Don't worry about it, lol. And I'm saying this before reading the post. But I'm sure it won't be catastrophic. I don't expect perfection from anyone. Even the greatest writer will write some slop sometimes. Even still, most of the time, it isn't complete trash because of their strong fundamentals.

Sorry, I've been away on vacation for the holidays these past week or so.

I haven't been able to keep track of this as much as I'd like to seeing as I've been going out all the time and doing all these things with my family. When I get back, I'll figure out what is going on regarding activity and such. I remember leaving it to Kloudy the last post to lead us onto the next. I think I provided enough information for them to spring off of, but again, I haven't been keeping up with things lately to hear anything. So I might've missed something. But I won't be able to check back for a couple more days while I reorganize my schedule. For the moment, I can only think of three reasons they haven't posted. They either feel hesitant to take the lead, lost interest in the roleplay, or are unable to think of how to do what it is I'm expecting.

I think I made it clear from the beginning that veteran characters have more responsibility from the player themselves to do things more independently than me. Hence why I have higher expectations in their sheets, to test their understanding of the world and rules. There is a reason Handholder isn't just telling everyone what to do beyond just 'follow me' and relegating the transportation to Janus. Because there is supposedly a history between him and the characters already 'established'. He trusts they can do their job. I think I provided enough context to let them improv ideas into the world and past happenings for them to rely on. In the same sense, I have put my trust into the players to act on their own, as much as the character is. Otherwise, there isn't a point to them being more experienced at all.

If the case is to be more experienced is simply to be more powerful in combat, that is a very lame motivation in my roleplay.

Please be honest. I do not take personal offense if you have lost interest or find some gripe with how I do things. Like seriously, casual words shot over the internet should never make anyone mad.

Euclid Leaf I did what I could to at least respond, I can't really push things much more foward than the character would and certainly not without some direction. As I understand Kloudy was still expecting there to be a post order, so he was waiting for the others to post before doing so himself.

That said, I do think we all ought to have a bit more responsability to post or at least be present. And I would request for future reference Euclid Leaf that you give us some kind of warning that you'll up and vanish for a week... You're a GM you owe your players that much

My bad. I admit it is a bit unprofessional to not post updates when I ask others to do so. Even if I have to prioritize how I use my time, pursuing real-life goals rather than this personal hobby, I still have a responsibility here. Apologies. I'll be posting here more regularly from this point on, but I don't think I can be as active as I used to be with new responsibilities I will be overlooking in the coming new year. As some of you can tell, I don't really play games or really do anything recreational with my free time. Part of that is because I'm very busy in real life, another is that, I'm something of an adult now. So my ambitions and the well-being of those underneath me must take priority. That is just how it is when thrust in a position of responsibility in the real world.

Though, all that said. Even with me here more now, I don't think there is anything I can do about the current situation. I am as powerless as a player when it comes to progressing a group project. Without everyone working together, it just falls apart and I just begin to question if I should just do things on my own. While I think it's a GM's duty to moderate chat and discussion, I don't think I have to be a nanny and pester people to post. If they don't want to post, I can't really do anything about it. They have their life and I have mine. If there is no signs of effort, I don't see a reason to pour myself over things when I have a bunch of things to do already outside. I can't really be wasting my time like poking people over the internet when I have other more important things to worry about. Especially when my decisions will dictate not only my own life. You can call it a lack of motivation, and in a way it is. I just find it a waste to work on something so depending on the effort of others, when I can be spending my time more effectively in independance.

Those are my feelings as it stands.

Alright, then let me try and get the ball rolling by figuring some things out. Can it be assumed that Mule and Kingfisher, once Mule got his weapons, were dropped off at a different point so as to provide a distraction? If so, I can just post and have that happen and I can have, like, three swat vans (or their equivalent) show up to deal with those two. The commotion will cause the surrounding area to be abandoned, because who wants to risk being shot, and might cause the current host of the Nightmare to also run. The main group, with the assistance of Ping probably, will then go on a wild chase to catch up to the current host so they can fight the Nightmare and maybe hopefully capture it.

I really appreciate the effort, but I don't think it would make much sense. Your character had already moved on since they were already going separately to retrieve their (his) weapon(s). Unless you planned to be dropped off by Janus instead. But assuming in this case you went ahead, even if there happens to be some sort of secret transit they Blacklist uses to cross the city, it wouldn't make much sense for them to show up before the main group when the latter has someone capable of teleportation. What's going on currently is a lot more complicated than "show up", "beat bad guys", and "chase ghosts", as much I simplified it.
