The realm of Tarot has been around for a long time, the cards telling you something, each with it's own meaning. But what few people don't know, is that the Tarot are based off of the champions of the gods. These champions battle every few thousand years for the god's entertainment. The gods imbue their champions with their power, their very essence. the beginning of the battle between the champions, commonly referred to only as "The Game", is marked by a catastrophe, each event as a tribute to a certain Major Arcana. There are twenty one cards. Twenty two players. One champion per card, with the exception of The Lovers. The last Arcana standing is given immortality until the next game, and the others are reborn before the next game begins, with each of them usually being young adults. Each Arcana has unique abilities, influenced by the gods who chose them. The players are born into ancient bloodlines, each one continuing to produce the next champion of their god or gods. Each Arcana also has a unique call and Tableau which help to identify them to other players. The Tableau can only be seen the first time they are viewed by another player, or when they are reversed. A player's call is heard, and it's volume depends on the proximity of the player (the farther away they are, the quieter). Some players' families have chronicles and know what they are doing when The Game rolls around, others are totally unprepared for The Game and have no clue what they are. You decide.
