The Banner Saga is an epic role-playing game created by Stoic Games and inspired by Viking legend. It portrays a world eerily suspended in perpetual twilight. Cities and towns begin to crumble into chaos over threat by the dredge, large stone beings of unknown origin. Heroes abandon their hearths and homes to traverse the snowy countryside, gaining allies along the way to help battle a strange, new threat.
This roleplay, taking place in The Banner Saga universe, exists just after The Bellower, and ancient dredge of unknowable power was defeated by a coalition of Varl and Humans. The countryside is stirring. Varl are scattered, their capitol destroyed. Humans are returning to their homes to rebuild. Remaining Dredge are splintered in small groups across the continent, while a Centaurian race emerging from the South begin to populate the region. In these changing times, little is certain. The Banners of the world's clans fly high on this day of piece, but how long before they are all burned to the ground.
You'll be part of a group of travelers known as The Kriger Sol Borealis. A mix between public defenders, mercenaries, and bandits.
Hello, everyone, this roleplay will use a dice system identical to the one in the game. I'll be going over that system once the thread is up, but for now feel free to ask any questions you have in OOC.
