Unlike many mmorpg games, one of the identifying features of Terra Digitas is the lack of a defining class system. The reason for this is because players are free to build there characters as they so choose, using the stat system.
What does this mean?
This allows for the hybridization of certain would-be classes and more freedom in character creation. Instead of having a warrior class character, where the stats are decided for you to favor physical attributes such as strength and defense, a player can work themselves up to the warrior class by allocating their stat points in their desired stats.
Say a player is aiming for a warrior build, then they would favor Strength, Defense, and Vitality over Wisdom, Will Power, and Intelligence.
Say a player is aiming for a mage build. They would favor the opposite.
but if a player was aiming for a battle mage? They could allocate a certain percentage of their sp into one set of stats, and another percentage of their sp in the other.
Not only can a warrior-mage cross can be achieved, but exactly HOW much of each class they want to be can be set with smart allocation of their skill points. With this, each player can build towards their personality and fighting style.
Not only that, but Stat points also carry into real life. High strength will allow for impressive feats of strength outside of the battle ground. High Intelligence can prove helpful in an Alchemy lab. A circus acrobat can benefit greatly from high dexterity.
It's all up to how you, the player, choose to build the character.
