Personality: Cocky and arrogant, Damian believes that his royalty status puts him above everyone else. He was taught to respect anyone who is stronger than him and shows blatant disrespect for everyone else. He sees nearly everyone as their inferior and his respect is mostly reserved for his mother and father. He believes that he can beat anyone. Damian can be a sore loser. Sometimes, he is ignorant, because he believes that he knows everything. When encountering failure, he will keep trying until he succeeds.

Backstory: The kingdom of Harwell has always been known for its military prowess. Getting its powerful weapons from the kingdom of dwarves, Harwell is known for its tight security and brutality. Having a tyrannical hold over its citizens, the punishment for attempted escape from the kingdom is death.

Damian was the first and only son of the Harwell royal family, all of whom have no magical blood. His parents are both powerful and dangerous duellists, capable of defending themselves. Since birth, he has been trained in many forms of martial arts and knows how to use many weapons. Of course, he was trained mostly with a sword, after his parents interrogated a wizard who could supposedly see into the future, torturing the wizard until the wizard had a vision about Damian being the worthy person to wield one of the ten blades.

Ever since, Damian has been forced to train harder than ever, being pushed to his limits. His parents believe that Damian will bring the kingdom of Harwell glory and return the kingdom to its glorious days, when the kingdom was larger and constantly pushing boundaries.

Irithil was once an energetic being with an unrivaled will to race about and tire out other people. Nowadays he is one of the tired people. Time, magic, and experience, have tempered Irithil’s personality and made him far more docile in almost all aspects. The only instance when this is not the case is when his protective nature reveals itself.It is one of the traits he was known for the most in Obo and something he is quite proud of. Having raised his younger brothers after the passing of their parents, he couldn’t avoid developing a protective side that wanted to shield them from the pain of the world.

Despite his docile and standoffish demeanor, Irithil is actually very open and kind hearted. He enjoys meeting new people and while he isn't the type of person to laugh loudly, he does love a good joke. As well as a bad one. Conversing with others is something that has always come easy to him, but as a royal and someone who he suffered familial loss, he tends to dance around topics that can cause a spike in darker emotions.

Before the arrival of the undead army, Irithil’s favorite thing to do was read or paint when the weather was nice. Many blame his long life for his dulled sense of adventure, but Irithil sees it as taking time to enjoy simply existing. Life needn’t always be one thrill after another. Magic is his first true love and while he hasn’t learned anything new in a long time, it is part of his daily life and exists in everything he does.

Backstory:

Just over a century ago, Elven royalty was set to visit the great realm of Obo to celebrate the signing of a new peace treaty that would carry both nations into a golden age. However while en route to the city, the royal family was attacked, betrayed by their own people in a grab for power. The King and Queen’s corpses were left on the road, and their newborn baby orphaned in their abandoned carriage. When the royal envoy didn’t arrive on time, a search party from Obo was dispatched to find them. The soldiers were shocked by the sight they found.

The young baby was taken to Obo along with the bodies of his parents. Right away it was clear what had occurred on the roads and so the King and Queen were buried in Obo as they could not be sent home. With civil war rising in his homeland and no interest in waging a war against a country at war with itself, the King and Queen of Obo decided to adopt the baby. He would become their first child and the light of Obo.

In the years that followed, Ithiril’s homeland collapsed, destroyed from within by the very corruption and treachery that gave rise to the coup which took his parents from him. IN their absence however, he gained two loving and wonderful guardians who he would come to call mother and father.

As a child Irithil was energetic and boisterous. He had everything he could need or want, including good friends to keep him company. Elves were not unfamiliar in this land so he experienced discrimination very rarely in his childhood, but when he did it was always related to him being the hier. He learned to ignore those things as best he could, and never let his parents know that people spoke to him about such things.

Getting older, Irithil’s innate magica; abilities became more and more apparent. His unchecked magical power was often the cause of many accidents within the palace and on trips away from the capital he was seen as a liability. So it was decided that at the age of 5 a tutor would be hired to teach Irithil to use and control his magic. At first he seemed a hopeless cause with little potential for reigning in his energy, but when they found an Ent teacher, things seemed to change. What magic the Ent knew was nature oriented and that seemed to be easier for Irithil to grasp. The energies of nature worked to calm the wild personality of the child, essentially taming him and allowing him to focus his mind.

As time passed Irithil’s skill with magic grew to the point he was using more than just nature spells. He proved proficient in sigils, enchantments, and even dabbled in divination. He adopted new tutors every year and they all attributed his success to his elven heritage, a fact that Irithil and his parents denied whole-heartedly. It was hard work and diligence that caused his success.

Irithil lived in a literal bliss, even when his parents announced that they would be trying to have children together. Both of them being in their primes, they wanted that experience again of raising children. Although the nobles had pressed them for the past two decades to have children, they always considered Irithil to be their heir. The children they planned to have would be for themselves and Irithil, to give him a family when they were gone.

The years flew by and as his parents aged and his siblings grew, Irithil remained the same. Even as his parents passed away on his 50th birthday, Irithil still appeared to be only in his early twenties. He consoled his young siblings and did his own crying and mourning in private. With his younger brother only being 11 at the time of his coronation, Irithil acted as his advisor and counseled the young King as best he could. For decades Obo knew peace and again Irithil watched his loved ones grow old. He tried to mentally prepare for the passing of his siblings, but he couldn't predict what would happen next.

When the army of the undead arrived on their doorstep there was nothing they could do to stop them. Every dead soldier was a new enemy to face and despite the use of his greatest spells, Irithil alone could not vanquish the threat. He insisted his siblings take their children and flee, that he would by the time, but his brothers refused to leave his side. As the walls fell and the armies fell, Irithil watched his younger brothers rise among the ranks of the dead. It was then he took his leave of the city with what remained of their family.

They headed west and along the way warned everyone they crossed paths with. Irithil headed for the city of Souraoi and sent his family further west for safety.

Name: Sujime Aranu

Appearance: Having a thoroughly mixed heritage as she does, Sujime has a rather unique appearance. She stands just over 6 feet tall, much taller than most human women. Her body is bulkier than that of most elvish women, but also lither than that of most orcish women. Likewise, her skin has a very pale greenish hue, something of a mixing of orcish green and elvish pale. Sujime's face is pretty, seemingly taking on more elvish qualities, though her incisors are noticeably large. Her dark hair is usually in a single braid at the base of her neck, just to keep it out of her way. For all intents and purposes, its quite easy for onlookers to determine that Sujime has mixed blood.

Armour: Sujime doesn't wear armor, preferring light clothing that doesn't hinder her movements at all.
Items: Sujime now carries 2 swords: her own and the one her grandfather gave her before they parted ways. Both swords are attached to her left hip, one right above the other.
Skills:
  • Iaido: Sujime has been trained by her grandfather in Iaido her entire life. While she feels inadequate with the sword compared to her grandfather, she is actually quite masterful in the art of drawing her blade and resheathing it at impossibly quick speeds. Some may even say Iaido is the perfect swordstyle for an elf/orc as it utilizes the gracefulness of an elf and the brutality of an orc.
  • Unarmed Combat: Due to Iaido's reliance on using the sword as a means of countering an opponent's attack, practitioners of Iaido, like Sujime, are often heavily trained in unarmed combat. Her style of combat relies on fast movements, parries, and dodges, followed by a counter of her own.
  • Heightened Reflexes: Due to her training, Sujime's reflexes and perception of the world are heightened compared to most people.

Personality: Sujime hasn't spent a lot of time with many people and is remarkably naive. Combine that with her lack of knowledge about the world and Sujime is particularly easy to fool. She doesn't like hurting people, but her body almost acts on its own due to the years of training she's received, meaning that while you may be able to talk circles around her, if she feels threatened or endangered, she will respond physically.
Backstory: Sujime doesn't remember her parents, having been raised by her grandfather. The two lived the simple life, a days walk from even the smallest of towns. They would, on occasion, head to town when they needed things, but for the most part, the two lived apart from civilization. The two practiced their swordsmanship nearly all day every day, though her grandfather often came up with games that allowed Sujime to enjoy the training, but continue to grow stronger. In this way, little Sujime felt like she was playing with her grandfather most days, though she was really increasing her physical strength and speed. When she got to be a bit older, he took her to town and bought her a sword. The girl loved her weapon, and he began training her in its use. Afterwards, Sujime asked her grandfather why some people wore armors to protect themselves, his response lives in her head at all times: "Those who need armor are too slow to avoid being hit."

Sujime noticed as a young child that she looked different from her grandfather. On their rare visits into town, she began noticing how others looked at her. She often looked for anyone that looked like her, but rarely found any. She would, sometimes, catch glimpses of people that seemed similar to her in coloring or other ways, but no one that looked like her completely. It wasn't until she was 10 that her grandfather finally explained why she looked like she did and why she didn't look like him. This is the story he told her: When he was a young man, he fell in love with a beautiful wood elf. Her love affair with a human samurai was looked down upon and she was put on "bedrest" when she became pregnant with their daughter, who would one day become Sujime's mother. The samurai lost touch with his love and his unborn child, eventually losing track of the nomadic wood elves as they moved through the forests. Once born, the young hybrid had trouble finding a place she felt like she fit in, so she often traveled and adventured. These were the same antics that got her mother in trouble and history repeated itself. The specifics were left unspoken, but the hybrid showed up on her father's doorstep for their first meeting. Unfortunately, she was with child and never spoke of the child's father. The childbirth was a real ordeal, lasting a couple days and Sujime was born, but her mother died. The human vowed to take care of Sujime, as he'd failed to do with his own daughter.

Now that Sujime is of age, her grandfather is sending her to Darkstone to join the guild. His hope is that she will gain some much needed experience as well as some confidence in her own swordsmanship.

Despite having no memory of who or what he was before obtaining Yami no Ken. Oshtor seems content to spend the rest of his days wandering and fighting strong opponents. It is in the heat of battle where Oshtor feels truly alive. Battles that place his life on the line against foes who can challenge him bring out the best in him.

Appearance: Of small and thin stature, Haru comes in at 4'9" and about 80 lbs. Her growth was partially stunted due to a refusal to accept a secular diet early on, though her religious practices keep her overall appearance looking healthy.

Items: Though she lives a modest life among the peasantry, Haru still keeps a small chest of items from her past life. These include a richly woven kimono, a stack of coloured paper and a ceremonial sword.
Magic user: Other than a few aspects of her religion which could be considered magical (delayed aging, improved balance and keener senses), Haru specializes in a single field of magic. She holds the power to imbue origami with life-giving light, turning them into small, autonomous lifeforms.

Personality: Reserved and often emotionally distant, Haruna believes in a philosophy of balance. She chases after her convictions relentlessly, always true to herself and her way of life. She doesn't hesitate to make difficult decisions and likes to offer a helping hand to those with similar struggles. To her detriment though, she comes across as lazy and even cowardly in the face of duty and the like. Adding onto this, she may appear rather unstable at times, taking brutal measures which should be washed away with equal good later.

Backstory: Born to one of the richest and most prominent families in all of Souraoi, little Haru grew up pampered and spoiled. She was cut off from having friends by her parents' insistence on a strict learning regime, material abundance being as good (or even better) in their eyes. This upringing caused the child to slowly shut off from everyone around her, a slight resentment igniting as she watched the others play from her ivory tower. Upon reaching puberty, she ran away from home and adopted a religion popular among hermits, disappearing into the midsts of peasantry. This scandal tainted the name of her family for good, causing them to lose prestige and their place among the top. Unable to birth a new successor to their fortune, they fell into obsurity and became a mere cautionary tale for their contemporaries.

Other: Plays several traditional instruments and holds extensive knowledge on upper society. Picked up origami as a hobby instead of reading the books handed to her in childhood. In battles to the death, she relies on sheer brutality over her traditional technique. After all, it would be unfit to taint the ancient arts with blood.

Backstory: Her history is shrouded in murky mystery. Where she came from and who she is is unknown she simply came to be one day, wandering the lands. Word of a wandering swordswoman spread throughout the lands who could burn away Anki with her powerful fire magic or crush them. Those that have seen her have not seen use Kokotu Yoru though. She has only ever used it once, the only known witness to confused to even know what they saw. Currently she is on the road to a large town close to the Grand City of Souraoi, the village of DarkStone.

Magic user?" Yes she uses dark druidic magic. While there is no true difference between the dark and normal druid magics the arts syla focuses on are closer to the side of death than the side of life in nature and thus tends to use more fugus, poisons, and other "twisted" forms of druid magic.

Personality: Syla is not one would expect from a gorgon, she is no evil beast seeking to turn as many as she can into statues and even dislikes the use of the ability. Syla can be eloquent and polite if one is willing to see beyond the reputation of her race. As a priestess of Thallea Syla is dedicated to nature, but not in the same way as other devotees of the goddess. Syla sees more in the decay than in the blossoming of life. To her nature is a balance of life and death, and that death is forgotten by the other devotees who seek to bring about as much life as possible. While many might think she would worship the god of death then, Syla finds that narrowminded for death and decay bring forth new life what is must end for what will be to exist. In truth Syla finds little wrong with necromancy, though agrees it should not involve the binding of souls, yet finds the Anki as disrupting the natural order for nothing grows from them. They are death yet life does not follow them. When fighting Syla prefers to act as support over a front line fighter calling forth flesh eating spores and bone shattering fungus to dispatch her foes and if out numbered using plants to puppeteer the dead to shield herself.

Backstory: Hailing from the isolated kingdom of Islokya in the swamp of the same name, little would be known by the just and good kingdoms of the other lands. Many might guess about her based upon her homeland. Islokya is known as a land of monsters and worshipers of darkness, it is a seemingly lawless land where even vile necromancy is tolerated. What little is known of the land comes from the lips of those few surviving heroes who sought to cleanse this vile place. There are few would point out that such a place will be hostile to those seeking to kill those that live there, but such people are a very quiet minority. There are counter stories from those who did not decide to go in as crusaders seeking to root out evil, of communities of the cast out and scorned come to live without the threat of persecution. From these storytellers a different picture is painted they claim Islokya while darker than many is no more evil than any other. They claim that the gods of good show favor to even this dark kingdom and have many temples erected in their honor. What the truth is many will never know but what is known is Syla is a priestess of Thallea the goddess of nature that is worshiped all over so at least one god smiles upon the kingdom of monsters.

Other: Gorgons have lifespans of up to 300 years, their stone gaze while not a myth is something they must willingly activate. While many think Gorgons have a snake lower half that is their cousins the Medusia.

Personality:
Yumi is a hardened individual, with a large amount of focus and patience. As a result, she tends to be quiet around others, though not by choice. Its easy to strike up a small conversation with her and in truth, she can be very friendly and kind. Yumi has a strong sense of dignity and honor, following her personal moral code as much as possible.

Backstory:
Once a child of a warrior, now being one herself. Yumi was born into a clan of traditional warriors who lived in an isolated village north of Souraoi. This clan was by no means well-known to common-folk throughout the land, but to those that extended their knowledge to myths and legends, there have been mentions of swordsmen with dragon tattoos on their bodies. These warriors were considered extremely skilled and not to be taken lightly, but there are tales of those who foolishly challenged them and never came back.

Over the years, Yumi was trained in multiple different forms of conflict, from swords, throwing weapons and using her own body. When she was of age, she took over leadership of the clan as her father grew old and frail. Her mother was by no means a fighter, so the responsibility fell onto Yumi. Regardless of who it is, the leader always inherited the nickname "The Dragon".

Guillaume Bonneau

Appearance: Guillaume is an average height, medium build, male human with tanned skin and black hair. His eyes, which he keeps closed most of the time, have a grey color to them. He keeps himself well groomed and well dressed, maintaining a more modern human look.

Magic User: Yes. Guillaume is a skilled user at water magic, though he knows relatively few spells compared to the other professors, he's had an affinity for it, and his usage of water magic in his day to day life has given him an extremely fine control over the element. He is also a practitioner of telekinesis, though he never advanced his study of the field beyond personal and everyday use, his weight limit is similar to how much he could hold with one arm, and his reach is no further than a bedroom.
Guillaume is also a professional alchemist and researcher, working for The Wizard Academy at Razul. He and his team recently discovered a way to synthesize a mana-infused/mana-hungry ink, and using this ink he was able to cast spells through sigils that would take a person years of practice to do in just a moment. A novel way of doing magic, but one that is incredibly dangerous, as it allowed anyone and everyone to cast higher level spells without the proper respect, practice, or maturity required for each one. Learning the language to each element and each action is an ongoing process, and Guillaume has stressed the importance of keeping the recipe, knowledge, and language of this 'Scribo Precantatio' a secret for now, at least until they learn the limits of this method.

Armor: Nothing so obvious, but his clothes have been enchanted with Scribo Precantatio sigils. His jacket, shirt, and pants have sigils of physical and elemental protection, giving his cloth clothing properties similar to steel chainmail, and temperature regulating properties to ensure he is never too hot or never too cold.
Items: His clothes, and his white cane. He has a pair of rings that when pressed together, would complete a sigil and thus cast a spell, but he hasn't written the sigil yet. He has a wallet, and often carries a notebook and pen, just from habit. A leather courier bag where he keeps his personal items. In his personal items, he keeps several vials of Scribo Precantatio Ink.

Personality: Guillaume is a polite, well behaved, and proper man. Intelligent, but not condescending, after all he has taught students of all ages. He is patient and gentle, almost pacifistic in nature. He keeps an open mind, despite being a professor at a renown academy, he knows that he doesn't know everything, and that the pursuit of knowledge is unending. He takes comfort in knowing that the world and its inhabitants are deeper than the deepest point of the ocean, and it stretches higher than the starlight above. As a result, he's happy to chat with people, and listen, and more than once he's found himself talking with a student too afraid to go to a counselor, but courageous enough to talk to a mentor, giving advice and helping. In honesty, Guillaume is frightened of fighting, though he knows it happens in the world the man has never had a proper fight in his life, and he admits that he's a man who would fret over getting dirt on his coat. He likes to think he would do the right thing, like he was raised to, but the last time he did the right thing it cost him dearly. It's one of his very few uncertainties.

Personality: not the sharpest arrow in the quiver XD, friendly and casual most of the time, but can sometimes be a little hard to reason with, meaning when he has made up his mind he has made up his mind, very DETERMINED, often impulsive.


Backstory: (more will be reveled in RP) born in a cabin far from any town or city, his family live off the land and never had any money. Nathan lived with his parents two brothers, a younger sister, and his grandma. when Nathan was 10 his grandma started teaching the kids magic but within 6 months their grandma died.

They hide Ea no ken by using a green cloth to cover it.
Magic user?: Well, she is a sylph. They know how to use wind magic, since it is in their nature.

Personality: This lady loves the wind a bit too much, since, unlike when she is the Everlasting Forest. They felt the most free to do almost everything she wants when that happens.
Skye doesn't mind, delivering messages to the different parts of the world, as it is the perfect excuse for her to run around in the wind. Will prepare for anything that might happen on her journey, and she is shy towards meeting new people. In fact, if she meets someone while she is on her delivering duties. They will immediately run around them, so she wouldn't have to talk to them.
Skye is friendly towards someone, who manages to talk to her. She is calm and thoughtful, and if they see someone in danger. They stop what they are doing, and try to help them. Doesn't appreciate when people take advantage of her kindness, and will disappear from that person's life if she finds out about it. If a thief or burglar takes advantage of her kindness by pretending to be a beggar, Skye will beat them up without any mercy.
They will protect her family from danger, and will immediately run back to Everlasting Forest if she finds out that they need her help.
Backstory:
As the eldest child, who was born into a middle class family. Skye would try to support her younger brother and sister or her parents whenever they need her assistance, because they know that Skye can try to do a good job at whatever they are trying to get her to do.
As for what their job is, she works at a delivery business. They deliver packages and messages to people, since if they use magic. It can be intercepted by those who have bad intentions. This lowers the risk of that happening, but they have to be prepared to deal with thieves and burglars on their journey.
Other:
The pegasus boots were a birthday gift from her parents, since they know that Skye needs to get to their location as soon as possible.
Same thing goes with the sword, map, bedroll, tent, a cooking pot, canteen, and the backpack.
Skye is from Everlasting Forest.

Items: The duo were masks a black on lamb a white on wolf , Lamb also carries her bow which seems to create it's own arrows.

Magic user: the pair have many strange mystic powers mostly themed around what they are, but they are limited in many seemingly inconstant ways.

Wielder: yep Yami no ken

Personality: Lamb is a calm and collected individual rarely displaying overly powerful emotion. Still she can be curious and playful when she wants to be. In the pair Lamb often takes the dominant role when interacting with wolf listening to her commands without fail. Wolf is the emotional of the two prone to outbursts and goading people to run so he might give chase. When confused or having a question Wolf will ask Lamb about it before any other. The two often will finish each others sentences or will make similar comments without needing to speak to each other before hand.

Backstory: Ask any priest, in any nation and you will get a different story. In some they are born of a hungering void that sought to eat all, to others they are one god of death that judges the souls of all that pass. The truth will likely never be known as even the pair will admit they do not know their own story. if asked and in a good mood Lamb may tell her own version of their story. She will tell of a man that all had to meet and thus tried to avoid. the man would wander alone never welcome and never staying long. So he took an axe and cut himself in to so the two halves would never be alone. That is of course just her tale and how true it is, is up to debate, but many cultures now know of the twin beings the lamb that brings swift death with an arrow and the wolf that brings a painful death with his teeth and all will meet one of the other.

Appearance: Her form is a beautiful buxom woman at about 5’9” tall. She has pale alabaster skin that blends with her long silver hair, her fair features complemented by her piercing violet eyes.
Armour?: None, her garb is that of a clinging midnight black dress accented by silver jewelry inset with amethysts. Spiderweb patterns prevalent across her attire
Items: None, any tools she requires she supplements through the use of her crawling servants.
Magic user? A inherently magical being, she can manipulate that under her domain effortlessly.
Venomancy: The most obvious part of her power, she can control and manipulate poisons to a fine degree, whether in the form of toxic fumes or acidic liquid. Wielding it as a formidable weapon
Toxicology: As lady of the slow death she a complete understanding of poisons and thier uses. From the obvious weakening and deadly poisons to more beneficial toxins that can increase a allies natural regeneration to superhuman levels and supercharge their adrenaline. Naturally she is immune to poisons as well.
Crawling Servants: Less actual magic and more to do with her status. All organisms who employ the subtle arts of venom answer to her and obey her whims. Such as Snakes, Spiders, Centipedes, toads and Scorpions, and even plants such as nightshade. Able to call them forth at her whims great or small

Personality: Imperious by nature, she sees herself as more than the embodiment of a minor elemental aspect and expects others to obey her fleeting whims. Seeing the affairs of the realm as more of a fun game to take enjoyment out of. This can make her come off as aloof, whimsical or even cruel as she can be easily flustered and incensed when she isn’t given the respect she thinks she deserves. Still at her heart she is still a Nymph, a kind hearted creature of nature who just wants to have fun despite her sometimes acidic personality.
Backstory: Alys is not a mortal woman, she is a Fae being, a nymph, an aspect of nature itself. But she is far from a frolicking maiden of babbling brooks or spring flowers. She is the lady of poisons and master of the natural beings who employ its use. Though it is a title that carries little meaning to those past squirming centipedes and lurking spiders, it is one she’s proud of.
For most of her existence she, like the rest of her kind languished in natural places and let the years and realms of mortals pass her by without much thought, concerning herself more with the propagation of toads and lizards over the rising and falling of kingdoms. Hardly even aware at all what goes on outside her dark woods.
This changed however when her fate was inexorably tied to that of a particular destiny. Upon the forging of the Ten swords the blacksmith who created them decided that the Doku-no-ken would be uniquely forged and bound her spirit to the blade. Fusing her primal aspect to the sword to grant it her power and tying her destiny with the ten swords forevermore.
