Bethuny saw the kick coming and sent out his own powerful kick to intercept it.

Voliath was circling above, his eyes scouting for danger and he saw the demon and the new comer who hid in the shadows of the 'older girl'. He let out a low growl and checked to see if the 'Dex girl's guardian saw them too.

Dex, realizing her mistake, rolled to the side, in the nick of time.

Farida's ears perked up from the sound of the growl. Seeing the demons, she leapt to her feet, hackles raised. Barking at Dex, she readied herself for battle.

Dex, hearing her companion bark, stood up, and instantly saw what was wrong.

Bethuny was about to capitalize on her Dex's lack of concentration when he too heard Voliath's growl. He looked up and saw the demon chasing the new comer who was hiding behind the girl who's name he still didn't know.

"Perhaps I will show you an energy attack after all." He said to Dex, as he held his staff in both hands and pulled it back over his head, then opened the link between his lightning core and his staff, and instantly visible lightning appeared at the staff's curved end tip.

"Watch this Dex." He said calmly, and in such a speed that his body almost became a blurr, he charged at the demon and swung his staff straight at it's chest. The chest broke immediately upon impact, and the demon fell to the ground dead, with it's broken chest bones having pierced it's heart and lungs.

"Let me have some!" Des yelled after Bethuny. Running at the next demon, she threw one of her knives, hitting the demon square in the eye. Reaching the demon she jumped on its back, slitting it's neck. Des quickly jumped back off, letting the demon fall to the ground. She yanked her knife out of the eye socket of the lifeless demon. Glancing over at Bethuny,"Remind me not to get on your bad side."

Bethuny had to admit, he was impressed.

"This was my first time meeting that demon, it hadn't done anything to get on my bad side yet. You should see what I do to the few who do manage to though."

Bethuny looked at the demon Dex had killed.

"You're not bad at it either Dex." He said to her, and looked up as Voliath let out a low roar and took off towards their home.

"Well, I guess it's time for me to go. Perhaps we will cross paths again one someday." He said to Dex as he spread out his blue and purple wings, ready to take off and follow Voliath.

Grimly looking, at the demon Bethuny had killed,"I'm not so sure I want to see those who do." Realizing he was starting to leave, she quickly blurted out. "I had better see you again! You still owe me a fight!"

"We'll see what nature can produce, but if I see you again, I'll make sure that I finish our fight." With this, Bethuny launched into the air, and flew towards his dragon brother.

If she did ever see him again, she would win that fight. She would train hard.

Hearing a crunch behind her, Dex realized there were still demons left, and they looked angry. Sighing, she looked at Emerald. "Want to help? Or should I just take care of it?"

I was tired of fighting with Nelion, so I stopped. I walked away and entered the house. People that like to fight sicken me. Why do people have to so brutish. I wanted to make myself some food, because I was starving.

Nelion scriowled at Xaviera back irritated. Who does he think he is walking away from their fight? He was planning on finally ridding himself of that thing. Shaking his head he turned to Emerald curious about what she was doing.

"YOU'VE GOT TO DO BETTER THAN THAT VOLIATH" Taunted Bethuny as he dodged yet another swipe from Voliath's iron blade armored tail. Their training hall was a mess, disastrous utter chaos. There were still some signs of small lightning flashes on a few iron poles, and Voliath's armor had a couple of dents on it. But Bethuny was by far the worst, he had gashes of all kinds decorating his naked torso and a few cuts on his leather clad pants.

He spread his wings and lift himself into the air once more to avoid Voliath's iron claw. As Voliath's claw struck the ground and dug in, he saw his chance. Voliath's back was currently exposed, his wings flapped open leaving his spine exposed.

Bethuny charged his staff once more, donating so much power to it that he hit his limit, so much so that the staff was barely visible from the yellow lightning flashes covering it.

"NAIGASHI KAMINARI HANMA!" With a raw burst of power and speed, Bethuny surged down in a blinding light of yellow and struck Voliath's spine with a resounding screeching bang.

The dragon let out a surprised eardrum piercing roar and jumped back, purposefully landing on his back, but by the time he hit the ground Bethuny had already jumped back off.

Bethuny looked on at the rocks covering his friend, hoping that he had broken his spine, he could always heal later. But luck was not on his side, Voiath blasted all the rocks off him with a mighty roar, his wings spread and his back straight, signaling that his spine hadn't even taken a crack. Wth speed faster than Bethuny could dodge or counter, the dragon's tail sped straight at him, and pierced his exposed torso. It didn't stop there though, as it lifted him into the air and carried on moving until it crushed his body against the wall. He felt and heard his back bones shatter as lights flashed in his eyes.

Blood spilled from his mouth and his head hung down. Had this fight been with anyother creature, he would have been panicking from the ceratin death, but he knew that Voliath would heal him as soon as he fell unconcious. The last thing that Bethuny registered was the triamphunt look on his friend's visible green serpentine eye and his head dropped into an abyss of darkness.

Dex then saw the new comer fall. She then decided that she would have to just kill off the demons, then save the poor fellow.

She whirled to the demon and drove her knife into his stomach, she was starting to get swarmed. Refusing to back down, she yanked the knife out of the stomach of the demon, and sent a series of slashes against the swarming demons. Immobilizing two, she decided she needed to fend of the others before she could finish them off. She then felt something pierce into her wing. Crying out in pain, she whirled around and cut the neck of the attacker, one more left. She turned on her heel and threw her knife, hitting the demon in the chest. Flicking her wrist to get a new knife, she turned to the other demons, that she had immobilized. "Sorry to leave you in pain" she then cut their throat.

Sighing she pulled her knifes out of the dead demons, and wiped their blood on the grass. Whimpering at her hurt wing, she made her way to fainted new comer. Checking for injuries, she found a few on his back. The demons had probably got him. Ripping a part of his shirt, she made a bandage for the claw marks. Picking him up, she brought him to Farida. "I need you to take him to the nearest stream so we can properly clean the wound. I'll follow you." Placing the man on Farida's back, Farida took off. Dex started to follow, grimacing at the pain.

Staring at the dead demons with a hard cold eyes, Emerald's grip on her sword tighten. More attacks of demons were happening more often. That could only mean one thing. War was coming and fast! "Someone get Cadin to the medics. The rest of you....start training now. I want everyone to be in top shape for the war."

Hearing the order from Emerald, she whisteled to her friend. Farida instantly came trotting back. Dex took Cardin off Farida's back. "Can someone else take him? I hurt my wing pretty bad."

Looking down, she saw that Cardin had somewhat regained consciousness. "No, we'll take care of it, just hang tight." She felt bad for him. He looked like he had gotten injured pretty bad, and the poor guy thought it was his fault. It was the demons fault, not his.

Luciano returned from her run/fly with Aeolius and saw the mess. She looked around, "what happedned?" Aeolus sniffed and growled then she knew what it was. "A demon...?" She mumbled to herself, surprised that she didn't notice it. She turned to the injured person, "we need to take him to the medics." She looked at Aeolius, "can you carry him please?" Aeolius changed into his true form, which is much bigger than his normal one and Lucina lifted him up and out him on Aeolius's back.
