Fantasy The Blacklist - A Fantasy/Punk Post-Apocalypse

I didn't mean for to it to be offensive. It just seemed similar to me, at least when referencing her appearance and power and some of the personality. Since you were using a clip of Altair destroying tanks with her horoscope thing as a reference to the character's abilities, and me having watched said show and knowing how stupidly OP that character was, I was just stating that her power is nowhere near that strong in case that was what you believed. Perhaps your type of humor just flies over my head. That might be the case. I don't mind the similarities otherwise, nor should it be a shame to base some of a character off something you like.

If they had been an actual carbon copy, I wouldn't have accepted it.
Oh my apologies, don't worry I wasn't offended or anything! At most I was a little worried people were perceiving me as the kind of person who would go so low as to just straight up copy a character. Sorry for the confusion!

sorry squid.gif

1. Ya can't spawn that inside someone
2. THAT'S NOT MELEE

1. Who said I can't move my portals about (at some point idk if I'm allowed to do that now), huh?

2. IT IS IF YOU BELIEVE HARD ENOUGH

Prizzy is right, there is that feedback thing which prevents you from directly messing with someone's insides

Also this, can't spawn shizzle inside anyone unless they have the shitest feedback known to mage.
It'd be interesting fighting a really powerful magic user though. If they can expand their feedback range wide enough and still maintain a decent level of potency, it could stop Janus' use of small portals in a large area. He'd have to resort to one big portal, most likely, which could mean a lot of things given the circumstances. ; )

Yeah, I'm normally not this upfront about things. But being a GM sort of changes how I must interact with people. I've learned from experience that if people are too buddy buddy with me that when I try to be forceful, they don't take me seriously anymore. "LOL, Shura, don't try to be serious. We no ur just joking." So, yeah, don't take anything I say as an insult or too personal. I just have to clear up misconceptions if someone random just happens across this thread and sees things out of context.

Also, I've liked and added the sheets that have been approved into the character list. After finishing my shorter shift today, I will be back home early to go over the sheets still pending and finally start on that IC.

Understandable. To be honest I'm also like that as a GM. I always try to correct even minimal information so that no misconception will be spread even by mistake. Keep up the good work boss :)

I made some edits to my CS by the way. I try to make the spells more concise with what you wanted and added some more personality, as well as a list of likes and dislikes and a relationship. I'm still pondering if I should add some quotes too...

Do what you gotta do~

Don't be afraid to make up characters too, as you have. Which I thought was cool in your case. I like players to feel like they can contribute to the story, so long as it's approved beforehand.

Should I change my codename to "God of Gates" then? Cause you listed it as that instead of "God of Doorways" (which is what the Roman god Janus was actually referred to as) so idk if that was your error or something. : P

Oh, haha, yeah I had Janus in mind, so I thought that was also your character's code name. But, don't worry about it. That was my own error. I will fix that later when I get back home. XD

Tbh, I think his codename should just be "Janus" instead of "God of Doorways" cause that's really long and doesn't quite sound right when I say it. That was the general purpose for the name, after all. : P

Made all the changes. Okay, now that everything is good on that end... I'll probably finish this last sketch and add it to the growing list in the NPC database. God the BBcode wants to break so badly on me, keeps messing up every time I add something new. Afterwards, I'll be starting that dinky little I.C. post intro thing... Yeah.

Should be interesting?

Janus is the name of a restaurant in my hometown. And should his real name be God of Doorways then?

In that case I suppose I should point out that Laslo father isn't dead, but hasn't been seen in a long time

His real name is Kypher Hawthorne, Janus is his codename and "God of Doorways" is kinda like a second codename/nickname stemming from his powers and the myth of the Roman god Janus.
In terms of what's on Blacklist file, he is known as Janus but he used to be Kypher Hawthorne. He threw that assassin life away for a chance at some kind of redemption, so it's a bit of a Killua story from HxH in a sense.

Also, does anyone wanna plan some impressions/joint backstory with my guy? Any relationships or past events that should be noted?

If you have any good ideas, yeah sure. PM me

Also hey, this "big hunt", is it something people should gather at fortune teller's store for?

I was going to have it be explained more in the story, but it's a big case that's been stirring up the outer city for a while now. The city itself is very big, so there is a chance your characters are in a different area and don't know about it. But it involves something called a 'Dreameater'. It's got big enough where she couldn't handle it herself, so she put out a call for other agents. Mariette is known as a very capable member, so it's a pretty big deal if she's asking for help.

Yes, but are we supposed to go to her?

Prizzy Kriyze Prizzy Kriyze since our characters have that kind of relationship and all, should we have your character come to get mine? I was planning on starting the scene with my character having a nightmare and waking up, though being woken up is an interesting option as well

Well, I'll have to change up the post I just finished then, but it honestly sounds more interesting than the BS I've been writing. I suppose the biggest issue is that I just can't see Laslo thinking it's responsible to bring a seven year old on a "big hunt".

Yes, but are we supposed to go to her?

If you mean the message was to meet there. Then yes. This is one of the safehouses, though it isn't stated explicitly. It's essentially a base of operations for the Blacklist in a specific region. Unless you mean something else? This has been going on for a bit, so maybe some of you have been stationed there and have been scoping things already. But again, that's up to you.

This is just the call to the whole network basically saying, "Yo. This is serious. We're going to need some more firepower."

In that case, perhaps Laura was already involved. In that case, then Laslo can not stop her from being involved, and as such that could be the main reason why he decided to join in on the mission. I'll PM you

If you don't think it fits, then no need to do it, it was just me blurting an idea. Do go ahead and post if you prefer :)
Surprising as it may seem I'm not all talk, I tend to carry plan B's
