The sun stood high in the sky, casting down its bright light upon the quaint little farm. It was no more than two acres long, half fertile fields brimming with fruit and vegetables the other half a fenced in wooden stable where the family horses and milking cow were kept. In between sat a an average size wooden house, with a large loft. It showed signs of age in many places, but still stood strong. Behind the house sat a small barn where all of their farming utensils and supplies were stored. A stone well sat between the two buildings, the rope attached bucket coiled on the wooden pole that sat perched above.

The small farm sat in a small basin to the north of Tamriel, a large and sprawling city, home to one of the largest markets in the region. To the north several miles above the farm sat the Albazor mountains, they stretched for miles mostly circling the basin creating a natural barrier before turning the the east. To the south in between the basin and Tamriel sits the Tygress, a large flowing river filled with white water rapids and a swift, deadly current, passable only by a man made stone bridge constructed where the river leaves the Albazor mountains and circles around the basin until it reaches the mountains again flowing beside them until it reaches the seas in the east.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

A large black crow cawed, flying low over the head of an old grizzled farmer and a young boy as they toiled away in the fields. The old man, Garum La'Krain stood at nearly seven feet tall and was built like an ox. He had dark eyes and extremely curly brown hair which he pulled back into a top knot, his burly beard hid his mouth and most of his neck stopping at his mid chest. He wore no shirt, hair covering his chest and back as he tended to the corn stalks in front of him. He had built this farm by himself, for his family, so that they might know a happy and peaceful life.

Off to his left worked the young boy, Damius by birth. He had brown curly locks that hung to his shoulders, he didn't bother to keep his hair tied back like his father. His eyes were bright green, like two tiny emeralds had been set in their center. He wore a simple white shirt that had become stained with dirt and a pair of brown shorts. His hands were dirty, sweat dripping from his nose as he picked fist sized tomatoes from the plant in front of him and placed them in the brown wicker basket at his left side.

The winter season was soon to come and these were to be their last crops until next spring. They had a bountiful harvest this year, more than enough to support the three of them. The cold wind had already started flowing down the Albazor mountains and the peaks that were once only capped with snow now stood like solid white spires against the sky.

"Damius," called his father, his voice deep and full. "I shall finish up in the fields, you run to the house and collect your gear. I wish to see another deer dried and stored before the first snows start to fall."

Damius glanced to his father and gave him a quick nod, "yes father." With the flash of a smile he stood and turned towards the house, patting his dirty hands on his shorts to remove any excess. He pace wasn't quick as he strolled away from his father and towards the house, he always marveled at the wonders of nature. Even in his fathers garden, the multitude of colors, the smell of dirt and berries in the fresh air, he enjoyed his life on the farm. He strolled slowly down the row, to his left were blueberries and tomatoes, potatoes and yams, to his right a multitude of corns and wheat.

He exited the field with a handful of blueberries, every now and again he'd pop one into his mouth as he continued towards the door. He stopped a few feet before the door and kicked off his worn leather boots, his mother hated a dirty home. Extending his right hand gripping the wooden door handle as he gave it a slight shove. It opened slowly creaking every inch of the way, to open up into a humble living area. the room was rectangular with a stair case that lead to the loft taking up the wall to his right, directly across the room was a large open window, casting rays of light into the room. In the left corner of the wall he faced sat a small stone fireplace which exited through the top of the roof, a wooden table sat near it with four old wooden chairs. Directly in front of him stood the open doorway that led to the kitchen area and to his parents room.

He rounded the front door and made his way up towards the loft, where he slept. His room was sparse nothing more than a small dresser, a night stand, and a single bed. As the far end sat an a door that opened onto a small balcony overlooking the stable. Propped beside his bed were his bow and quiver along with the rest of his hunting clothes.

Without a second thought he disrobed and changed into his leather jerkin and the rest of his hunting clothes before donning his cloak. Grabbing his quiver of arrows he counted them, fifteen, before he strapped it across his back, taking up his short bow as he darted from his room. Damius loved the hunt even more than he loved nature, he could it, today was going to be a good day.

His left foot hit the bottom of the steps first as he rounded the corner of the still open main door and he was outside the door swinging to close behind him, as he headed south towards the Tygress. If all else failed he could bring home a few fish, he was sure his father would be pleased with that.

He had jogged into the oak forest, the dense foliage above cutting out most of the sunlight leaving only a cool shade. He had followed a trail for almost an hour which had zigzagged several times before bringing him to a high bluff that looked down over a much thinner pine forest that stretched for several miles before it met up with the Tygress's icy blue waters. He perched himself upon a rocky outcropping lowering himself to a crouched position as he surveyed the land before him.

Mia had just wandered out from the top of the Albaroz Mountains sometime early morning, before the sun had even peaked from the east. There was more warmth offered to her at the base of the mountain than there was to the top, less snow for sure. Even then her body trembled, the white and black striped fur offering little warmth as she padded across the forest floors. Though most circumstances, Mia was more or less better suited for extreme weather cases, she was not however, immune to them. She spent too much time up in the wintery passes and most of the snow had clung to her fur and frozen close to her. Now she was just wet and chilled to the bone as the ice that clung to her pelt melted away.

She had started to follow a rather rapid river upstream, thinking of the things she needed to do to ensure her survival. She needed to eat and warm up, or find someone willing to give it to her. If that happened she would owe that person her life. She needed a new master anyway. Her previous master died a few years ago, it was a sad death, and her first master since her rebirth. But it was his time to die, and her time to move on.

Mia's white coat did not blend well in the green foliage. It did when she was hunting in the snow days ago, but now she was out of her advantage. She fumbled around the forest floors trying to catch some food, but to no avail. She made sure to always stay within earshot of the raging rapid to keep track of a water source.

As the hours went by and the afternoon sun rose to its fullest of height, Mia had finally warmed up enough she was sure she was out of danger of freezing to death. Though the chill was still with her and kept her sluggish and heavy headed. Her hunting did not improve throughout the day, but she felt as if it was getting worse. She was getting frustrated at this point, debating just thrashing around on the ground and then lay still and wait for something to try and eat her.

With a heavy sigh, Mia decided to do just that, dropping to the ground as if she had a sudden heart attack. It was a rather large thump, and honestly her head hit the ground hard, making it ache a bit. Ignoring the dull pain, Mia let herself fall into a light alert rest, slowing her breathing enough to hopefully bring the appearance she was dead, though her body still trembled a bit from the chill. From there, she would wait, listen and rest.

Through the bows of the pine trees he could make out a figure, it was small, a tuft of brown hair sticking from behind a knee high bush. Slowly he slid against a nearby pine tree raising his short bow with his left hand, resting his bicep on the tree trunk for stability. With his right hand he gingerly pulled an arrow from his quiver strapped behind his waist. Quietly he set the arrow pulling back on the bowstring as quietly as he could. Two ears popped from behind the bush probing for sounds.

Damius sucked in as much air as he could, holding his breath before he let his arrow fly. His aim was true and the arrow hit the rabbit behind the bush, dropping it before it had a chance to squeal. Quickly he approached the bush side stepping around it to grab the dead rabbit. His arrow had pierced the creature through the neck, a clean kill. He pulled the rest of the arrow through the rabbit the fletching passing cleanly. He smiled to himself thinking what a fine kill the rabbit was. It may not have been much, but all forms of meat did well to keep them alive during the winter months.

He continued with his pace for about half an hour killing four rabbits in that time, they not hung on a line over his shoulder. He had seen no deer yet, but he was hopeful he would come across one. As he crested a large hill something off to his right caught his attention. It was large and white with black stripes, he couldn't quite make out any other details. Turn back, this is too dangerous, he yelled at himself, but curiosity got the best of him. He found himself slowly approaching the creature, keeping himself low to the ground as he circled in outside of its vision.

He was much closer now, only about twenty feet from the white tiger that seemed to be dead. He huddled behind a nearby pine tree his eyes locked on the large feline. Curiosity had yet to overcome his fear of being devoured by this creature should it not be dead.

Mia played dead for what felt like several hours, though she was not keeping track of time so it could have easily been the span of twenty minutes as well. She let her mind rest, regaining a bit energy that she had lost frolicking around the forest floors like a Neanderthal. She was debating lying around until nightfall, when her chances would more likely increase to actually catch something.

Footsteps could be heard after a few more thoughts crossed her mind, mostly about following the river to a possible civilization. She put her thoughts on pause and she moved her mind solely to finding out what was approaching her. She was completely relying on hearing since she was not doing much in the way of breathing or looking. Dead things don't breath nor do they look around at their surroundings. She didn't think about it too hard as she swerved her ears backwards to better listen, but silently cursed herself afterwards. Dead things do not move their ears either.

I am the worst dead living creature alive. Mia thought to herself. And that hardly makes any sense…

She held herself still, hoping whatever was behind her had not noticed the small movement. Regardless the mistake was made, might as well make the most of it. She listened to each foot step and realized that what was stalking around her was two legged. Most likely a hunter, this could be good or bad for her. They sounded light on their feet, most likely not to heavy bodied. A small thought of elves living around the area occurred to her. The thought only lasted seconds when her mind moved to if she was in danger or not. There was no sound of the drawing of a weapon, in less they approach with a drawn one already. She was not entirely sure how far away they were from her, but they were close enough to her that they could probably charge or shoot her without too much effort, of course depending on how skilled said person was.

Mia decided to wait. That looked like the best thing to do. She will have to be careful not to startle the person if they do decide to approach. That might cause an unnecessary fight.

Damius sat very still for several minutes focusing on the tiger, he had seen it's ears twitch moments earlier. So it's not dead. Where did you come from you beautiful creature. He wanted to move closer, to see if he could get a better look at it. But his legs wouldn't carry him past the tree.

After a moments thought he softly called out to the creature as he knelt down placing his short bow and quiver against the tree. He adjusted the four rabbits on his back enough to keep them out of view. "Excuse me... Are you okay? I mean no harm..." His heart began to race at the sound of his own voice. This tiger could get up and surely rip him to shreds. He was no ranger, no druid, he was just a boy with an affinity for nature.

He sure must have looked silly calling out to a living tiger, unarmed. Damius kept calm as he forced himself to take a step forward, then another. Slowly he inched closer to the tiger, his every thought hoping she wouldn't tear his throat out right there.

Mia heard the boy's call, well it sounded like a young boy by his voice. Slowly, Mia turned her head to look behind her, her neck stretched to take in her full surroundings. Her current view was upside down, but what she saw was indeed a boy. Leaning on a tree several feet away, weapons. So he was approaching her unarmed? Unwise if she was a normal tiger. A normal, hungry tiger.

Slowly, Mia rolled her body over. When she turned over, there was a small puff of dirt from her weight and the air moving away, it clouded around her a bit before the dust settled. A bit a dirt clung to her pelt after she turned because she was still a bit damp from thawing out, making her a bit muddy. For now she will pay it no heed, clean it up a bit later. Mia blinked at the boy and started to purr, hopping the soft gesture will show she means as much hard as he did. She lifted her head so that her eyes could meet with his, though she left herself in a relax stretched manner.

She felt too weak to assume any other form, this being the form that took the least amount of energy. Quietly she watched the boy to see what he would do. As soon as he got close enough, she could smell blood, but at the moment she did not see anything. Was he hurt? Perhaps his kill is laying on the ground where she could not see.

He watched as the large tiger rolled over, eying him. She let out a soft purr and Damius visibly relaxed. Slowly he reached behind his back tearing one of the rabbits of his rope. "Are you hungry girl?" He asked as he presented the rabbit, it was a large wild rabbit weighing nearly fifteen pounds. With a gentle heave he tossed the rabbit to the ground near the tiger.

Over head the clouds began to pull together darkening. A few drops of rain formed and began their descent to the ground below. One drop caught Damius in the tip of his nose causing him to turn his vision upward.

The rain is coming, it won't be long now. He told himself turning his vision back towards the tiger and the dead rabbit that lay in front of her.

Mia stood up and trudged closer to the rabbit when he tossed it to her. She was very hungry. Opening her jaw, Mia stretched her neck to take the offered food before a drop of rain landed on her ear. She looked up to the sky as well, halting her descent onto the awaiting rabbit to admire the clouds.

Quietly she looked back to the boy before letting herself transformed into a full grown Women. Her brown hair fell down her back, and over her shoulders as she picked up the rabbit from the ground. She stood back up and looked at the boy with a small smile, "You are a brave child... to approach a hungry tiger unarmed..." She told him. She sounded confident, though also as if she was questioning him.

Mia held the rabbit and looked at is, examining it. It was killed with a clean shoot. he might possibly be a very skilled hunter. That or this was a lucky shot. Something she hoped to find out later. Mia also felt tired, though though she would more likely not hold this form for very long, but she did see it necessary to talk to the boy a little. He was brave, and possibly kind. She liked that.

His eyes widened and his jaw almost hit the ground as the tiger had suddenly become a woman. She was beautiful standing just as tall as him, she had beautiful dark drown hair, but the thing he noticed beyond all other things were her eyes. They were a lovely violet hue, tempting him, mesmerizing him.

"You are a brave child... to approach a hungry tiger unarmed..." She said confidently.

He snapped out of his trance as he peered at her. "One part brave, two parts fool as my father always tells me." He quipped, flashing her a soft smile. "So... What are you? Or should I ask who are you?"

Mia gave a light laugh at his quick witted remake, "I just wanted to talk with you before you possibly left to take cover from the incoming rain. I will admit I am too weak to hold this form for much longer to answer such questions. My name however is Mia, and I would love if we could talk more." She said simply, "I just arrived in the area this morning... I was too tired to hunt so I was laying there hoping to catch a vulture or some kind."

She held the rabbit close to her though, as she did not look like she was going to part with it. However, Mia did examine the boy a little closer, taking a brave few steps to him. He looked young, possibly about to enter adulthood soon. "Sorry I am not familiar with the area... I have no idea where I could find cover from the rain soon to come. " She told him after taking a moment to look up at the sky again, "I don't think I can afford to get wet again, I just defrosted from coming down from the mountains."

The sound of thunder resounded through the forest as the rain began to lightly fall. Damius looked towards the woman, Mia was her name. "There is a cave if we move downhill, that's where I had planned to take shelter from this storm. Come with me and I'll show you the way. We can talk more once we're out of this rain."

Damius turned away from her and back towards the tree he had been hiding behind. He took up his bow and quiver strapping it behind his waist. when he turned back towards her his hood was up over his head, cloak wrapped completely around his form. A few quick steps brought him by her side.

"Lady Mia, if you'd follow me." He flashed her another smile as he started his trek down towards the Tygress. They crossed over a few hills, the sounds of thunder echoing around them, shaking the very air. They crested a small hill coming upon a large rock formation that opened up into a cave that was raised so the rain didn't flow down it's entrance. Just inside the cave opened into a small area about that was only about ten feet in diameter.

Close to the cave entrance was an old fire pit, a few unburned logs still lying inside along with a stack of cut pieces a few feet of to the side. Damius led Mia inside, turning towards her once they had entered. "We'll be dry in here, father and I normally use it during times like this when we are out hunting."

Mia followed quietly behind, but when the rain seemed to pick up a bit, she let her step fall back into her tiger form, taking the rabbit to carry in her mouth. Seems avoiding getting wet was not going to happen. When they got to the cave Mia walked inside and shook herself out and shivered a bit. She needed to eat or sleep to regain her strength, and the current option that presented itself to her as in her mouth.

She took a moment to look up at the boy and purr, hoping it sufficed itself as a quick rough thank you before she set to work on the rabbit he had given her. She quickly bit into the rabbit's soft flesh and pulled away the fur from the muscles. She felt almost felt a bit bad eating like this in front of the boy. Most humans though it was kind of disgusting to watch someone eat a dead animal in such a manner other than cooking it up, but she felt little shame in the beast side of her. She wasn't human, so she felt little to no connection to the human mannishness. She only followed them when it was required of her.

However... she did try to be semi polite with eating the rabbit, such as trying not to make too much of a mess with the fur and keeping the spread of blood to a minimum. The rabbit however tasted delightful and the food made her feel much better, finally something for her stomach to sit for a while. She had peeled off as much meat off the bones as she could to keep from anything on the rabbit to go to waste. After she was done she tired to scoop the bones and fur together in a neat-ish bloody pile so that it wasn't construed all over the floor.

After Mia was done, she let herself move back to her adult form, feeling much stronger than earlier. "Sorry about that... I was famished." She apologize to him. Though she really didn't sound sorry, more so just content.

When they had entered Damius noticed that she was back into her tiger form, jaws clenched tight about the rabbit. As she moved to the corner shaking off she began to devour the rabbit, in a rather neat manner he noticed. He only watched her for a moment before he moved towards the fire pit kneeling down before it.

He reached to the side near the pile of logs grabbing a clump of pine straw that had collected. He carefully arranged it on the bottom of the pit moving aside the logs. On top of that he placed a small bundle of broken small twigs that he had collected earlier and stuffed into his cloak. A quick motion with both hands brought forth his skinning knife, the old antler handle a dingy white color and a large piece of flint.

He placed the flint low striking it a couple of times with the back of his blade to create a shower of sparks. Within minutes the fire had rose to life as he adjusted the larger dried logs on top, they caught almost immediately. The trace of a smile crossed his lips as he stood taking a step back from the fire moving towards the cave entrance, removing the other three rabbits that were strung over his shoulder placing them against the wall along with his skinning knife

"Sorry about that... I was famished."

"Are you still hungry, I do have more." He replied cheerfully as he moved a bit further into the cave removing his cloak as well as his bow and quiver. He set them against the back wall of the cave as he turned back towards the entrance. She now stood as a woman again, he marveled at her beauty as he had down earlier in the forest.

"So Mia, if you don't mind my asking what exactly are you?" He asked, eying her curiously.

"Thank you for the offer, but I don't wish to take too much from you. To answer you question, a Galvent." She said simply, almost as if it explained everything. "Its fine, most people don't even know what that is. There are only a few books, and I say a few meaning only a few hundred in the world. Sometimes we get passed down in story." Mia said trying to sooth any means of confusion. She soon started her make her way to the fire. It was warm and frankly she was still cold. She let out a satisfied hum and she bent down on the ground to sit and soak up more of the heat.

"A Galevnt is a Demi-god who are forever to serve whoever comes across them... You have shown me a great kindness by giving me that rabbit. I have accepted it... so in return I will serve you with my power as started by the rules that I am bound by." She told him. Mia leaned back on her hands and looked into the fire are she was explaining everything. It sounded like the most normal thing when ever she said it. She was not sure the laws of slavery, but god-laws were beyond human laws. "So new Master, you've yet to give me yours name." Mia stated, she rolled her head to lay over one of her shoulders as she looked across the fire at the boy. A small smile played across her lips.

"Master? Serve me? Milday, I don't desire a slave, but I would take a friend. You can call me Damius... Damius La'Krain." He said, his back turned to her as he quickly and carefully skinned and cleaned all three rabbits. He laid out the main organs right outside the entrance on the rocks, the water rising them clean. He threw away the vile bits, before he proceeded draping the rabbit skins over a rock near the fire to dry them out. He scurried around the small cave searching behind several rocks before he found what he was looking for, it was a small wooden chest his underneath a pile of rocks. His father had hid it for nights like these, inside it contained two wooden bowls with spoons and a small iron pot.

"Father always liked to spend nights out here, so he hid all of this. Though we don't see many travelers in this region. A farm or two off east but we don't much see 'em." Merrily he made his way back towards the entrance as he spoke. He knelt down placing the pot out into the open rain allowing it to fill with water as he cut up the main organs throwing them into the pot. He deboned one of the other rabbits throwing it into the pot as well after he cut it into cubes.

He scooped up the pot bringing it towards the fire pit, the logs that burned on the fire were stacked in a square allowing him to place it right on the coals. A bit of the coals sizzled from the bit of water still on the pots surface. Damius looked up to smile at Mia as he reached into his cloak pulling for a small pouch emptying it's contents into his hand. Several small corked vials sat in his palm, each one filled with different dried herbs and spices.

He uncorked a few as he emptied some of each into the pot that had just started to simmer. He replaced the stoppers putting them back in the pouch which he replaced on his belt. He sat back with a sigh crossing his legs as he turned towards Mia. "So... What's it like to turn into a tiger?"

Mia watched him with a drawn out silence, admiring as he worked quickly with the rabbits, making a possible stew. Listening to the few things he had to say as he worked around the small enclosure. Though she still felt hungry, it took a lot of food to fully satisfy a Galvent. They use too much energy in one day, its rediculous. It was completely possibly for her to last a good long while without food however.

Part of her wondered if Damuis even believed a word she had just said. Out of everything she just said, he asks her what its like to be a tiger. She felt herself laughing a bit at the childish notion. Most people jump at the idea of a demi-god offering to serve them. Most people usually ask questions other than, 'What's it like to turn into a tiger?' Questions like, Demi-god of what... or why she was serving them or what she could do for them. Sure... the tiger question does come up eventually, but not so soon.

Her laughter bubbled up a bit more as she thought about it, the boy probably thought she was crazy after she had not answered him for some time. Mia rolled over on the ground to laugh some more before she sat up again and wiped a tear from her eye, "Sorry... Sorry, out of everything I just said... you ask me what is was like to be a tiger... its.. so strange, I found it funny." She said taking a few breaths to calm herself, she pressed a fist to her mouth to try and cover her smile.

She looked up to him and removed her first from her mouth and placed it on her cheek, smiling at him before she continued to talk, "The only way I can describe it is.. powerful maybe. Though if you are too tired to deal with the weight difference it can be a pain. Tigers are heavy... other than that i like it. Do you like tigers?" She asked with a bit of a chuckle.

"The only way I can describe it is.. powerful maybe. Though if you are too tired to deal with the weight difference it can be a pain. Tigers are heavy... other than that i like it. Do you like tigers?"

Damius looked from her to the stew cooking in the pot, the contents boiling slightly. He gave it a few stirs with a wooden spoon from the chest as he turned back towards Mia. "I've only seen one once before in Tamriel, it was caged and seemed more sad than anything. I've also read of them, but I've never encountered any in the wild." A light hearted laugh escaping his lips.

"If you're a demi-god then that means you live forever right? What happened to your last master?" He asked curiously turning to glance outside of the caves entrance.

The rain water poured over the entrance and flowed down the slightly incline in the direction of the Tygress. The rain offered no sign of stopping instead it fell more heavily. A few bolts of lightning lit up the blackened sky, thunder rolling through the air around them. The storm above was growing worse by the minute.

(I'm dumb haha. My bad.)

Mia smiled a little sadly at Damius as she crossed her legs in the same fashion as he did. "I wouldn't say I am wild. Also I really wouldn't count myself as a tiger, because I am not, in fact, a tiger. I just take on the form of one." Mia replied in a matter of fact way.

"I do, live forever, yes. But being a Demi-God is not why I live forever." Mia said with a shrug, the boy was full of questions. Curious or nosy? She wondered which was more suited to describe him. Only time will tell, if he finally does take her up on her offer. If not she could always force a bond on him. "My last master, he died of natural causes. It was his time to pass on. He was old, and lived a good life. I miss him, but it was time for me to move on as well."

With the roof of the cave overhead, Mia seemed to have no concern over the atrocity of the storm at hand. As long as she stayed dry and the cave did not floor, she would fare just fine to sit here and talk for as long as the storm goes.

"Pray tell me your story lady Mia, have you any tales of grand adventures?" He quipped cheerfully has he hopped from his sitting position to scurry towards the opened chest. He scooped up two bowls with spoons and a ladle hopping back over to the fire. Plopping down beside Mia he set the bowls in front of them scooping generous servings into each of the bowls.

"I hope it's too your liking, I only carry a few herbs and seasonings with me when I hunt." He said dropping the ladle into the pot as he picked up the one of the bowls in front of them.

"Thank you. Please, just Mia. I am far from a lady." She said with a small chuckle, though the politeness he was showing was appreciated "I much rather hear about yourself." She said quietly. Mia took a few bites of the stew and savored the flavor a bit. "This is good thank you. Its been a few years since i've eaten seasoned food."

Mia continued to take a few more large bites, making a small sound that almost resembled a purr. She was enjoying the warmth of the food more than anything else. "You don't mind if I ask you a few questions do you? I would love to know a bit about yourself. Like what you do, and how you learned to hunt so well." She took a moment to look at him instead of her bowl while she asked her questions rather indirectly.

"You don't mind if I ask you a few questions do you? I would love to know a bit about yourself. Like what you do, and how you learned to hunt so well."

He had taken a few bites, his cheeks puffing out from the amount of food he had crammed into his mouth. He was starving and this was the only thing he had eaten all day. "Okay then Mia, I am a farmer along with my father." He said after he had finished swallowing all of the food in his mouth. He took another bite as he looked her way.

"We live several miles to the north of where we are now. It's a small farm and only my father and mother live with me." He was now scraping the bowl with the spoon to get the last remnants that stubbornly clung to the sides. "As for the hunting, I've lived in these woods since my birth. Father taught me to respect the forest and the forest will always provide for you. Years of training didn't hurt I suppose. Father taught me how to shoot and dress all of my kills." He said with a light hearted chuckle as he ladled some more of his stew into the bowl in front of him.

"One day I will leave this place. For I do wish to see the world."

Quickly she finished her meal while the boy talked about his family and hunting skills. He sounded very close with his family. He also sounded like he may have hard core values. He seemed wise for his age, whatever it may be, but she doubted he was a man yet. Mia found herself finishing around the same time as Damius

Mia laughed lightly, "Adventurous spirit huh? Damius... was it? I ask you reconsider my offer." Mia said quietly. "I need a master to live. Its not often I run into someone who seems like a kind soul such as yourself. My power could easily land in the hands of someone rotten to the core. So please do reconsider." She said suddenly serious. Mia placed the bowl she had finished a while ago down on the ground before looking back outside to the rain pouring over the mouth of the cave.

Damius didn't really understand what she meant. He turned towards her curiously, "So without a master you die?" He seemed to drift away for several moments pondering her words. "I can not very well let you die... So what does being your master entail?" He asked as he leaned back taking a few more bites of the stew.

He quickly devoured the remaining stew in his bowl. When he finished he fell backwards holding his stomach. A great big sigh escaped his lips. "I'm so full it hurts."

(Sorry I wasn't feeling too well so I had slept early yesterday!)

Mia laughed when he rolled over on his back, "It takes a lot of food to fill me up... but yes I die if I don't get a master... its a magical bond between myself and another person. Original humans, but of course as long as the being can make decisions... we can bond. Dragons being one, or Elves. I have three and a half years left till that time, so I do still have time." She told Damius, looking over at him. She had to look down at him at this point since he had move to laying on the ground.

"All I need from you is to be yourself... the bond itself is a complicated... I follow the rules that were carved on the tree I was born from that our gods sprouted from the ground in the midst of battle. We, Glavents, call it the Tree of Life or the Tree of Being, considering it was what we were born from. Humans call it other things..." Mia thought about things that humans called it, but most did not even know the tree existed. Only educated scholars or native to the original area of the tree even knew what it was. "Other than those rules... I am at your beck and call to do whatever you please. If you wish me to just be your friend, than I am always here. I am your protector, and I will ensure your safety with every bit of me being. You can not stop me from doing so... if someone attacks you with the intent of killing, I will kill them in return." She told him quietly. She was trying to think of things to warn him about, but truly there was very little. The most unnerving thing for most masters is that they have to call them master, but she'll let him figure that out the hard way, it was a minor detail in her mind. "I can try my best to answer questions, but for the most part there is nothing you have to do. I am self sufficient for the most part... I can wander the forest and feed myself. You don't even have to tell your parents about me... I can take form of the tiger and you can tell people you are a druid." Mia shrugged with a smile, "It's your choice what to do with my power."
