But for some, that isn’t enough. The Darkling is rising, on a mission to take back the True World and enslave the human race. The rebel faction Daybreak is all that stands between him and world domination. What side will you join? Shadowfall, or Daybreak?

Name: Jonathan Haber

Age/DOB: 24 years old. Born October 29th, 1997.

Power: Chlorine Elemental. He can transform some or all of his body into chlorine gas and control chlorine.

Sexuality: Heterosexual

Faction: Shadowfall

Background: Jonathan is the descendant of German immigrants who moved to America after World War I. He showed a sadistic streak as a child, using his powers to kill small animals, cause cars to crash, and eventually landed in a juvenile prison before being broken out by the Darkling's minions. Since then he's worked for the Darkling and doesn't regret it at all.

Personality: Jonathan is friendly even while murdering people. It's really creepy. He believes in the Darkling's plans and does his part to further them.

Name: Cassius Lee Vander (The Darkling). No one knows his true name but him.


Age/Dob: 19. January 7, 2002.


Power: Dark Elemental.


Sexuality: Straight.


Partner: None yet.


Faction: Leader of Shadowfall.


Background: The Darkling has been famous since he was seven and first discovered his powers. Augments everywhere, especially Elementals, were amazed by the fact that he had a new power. At first, he was admired… Then studied. He was separated from his friends and family, and forced to show off his abilities to the council. He lived in a government facility for years, studied until he was eighteen.


It was then he broke free of his prison and found a deep hatred for the Augment Government, as well as humans. He tried to return home to his parents, only to find out they had been killed in the True World by muggers. An awful and pathetic way to die, but neither of their powers were violent. They couldn’t protect themselves. In a fit of rage, The Darkling decided to spite the council and destroy the humans (Classic two birds one stone scenario) he began to raise an army of followers to take over the True World. Finding followers wasn’t hard. Everyone wanted to follow the Shadow King.


Personality: The Darkling is a surprisingly kind man. Yes, he is feared. And for good reason. But it’s really just a power play. He is ruthless and will stop at nothing to succeed, but that does not mean he isn’t good to his own people. His followers are treated well and anyone who gets to know him will find he’s very charming. Kind even. But when it comes to tough decisions, he will not hesitate.

Background: Reyna grew up with a pretty normal life. Loving parents, a good school, freedom to be herself. As a child she could ask for nothing better. Like most Energa, Reyna was accepted on her eighteenth birthday into Department of Supernatural Secrecy (DSS.) Because Energa’s take away powers they are excellent at apprehending criminals. Reyna is no exception. Although she is just starting out she is an excellent agent. Her job is to make sure no Basic finds out about The Other or Augments, and if they do then her partner (A Manipulator) will wipe their minds of it. She also arrests anyone who tries to expose their kind. ((PM me if you’d like to play as her partner, if not I will make a sheet and play as her as well.))



Personality: She is normally very serious, and when she does decide to make a joke it’s probably sarcastic. She can be a pain in the ass if she wants to be, and is relentless to get he way. She like to flaunt her powers, and doesn’t care who it upsets. Bottom line, don’t mess with Reyna. Or she’ll mess with you.

Skills: She’s great at being a giant thorn in everyone’s side. She can tell if someone is lying almost flawlessly. She also loves to draw, and is pretty dang good.

Strengths: She is very stubborn. Her opinion cannot be changed. She is also very confident in herself.


Weaknesses: When she gets close to someone she can’t hurt them. No matter what she just can’t.

Background : Adreana was adopted by a very rich family full of basics , since she was a child she lived a life of luxury, and even in a modern time she was treated like a princess and because of that she badly adjusted to the ways of normal people. She went to all the best schools in her country but dropped out in college , she was becoming unstable , she didn't feel like herself , something was taking over her and day by day she became more and more aggressive that's when she found out about her powers , the day she accidentally harmed one of her loved ones, she didn't understand it ,her family didn't understand it , but that was the first time she was met with a manipulator , and everything was back to normal, since then shes learned about others like her but she kept it a secret that she wasn't like the other shapeshifters , she was more stronger than them all but lacked qualities most of them had. she has less endurance and cant stay in her form for long , and so far she only has one form shes able to be as

She isn't very informed about the factions since she chooses to live her life with basics , but that will most likely change soon.

Personality : Adreana is the sweetest person there is, shes kind and gentle and always looks out for others , she is socially awkward , and doesnt understand alot because she was fed with a diamond spoon , but she tries and is very open minded, although that quickly changes the less frequently she uses her powers for some reason , becoming angry , primal , and having bloodlust.

Background: Catherine has lived in The Other for as long as she can remember. She lived with her father throughout her childhood, living a fairly normal life. She and her small group of friends jokingly called themselves the "Daybreak" growing up, using the name in various circumstances as their guild name in a video game, or a group name for a talent show. Though they eventually grew apart throughout their lives, they stayed in contact with each other. However, when the group known as the "Darkling" made themselves public, only Catherine, being the most powerful of her friends, thought she should do something about it. The rest of them, being generally non-combatant style Augments, stayed on the sidelines, wanting to keep their normal lives.

Personality: Catherine is a natural leader, being bold-often too much so for her own good. She's optimistic for the most part and is almost never willing to leave one of her friends behind. Catherine is a social butterfly, wanting to make friends with anyone she meets eyes with. This has wavering success, sometimes resulting in her making a friend and sometimes resulting in someone blowing her off very soon after meeting her.

Skills: Catherine is great at making friends, rallying a crowd, and raising the morale of those who look up to her. Although useless in this day and age, she's more than competent at acting, dancing, and singing.

Name: Kira Koal

Background: There was something dire in the way her parents enforced the rules. A soft child, full of laughter and delight, Kira wanted nothing more than to be joy; that which epitomized and spread it. So, she listened, even when questions remained deliberately unanswered. This left her feeling unsatisfied, the growing restlessness dampening her spirit. How could she keep her beloved parents happy while contenting she herself? The answer came as a simple, off-hand comment made in-context of her friend's boyfriend: "What he can't know won't hurt him," he'd said with a flick of his wrist.

While Kira tried convincing her mate why such a notion would backfire, deep inside her mind, a seedling of thought sprout. In his context, it wasn't a good idea. But with her parents... They were afraid, of something, but what did they need to be afraid of if they believed she was following their rules? As long as she could return unscathed, same as usual, who'd be the wiser?

Kira found her own kind of freedom in the night. So much so she began to revel in it. Even as it took its toll on her day-performance, an inevitable nap in class from lack of sleep was worth the newfound joy in this freedom.

When Kira was eighteen, ready to leave the home, all the world looking like one large oyster, it was then they revealed to her everything. The Other, Augments, their own abilities and why they'd been so strict and so fearful all of Kira's life. It was something unbelievable, out of a fantasy book, but it made sense. Their rules, and, more than that, little things... Why Kira had been known by friends to have a 'sixth sense' about those who were physically hurt or ill, or why those around her had said things like her 'positive attitude' or her 'warmth' seemed to keep them in high spirits. It had nothing to do with attitude or perception. She was an Augment. An Aerona, as she learned from her parents as the revealed a whole other world.

They had felt disconnected, in The Other, isolated. Between the two of them, they had opted for the True World in hopes of something more.

The weight of their secret finally hit Kira.

It was not an easy conversation, nor a short one, but eventually Kira assured them that she understood the rules of Exposure, and would live a life that wouldn't jeopardize any of them, herself included.

This changed Kira without her intention. A girl who used to go out a lot, she came to be drawn by the safety of a clear mind and the familiarity of her own space. She wasn't isolated in any sense, the internet bringing the world to her. She kept old friends and made new, found a major to pursue and a place to work. Yet, somewhere in the depths of her mind, she craved a life without secrets. A world where the hidden world her parents told her about no longer had to hide. A world where her parents didn't need to be stifled by fear. A world where she...

It was no surprise she gravitated towards a group called 'Daybreak' upon hearing of their ideals. Though she's yet to meet any of the members, Kira considers herself loyal to their, and equally her, cause.

Personality: A sunny girl radiating with warmth, Kira is compassionate but sensible. Part of her enjoys the feeling of joy that comes from fun, while another part of her enjoys the escape. She is considerate, yet considered by friends not the easiest or best to talk about deep, heavy subjects. To them, Kira's the girl who'll take you out to dance the night away to get over your ex. Ice-cream or coffee over a long-night talk? Not-so-much.

Faction (Daybreak, Shadowfall, or none.) : Shadowfall

Background: Efi was born in Ethiopia, True World to a family of merchants. Her mother and father were from different clans, stable at first, but outcasted for their forbidden courtship. They found their way to a less local city where Efi was born. Her entire childhood was spent caring for her friends and focusing on studies, training to be as charismatic and charming as her parents had to be in their occupation, although she knew it wasn't her path. Every day, news of Efi's therapy methods and healing touch grew, until soon enough, her father told her the truth.

He had suspected what Efi was since she was younger, but it hadn't hurt her or her family life so he kept it a secret. With her growing popularity he had grown paranoid that someone might attack their family - he couldn't bear the thought. The Subira bloodline had skipped three generations, but Efi's father was certain that she had brought back the Aerona augment. Her father pleaded for her to retreat to The Other when she was 23.

Five years have passed since she found solace in a world full of people like her but not a day has gone by that Efi hasn't thought about the world that could be with her parents by her side - a world where she could heal the people who needed it most. Since then she has joined Shadowfall and healed their injured in hopes of paving a path to a life where she can be herself freely and have that healing touch. She doesn't believe Daybreak will do anything to help Augments reenter society in the True World like the Darkling could.

Personality: Efi tries to see the good in everything, which helped in her membership in Shadowfall. She believes Daybreak is ostracizing the Darkling for his difference, something she refuses to see as anything but hypocritical in their statuses of Augments. She is kind and emphatically loyal to her family and friends.

Appearance: 5'11

Skills: Lying (although she doesn't enjoy it), haggling/bluffing, healing wounds of course

Occupation: Currently a resident healer for Shadowfall but wishes to be a psychologist to heal wounds she can't see

Likes: People! Any will do, she'll find the light in even the darkest places *wink*

Dislikes: Secrets, dishonesty, she promises to like you as long as you don't hide yourself

Strengths: Getting people to trust her, granting comfort in stressful/dangerous situations

Weaknesses: She doesn't take initiative in time of action, she works to heal the damage

Hobbies: When she isn't healing she takes to cooking. "You make the mouth happy, the mouth makes people happy!"

Sexuality: Boys only club.

Faction: None yet, but he isn't liking the look of an Elemental with pure darkness.

Background: Arturo realized at a very young age that working hard in life is too much of an expense of his precious effort. Why work to buy food or clothes when he can give the cashier fake money conjured from his mind? Unfortunately, Arty had almost no idea why or how he had obtained this power as he was left in the True World, Panama, as a child to fend for himself. When he was 12, however, he tried to beguile the wrong old woman - a rogue Energa who shook his hand and felt his power. She taught him about his power and of the other factions, The Other and its inhabitants.

Under her roof, his ability grew as did the bond between them. Arturo felt like he had a real mother, but at the age of 17 he received word that something dark was brewing in The Other; it was time for him to finally see the world he belonged to. He gained passage to The Other and discovered the existence of Shadowfall and the rising Daybreak...

Personality: Untrusting, Arturo usually uses fake names and has an active face mask on around crowds. Dripping with sarcasm and humor but doesn't like getting close to people. Soft spot for elderly people.

Skills: Stealing, getting away, blending in/disguise

Occupation: Vagrant

Hobbies: His honorary mother taught him crochet - don't bring it up unless you want to see stars (literally, and possibly for a few hours depending on how long he can keep it up)
