Fantasy The Blacklist:// - Unlisted Profiles

Euclid Leaf

Metamorphasis, Genesis, Metastasis
We seek value in truth. We associate it as though 'proof' of our existence. But the truth does not exist because of us.
Nor is it a result of our profound relation with life. Rather, it is a reflection of...

Form Outline:Note: This is just a bare-bones template. Make it as pretty or detailed as you wish. So long as it includes these things, I don't care. Knock yourself out. :^D

Appearance: I prefer drawn/painted images. If you wish to not use an image, please illicit an unique description.
Name/Codename: Blacklist members tend to only know and refer to each other by their code names, to avoid being exposed to the ever-searching eyes of the Sanctuary and Maegus Curriculum. One or two words.
Color Code: For Dialogue. If you wish.
Age:
Gender:
Personality:
As bullet points or paragraphs. However you like. Make sure the personality shines through via writing style, the language used, etc.

Personal Biography: Only include the most important details, like how you came to become part of the Blacklist, what important aspects of your history aided in it, what events were important to you, etc. Conciseness over length, always.

Arcane Discipline(s): I have outlined a few spell archetypes in the School of Thought description, but each mage has their own unique way the principle particle manifests for them. If you come up with your own, leave a description and a field of science it may have originated from. I will then determine if it fits or not. While it is assumed that even with the lowest magnitude ranking of 1, a mage is able to know all the essential spell archetypes, signature and individualized spells are to be notated like so; <Sample Spell>.

-Note:
It is not a requirement to be a mage to be a member of Blacklist; in many cases the weaponry of this day and age are quite advanced. Blacklists with a lesser aptitude for magic may forgo it entirely in favor of all style of guns and even blades of energy, as the use of magic often leaves a mage vulnerable while they concentrate. Metal Jackets are rarely used by mages due to the fact that the rewiring of their central nervous system to adopt the mechanical implants greatly disrupts their natural ability to link to the Principle Particle.

These physical orientated builds have the advantage of 'split-reactions' compared to mages, but will have trouble dealing with the more esoteric nightmares, however.

Magnitude Ranking - The magnitude scales determines a mage's level of aptitude in a given field. 1 - 7, with 1 being the rudimentary level, while level 7 mages are considered so powerful that they can warp a whole city block with just a snap of the finger. These high-ranking mages are known as Savants. Only 8 Savants are known to exist. And only 2 out of those have a magnitude rating of 7 in multiple disciplines.
- I will allow a total of 4 magnitude points to be distributed for your character to whatever disciplines you choose. Put this number in parenthesis next to the Discipline.

Membership:
Is your character a white mark or battle tested? As a more veteran character, they will be no more experienced than 2 years.

Equipment/Mods: Anything that might come up as important to a scene or your character. Important for those with Metal Jacket augmentations. Mages may have these as well, but they give up some of their 'Relativity' in order to do so, weakening their magic as a result.

Relationships: Relationships should be filled in retroactively, and should detail things discussed and approved with other players. While not mandatory, I encourage you to use it for improving upon your character as a whole and give it more life. This is especially encouraged for characters who are older members of the Blacklist.

Character Impressions: Much like relationships, this should be filled out retroactively. While this is an optional component, I highly recommend doing so, because this allows for a character building exercise that is reflective of the whole cast. As in, this is their thoughts and impressions of other characters, new or old.

Age: Blank.
Gender: Blank.
- "εḉнø" is the anonymous entity overseeing the 'Black Network', an encrypted communication webline separated from the WIRE. The faceless being has extensive control over the individual delivery and processing of widespread information between agents within the society, acting as a trusted messenger and information guide. Most members probably owe their contact with the Blacklist through this avatar in the first place, and owing to their unique personality, the digital avatar is regarded and toted as the organization's mascot. They are often cheery and informative to all members, but on certain days, their personality switches to completely different ones, their avatar also shifting in response. It is said the mysterious being was around ever since the Black Network was created and has existed alongside the Blacklist since their early conception.

Age: 32
Gender: Female
- Monika Morimoto is one of the Organizers, a member of the shared and shrouded leadership amongst the Blacklist. She oversees Sector 6. These Organizers are the heart of all the society's operations, dealing with the intensive planning of the logistics of multiple factions, the strategical procedures to deal with any number of said factions, and internal administration for the Blacklist organization itself. Each one usually handles one sector of the Neos ß.

Madam Morimoto's public cover is being a wealthy and exotic share holder whose extensive enterprise in fashion outlets is a disguise for countless safe houses for the blacklist agents and their allies and clientele. Big enough to matter, but not big enough to draw unwanted attention. Because of her unique and humanitarian attitude, she has earned a reputation amongst the common populous in her given sector. Though incredibly busy, she often takes time to visit the agents under her wing, and as such, is easily the most recognized and popular amongst members of the secret society. The story of her shift from careless, bored, and uninspired aristocrat, to one of the head pieces for the Blacklist seems to get blown more and more out of proportion each time it is told. But the details always revolve around a haunted house, a reality television show about a piece of wood that gained sentience, two months of camera crews, exorcists both fake and real, and various Blacklist agents assuming identities as ghost hunters.
- When too preoccupied with business affairs, in her place, Cat Lady:// dispatches an elite group of butlers and maids to speak with the Blacklist on her behalf.
- Often Madam Morimoto will be accompanied by a clowder of various breeds of cats, from ordinary house cat to more exotic breeds. Sometimes even cats are used as a tool for contacting agents. A habit that earned her codename. Though she loves them all a great deal, her favorite one is a white spritz-tail breed called Dapper. That one was a gift to her, from a certain Fortune-Teller.

"My, my... What have we here? Another stray lost in this looming, tireless city? Nowhere to call home? Hm. I think I know just the place for you."

- A liaison from the Magus Curriculum, agent 'Sanction' (real name, Kalia Halva Moutelles), serves as the occasional yoke to organized Blacklist activity. Her direct connections into the operations of the Magus Curriculum allow the Blacklist some access and forward warning via otherwise secret intel. But contact with her is quite difficult. Normally, a long list of procedures and checks must be confirmed before a meeting can be established. It is to be expected, should one be caught in the act of treason against the high order will face a sentence far worse than any conceivable death. With a twisted enough mind, a life can be stretched cruelly thin. But a fate she is willing to risk, apparently. Stern, business-like, and with a terrible sense of humor, Sanction's presence is preferably transient to most others, though nevertheless invaluable.

"Speak softly... You can never be too sure of who is listening. There is death... and then there is what they'll do to us."

Though the timid youth doesn't particularly enjoy the violence that surrounds the hidden society, Ping associates herself with the Blacklist:// as a place of home. Seen as an indispensable resource, Ping is known as a "Natural". An individual born with an innate and excessive talent in some area of manipulation with the Imagination particle. Extremely rare, Ping's talent is the ability to accurately identify the energy signatures and potency of said signature at great distances through her Feedback. Though not quite as useful standalone, Ping has become something of a mobile scouting radar for the Blacklist, and is often called for when a mission requires a more subtle and compromising approach. Though reserved and shy around new faces, Ping is an aloof spirit that seems to enjoy the freedom of the vagrant lifestyle.

- Although she has a very powerful ability, her talent for magic is quite lacking. Instead, her ability to easily understand the levels of arcane energy has allowed her to become quite talented when it comes to tampering with the 'Arnston' cores found in most technology. Despite having no fluency of any sort in mechanical or engineering language, the young girl was able to build a highly advanced drone named Jung.

-The young teen has sworn herself to the organization after her own misfortune with a Nightmare that took everything from her, naming herself after the horrific event. Though the public was made to forget about the event, her own memories were not completely erased. Upon being contacted by Echo, her raw hatred was reawaken and has driven her to great lengths to seek revenge. Til this day, she seeks the monster that wronged her. Bearing a horned mask made out of the bones of such a creature, Vatalla is a more reclusive and violent agent whom commonly joins hunts in the lower districts.
- She is the apprentice of Blacklist member Codename - Fortune-Teller://

Arcane Discipline:
Occultism(4)
Occult Tattoos" - Inking herself with supernatural blood of Nightmares, the runic diagrams hidden with extraneous art and extra seals, her body is able to draw from these pools of arcane residue for extra power in her magic. They also act as templates, when certain areas are activated. This has allowed her to 'learn' spells so quickly in her short time, though at a great price. But it can be argued that Mariette's teachings are to praise, as one of the most famous witches in Neos ß.

'Cursed Bond - Cataclysm' - Because of her time spent with the cursed mask and abuse of the occult, the dark artifact has bled some of its powers into her permanently. Her eyes have since taken a sickly milk color and her body has been left scared, which she has taken to hiding in the form of strange tattoos. These supernatural eyes let Vatalla track things moving at speeds normal human eyes never could, granting her inhumane reaction time. They also allow her see in utter darkness and distinguish objects and sources of power by their 'essence'. With this gift, and her own learned experience, they render her resistant towards mind-controlling or illusory effects of visual appliance, especially when it comes to the [Occult].

Occult Discipline - Though brash, violent, and hot-headed, Vatalla is quite keen on the flow of magical energies. Due in part to her supernaturalized eyes, she is able to easily channel [Occultic] energy from objects as fuel for her spells. Such as, but not limited to, her tattoos.

'Famine'
- By activating the power from her shoulder tattoos, Vatalla is able to leave a cursed 'marking' upon dealing an attack to a target. The more damage she deals to the marked target, the more strength she steals. Subsequent marks applied make stealing easier, requiring less damage. The strength gained from this spell is lost when she falls unconscious or strikes a different target with the same ability. Forcibly removing these markings by any other means inflicts a 'curse' upon the bearer, sapping a greater portion of strength and sealing it away for a duration.

'Anxiety' - By activating the spiraling diagram on her back, her PRF begins to be infused with smoke-like occult energy. When she strikes an opponent in this state, Vatalla can 'cripple' their physical speed by a small amount for a short duration. Around a minute if she concentrates on the effect. It does not need to do significant damage. This effect can stack with itself multiple times, so long as she does not cancel the chain with another spell. Otherwise, once broken, it cannot be reset until the current slow wears off. Similar to 'Famine', any other methods of removal inflict a feedback lash that deals moderate to heavy damage to the afflicted's PRF based on the total number of markings shared between the two abilities.

'Vertigo' - By activating the diagrams located between her thighs, she can turn ephemeral for a split second. She will pass through objects and avoid damage not classified as [Occult] from all sources during its effect. This ability, if used in rapid succession, will eventually begin to inflict heavy [Occult] damage to herself after performing the spell. If used within 'Miasma', she can choose to reappear from any point inside the smoke.

'Miasma' - By activating the sprawling diagram of a smoke nightmare known as the Enenra on her torso, Vatalla can rapidly exhale a black fog that completely obscures the vision of those she chooses within the mists. At most, the amount of fog produced can completely fill a large room. This fog can only be blown away by supernatural/arcane forces. Any new plumes created beyond the limit slowly replaces any previous instance of miasma. Targets affected by 'Anxiety' or 'Famine' that are within the miasma when 'Vertigo' is cast, have their markings removed forcibly and suffer the adverse effects.

"They told me some walls can't be broken. I just kept hitting it until it did."
PICTURE WIP- Dominick 'Thermos' Vorsque, for all his somber attitude and grouchy destitution when it comes to being called upon, can't help but smile like a lunatic in the heat of battle. Though many tease him for being quiet, often melancholy, the apprentice mage truly enjoys the company of others. Once a blissfully unaware student, his involvement with Codename: PING// eventually revealed to him the underlying existence of nightmares, after which he devoted himself to fighting said entities. One of the few younger Blacklisted that still maintains academy attendance, Drake makes for an effective connection to the law-abiding magical Academies of Thought, namely of 'Paradigm', because of his standing on the school's student body council.

Arcane Discipline:
Conceptualization(3)
Realization(1)

<Superheat>
- Known as the 'Thermos' by his peers, much to his annoyance, the student is known for his incredible skill in the Collation Method. Mixing this ability with his learning in Realization, via a spell known as [Redefinement] one of his calling cards is to be able to coat a magically enforced iron rod in the shape of a bat in flame and use it in melee.

"I'll tell you what. I'd love to spent my whole night chasing this thing across the damn city. But I have three tests on meta-physical dynamics tomorrow. None of which was I able to study for. Why? Because of the previous night's excursion. Which, let me remind you all, had only been extended because a certain someone decided that it was best to go in 'head first' to try and catch an esoteric nightmare creature. So tonight, can all of you do me a favor? And let's just not be... our usual selves, this one time. Just this once? Thanks."

- Yavan Gvent is an older man known by nearly all agents by sheer social contact alone. Though he always crones about his old age becoming a problem, Yavan manages to show up to multiple sectors and lend his aid. Despite being quite highly ranked in the Blacklist, Handholder:// is the person who makes it his own responsibility for integrating 'white marks' into the habits and intricacies of the society. Because of his friendly and easygoing demeanor towards everyone, his history as a vicious Discordant in his youth often surprises those unknowing. He is a versatile mage made famous for his ability to tamper with and alter other mage's spells and magical incantations by overflooding their minds. Or by undoing their thought processes retroactively.

In his possession is a mysterious playing card known as the 'Calling Card', which has the ability to change with a flick of the wrist. There are twelve different 'faces' which it can change to, each with their own effects when the card is torn.

"The trick is all in the smile, love. Good thoughts breed a powerful mind..."

- All witches are Discordants, their morbid thirst for knowledge and curiosity of the unknown marking them as some of the worst even in the anarchistic faction.

Mariette is peculiar in that she seems to have abandoned her dark ways long ago, wishing instead to use these practices for the betterment of the misfortuned. Witches are a term for mages of the 'Occult', whose expertise lies in the drawing upon the supernatural. They tend to draw power from their surroundings and arcane objects, calling upon ghosts and dark spirits to their command. Because of the unpredictability of their power, and their association with tampering with forbidden experiments, many witches are hunted down viciously by the Maegus Curriculum. Long before her time in the Blacklist, Mariette was infamous for her ability to cast her mind and peer into a hidden dimension. It is said that she is able to see glimpses of the future there, claiming that what she sees in the void are the hidden 'threads of time'. Curiously, despite her rumored old age, she has not shown any signs of aging. Appearing like any other young operative enlisting into the Blacklist.
- One of the esteemed Organizers for the Blacklist.
- Similar to the Familiars used by the Maegus, it is said that her own collection of strange pets possess some sort of magical affinity.

"Seeing the future... yes, a mysterious and tempting thing. Perhaps a talent better left to any such remaining gods. I, for one, have had enough of it."
Not much is known of the woman who hides her face in the mysterious butterfly mask, but no one presses the issue when results are being made. She appears to be an expert in transmutation, aerodynamics, and general physics. Using these studies, she has developed a magic style known as 'Gleam'. The turn metal into jagged butterfly-like shapes that shoot around at rapid speeds, deflecting dangerous projectiles and cutting down all those who stand in her way.
A mysterious porcelain doll who showed up at the Blacklist hideout in Sector 6 without any traces of past memory. Instead of turning the unwanted intruder into a pile of super-heated metals, Lady Momo has taken the man in out of pity for the sincerity and confusion he displayed. Without any other means to associate himself, John Doe has embraced combat training in order to prove his worth to his new home and family. His metal form has eliminated many issues that ordinary people would face. The sense of pain and physical self-restraint has made him a fearsome weapon against those who appose the Blacklist. If at a steep cost to many.
A stern straight-to-the-point mercenary who is said to have an untold bounty for his involvement with the Named Families. He is distrustful of magus, and often seeks to work alone. He has an uncanny knack for numbers and code, a tool he has used to the benefit of the Blacklist multiple times. His preference for solo work has made him quite effective at espionage, sabotage, subterfuge, and other modes requiring stealth.
