Renee is the embodiment of a free spirit - someone who takes care of themselves and lives as she sees fit, not caring for society's views of her. After all, she is a believer in the individual being most important above all and is willing to argue to death with anyone who opposes her opinion. With such little regards for the community, she is also an adventurer, who will sometimes disappear for months while traveling, and tell no one about where she is going. Yes, that is potentially dangerous, yet everyone who knows the girl is aware that once she has her mind set no one may tamper with her decision. Basically, she is a painfully stubborn individual. Yet, even with this trait there comes a good side - the fact that Renee is unwavering.
Bio
Renee was born into an upper class family, in which her parents were both journalist workaholics. She was the middle-child out the three daughters her mum and dad had, so, as the stereotype goes, she was the worst treated out of them, being left to her own devises for most of the time. During these periods, while the watchful eyes of all grown-ups were busy staring blankly somewhere else, the young girl started discovering herself, especially her love for wild-life. She was particularly obsessed with flowers and began tending to those planted in the garden of her childhood home. With doing this, curiosity towards biology was born, then towards ecology, and then towards travelling and exploring all the natural wonders that the world has to offer.
Well, despite burning up with wanderlust, Renee has never really gotten the chance to go any farther than respectively Canada and Mexico. The reason behind this is that the 25 year-old is actually pretty much broke. Being a college drop out, who is on bad terms with her parents (that constantly pressure her during family reunions to renew her botany studies), the girl lives a simple, yet exciting lifestyle that she would never abandon. Renee is the type of woman who goes around hitch-hiking for the trill of it, sleeps under the stars when she feels like it, has a private flower exhibition on her terrace, doesn't return to her apartment for months at a time, and completely adores trips shared with good friends. Thus, Renee never refuses an offer to go out in nature.
Mentality
Renee believes that individuality and freedom come before all and is willing to fight for this dogma of hers. In addition to it, the girl also stands on the side that everyone is entitled to their own body and life and should not be judged as well as not judge. Having grown up in an upper-middle class family and sent to a decent college with ok grades, Ben has been living a fairly mundane life and has never been used to extreme work or large responsibilities. His social life was healthy and he lives alone in a small house, working comfortably in finance. He enjoyed his calm, quiet life. However, without a girlfriend or any passions, he has just recently begun questioning his reasons to live. He decided to go on a hike with some friends to take his mind off things for a little bit, and that's where this all starts.
Mentality:
Sometimes is helpful, but tends to run away from large problems and sometimes blames others for problems. Slow to react.
Note: Ben's character is purposefully boring because he's supposed to get interesting as extreme events are thrown at him. Tobi has had a normal life so far; loving home and parents. Things in her life have been constant and, admittedly, a little boring. She craves change and excitement, tired from her regular routine.
