Name - Eleanor Barrett
Age - 20
Physical Description - A young woman of a slim standing and delicate features, Eleanor (in her mother’s opinion: should already be married.) She has elbow length auburn hair that’s usually in soft curls. Her skin is a porcelain shade and no matter the amount of makeup, her soft, blushed features can rarely be hidden. Her eyes are a mix between green and hazel. Eleanor has rather bold, darker eyebrows that are neatly maintained.
Standing at about 5’7, Eleanor isn’t considered short- nor overly tall. She usually adds about an inch to her height when wearing heeled shoes. The majority of her dresses are in a dark green shade, as that is Eleanor’s favourite colour.
Personality - Eleanor is a painfully independent person. One who prefers to take matters into her own hands, her boldness often leads to being scolded by her parents. It may have also had an influence in the fact that she was not immediately married off at 17, perhaps her parents believed she might mellow out.
Also a fan of attention, Eleanor likes to speak- a lot. She likes to share her knowledge of literature, generally on the unsuspecting and unimpressed. Through this, she also seeks approval, but rarely receives it through such a manner.
Finally, though Eleanor tries to keep up a confident and strong demeanour. Words often get to her, and remain in her thoughts for weeks to come if they’re particularly hurtful. She tries her hardest to keep this from those around her.
Backstory - Daughter to an Earl and Countess, Eleanor lived an overly comfortable life. She’s the youngest of seven children, of which five have been married off. Her older brother, Charles lives at home with her- but is rarely in the house. She believes that her childhood was that of a normal child, just- perhaps with nicer things. Eleanor was technically tutored from home, alongside her brothers and sisters. The education was primarily for her brothers, but the tutors had no objection to the girls sitting in occasionally. Thus sparking Eleanor’s passion for literature.

Physical Description – He’s got broad shoulders and a hunched posture due to his lanky height at 6’1”. He’s muscly but pretty slim and fast and his skin is rough and weathered, especially on his hands. He has a slim tanned face with sunken cheeks, large black eyebrows, dark brown eyes and thin lips. His black hair is wildly curly and sits on the top of his head like a messy bush.
Backstory – He grew up on the seas as his father was a sailor for the navy. He was around twelve years old when his father got a job overseas so the whole family packed up to leave, however, on the way they encountered a pirate ship that blew their crew to shreds. Both his parents died and he was taken by the pirates.
Once they docked, the pirates tried to sell him for money, but he escaped and disappeared into the crowds of people. He never got a formal education past basic reading and writing and instead lived on the run, stealing what he could to survive, including many ships to skip countries if he got too well known. He’s been in so many tough situations and been captured so many times yet managed to get out of them which earned him the nickname ‘Nine Lives’ as he always managed to pull off incredible stunts in order to get away.
He’d been living in England for two years before the new queen was crowned and managed to stay relatively under the radar, becoming someone only the soldiers and other criminals knew how many crimes he’d committed.
Personality – He’s a joker and always makes fun of whatever situation he’s in to take away the seriousness of it. He can give as good as he gets and has a down-to-earth nature about him that makes it easy for him to accept criticism and laugh at himself if things go wrong. He’s got a blasé attitude to his own safety and well-being, which is how he got his nickname, and often scares people with how close he’s willing to come to death. He could be seen as brave, but he’s more selfish than that.
He’s happy to go along with people just for the ride and isn’t too bothered about who’s in charge as long as they don’t impact the people he likes, then he’ll get rid of them.
