning, she is able to absorb electrical charges from things like computers, phones, etc. Being creative is also one of her larger strengths, followed by her skills for baking. Small spaces are her specialty and she can fit into most spaces due to her size (Doesn't mean she likes it). Being with others and working as a team, despite being an independent woman.
  
  Weaknesses: Mia is bad at holding in outbursts of anger if she's pushed to a point. Whenever she's highly emotional, she always retreats from situations to paint in her room, avoiding social interaction. Combat is a big no-no for her, not knowing how to fight, she's like a noodle. Virtues Though often perceived as distant and reserved, Adri has many strong desires and passions, with steadfast morals and opinions that are difficult to sway solely based on word-of-mouth. However, once Adri's decided on something it's very difficult to convince her of anything otherwise. Weapon: Adri's weapon of choice is a spear that was gifted to her, however, she has a tendency to spin it in the fashion of a bo staff. Adri also has replica of her grandmother's shield, Aegis.

Strengths inherited a talent for the battle strategy from her grandmother, she excels in close melee combat with or without a weapon and can remain quite astute in the heat of battle, preferring to analyze and use her opponent's weaknesses against them rather than leading with a vicious onslaught.

Weaknesses Adri has a habit of getting in her own head, especially when comparing herself to Demigods and often psychs herself out or over-thinks and over-compensates in battle. She is often her own downfall, freezing up or getting too wrapped up in the moment in an attempt to prove herself.

Where did they have their vision? As a young child, Adri's father, Aristidis, used to take her for picnics under a large olive tree that grew alone on a cliff, overlooking the ocean. It was their favorite spot to go together, and her father had made a small wooden bench that sat beneath its branches. Even after his passing, Adri would visit it and 'leave' him gifts she'd made on significant days, or just whenever she was thinking of him, though, it was rare her mother would go as she found it too painful. However, on her eighteenth birthday, her mother came with her, carrying a small that had belongings of her father's she'd never seen before, such as pictures of him in battle armor and letters from his mother...Athena. Needless to say, it took some convincing from her mother that this wasn't just some cruel prank.

Backstory Adriana was born in Yerevan, Armenia on a crisp afternoon in the autumn of 1997. She's the only child of Taline, a freelance potter and tailor, and Aristidis 'Ari' Angelos, a brilliant engineer. She spent her younger childhood years in Yerevan, though her family moved to Athens, Greece when her father found a stable job in his home city. Adri's school life didn't go as smoothly as her family had hoped, she didn't speak much Greek with her father at home and found it difficult to make friends with the other kids. Eventually, Adri grew more comfortable speaking Greek and discovered that if she made gifts for her peers, such as origami or woven bracelets, she tended to get her invited places. Though, she had never been popular and rather faded into the background...until the beginning of middle school.

Ari Angelos passed away in August of 2009, right before the end of summer and beginning of the school year. She was told he died in a fire, caused by an oversite in one of his inventions, a mathematical error, but Adri knew in her gut that was a lie. Her father didn't make mistakes. He was thorough, far too clever for something like that to happen. Though, no matter what her gut said, she knew how much bringing up her father's death hurt her mother, who couldn't even look her in the face when talking about him. Adri knew how much she looked and acted like him. Her father had been her inspiration, her driving force to do well academically. His talent and skills were unmatched. She had wanted to make him proud, but he was gone. That school year she began talking back to her teachers, ignoring her assignments, and picking fights with her peers; watching them get riled up as she sat back, waiting for them to take a swing at her...it made her feel powerful, smart, and in control of her life. She thought she was a step ahead, without realizing she was a step behind. Though she didn't ever feel happy, and she'd never seen her grandfather, her father's dad, look so disappointed in her.

It took Adri a while to realize what she was throwing away, how her mum would always say that her 'talents were wasted on her.' A year before her graduation she tried to shape up, focus on extracurricular tasks, and delve into obscure hobbies to distract herself from the negativity that clouded her mind. It was early enough to improve her grades, and she considered studying abroad. Though, on her eighteenth birthday, her mother told her the truth about her father's family, that her grandmother was the goddess, Athena...and that her father had died at the hands of a monster, his Demigod blood had been calling to them. She began attending Mythos Academy, determined to make her family proud.

  dimitri grew up believing that he was part of a normal family. his parents weren't perfect, but they loved him and his younger siblings. his father was a well off business man and wanted dimitri to take over the family business one day, but the young boy was more interested in literature than boring corporate life. ever since he was young he'd excelled in school and loved to read, studying shakespeare, aristotle, and edgar allen poe. it drove a wedge between him and his father, but his mother always encouraged him to pursue his passion.
  
  he was eighteen when his mother died. it wasn't until a few weeks after her death when he was visiting her grave that nemesis called to him, revealing that she was his maternal grandmother. dimitri was enraged, he was already grieving her death, now he had to deal with the fact that he'd been lied to his whole life. all of this information was too much for dimitri to take in, but after a few months he decided to attend mythos academy because it was better than working for his father's business and confronting his problems.

  shortly after his birth freyja had left him with his father, who truthfully wasn't ready to be a single parent. marco hudson wasn't a perfect father, but with the help of his mother and sister he managed to raise his energetic son as best he could. oliver was extremely close with his cousins, his aunt marie becoming the closest thing to a mother he had. when he was twelve his father took a job across the country, though oliver chose to stay with his family in tynemouth.

  Manifesting on an ordinary day, Elias was taking his dog for a walk through the nearby forest when an apple suddenly rolled onto the muddy path. Somewhat confused by the unusual scene, Elias picked up the apple, sending him into a fever-dream-like state where every inch of nature suddenly seemed to be slithering and maneuvering around as if they were fully alive and breathing. As a fresh scent of fruit overwhelmed his sense of smell, odd whispers started seemingly escaping from the apple, further entrancing the Danish boy.
  
  After an undisclosed amount of time, Elias would suddenly snap out of it, finding himself laying on the bare ground with a basket of apples by his side. Luckily, the only witness had been his dog, who had spent his time discovering the forest on his own rather than caring for his owner.
  

  
  
  

  backstory:

  “Something’s not right” Elias muttered, a distorted but equally worried reflection of himself staring right back through the glass oven door.
  
  Now, this pie, the revered ‘american’ apple pie recipe, had been made compulsively every year. This hadn’t been the first time Elias had sat in front of the oven, staring into the abyss that is his cooking skills in the hopes of his presence somehow scaring the pie into taking proper shape.
  
  “I’m sure it’s fine.” an unbothered voice responded, its source equally calm and numb to the worry that escaped from Elias. His mother had always been blessed with the ability to stay completely serene regardless of any incoming danger, almost as if she already knew the outcome. Albeit an admirable trait, Her son’s inner panic never really appreciated it. His mother was like an iceberg; strong and resilient, while his mind was the Titanic; tearing itself up on said unmoving presence.
  
  A scoff escaped the worried boy’s lips, Elias turning his head to face the older woman. “if this is fine to you, then I’m officially questioning every compliment you’ve ever given me.”
  
  Letting out a mellow sigh, Elias’s mother got up from her relaxed position and took to the side of her son. These plumes of worry had always been a warning for a big dramatic eruption, and she wanted to keep things as calm as possible. Today was a special day, after all.
  
  Taking a closer look, his mother concisely spoke up.
  
  “Oh yeah, that’s completely ruined.”
  
  “Mom!” Elias cried out, landing a symbolic slap on her shoulder.
  
  “Hey, don’t blame me. You’re the one that wanted to try something new.”
  
  Releasing a heartfelt groan, Elias planted his forehead on his raised knee as his head officially sunk to the bottom of the ocean. Usually, the eldest Damgaard wouldn’t even dare to show such reactions to the public, but his family always acted as a vent.
  
  “The world is ruined.” He muttered, causing his mother to laugh wholeheartedly and give him a solid pat on the back.
  
  “Let’s just stop at the grocery store, Gran won’t notice the difference anyway.”
  
  “But-”
  
  “Let the dog out, will you? I’ll get ready.”
  
  The chirping of doves accompanied the bright but cold afternoon sky, the grand sun flaring past the cloud filled scene, delivering rays of light to the freezing Danish grounds. Elias couldn’t recall a single time where mother nature had gifted him something other than cold weather for his birthday, but he didn’t really mind at the moment. Rasmus, his tiny yet brave dog, seemed to love it regardless.
  
  Today was indeed a special moment, not just because he was turning 18, but because April 16th also meant that his grandmother reached 90 years. It was honestly surreal to think granny, his tiny but eerily confident granny, was going to achieve such a staple age, especially considering she still looked younger than most of the ‘young’ seniors that dominated the area. Good genes, his mother - who also looked much younger than most, by the way - would reason, but Elias always felt like that was an understatement. That woman won the genetic lottery, to say the least.
  
  Kicking away some stray rocks on the muddy road, Elias moved forth on autopilot while his dog, Rasmus, steered him into the right direction. Walking the dog had always been rather enjoyable as it was the perfect excuse to get some air and clear his head of anything that was pestering him. As per usual, he would be completely spaced out as a result, but Rasmus had enough vigour in him to lead anyway.
  
  While his mind scurried over all the things that were caught up inside, a sudden movement from the shrubbery caught his peripheral attention, his feet stopping in place to observe the unusual situation. The semi-dazed soul watched as a squeaky clean apple rolled onto the path from what seemed to be an ordinary bush, planting a confusion into his head at the lack of fitting context.
  
  Elias’s eyes reached up as more and more questions flooded his mind. Where on earth did this come from? Was there an apple tree around that he never noticed before? Did someone just casually leave an apple here? Did apples suddenly grow sentient?
  
  Curious as ever, Elias moved forward, tracing after Rasmus’s tiny pawprints who had already inspected the spontaneously appeared fruit. For what it was worth, he seemed to be completely unbothered, although Rasmus’s unfittingly fearless nature was perhaps not the best sign of safety.
  
  As his hand encased the cherry red apple, a sudden shiver ran across his entire body, a strong scent overwhelming Elias soon after. Movements started feeling sluggish, delayed even, but the rest of the world sped up and motioned around unnaturally. Vines and plants slithered past swaying trees, plants flourished, died and flourished again in a single breath, and every little shift of the flies, beetles and worms sounded like it was happening right inside of his ear.
  
  In the discord of noise and distortion, whispers pierced through the call of nature, words of another language escaping right from his hand as if the apple itself was speaking. The language was foreign to him, yet every word somehow sounded clearer than anything he ever heard.
  
  In a surge of activity, Elias snapped back into reality with desperate gasps for breath, a confusion like no other overthrowing all of his senses. Rushed looks around reassured him that all was back to normal, aside from a basket of apples suddenly appearing by his side.
  
  Wiping the mud off of his face, Elias kept checking his surroundings in an almost paranoid state, slowly but surely regaining his sensibility and swiftly making his way back home to vent his panic the moment he'd get inside.
  
  Just when you’d think things couldn’t get any weirder, returning homemade everything much more hazy and lucid than it already was. Any attempt Elias made at explaining what happened was swiftly overthrown with small-talk and non-related questions, making the heavily overwhelmed individual debate whether he was truly awake or not.
  
  And this behaviour continued all throughout their drive to grandmother’s home, with even questions as simple as ‘what about the cake?’ or ‘when will dad come?’ deflected or flat out ignored. His mother’s face was normally impenetrable during stress, but Elias could see cracks now. There was worry, but with it, also happiness.
  
  What the f*ck was going on.
  
  Grandmother always posed as bright or happy, and Elias had rarely seen her as anything else, but today was.. different. He could already see true excitement when they passed the window, and the look she gave him when they finally entered the home was nothing short of, well, admiration?
  
  “You know already, don’t you,” Elias questioned, sitting down on the couch opposite to his grandmother’s rocking chair. The woman was dressed in an outfit he had only seen on special occasions; a pearly white dress that always reminded him of old Norse attire. Well, perhaps his instincts were already ahead of him for a long time.
  
  “I’d recognize that dazed expression without even seeing it, Elias. Don’t worry, your mother reacted even worse than this.” His grandmother replied, giggling happily like a child in a candy store. The duality of this situation was truly awe-inspiring.
  
  So, for the next 4 hours or so, Elias’s faith in his worldview was tested thoroughly, with tales of mythology and fantasy suddenly moving parallel or even intertwining with reality. Even though his image of reality was thrown around and torn to shreds, it felt like he saw the light. Everything started falling into places like little puzzle pieces of fate, shaping the final picture of destiny and truth that fueled his family’s surreal existence.
  
  For years Elias had stated at the painting above his grandmother’s fireplace that portrayed a beautiful woman bearing fruits to the men around her. Every time he had asked her about the painting, she had responded truthfully; she was the symbol of their family; Idunn, goddess of youth, rejuvenation and.. apples? Well, apple pies suddenly really got a whole different meaning, amongst many other things.
  
  The secret ingredients of his bloodline were once and for all clearly exposed by his grandmother and mother respectively, both apparently having mythical abilities that allowed them to stay as bright as they had. His grandmother happily mused how it was her own choice to ‘look this old and pompous’, for eternal youth did truly flow through their veins. What was hardest to believe about it all was that, supposedly, Elias was also gifted with this sacred blood, even though he only carried 1/8th of the godly blood that his grandmother was so proud of.
  
  After some time of solid readjusting and finding his place in the world, Elias started attending Mythos academy as one of the lucky Legacy’s chosen to attend. Even though his power was not as dazzling as some, his swift rise of power had grabbed the attention of the institute. Potential brought him in, and dedication kept him there.
  
  Now, Elias Damgaard is a junior who’s enjoying the busy life filled by a plethora of clubs and activities. Those who don’t know him for almost burning down the culinary club (by accident, of course), will likely know him as ‘the guy who can clear your greasy face’ or ‘the one that’ll help pass your test’. Regardless of his reputation or his supposed business that may or may not be just a rumour depending on who’s asking, Elias is happy with his current life and looks forward to the future experiences at Mythos.

  
  Abilities

  Invigoration: Have you ever wanted to feel what it’s like to have a caffeine, sugar and adrenaline rush, all at the same time? Well, today is your lucky day!
  
  Symbolic of Idunn’s everlasting youth, some of her offspring achieve the ability to temporarily bestow this prime state on themselves or another, enhancing their physical and/or cognitive capacities.
  
  In its natural state, invigoration places someone in a general state of ‘youth’, slightly increasing their perceived energy level and daily functioning much like a good night’s rest and a healthy lifestyle would. Through some training, however, Elias has learned how to specify this ability, focusing its power on specific human capacities in order to increase the overall effect of this effort. Examples of more specific applications are events like invigorating one’s sense of taste to notice more detailed ingredients, stimulating the mind to increase recollection, or invigorating one’s leg muscles to decrease strain and exhaustion.
  
  It should be noted that invigoration cannot push someone to superhuman boundaries, as all garnered effects can only reach that specific person’s limit. For example, a person with extremely bad eyesight can never reach perfect 20/20 functioning, and someone who never works out won’t come even close to lifting the same as a bodybuilder would.
  
  This beneficial state of optimized functioning does come at a cost, however. Much like caffeine, invigoration is followed by exhaustion proportionate to the time and complexity of the effect. If someone was invigorated to lift more weights for, say, 30 minutes, then they ought to feel strain and frailty for the hour that follows (if not longer).
  
  One interesting prospect of invigoration is the possible ability to affect another’s powers, strengthening them much like a muscle or specific function. Elias currently isn’t capable of doing so, but some training and experimentation might change this for the better.
  
  Mending: “For just $4,99, I will take all your worries away. Well, except those that actually matter-”
  
  Whereas invigoration focuses on inner youth, Mending focuses on the outside, manipulating one’s appearance and, to a degree, healing processes through selective age-reversal.
  
  Utilizing proper focus, touch, and a sufficient stash of energy, Elias can heal or temporarily reduce the presence of small physical damages/alterations such as wrinkles, zits, skin damage and other predominantly appearance-related inconveniences. Depending on the type of ‘damage’, the effects of mending can be ‘permanent’ if the target would also disappear on its own (e.g. removing a pimple), while more enduring instances (like age-related wrinkles) will return after a given time proportionate to a variety of factors. For example, a wrinkle might stay gone for maximally 2-3 weeks, but movement, nutrition, sun exposure and other variables likely decrease the efficacy.
  
  Arguably the strongest part of this ability is its healing capacities, albeit minor and weakly developed. Following the same rules as vanity related instances would, Elias could 'heal' (reversing the skin to a healthier, more youthful state) small surface cuts, bruises and other small- to moderate sources of external damage. It should be noted that this is not vitakinesis, however, so wounds still have to be properly cleaned and treated unless someone wishes for an infection.
  
  

  
  
  

  weapon:

  Given his great-grandmother's ethic of, you know, trying to stay alive, she was never really one for fighting. Rather than a weapon, Idunn gifted Elias a basket of enchanted ruby red apples that are said to have strong rejuvenating, anti-aging properties. Elias has only eaten one out of curiousity, which led to the mystical disappearance of his backpain and, at later notice, some wrinkles as well! It's uncertain to what extent the apples can go, as Elias has been too scared to experiment further out of fear of turning himself into a toddler.

  
  
  

  strengths:

  support: Possibly your best option for a cheerleader, Elias makes up for his lack of strength through his capability of energizing (both literally and figuratively) others.
