Fandom "Tears", a multi-fandom RP

I know the idea of tears or rips opening across the Multiverse, bringing multiple universes together has been done before, heck I even took part in an RP on here based around that concept called "The Clash of Dimensions" and an RP on another site called "The Clash" which had characters from multiple universes all meeting in a strange city.


This RP will do things differently, having story arcs/seasons almost like a TV show while having sections for sandbox stuff inbetween the "events" that effect the universes the characters are in. These events include factions trying to get power, full-scale invasions and even trying to figure out what caused the "tears" to begin with.


The character limit per player is quite high as well, at the moment I'm thinking it's seven or eight as this RP will cross over multiple universes. OC characters and OC universes will be allowed as well, but please do try and keep it balanced. I don't want an RP filled with nothing but OCs.

I do have several ideas for how to combat characters who are close to or are literal Gods in order to keep balance.


I don't want to ban powerful characters outright as that would make a lot of people unhappy, but I probably will introduce something into the plot that provides some restrictions on their powers, like Goku can't ascend to some of his higher forms due to a villain character taking that ability from him or there's red sun rays in some places where Superman goes.


Someone like the Doctor would have a damaged TARDIS that can only travel in space rather than space and time and Batman isn't someone who can beat anyone on the first try. Anyone who's studied Batman knows that he will fight an opponent, figure out their fighting style, patterns (ect) and thus a weakness and then return later to their kick their ass. It's how his both martial artist and detective brain works and it's why he has his contingency plans for the Justice League. He's fought alongside them, he's studied them and so he knows their weaknesses.


I'd need to study the powerful characters in order to work out some restrictions to keep things balanced, but I hope you get the idea. Some of the arcs will have antagonist characters though who will likely be at full power.

I don't think he's overpowered but I've seen people write him that way, that and the internet is full of people who believe Batman can defeat anyone. Most of this stems from The Dark Knight Returns where he beat Superman. What a lot of people fail to remember is that not only did he have help (from both Robin and a one-armed Green Arrow) but Superman was holding back and Batman put a lot of preparation into that fight.


Well a lot of people seem interested so hopefully I should have the RP up either this weekend or at some point next week.

You will have to make them as two separate characters though rather than one. There is a companion system in this RP but it only works with AI assistants like Jarvis (Marvel), Cortana (Halo) or pets like Dogmeat (Fallout) and Hedwig (Harry Potter) rather than other people.


With a character like Agent Venom, Toxin, Anti-Venom, Carnage (ect) the symbiote is counted as a companion.
