the frame you’ve captured. in 2005, the fashion and entertainment industry is cutthroat.
only the best make it out alive–much less without suffering lasting damage.

these young adults and teens living their days out in the marilyn street
warehouse apartments are up and coming–it’s hard to see past the alluring glamour
nearly on the tips of their fingers. who could blame them?
the rise to stardom is alive and well.
it’s plain to see that at a blink of an eye the tables could turn–the same way your empire
can crumble in an hour.

even those who claim a nonchalance to it all have some sort of drive to keep pursuing this
lifestyle. some may hold healthy or rather gangrenous conspiracies over how the top of
the food chain really operates, but what they don’t know is how truly and gut-wrenchingly
dark this world can be and what it has potential to turn you into.

nonetheless, the plight for fortune and notoriety persists.

The main apartment complex your
character will be residing in is the Marilyn
Street Apartments which are notoriously
inhabiting ambitious models. From
the basement flats to the 8th and top
floor lofts, some are studios, 1 bedrooms
or 2 bedrooms.
Think of it as some dorm situation–everyone
has their opinions on which floors are
the worst or the best. Often, the entire
building turns into a huge party
house–something
the warehouse building has
been famous for since the 90’s.

Your character belongs to
one of four circumstances
whether they specialize
in commercial,
runway or print ads.

Ford Model Management:
A top modelling agency since 1946.
If you’re signed here you’re considered
elite and widely respected or only there
because of nepotism and daddy’s money.
They tend to go for the most striking
faces and their height requirements
for women are 5’10–the highest in the
industry, their requirements for men
are 6’2. This agency is considered
the most pretentious.

Wilhelmina Models:
Ford’s biggest rivals since 1967.
If you’re signed here,
it’s the same story as Ford.
They tend to go for
more commercial faces
–the “fresh face, conventional beauty”
as they call it.
Their height requirements
for women are 5’9 and men are 6’0.
Under the guise of being progressive,
but really they’re just as pretentious as Ford.

New York Model Management:
Erected in 1985,
they’re one of the newer agency giants.
Some may consider your signing there
being as if you couldn’t hack it
at Ford or Willa,
but NYMM un-disputably holds it’s own
and has gained a lot of popularity recently
and are considered the “cool” management
with their recent inclusivity
and attention geared towards
what the new generation is all about.
Their height requirements for
women are 5’6 and men are 5’10.

Lemon Lime Agency:
Started in 1999,
they may not be the biggest
or well known
but they are the home
of many freelance models
wanting more control
over their careers and money.
They have no height requirements
and have a hell
of an attentive and hardworking staff
of agents.
Don’t be fooled!
These models have been
on the rise as of very recent.
