Fallout-like roleplay

I am looking for a group of 3-4 people to enjoy a fallout like roleplay with. It would be set in a wasteland. The story would develop as we went along. Due to what happned in another post, we will just be having the rp here.


If you would like to be in it, I suggest filling out this character sheet-like thing. It is not required, it just might help get a better idea of your character, just pm it to me.

Character Name: Ben Strizer

Character Description: A 5"6 medium build man. worked at vault tech for a year with his father before being thrown into a vault as a "Harmless test" He has burn marks on his arms and a small scar on his forehead. He is more charismatic then normal but seems to lack strength. He has brown hair and green eyes.


Stats: (30 points to spend, 10 max as starting)


Strength- 2/35


Perception- 5/35


Endurance- 5/35


Charisma- 7/35


Intelligence- 4/35


Agility- 4/35


Luck- 3/35


In regards to factions, the ones currently present are as follows:


New Californian Republic (NCR)

I'm interested but I have some questions. Where would it take place? What factions will be present? Will it include contents from the 4th game? (I'm waiting to play it and wouldn't want to accidentally see any spoilers). Will the characters be survivors from the surface or vault dwellers?

I haven't played/seen the 4th game yet so your fine there.


In regards to factions, the ones currently present are as follows:


New Californian Republic (NCR)


Boomers


Powder Gangers


Greasers


These are the starting factions, more may be formed as time goes on or you may form your own.


As said in the title, it is "Fallout-like" which means it won't follow exactly what fallout is. It will have the basic structure, but other than that will have little similarities to the Fallout series (besides the factions). The start would take place in 2281. If you haven't guessed by now, we are going off of New vegas. You will start in California, from there it will be open world (You could go to Maine if you tried!). Characters will be mostly surface survivors, but occasionally there will be vault dwellers, including you.
 
Man, I'm really hoping to meet and join up with the Brotherhood of Steel, hopefully they'll come around as the story progresses. What's the take on Caesar's Legion? Are they decimated or still regrouping? Also how will the dice mechanics work (with combat, conversation, etc.)?

Caesar's legion is still regrouping, no character knows they exist yet. As for dice, it would work in a d&d type way where you roll for most things. D20s & D8s will be the most used.

Character Description: a small girl of roughly an inch over her fifth foot. pale and flawlessly skinned with shoulder length black hair and deep blue eyes. due to her clean and flawless yet well preserved appearance, she appears to be a young girl fresh from one of the vaults. other than wearing her old school uniform, and well, her black hair and blue eyes combining with her pale skin and slender figure to give her that sickly appearance that helps her draw sympathy. she is very adorable.


High Concept; a charming vault bred science genius who uses her wits and youth to overcome situations by making others do her work for her. if psionics were an option, i would see if i could make her a telepath.

i realized, i am the youngest person in the party. but i likies. and well, i had to keep my "Luck" and "Charisma" respectable because "Little Girl".

Works, will just pretend there's a few scuff marks here and there on the outfit or something.
 
scuff marks are finesies. adds to the charm. and well, i kinda did a less minmaxed build. because i figured minmaxing wasn't a good idea. and i figure a less minmaxed build is more suitable to a child from a vault.

Character Description:

Lexi is a rather short women at 5'3, she has short blond hair that is cut down to a zero at the sides and is normally combed over at the top. She has a rather pale skin despite being born out in the wastelands. Lexi stole a vault 134 jumpsuit off a dead person she found while adventuring in one of the old vaults she ended up stumbling on something that was probably meant to be kept between the vault staff only. She entered the room and the door suit trapping her and a strange machine opened which she entered only for it to remove her arm and replace it with a mechanical one with a pit boy on it. That hand packs on mean punch. She is very luck often finding things just laying about that she would have thought would have been long gone.

Any ideas for a setting? Canadaria maybe, there isn't much we know about it, but that would just take make it more fun. If you'don't like some help fleshing out factions, don't hesitate to ask.

You will be starting out in a town called Betch. It is located in California and is around the upper part of California. You all are Vault dwellers and aren't completely used to the new world, but you aren't new to it. The area you are in is controlled by the NCR, so being on bad terms with them could get you killed.
 
but my mommy? shes an Alchemist. she supplies her skill in making medicine to the Civilians and her skill in making explosives to the Vault Defense force. how could they consider killing my mommy? there might be that one time mommy made a child in a beaker, but that was 13 years ago and the child hasn't done anything dangerous. i swear. well, she even made my kitty in a Beaker. my kitty is a war bred Calico named Titania. and well, Titania has been very loyal and reserved. she wouldn't harm anyone unless they harm me or mommy. well, Titania hunts Rad Roaches for me quite efficiently, i have never seen a real diamondback, but i assume she could hunt them in hordes.
 
Guys, I think we can start. I will create the thread for it and then I will link it here and we can start :)


More can join, we just would need to incorperate them as a late.

People who join are always just normal vault dwellers with nothing on them.
 
i guess, as a not very amazing combatant, i guess i could use a genetically engineered attack cat (well reskinned guard dog, think of the overprotective feline version of Dogmeat). i guess i could Sac a Perk for it if i had to. but i was considering either going with psionics (which could be delayed until i recieve the injection of a blood sample from a psionic creature or something), or going with learning gene modification from mommy. i mean i had an idea of an "Alchemist" (mix chemicals and create minorly modified artificial life forms like an Attack Cat with stats comparable to Dogmeat)

If your background contains it yes. You would still start at a level 3 skill though.
