Fantasy The Angel Warriors

Fading Shadow

On the Run as always
Standing on her favorite ledge alone, Emerald looked around at the famous battle field where the Great War took place 100 years ago. The light breeze brushed against her feathers. She let her wings open up just a tad bit to let them air out. Emerald wondered where Nelion went. He told her he would be gone for only half hour. It's almost two hours. She sighed annoyed a bit.

Luciana flew just above the trees in the quiet forest as Aeolius, her guardian animal, who were below her on the ground, ran. Both of them were at the same speed. Aeolius increased his speed, challenging Luciana to catch up to him. She grinned and speed up, catching up to him. "You're getting slower Aeolius!" She shouted, the grin were still invisible on her face, "I think you're too old for this!" Aeolius turned left quickly, taken her by surprise, but she followed him, turning left and tried to match his speed.

Bracing herself for impact, Dex widened her stance, and unfurled her wings. If Falida was going to pounce she'd be ready. Dispite her stance she felt the need to dodge. Quickly whirling to her left she sees a white blur, Falida, whirl past. Falida skidding to a stop, turns and nods at Dex, letting her know she approved of the move. Dex happy with her small praise is too late to get out of the way when, Falida pounds her to the earth. Laughing at her own foolishness gets up and gets ready to go again.

'Some say the apocalypse will be a burning inferno that will scorched anything and everything in it's way. Some say the waters will rise from the oceans, streams, ponds and rivers alike and flood the lands. Some say a great wind will blow everything away as easily as blowing out a candle. Some say the ground will crack open and swallow everything in it. Some say it will end in darkness, none will see what happened. Others say it will end in light, we will all accept our fates and know that we are going to a brighter place.

But I say, that the world will end in lightning, when lightning strikes the earth, the ground shatters. When it it strikes woods, it gives birth to fire, when it strikes a whirlwind, it blasts right through it. When it strikes water, it becomes stronger. When it strikes in the dark, the darkness moves away. When strikes in the light, it is almost invincible, which makes it more lethal when you can't see it. So yes, the world will end in lightning, after all, how can you stop it?'- From the diary of Bethunomel Golia Cecsus.

Bethuny closed his diary and looked up at the skies, they were so bright and alive, hard to imagine that they would look down at a war filled with blood and sorrow. The blue sky represented life and happiness, two things that he treasured less and less everyday. What's the point of being happy when you have no one to share it with?

Bethuny sighed and turned back to present, his dragon and brother in all but blood was quietly waiting outside, ready for the brutal training that they always have together.

Voliath the Destroyer of Fiends. A fitting name for the monster Voliath had become, the monsters they had both become.

Nelion scrowled mentally scolding himself as he hurried toward were his sister was waiting. Emerald was going to be so mad. He was supposed to have been back over an hour ago but he had gottan sidetracked on his way from the market place. A young merchant had been selling pendants and he saw one that he new would be perfect for Emerald. The merchant had been stubborn about selling it and kept upping the price. If he hadn't realized the time and given in then he probably would have been there forever.

The wind brushed against his wings as he glided across the sky flapping them accasonaly. The pendant he had bought was cool against the palm of his hand and the rays of the sun fell into his eyes. If he wasn't used to it he probably would have been blinded by it. Yet since he was used to it all it was was an annoyance.

He could have cheered when he saw his sisters form on her favorite ledge. At least she hadn't left him behind. With a powerful flap of his wings he landed next to her a wide smile on his face.

Hearing a flap of wings, Emerald smirked slightly. Looking over her shoulder, a big smile appeared on her face making her look younger than she was. "About time you got here! What took you so long??" She asked in wonder. Emerald walked up to him and gave him a tight hug then letting him go and stepping back. "You know we have some training to do. right?" She sarcastically spoke while giving Nelion a sarcastic look. Before she could say any more, the ground shook several times. Emerald looked around before spotting Drago walking towards them. "See? Even he remembered." saying as she stuck her tongue out.

"Oh shush Emerald." Nelion smirked sticking his tongue out at her in return." Or else you won't get your gift." Teasingly he dangeled the pendant in front of her face by its chain waving it. "I wouldn't mind keeping it for myself."

Seeing how shiny it was, Emerald couldn't take her eyes off it. "So pretty." Without realizing it, her hand reached up and touched it lightly. Then she snapped out of it. "You tease" She smiled playfully giving a playful look. But her focus went back to the pendent with her finger poking it.

"I may be a tease but your a brat." Waving it mockingly again he moved it away teasingly from her Pocking finger. He stuck his tongue out at he again winking impishly.

Glaring lightly, "You are older by five whole minutes, so you are the biggest brat I know." Not taking her eyes off the pendent, she smirked coming up with an idea. In her other hand, a pendent formed from her fire. It looked and felt like an actual pendent. If Nelion was to take it, it wouldn't burn him but it would fade away. "I'll trade you pendents!" She showed him hers. The pendent was a shiny red with light black swirl designs on it.

Nelion couldn't take his eyes off the red and black fire pendant despite knowing it was going to fade. He wasn't a fool after all. That had his sisters signiture all over it.

Glancing at the pendant he held uncertainly for a moment he shrugged before handing it to her snatching the fire pendant from her hands. He had never intended to keep it in the first place. The fire pendant was so beautiful. It'd was so dark yet bright.

"Like my latest creation, don't you?" She asked proudly. "I've been working on it for a while." Then Drago growled. "Are you two going to stand there and talk or are we going to actually train?" Emerald sighed. "We're coming. Hold your tail." She mumbled the last bit. Turning to Nelion, she smiled. "Come on, better train for a while."

Nelion snorted nodding as he trailed behind her. He slipped the pendant on as the walked. It felt warm against his chest."Your getting better thats for sure. To think that you can do this when after getting your power you kept catching things on for."

"I try my hardest making objects." Reaching the very edge of the ledge, Emerald turned around, smiled at Nelion, and free fallen backwards. Letting the wind catch her wings as they uncurled, she was nose diving towards the bottom fast, very fast. When she was a foot away from the land, she pulled herself up in time to line herself up. As she was pulling her sword out, the blade golfed itself in flames. The flames were a deep red, almost black red. Then with the speed she was flying at, Emerald did a daring move of quickly flipping around on a dime and stopping waiting for Nelion.

"Show off!" Nelion laughed as he let himself fall. He waited a few moments before throwing open his wing. He glided the rest of the way folded his wings back up as he got near. Flipping he landed in a crowch smirking at Emerald.

Falida was set on running drill after drill. Soon, however, she was satisfied. The only thing that wasn't tired were Dex's wings after they were done. Deciding to take a flight, she pumped her powerful wings skyward. Reaching at an extremly high altitude, she plummeted downward, thrilled at the rush of adrenaline. That's when she remembered, she was supposed to train with the group. She stopped herself mid-drop and headed to the cliff.

I had awaken in a mild sweat. I knew that I was for training with Emerald and Nelion. I must have over slept. Man my day wasn't getting must better, definitely when I must train with someone as dark as Nelion. So I raced out of my room, and found Tablo just chilling a corridor. "Come on Tablo, were late for training!"

((@kira blackthorn , would it be okay, that if Nelion, and Xavier hated each other. It would make sense Dark vs. Light))

Emerald looked around her and Nelion. "Brother, aren't we missing someone?" Then she remembered who was missing. Xavier. She crossed her arms and sighed annoyed.

"No." Nelion said quickly scrolling. He had hoped Emerald wouldn't notice. Why she would want to train with someone like Xavier is beyond him.

"I'm sorry that I'm late," I yelled to Emerald. I felt ashamed that I was be scolded by her. Normally I one of those guys that don't ever sleep in. Tablo was quite shocked that it had happened. That when I saw Nelion, I could see the dark particles floating around him. To be honest I don't why we started to accept people like him here in the first place. He smells of pure death.

"Damn it." Nelion muttered shutting his eyes as Xavier came closer. That pure white aura of his was gonna blind him one day. Waiting until his eyes grew used to it to open his eyes he snarled toward him.

Knowing there was gonna conflict between the two, Emerald smirked starting training right away. "Xavier....try and get yourself out of this." Then suddenly Drago wrapped his large tail around Xavier's body tightly. Wings and everything. "That's what you get for being late." She told him frowning.
