The Black Ale IC Thread

Masa nodded to Beck who was on the main deck of the St. Anne. Beck gave a slight nod back before turning to face those of the St. Anne. Those that had agreed to Masa's offer were released from their bounds and were shown what to. It was fairly simple. They were to move anything of value from the hull of the St. Anne, to the hull of the Black Ale. Those that did not agree were kept in their bounds and kept out of the way. Masa turned on his heel went he saw that things were now moving a lot faster. He passed Griffin and Kat and headed into the St. Anne's captain's quarters.

Griffin watched as Masa went off to do his own thing. He turned back to Kat and gave her a strong shove. "Walk." He told her. Griffin would lead Kat over to the Black Ale where he would then take her to the first large room of the Black Ale's captain's quarters. A taller man followed the two into the room. "Wheres the other girl?" Griffin asked Daften who had entered the room with Kat and Griff.

Daft motioned to the double doors in the far back of the room. "She's in there for now." Daft told him.

Griffin grumbled a bit as he thought about what he was going to do with Kat for the time being. He didn't want to leave the girl in there... Especially if she mentioned that she was a thief. So he thought of the next best thing. He turned to Kat and smirked a little. He crossed his arms over his chest as he let himself lean against the large table in the room. "Strip." He told her with an amused tone to his voice.

You could hear a light chuckle coming from daft as a smirk crossed his own face. "This will be interesting." He stated.

(Sorry it's not long. lol. I had a busy last couple of days and a lot of catching up to do in my rps. (^_^)...)

Alexandra tensed when she heard voices coming from the other room. She walked over to the door and and pressed her right ear up against it in order to better hear the muffled voices. She heard Griff ask where she was and the answer, then she heard 'Strip'. She thought a moment of the odd request and then she realized they must have the other female in there. Her hand went over her mouth in shock even if the request wasn't directed at her she still subconsciously pulled the vest she wore tighter around herself and stepped back away from the door. "What dogs." she muttered to herself and walked over to the window looking outside. She took in a few deep breaths trying to calm herself, the wait was unbearably long.

Khaos watched as his bounds were released and he along with a few others were led to the hull of the St. Anne. From there the work began anything of value was to be taken to the Black Ale. He only hoped to not be doing all this work just to die in the end, not only would it be humiliating but it would be more bothersome to not be able to collect his money that was owed him. It still slightly surprised him that this great captain would even grant them safe passage, he didn't trust this information to be true. Either way even if he didn't get to civilization if he was able to live another day and somehow get Alexandra off the ship and to where she needed to be then that would be good enough for him. He picked up an old looking trunk filled with collectibles from around the world from some of the travels. He carried it across the bridge and to the hull of the black ale setting it down and then headed back over to the St. Anne only to repeat his actions until everything of value was on board the Black Ale.

Kat watched Masa walk away with disgust. Stupid pirates, when Griffen shoved her and told her to walk, Katerina became hesitant l. Why was she going into the Black Ale? As she reluctantly began to move, looking down at the waves, she wondered if it was better to jump and die rather then travel with a bunch of disgusting pigs.

Katerina stopped as she was led into the room, listening to Griffen's conversation, Alex bitch. She was the whole reason she was in this mess. The next time she saw her, she be vowed she would slit her throat, even if it got her killed. Katerina became to walk around the large room, masking her fear when she heard Griffen. 'Strip'. Katerina spun around angrily. "Go to hell." Kat snapped at him, staring st him with fire in her eyes.

(Sorry for the short post, I'm at school)

Beck watched over those from the St. Anne making sure they were doing what they were told and not trying anything stupid. He knew Masa very well and knew that Masa never really did this sort of thing. Maybe once or twice, but it was on very rare occasions. His eyes drifted over the men, seeing that things were indeed moving a lot faster. They should be done in no time now. Once done they could be on their way back to Fort Pearl. It had been more than four months since they were at port. Their hull was almost full meaning that they would indeed get a nice payout for this.

His eyes looked over to the St. Anne's captain's quarters seeing Masa leaving it with a few books in his hand. More schedules and logs it seemed. He watched as Seven, Rem and a few others from the Black Ale crew head in after the captain had left. Their task would be to clear out the captain's room, collect all the books and maps. Anything really from that room. Beck at this point let his attention drift to the sky. The sun was going to be setting in about an hour or so. If they wanted to finish before dark they would have to pick up the pace.

Daften shook his head and laughed a bit at Kat's response. He looked to Griffin, "Kanojo ga nai koto o iimashita."

Griffin narrowed his eyes at Kat, "Either you can take off your clothes..." Griffin walked over to her, reaching out he grabbed her bag from her shoulder. He opened the bag and dumped the content on the floor. His eyes looked over the book and then to the black feather. He laughed as he picked up both items. "I'm sure you don't want me to burn them off." Griffin held out the black feather in front of her. A small flicker started at the bottom of the feather but soon turned into a small raging flame that engulfed the item. When the flame went out there really wasn't much left of the feather.

Griffin let the feather remains fall to the floor as he opened the book. He quickly found the last page where his eyes scrolled over her hand written words. "From one thief to another..." Griffin looked up from the book and gave her a very serious look. "Take your clothes off.... Take your hair down, boots off... Everything...."

(That's fine... I'm still playing catch up with some rps that I missed over the weekend.)

Khaos wiped the sweat off his brow as he entered once again the hull of the St. Anne he did one final sweep and watched as a few took the last of the remains to the Black Ale. He got up back on deck arms crossed casually while the other men came and stood by with him "That's the last of it." Khaos spoke to Beck seeing how he was watching them move things over and no one else was really around that he could tell. Now was the moment of truth, they finished their task and it was time to see if the captain of the Black Ale would actually let them live. He couldn't help but let his eyes wander the ship of the St. Anne and a frown befell his lips, it was a beautiful ship, but now sent to ruin humiliated in defeat. He scanned the deck for Captain Mathews and that's when he saw Hughe's lifeless body and decapitated head only inches away. It was quite an unfortunate discovery, nevertheless he said nothing and waited for further orders whatever it may be.

Katerina furrowed her brows in confusion as Daften talked in the language again, she knew she should've taken the language book on her last raid. Kat watched with angry eyes as Griffen narrowed his eyes at her. Katerina let out a tiny gasp as he tore the satchel from her shoulder, she reached out to grab it back, but he had already dumped her belongings on the floor. Kat narrowed her eyes, she wouldn't let them humiliate her.

Katerina felt a tinge of dread as Griffen mention burning them off, she was doubtful until the feather began to burn, she was amazed, she had never seen magic before, and it was stunning to say the least. Katerina almost reached for her journal, but it was to late as he flicked to the last pages. She cringed and swallowed as he murmured to himself and looked up at her.

Katerina knew stabbing him with one of her many hidden knives would result in death for her. She shook her head, glaring at him "Where do you get off?" She snapped rhetorically before looking down and slowly stripping, she would not show them the satisfaction of her humiliation at this. She removed her boots and vest, to her shorts, to her thigh stockings, then removed her underclothes, exposing her petite, curvy form. She then let down her ponytail, and her black, raven waves fanned out around her waist. Her arms covered her most valuable areas and she glared at Griffen. "Can I put my clothes back on now?" She hissed at Griffen, masking her humiliation and defeat.

Rem made his way onto the St. Anne and stopped next to Beck. He looked over the manifest for the cargo and shut the book handing it over to Beck. "That's everything." Rem sated before looking over the helpful side of the St. Anne crew. He placed his hands on his hips and let out a deep breath. "Alright. Why don't you lads follow me. I'll explain how this is going to work." Rem looked them over before heading back onto the Black Ale with Beck in toe. Beck had left heading to the Captain's quarters while Rem lead the group down into the bellows of the ship.

Rem lead them to the far back of the lowest part of the ship. There, they could clearly see two large cells. Enough room to hold all of them. Rem opened the cell doors. "It will be three days till be get to Fort Pearl. Till then you will all stay in here." Rem looked over the cells before looking over the men. "We will keep our promise. Safe passage... Food, water.. But I'm sure you understand why we must keep the lot of you down here.... We don't know you and don't trust you. We will however, let you top side during your meals." Rem paused as he stepped aside to let the men gather into the cells. "Before you head into the cells... You must hand over any and all items you may have on you. You can have em back once we reach land." Rem moved over to an open trunk and with a good push of his foot, he slide it in the path way of the men and the cells.

Daft shook his head as he watched Kat comply to Griffin's orders. "For some reason you just have a way with women... Don't you?" He laughed a little.

"Okora semasu!" Griffin snapped at Daften as he shut Kat's book. He dropped it on the table before stepping around Kat. He stopped on the other side of the room and pulled open a trunk. "You will wear this..." Griffin pulled out a pair of pants and a shirt. They weren't much and looked a bit wore in.

Griffin walked back over to her and handed her the shirt and pants. "If you live you can have you clothes and things back." He told her before grabbing her arm before she could put on the new clothes. He dragged her to the double doors where he pulled out a set of keys and unlocked the door. He was quick with his motions as he shoved her through the door and slammed it shut and locked it quickly.

"Seriously... how do you do it?" Daften asked. His smirk seemed to not want to leave his face, while Griffin held an angered look. Griffin walked back over picking up Kat's things and placing them on the table next to her book. "Maybe it's because I'm not a traitor?" Griffin uttered in a bitter tone.

This made Daften narrow his eyes at Griffin. Griffin ignored Daften's gaze and picked up Kat's book once more looking over the pages. "You would be smart to hold your tongue." Daften stated. Griffin looked up from the book and over to Daften, "Or what?" he asked in a warning voice.

Just the two locked eyes their attention was quickly taken.

"Ready the sails!" A voice called from the deck.

They knew that was Beck's voice. This meant that they were done with the St. Anne and were about to leave soon. Griffin shook his head as he picked up Kat's things once again. He went over to the same chest he had gotten her new clothes from and placed the items inside. He locked the chest before heading to the deck with Daften. "This isn't over." Daften warned the navigator.

Seven took to the wheel on the quarter deck while Masa stood next to him. The remaining people on the St. Anne were Mathews, his officers and those that did not wish to take Masa up on his offer. All the ropes and lines were cut to make sure they are no longer attached to the St. Anne as the wind slowly but surely started to move them away from the wounded ship.

Katerina remained silent, anger and hatred welled deep in her heart. As he flipped through her book, her book of secrets, personal life, her accomplished heists, but she never wrote where where she kept her stolen goods. She watched with a blank, emotionless face as he put the pile of clothes in her arms. Her head whipped around to Draften, giving him a cold stare with icy eyes.

Katerina watched with interest as she watched Griffen snap at Daften, what was Griffen's history? He seemed to know about a thieves tricks. And Griffen didn't seem to take kindly to Daften. Katerina allowed herself to be dragged into the room and didn't turn around as Griffen locked it behind her, she then quickly spun around. She leaned against the door, listening to Daften and Griffen bicker, if she was going to be stuck on here, she was gonna make sure to make life miserable. For them.

Katerina dressed in the worn clothes and turned around to take in her surroundings. Taking notice of Alex looking out the window. Kat groaned, she couldn't think of how this could get any worse, but she was sure it would.  She raised her head as she heard the ship was leaving. Shit. She was officially stuck on here. She spun on Alex angrily. "We'll get along just fine if you don't speak to me." Kat said coldly, before looking around the room for anything that could be of use to her. To plan for a future escape.

Khaos watched as the men were hesitant to follow Rem, he rolled his eyes and shoved his way to the front following him over to the Black Ale the rest of the men trailing behind. He looked around curious of the charred wood and burned sails 'interesting' he thought as they were led to the lowest part of the ship and towards the far back. 'Cells of course.' he thought, escaping with Alexandra would be more difficult than he thought. He wondered if their little lie had worked, he certainly hoped so more for his sake since he was part of that lie but then again the Black Ale crew didn't know what happened in the captain's quarters before they broke in. He groaned not wanting to give up every item on it and he reluctantly put in a compass, a contract, and a map before entering the cell along with the other men. He found it interesting they would be allowed to have their meals top side and at least that was better than nothing. Three days, that could go by quick but the name didn't sound familiar to him and so he was quite curious to where exactly they were going.

Alexandra was staring out the window looking out at the water not paying attention to the bickering outside the door until she heard it open and saw Kat shoved inside. She started to walk over to her slightly concerned female to female being forced to undress before any male was a humiliation and one she could even understand. "Are you..." she started to say but fell silent at the sudden icy tone in Kat's voice. she sighed and looked away for a moment or two before looking back at her and watching look around the room. "Are you okay?" She finally asked, her tone was soft and genuine. It was definitely far from the Alexandra she may have heard about or even heard herself. Alex spoke to Kat as though she was speaking to her sister she wasn't sure why, perhaps out of fear or perhaps the poor girl just had to undress before filthy pirates.

The girl still held nerves inside, at some point they would be let out or someone would come in and at some point they would figure out she was Alexandra Thrain if they hadn't figured it out already. She didn't know what to do in this situation, nothing bad ever happened to her. Most things were horror stories to her that never occurred it could possibly happen to her. Still she had to be brave, but she just didn't know how to be.

Katerina gasped at the sigh of the the treasure. She closed her mouth abd then opened it again, enough treasure and wealth to make even her head spin. Of all the pirates she had stolen from... This... This was almost 10 times the amount she had stolen. She had been right to attempt to steal from the Black Ale, the treasure nearly made her faint.

Katerina's thoughts were interrupted as she heard Alex open her mouth, Kat was about to snap at the girl again and spun around, anger in her face but the tone in Alex's voice, caused Kat to halt in her tracks. For a split second, Alex reminded Kat of her little sister, very eyes and the way she was genuinely so concerned about strangers. Then Kat also remembered seeing her sisters lifeless body on the floor, and shut down. For a split second, it seemed the gates to her heart opened, by just a sliver, but the closed, and Kat's eyes became cold and full of hate, but when she spoke, her tone was no loner icy

"I'm..Fine." Kat said in a hardened, serious tone. Kat looked away quickly, and began picking up and inspecting some of the treasure, murmuring things to herself about the treasure she was inspecting, clearly fascinated.

Once everyone was in the cells Rem looked over the St. Anne crew. He looked over the trunk full of stuff. He could care less about little things, he was mostly looking for weapons. But if they did have weapons they would either use them against one another or try to use them on the Black Ale crew. If they used them on the Black Ale crew... That would be their biggest mistake. Masa only made this kind of deal very rarely, and if one person fucked up... The whole lot paid for the mistake.

Rem locked up the cell doors before leaving. He could hear the call to raise the sails which meant they were leaving. He could recall seeing another ship in the water not too far from where they were. He wondered if Masa wanted to do anything about it. As Rem left he light a few lanterns for the men in the cells. Just because they had to be down here, did not mean they had to be denied light.... Besides, last time Masa did this, he made some of the men offers to join his crew. He might do that again this time around. Even some of the men on the Black Ale now were men from the last time Masa offered this.

Others either passed away or went to others ships at different ports. None had yet to join the real Black Ale crew... The king crew some of the men called it. Those who were truly loyal to Masa and the others part of the king crew were able to join the elite team. It was rare, but it did happen. He had seen successful contracts and bad ones. The bad ones always ended the same way... Those pledging their loyalty to Masa and truly not meaning it... They ended up in a pile of ash...

But those that had successful contracts... Well they would be on this ship till the day they die, or until Masa and that person agree to cut contract. Rem glanced to the palm of his right hand. There was the mark of his contract. A tattoo like mark of the Red King. It was also a sign of his power and not just a symbol of his loyalty.

But lately things have been.... 'different'.... And not in a good way.

Rem made his way up to the deck and spotted Masa standing next to the helm with Seven. Right now he was still himself. But there were times where the weight of the crown would get to him. For the most part that Rem had been sailing under Masa, things had been very simple. Stick to the code and things went smoothly. But this really had nothing to do with any code or pirate code... This was the side effect of being a King...

Or what some of the other crews from the other six Kings call it, 'the mad king'. If a King has been king for a certain amount of time, he starts to lose himself, and the power he holds starts to take over.

Rem let his eyes wander around the deck as he noticed Daften was now next to Masa and Griffin was making his way to Beck. The ship was now fully away from the St. Anne and was making it's way over to the other ship. Rem could only wonder what Masa had in mind. He would follow Masa to the ends of the earth and sea... But he would not dare to follow 'Masa the mad King'.

His eyes settled on Griffin, Griffin was the most loyal to Masa out of all of them. Which made Rem wonder if Griffin would follow the mad king as well? Vanguard or not.....

Katerina continued to get lost in the beautiful treasures the room was adorned with. She picked up an ring up, inspecting it. Lost ages ago.." Kat murmured to herself before loudly dropping it back where it had been. Katerina waited for the laughter of the pirates, the smell of alcohol, but none cake.

She had never seen anything like it. These weren't your average drunken pirates, they were loyal... Well most from what she'd heard. Serious. Katerina didn't like it one bit, it would be much harder to flee sober pirates. She wondered where they were going now. She also wondered why she lived. Maybe it had something to do with the feather.

Kat at still had her back to Alex as she shuffled through the treasures, inspecting multiple pieces of treasure and weighing  there worth. Katerina spoke up, curious. "So how does somebody in your status end up in such a situation, dear? Traveling across the seas for a sense of adventure? Tired of being a noble shut in? A pen pale nobleman across the sea?" Katerina said with a smirk, her tone sly and amused.

Alex had silently been watching her pick through the treasure, Sure it was far more treasure than she had seen but riches were something she was slightly used to. "hmm" her eyes stared at Kat as she spoke to her and she couldn't help but laugh, the very idea of a pen pale nobleman from across the sea. Now that would have been an interesting tale. "My family started doing a lot more traveling a few years ago, my father grew into some sort of business man... what the business is I do not know." she said going over and sitting on the bed. "i was to meet my father at Covington Port, I don't even know all the details." she said simply and looked down. "I sometimes wish I was a noble shut in, I know hings I didn't want to know..." she said with a shudder.

She looked up at Katrina watching her carefully "What about you? Of course i know the navigator's lie got you into this mess but you were a stow away, why?" she asked curiously as her  hands brushed through her short hair. She really wasn't over the fact that they just cut her hair and probably for no good reason either.

Kat nodded, still not looking at her but the treasures, picking up a necklace and inspecting it before harshly dropping it. She wondered what business her father was involved, if she didn't know it was probably on the more darker side.

"Then prepare yourself dear, things are about to get on a much darker side then what you've seen.."Katerina said in a rather condescending tone, shaking her head. Katerina turned and began to pace around the room. "Not a stowaway, but a thief dear. Perhaps you've heard of the Sparrow?" Katerina asked her, she'd be surprised if she didn't, considering she was wanted in most places.

Alex looked at her as she picked up a necklace and then dropped it back on the ground she tensed at her words 'prepare yourself dear' she thought and groaned the very idea that things were about to take a much darker turn made her nervous. She noticed the tone in her voice and slightly glared at her but said nothing about it. "Aren't you frightened at all?" she asked quietly standing up and walking over to book shelf. She paused for a moment and turned towards her "Yes, I do believe I have heard about the Sparrow among my previous travels. I never suspected it to be a woman though." she stated matter of fact.

Her fingers traced the binding of some of the books, one could tell a lot about a person how they took care of there books. Some were more well worn then others but not much damage. Worn was a good sign and she picked up one of the worn books knowing it meant it was frequently read. She turned it over examining before turning it right side up and carefully opened it skimming through the words.

"Well this is quite the predicament we found ourselves in" A raspy voice produced from Khaos lips

"Better than death." came the murmured response

"True.... so what now? Since they have the girl how are we ever going to get paid." Shadow pouted.

This was the talk between one man and himself as he sat in the corner of the cell looking at nothing in particular. The few men who were there groaned in displeasure it was annoying but on the St. Anne they didn't have to hear it and stayed away from him. Here they were in close quarters being forced to listen to the conversation back and forth and Khaos acting as though someone was actually there speaking to him. "Enough already!" One of the men yelled quickly losing patience as he charged Khaos ready to lay his fist into him. Two other men stopped him "Calm down... " they coaxed the man into calming down pushing him over to the other side of the cell.

Khaos watched with a confused expression on his face "I guess he doesn't like you Shadow." he said with a shrug.

"Who does?" was the response before he and khaos went silent.

Gareth stood quietly in a corner of the bar, sword at his hip, knives hidden across his person, rifle slung across his back, and pistols a plenty strapped to his chest. All in all, if things went perfectly, he'd have 16 shots. With a grand total of 8 double barreled pistols, two strapped on his chest, two on his hip (one being above the sword) and another one on each shoulder. It took far to long to reload after each shot, so just firing the gun twice then grabbing a new one was just a lot easier. Then again, the trouble Novis gets in sometimes meant he wouldn't have enough shots for the people she pissed off and so meant he'd have to get in there himself, hence the sword and knives in case he lost his sword for some unforeseen reason.

He was keeping a firm eye on the source of his problems at that moment. Why he let her drag him on this adventure was beyond him, yet here he sat. He always keeps telling himself that he'd leave the next day. But he always woke up and stayed. One of these days he'd die for staying with her for as long as he did. He could only be lucky so many times. And eventually his luck would run out and he'd be dying on the ground, or wherever really. He doubted it'd be in a bed, though.

While Gareth enjoyed the corner of the bar Novis didn't pause for a second as she walked straight up to ask for another glass of ale. She wasn't anywhere close to drunk, but she had taken in her fair share of booze that evening. The words Light Drinker and Novis didn't really go together well. Gareth knew well, as he had pulled her out of many a bar fights. As she next glass of sweet alcohol slid into her hands, Novis walked back over towards Gareth. He looked like he was already on edge.

"Relax buddy. I ain't gonna start any fights. Yet." She added, the sweet liquor easing down her throat in one quick gulp. She had her glass in one hand, and the other was fiddling with her dreads. "Besides, no one here is near interesting enough to start a fight with. Probably a bunch of pansies with their knickers in a twist." She said, getting a few glares from the men around her. Swallowing again, Novis sighed. "Any news of interest? We should be heading out for our next target within the next two days. If we stay too long we might get in some deeper trouble than you would enjoy. Then again you might need to sharpen your aim after such a long time."

Katerina smirked at Alexandra's groan, even though it was true, it was a small win. An idea popped into her head. Surely there was a knife in here, or a least something sharp to pick a lock with. Right? Kat began shuffling through the treasure, looking for a blade or hair pick. Katerina paused to listen to Alex and  smirked at her doubt. Katerina shook her head in a knowing manner. "Frightened? Fear is not real, dear. It is a product of thoughts you create." Kat said wisely before turning around and looking at Alexandra, who had her back to her, flipping through a book. Kat added "Oh but do not misunderstand me, danger is very real. But fear is a choice."

Katerina turned around and continued to look for something sharp. Of course she wouldn't pick the lock on the door now, but when they got to land. If she found one that is. Kat then decided to answer her second statement. "Exactly. Not many would suspect a woman could pass off as a famous theif. Not many think a woman could do anything more then the basics, make food, clean, give a man a child, or give a man a good time. Most man sees another man with a weapon and think, stay away, kill them, or recruit them. They see a woman with a weapon and they laugh... Or kill her." She added with a small chuckle. "Don't know why they didn't kill me though. I would've." She finished, amused. And continued to look through the pile of wealth.

Alex paused in her reading as she listened to Kat's words. Fear was a choice and apparently it was hers. She laughed some at her little statement about women only because she knew that it was true. She closed the book putting it back on the shelf and turned towards her looking at her very carefully. "I never got your name... although I'm sure you already know mine." she said softly and watched as the woman dug around the treasure. She tilted her head rather curious. "What are you searching for?" she asked starting to get a little annoyed with all the movement. She herself started to look around the ground curious to what she might be missing. Her last statement puzzled her she had a good point "Perhaps they kept you alive because you are a woman." she suggested with a shrug.

"Nothing." he told her flat out. "But I did find out the name of several traders. Whatever slaves this place has were imported, and they might help us find out which trader shipped them." As he spoke he glared at the people that Novis had offended, daring them to try and do something. "I don't know what their ships are called or where they usually stay, that's the only reason I say 'nothing'." Not knowing did frustrate him a little bit. Everyone was real tight lipped about that information, but the names of those traders were everywhere. Guess they were important enough to know about, and for outsiders to not know where they are.

Katerina smiled at Alexandra's laugh, amused she found it funny. Kat smirked at her request for her name. She turned around for a moment, shaking her finger at her as if she were teaching a small child a lesson and spoke "A thief never gives away their identity." Katerina's tone was strict, condescending and slight scolding as she said that, but her eyes we're amused. Katerina turned back around and picked up an expensive looking comb, inspecting it to see if it would be useful.

Not it bothering to look at Alex Kat spoke "I indeed know who you are. And in a short time, so will the pirates, now that they know my identity... Well somewhat. Just don't give them information they don't ask for, you'll stay alive longer." Kat advised her. Kat ignored her question as to what she was doing. The less she knew, the better. Kat raised her eyebrow at the woman comment suggestion from Alex, and chose to answer that instead. "I hope it's not because I'm a woman. That would make for a rather boring trip, don't you agree?"

Kat said with a chuckle, having a darker sense of humor. "You onow.." Kat continued, "Not one single person knows my name? It's better that way, leverage and all. The less you know the better." Kat said with an amused grin before turning to her with raised eyebrows "I don't suppose you have a knife or anything?" She asked in question.

As the Black Ale left the St. Anne the ship started to sway as they gained speed. Masa stood on the quarterdeck with Seven at the helm. He watched as Rem and Daften ran about with the crew. He looked over to find Griffin and Beck watching the St. Anne from the port side. They already had their orders and would follow through with them once the Black Ale was far enough away from the St. Anne. Masa let his eyes trail over the water where he spotted another ship in the distance. He already knew of it's presents, and if he didn't have a full hull he would have attacked that ship too. So instead he told Seven to just sail for home.

Seven nodded as he turned hard on the wheel getting the sails to fully fill up with the natural wind.

As they sailed away and soon were in a good enough distance from the St. Anne Masa looked over to Beck and Griffin. "I think it's about time we 'clean up'." He told them.

Griffin nodded as he climbed up on the side of the rail and held onto the netting ropes that lead to the rafters. He leaned over using one hand to keep him from falling off the ship and his other hand reached out in the direction of the St. Anne.

Out the window of the captain's quarters, one could see the St. Anne sitting peacefully in the far distance. The sun was now setting leaving a very pleasant image one would only see in a painting. But without warning the St. Anne busted into flames. A large explosion made the windows of the Black Ale rattle a little. The flames grew high above the St. Anne leaving nothing left of the ship, or what was left slowly started to sink under the water.

Griffin looked over to Beck before letting himself land back onto the deck safely. Beck watched as what was left of the St. Anne slowly but surely disappear. The two left the side of the ship and headed up to the quarterdeck to meet with Masa. Masa said nothing as he lead the two into the first larger room of his quarters. It was about time they got this other matter settled with. Hopefully they could do this before the kitchen was done cooking their meals for the night.

Masa took his seat at the head of the table. "Let's get this over with." he stated as Beck locked the main door to the captain's quarters. They would make sure the girls had no where to run.

Griffin went over to the second room and unlocked the doors. He opened both of them before looking around and finding the two girls. "Lets go..." He told them as he stepped aside from the doors hoping they would comply and not make things difficult.

"Woah, I've never seen a gun like this before!" An overly excited voice came from beside the man at the bar as a short skinny boy was holding one of the pistols in his hand, inspecting it in awe, "It's a two-shot one, right? I've only seen a pistol  that shoots once!" He smiled as he looked it over, looking down the barrel of the weapon ignorantly, seemingly unaware or uncaring for what may accidentally come firing out of the end. Of course, he was described as short because he was for his age, that being 16. And he was skinny because, well, both his training and stowing away on a ship demanded him not to eat for prolonged periods of time. Now though, he'd eat as much as he wanted. Or rather, he would if he had any money; he was still yet to get a job and have his first meal that he'd paid for on the island, but that was okay. He'd made a few friends already, namely the owner of the bar, and they'd given him some stuff to eat every so often. Speaking of which, he still had yet to pay them back for that.

Back to the idiocy at hand, Kypher now pointed the gun around, waving it at the men and laughing as they flinched. It sure must be a scary thing, being able to kill someone all by yourself from so far away. In his world, the only way to kill a person was in the holy battle of close combat martial arts, not through contraptions that slung steel balls for a quick, effective and cheap method of ending one's life. Kypher secretly hoped that he would not be eventually killed by a gun, but by another who could engage him in martial arts, although his skills were very rare. It was very unlikely that another person that was capable of besting a man in combat through unarmed means would come along, but if they did then he was determined to fight them in glorious battle. It was his destiny.

Alex looked at her and rolled her eyes "of course" she retorted to her not giving away her true name. She had a point though a thief would never give away their true name. She tensed at the thought the pirates would soon learn that Kat was not her and she was not Matthews daughter. She looked down taking her advice don't say more than they ask... stay alive. She sighed and looked back out the window seeing the St. Anne drifting in the distance. "hmm" she said turning to face Kat "umm." she said feeling around the pockets of her clothes "No.." she answered and gasped hearing the window rattle she spun back around only to see the once beautiful St. Anne was no on fire. Her hand cupped over her mouth she could only imagine that they were all left on the ship... and they were all now dead. As much as she didn't like them she was still sad to know they all died and they all died because of her.

Her attention was quickly turned to the door as it opened and one of the pirates stood aside to let them come out. Alexandra wasn't sure what to do and so she looked at Kat since she was closer to the door and waited for her move and would simply follow along.
