The year is 2015, the location Tokyo/Japan. Year after year the same high-schools have faced each other in various tournaments ranging from the Interhighs to the Winter Cup, but in the midst of all these battles for glory a new High has emerged from the ground: Gurren High. As of right now the presence of their basketball team has gone ignored by the masses and it's up to you to change that. You'll be assuming the role of one of the students assisting Gurren, whether you face your rivals in the court or support you teammates from the outside it's up to you. You must fight your way up to the top, but the road will be filled with powerful adversaries. Do you have what it takes to emerge victorious? Or will you throw the towel after the first quarter?

The girls can also wear normal pants instead of a skirt if they so wish.

BOLD MEANS MAIN POSITION IS TOOK HOWEVER SOME SUBS WOULD BE NICE

For those of you who don't know basketball positions here they are.

In basketball there are five main positions. They are Shooting Guard (SG), Power Forward (PF), Short Forward (SF), Center © and Point Guard (PG)

Shooting Guard is the player who is going to be taking most of the shots. They stick to the outside of a formation and are typically rather tall.

Power Forward is the position that "drives" forward. A drive is when you move aggressively towards the basket. They will be playing very aggressively and are typically going to be average while defending.

The Short Forward is a player who would be a Power Forward but lacks the size of strength to be as aggressive. Instead they rely on quick and controlled movements to go to the hoop.

The Center is the player who is mainly defensive. They are not great shots but can stop a shot like there is no tomorrow. A Center is a massive person who typically is able to act as a decent Point Guard, should the Point Guard be acting in another postion.

The Point Guard is the team's "coach on the court." They know how and when to pass to players while also having a fairly good shot and an average ability to drive at the hoop. They start with the ball in a play and should have it most of the time.

If none of these struck your fancy, some players have been known to play a combination of two positions. Two of the best players in American history, Kobe Bryant and LeBron James are both what is known as a "Combo Guard." These are a Shooting Guard and a Power Forward. Essentially, they are the ultimate offensive player due to the sheer strength they have on offense. Many teams are built around a good Combo Guard IF you posses one. Many aspiring basket ball players want to be one, but are meant for other positions. This can cause many issues in small games.
