Alx slowly woke up as the sun hit her eyes. Groaning softly, she got up and closed her curtains completely before heading to her bathroom. After getting a relaxing shower, she got out and wrapped her towel around her going to her closet. She spent a few minutes looking for something to wear, but then again, what girl didn't. She settled on a pair of black ripped skinny jeans and a grey shirt. After pulling them out, she sat down on her bed and painted her nails black. Once she let them dry, she got dressed, securing her jeans with a black and grey studded belt and went over to her mirror before drying her hair and curling it slightly. She thought for a minute before pulling out a drawer and pulling out a pair of suspenders. Giggling softly to herself, she put them on, shrugging a sleeveless jean jacket on over them and nodded as she started doing her makeup. She finished and put on her shoes, then put on her black beanie and smiled in satisfaction at the final product.

Andrew was sitting on his bed checking his phone and got up tiredly and went into the bathroom splashing some ice cold water on his face. He spat out some water that he accidentally got in his mouth and started checking his messages as he brushed his teeth quickly. He went to knock on Red's bedroom door to see if he woke up yet but was too lazy to wait for him to answer the door. He threw on a dark hoodie and some skinny jeans and carried his skateboard downstairs. "Hey dad." He said and chewed on a piece of toast that was in the toaster.


"Morning kid, Your brother up yet?" His dad said looking over to him.


"Tsh, it'll be like another 7 hours before he wake up." Andrew said sarcastically and continued munching on his toast.

Red trampled the cigaret bud under his shoe and checked to see if the coast was clear before he climbed up the side of the house and through his window. He tip toed to the bathroom to brush his teeth and sneaked back into his bedroom. He pulled of his shirt and dropped himself like a corp on his bed before rolling himself up in the dark sheets and placing his head on the pillow a couple of times before he was comfortable.


No one needed to know where he had been last night and he wants to keep it that way. Red set his alarm to 1 pm and closed his eyes. That would give him 4 to five hours of sleep if his brother or father didn't wake him up for something stupid.

Alx ran downstairs, knowing she had to work later on, and went into the kitchen. After cooking herself and her mother breakfast, she fixed a couple plated and sat down at the table. The next thing she knew, something fluffy jumped in her lap and started yapping. She laughed lightly and pet the small puppy. "It's okay Lacy," she said softly to soothe the eight-week-old husky. She fed her a small piece of bacon and sat her back on the floor before quickly eating as her mother told her about her dad getting remarried in a month. Sighing softly she looked down. "That means I'm gonna need a new dress," she said quietly to herself. Getting up, she kissed her mother's cheek and sat her plate in the sink.

"Don't you and your brother have work tomorrow?" Andrew's dad said looking over to him.


"Eh, I don't know, I'll have to check." He said with his mouth full. He grabbed his phone and started walking out the door.


"Uh...Where do you think your going mister? I better not see you with bruises when I come back from work." He said with a serious expression. Andrew ignored him and continued walking out the door and skateboarded as he listened to songs on his phone.

The boys' dad walked up to Red's room and knocked on the door, before opening it. "Red, come one get up, son."


Red just groaned and turned on his side, but before he knew, a shoe was thrown at his head, waking him up and giving him a headache. "Hey, what the fuck, old man?!" He jolted up in, meeting the deadly glare of his father.


"Did you fight again?" Ray, the boys' father, asked in a growl when he saw the bruise on his son's jaw, the split lip and eyebrow. "Damn it, boy, I've told you a thousand time-"


"Leave it, dad. I know what you're going to say so drop it!" Red said irritated and got out of bed, he pulled on some random shirt and stuck up a cigaret. "You also should know that I don't give a rat's ass about you and your stupid rules. Maybe that's why mom left." He said as he knocked shoulders with his father as he headed out the door.


"You know really well that that has nothing to do with it!" His father snapped, but before the man could give his oldest another scolding and some sort of punishment, Red was already out the door.


Red stuck his hands in his pockets, he blew out smoke through his nose and left the house. He only had a couple of minutes sleep so he was going to visit his favorite coffee place.

Alx smiled and pet the puppy before walking out the door with her wallet in tow. She yawned softly and ran her fingers through her hair before deciding to walk to her destination. She kept her eyes down on the sidewalk and started humming her show for later on that night. She nodded her head and closed her eyes as she became more focused on the songs. She heard a skateboard, but by the time she looked up, it was too late she found herself on the ground, the breath being knocked out of her.

Andrew heard a thump behind him and quickly jumped off his skateboard and saw a girl on the ground. "Oh, I'm so sorry about that." He said and tried to help to girl up. He picked up her wallet and handed it to her. "Are you okay?" He asked looking over to her as he held his skateboard under his arm.

Alx slowly made her back to her feet and took her wallet. She brushed herself off and smiled. "It's fine. Nothing that hasn't happened before," she said once she finished. She looked over herself, not seeing any cuts, so she looked back up at the stranger. "Sorry I wasn't watching where I was going," she apologized, the smile unwavering.

Andrew smiled. "Well, I was about to apologize back again for my bad skateboarding navigation but I'm just gonna shut up and accept your apology. So where you headed anyway?" He asked brushing back a few strands of his hair. The girl seemed pretty nice, although Andrew wanted to get to know her a bit more. He didn't have many friends that were girls that he hung out with. I mean, a boy and a girl could be friends right?

"The mall. I need to get something out of the way so I won't have to deal with it for the rest of the month," Alx said simply. She ran her fingers through her hair before turning and walking in the direction she was going. Whether he followed or not was his choice and she couldn't control it. He seemed pretty nice and all so why not get to know him?
