    Diana is a sort of simple person at heart—she’s bubbly, relaxed and go with the flow, not pausing to care too much about…just about anything going on around her, good or bad.
    
    She often cheerful, bordering on intense with a knack for blissful stubbornness that's so utterly frustrating. She's sarcastic, and wields dark humor like a blade, never taking anything too seriously on the surface. She's smart, and likes to analyze people. She has a horrible habit of not thinking before she speaks, and so many of her conversations are as hard to keep track of as she is.
    
    Tangents are sort of her thing.
    
    Her moods shift on a whim, dragging her from one point of attention to another as the wind blows. Hey, sorta like a dandelion seed. She tends to be impulsive, doing things in order of how much they interest her, instead of how important it is. Because of this, Diana is often late to places and forgetful of plans she’s made.
    
    She tends to be kind, and generous, never putting too much value on physical things. She’s had a lot taken from her in life, so she’s learned to separate her happiness from outside sources.
    
    Let’s not talk about her weed habits, though.

    Diana was born in SoCal to Henry and Nina Bishop. She doesn’t remember her mom at all really, as the woman died in a car accident when she was two.
    
    Being raised by a single dad was tough, but not bad. Her childhood was a relatively happy one, and Henry did everything in his power to make sure she was always as happy as possible.
    
    Without a female presence around while she grew, Diana was always the sort of kid to romp in the mud and go fishing with her dad, making friends with the boys at her school much more easily than the girls.
    
    She didn’t think that playing house and dress up was very fun—she’d rather be riding her best friend Carter’s four wheeler or playing kickball with her class.
    
    Her dad was her best friend, and the pair of them spent much of their free time out on the beach, glad they had the sand for a backyard. She learned to swim when she was only three, and began surfing—albeit under the careful eye of her dad—at the age of six.

    In high school, Diana began to more clearly note the absence of her mother. She went through breakups and the end of friendships, prom and graduation and all the tiny things…and she just wished she had a mom to talk to about it all.
    
    Her dad was great, sure, but he couldn’t give her advice when she had cramps, or boy problems or her dress tore.
    
    He was her date the the mother daughter dance her sophomore year. Nobody had been able to look away, their faces pressed with pity. It was as if people felt worse she was motherless than she did!
    
    Around this time, thanks to the woes of teenage-hood, Diana started…feeling different. Anxious, and sad. Her grades dipped—not terribly so, but enough that her father began to notice.
    
    He smoked her first joint with her. He’d started when her mother had died, he’d said, and it had helped him.
    
    He hadn’t thought she’d become so reliant on the plant. It was bullshit, what people said about weed not being addictive. It killed her anxiety and made her feel…less of everything. Happier. More content. Go with the flow.

    When Diana graduated, she was left unsure as to whether or not to go to school. On the one hand, it was something she’d been looking forwards to since she could remember. On the other, she didn’t want to leave her father by himself.
    
    She almost didn’t go.
    
    She sent in a few applications to schools last second, not really sure she’d get accepted to any of them. It was fine if she didn’t, she told herself.
    
    The first three letters back were rejections. And then…for two months, letters stopped arriving altogether. She’d almost given up hope.
    
    She had a job at the surf shop, she made decent enough money doing that, and besides it was right down the road from her home. Ideal, really.     Her first two years seemed to pass by in the blink of an eye. She missed her dad, and found that nightly FaceTimes calls weren’t enough to quell the occasional pangs of homesickness she felt.
    
    Diana did okay in school—homework sucked, parties were repetitive and the guys and girls she slept with…she just wasn’t feeling anything anymore. There were no connections there, no spark when she met someone new.
    
    Towards the end of Diana’s sophomore year, however, she met Max. He was charming, and funny, and for once, she had finally made that connection she’d been craving. The only problem? He was as emotionally unavailable as the next, content for them to sleep together and spend time with each other, but never daring to address what was between them. She was pretty sure she was in love with him.
    
    He ended things the week before Valentine’s Day her Junior year. Started dating this Ukrainian model a few days after that. She’d never thought she had been the problem until then, but now…
    
    At least she had her bong to keep her company. Spring break rolled around, and the university was planning this trip to Cabo, Mexico. Anyone from their school could go, they’d stay at a resort for the two weeks they’d be there.
    
    There weren’t many names on the sign up list. Good—the smaller the group the better.
    
    She’d forgotten about the trip until she revived an email a week before they were to leave alerting her about the flight.

    hair: amber sports sleek, shoulder-length black hair that she leaves down most of the time, but she’s been known to pull it back into loose up-dos achieved with the help of claw clips when she doesn’t want to deal with it.
    eyes: dark brown and one of her best methods of intimidation, amber’s almond-shaped eyes have almost a sleepy quality when she’s not irritated—a somewhat rare occurrence. they’re almost always lined in black, her long eyelashes adding to her signature smoky wing.
    body modifications: amber’s pale skin is decorated with a variety of patchwork-style tattoos, some of them done by friends, most by herself, and very few done professionally, though no one would know—she wears them with pride, and any sloppiness can easily be overlooked when her confidence is at work.
    style: black and leather are a staple of amber’s day-to-day wardrobe, though she loves incorporating the occasional bold pattern, too. anything that looks like it would’ve been worn by a rockstar’s girlfriend in the 1990s is fair game. she’s not the biggest fan of accessorizing—usually, a simple necklace or a pair of silver earrings will do, but if the occasion calls for it, she has a fun collection of chunky jewelry to choose from. of course, no outfit of hers would be complete without a pair of platform boots to finish off the ensemble.

    amber is the perfect storm—wildly unpredictable and destructive, with moments of calm in between to lull one into a false sense of security and distract from the way she drowns those around her in her wake.
    
    at first glance, she seems like lots of fun—amber’s quick-wit and penchant for not taking things too seriously account for her humor, which seemingly draws people in, along with her devil-may-care confidence and easygoing charm. she lives in search of the next thrill, something to occupy her restless mind, and she’s all too happy to take others along for the ride, giving little to no thought to any future repercussions. her recklessness is the last thing to be worried about, though, once one dives deeper below the surface, beneath the snarky remarks and playful touchiness.
    
    amber is a lone wolf at heart—her independent spirit trumps almost all human need for companionship. while she’s perfectly happy to maintain the superficial relationships for a stretch, until they no longer benefit her, she has a line she never crosses. she keeps everyone at arm’s length, only allowing them to see and know what she sees fit. she’s a seasoned expert at driving people away for the sake of protecting herself—she’s known abandonment one too many times and has found it’s much more palatable to be the one pushing people away than to be the one left behind. it’s all too easy for her to flip that switch: mindless teasing becomes biting words, the shoulder she’d once offered as a place to rest while wiping tears of mirth now turned cold and unforgiving. amber’s distrusting nature keeps her on her toes, and in turn those around her; she’s always one wrong word or misplaced action away from lashing out and closing herself off completely to the people who made the mistake of assuming her to be their friend.

    it’s no surprise that amber doesn’t place much value on companionship—she was doomed from the start.
    
    born to unhappily married parents in new jersey, her childhood was full of unwanted tension. even before they divorced, it was clear the couple was spiraling toward an inevitable demise. amber’s dad was stuck in a dead-end job that didn’t bring in enough money to fund his wife’s careless spending habits, which was a popular topic for the post-dinner arguments that amber was often an unwilling witness to, despite her closed bedroom door. when the pair at last legally parted ways, it was a not-so-well hidden fact that neither of them were too fond of taking custody of amber—they married too young, to satisfy the expectations placed on them to start a family neither really wanted.
    
    darla madden drew the short end of the stick.
    
    even before the divorce, darla had never been all that stable—she’d just been better at hiding it. despite the loveless marriage, she took the separation hard, no longer having the benefit of a working husband and a nice house to lean back on when things got tough. she didn’t even bother to unpack the boxes in the small apartment she and amber had been forced into before she began the taxing process of dousing her sorrows in alcohol. instead of high-end stores, darla became a regular at the late-night bars.
    
    on the bright side, darla was a happy drunk. alcohol made some people violent, but not her; it wasn’t until she was sober that the bitter, resentful feelings surfaced, which she took out on amber. darla blamed the girl for most of her problems—if it wasn’t for her, maybe, what was left of her marriage could’ve been salvaged. amber wasn’t good enough—if she had been, she would’ve acted as the puzzle piece that the couple had been missing. her father might’ve considered taking her with him if she’d been of any significance, but no. amber wasn’t sufficient for either of them.
    
    to block out her mother’s true thoughts and intentions, amber did her best to ensure the woman stayed drunk, and when that wasn’t possible, she avoided being home altogether.
    
    as amber got older, she resorted to couch-hopping, spending the night with anyone who had the space for her after a long day of school and working the closing shift at the diner two blocks from darla’s apartment. it wasn’t much, but any freedom from her less-than-ideal family life was a victory, no matter how small.
    
    the biggest victory of all, however, was the day amber moved to college, packing away her belongings without the usual sentiment that recent graduates are susceptible to when leaving behind the things of their childhoods—amber was more than happy for the chance to get away, to start over in a place she could belong, where people didn’t take pity on her because of her upbringing or use her as a scapegoat for their short-comings.

  Leyla was forced to become a problem-solver and nurturer too soon. However, she holds no grudges for her circumstances and capitalises on her aptitude for acting as an older sister figure for others who need it, either with practical solutions or emotional support and comfort. Yet, she may elect herself as the sisterly figure for people who are reluctant to receive help, for better or for worse. Leyla possesses an analytical and observant mind and prides herself in her ability to notice minor details, particularly when those details prove to have a larger impact, as it may occur in her specialty. Working hard and maintaining a strong work ethic have always been important values for her, though she occasionally has to remind herself to take a deep breath and relax with her favourite pastimes.
  
  Much to her chagrin, Leyla has been described as “overly emotional” and “sensitive” before and while some of those remarks were made out of patronising or spite, there is also some merit in the argument that sometimes her emotions cloud her judgement. She is known for taking things personally, even when unwarranted and no personal offence was intended, and is relentlessly protective of her ideas and thoughts, as well as the people closest to her.   Rocco is a prime example of a former gifted child who had been told that he is talented and brilliant, only to grow up and experience burnout once he realises that he is not all that remarkable in the grand scheme of things. Studious and academically-oriented, Rocco is knowledgeable in his field of study and motivated to get to the ranks of the top academics. Yet, secretly or not so secretly he has his insecurities, particularly when faced with people more learned than him, and driven by a need to prove himself whenever he encounters someone who he believes to be plain wrong or who challenges his viewpoints and knowledge. Rocco has a strong sense of practicality and organisation, both academically and in his personal life, though there are outliers - mainly bad habits - that escape his neat life order. His opinionated and judgmental nature generally doesn’t help him gain friends or amiable acquaintances, nor does his bluntness and willingness to argue for hours just to prove his point.
  
  One characteristic that he lacks but is stubborn to admit is creativity and imagination, as various people in his life have pointed out throughout the years. Even if unintentionally, Rocco is predisposed to doing everything by the book and has difficulty thinking outside the box. personality: his kind and helpful behavior mainly describes him, and his creative and decorative behavior is secret. he wishes for everyone to have more and is an activist for righteousness. boshbanter tells many people to stay inside more for safety, though he tries to travel with some friend for safety if he must travel at all.

his favorite holiday is christmas, and when boshbanter decorates, he tries to have something christmas for decoration. posing boshbanter does secretly, and such with such secrecy, is him as such; him, trying to exist alone. such is him, lazy, though he is ambitious.

he is fond of trying to exist refreshingly. such behavior shines from his literature and ambition. with the people he is friends with, he might try and refresh them with creativity and imagination.

he is fond of: feeding children, the color super light pink, existing alone, helping others exist more alert of badness, helping others exist more confidently, helping subside badness, putting objects differently, helping others get more food while their traveling or suggesting specific people order food from home, the thought of the world more neat, and literature.

his fondness of beaches shall shine at cabo, and he shall put decor around him. boshbanter is imaginative, and is fond of playing. such behavior shall exist at the beach with plenty of decor he is fond of.
